Mangodlong Rock Resort

If you wish to have a quick getaway at a very afforable rate yet has the most beautiful white sand resort, Mangodlong Resort should be on top of your list. The food, the staff, the rooms (hey, they have new rooms yayyy!!) all are very recommendable! I also love the fact that they have swimming pools. So when I don't want to swim at the beach, I have the option to enjoy the pool 🏊

as usual, it was the sand, sea, sun, shore and sky that made this beach a great go-to place this summer. located in san francisco, cebu province, this gem has a 3-star accommodation that is budget-friendly. it has a pool that stays shaded by the surrounding trees. if you want saltwater and bask under the sun, the beach is just 20 meters away. the sand is creamy in color but not as fine as those found in boracay or palawan. ample parking is available. wifi is stable. they also provide meals chosen from their menu.

So this iconic spot rocks!! (Excuse the pun) the view and the beach cannot be beat, and the staff is outstanding in every respect. The restaurant is very good, which is a good thing, because there really isn’t a lot of other dinning options nearby. Still, limited dinning takes a back seat to the wonderful setting and relaxing vibe. Of course, this is all true, but you should be aware that if there is one hotel on the island that is a destination for day tourist, it is Mandalong Rock Resort. This simply means that expect to have a full resort every weekend as a number of Instagram wannabes show up to the resort to take countless photos of themselves. And of course, if you’re unlucky enough, you might be treated to a family birthday party with Karoke machine ready to roll over your idealic Vaca. Still, I’d definitely stay here again, but I’d make sure it was on a week day

The staff were very accommodating (Ms. Cheryl and Sir Paul John) together with the owner Ms. MacJoy. You've made our short stay a meaningful one. May God bless you more. Their hospitality, the view, the rocky shore that serves as a habitat of species that we've seen makes this place worth recommending to friends and relatives out there.

I was looking for a relaxing escape from the city and the resort was great for that, staff were great.

- So bad, I didn’t even stay there - Upon arriving around 12pm, we were told to wait until 2pm to check in. (it was a straight "no, room is not ready. check in is 2pm, come back at 2" - very shocking no hospitality) This should have alarmed me, but I waited under the sun for a long time... and checked in after 2pm. The room was so tired and dirty, "beach front" room does not have a beach view as they claimed on the description, smelly air in the room, stained bath towels.... I could not stay there, so I complained at the reception, and the manager told me they can't do anything about it, and told me to contact Expedia instead. So I checked out at 2:45pm. Contacted Expedia after I relocate myself to another accommodation. Expedia did all they can to get a hold of hotel rep by emails and phone calls, but the resort ignored all of them. Very disappointed, as the Santiago resort I stayed was not bad, and the owner is the same. - Bad customer service - Photos of the exterior must be old, they now have a beaten up, tired looking octopus slider (which is not functioning) on the small islands area.

Stayed for 3 nights. Location fabulous. Pool excellent. Room comfortable with a/c, flush toilet and hot shower. Staff helpful and polite. Restaurant location on the beach is great but the food not great and expensive. Most Filipino dishes were good but everything else was average. Had 3x breakfast 3 mornings and every egg was overcooked and hard (maybe the Filipino way!). It was also appreciated when we arrived early and were still allowed to check in.

The service was excellent with really nice and accommodating staff. The room was clean and fresh. Seemed newly renovated with nice decor. Shower and toilet worked well. The cleaning was handled fine. The location is outstanding right by the sea in a quiet bay with inviting surroundings. The amenities were satisfactory. The restaurant served local well-cooked food. However, it could take quite a long time to be served when there were many guests. Would have liked a slightly larger selection on the menu and more drinks to choose from. The best part was the breathtaking view of the sea with ships passing in the distance. The resort accepts daily guests. This can inevitably be experienced as disturbing if you are looking for a totally calm environment. It didn't bother us though.

Very friendly staff, helpful and patient. Accommodation, room, is big and very clean. All is well maintained. The beach is cleaned every morning. The kitchen is not so expensive and very good quality. There's free internet, sometimes cuts out but that's to be expected on an island. Would absolutely recommend.

Place was super relaxing and the staff were very accommodating. Looking forward for my next stay in Camotes still at Mangodlong Rock Resort. The price offered by Expedia was such a great deal! I was able to save a lot from the usual walk in price..

This was our 2nd time we stayed for a weekend at this resort. The rooms are spacious and the resort very clean. The restaurant serves good local food and also during this difficult time, we got a nice choice and the food was delicious.

It was a great place, very relaxing and budget-friendly. I enjoyed beach volleyball when I got there with my group. The waters are the best and the sand is really white and clean. This is also a good place to eat seafoods without going over your budget. Planning to revisit this place

I visit Camotes Island last January 22 with co worker for a quick visit since we are from cebu City only . Camotes island is just a small island but lot of beautiful beaches and caves to visit . And one of it is Mangodlong Rock Resort one of the best resort in Camotes . The resort offers whitesand beaches , swimming pool and cliff diving . The resort is very relaxing and quiet. Pool and beach are ok. Comfort food are available. Staff are also good and accommodating especially James. The only cons is dogs are everywhere and poopoo is visible in the sand.

사실 망고들롱 파라다이스 리조트랑 헷갈려서 여기를 예약했어요. 우선 파라다아스 리조트는 자리도 없었고요. 그래서 처음엔 실망을 할뻔 했는데 락 리조트 앞 바다풍경을 보고 넘 행복했습니다! 스노쿨링하기에도 락 리조트 앞 바다가 훨씬 좋은 거 같아요~ 바다 바로 옆 식당도 있어서 물놀이 하다 바로 망고쥬스도 먹었고 저녁에는 공연도 있어서 좋았어요~ 아기자기한 느낌의 숙소라 기억에 남을 거 같아요. 덕분에 카모테스에서 좋은 추억 남기고 갑니다.

The room was clean very basic. No fridge in the room. The resterant was good at very good prices, out of the seven days we stayed four of those days we had no towels in the room & had to ask for them & two of those days we got one towel between me and my wife. The small beach was nice but you had a lot of day trippers coming in & sometimes they were quite noisy. On the whole we had nice chill out

Posizione ottimale anche se la, struttura è un po ' datata. Servizi e cibo a prezzi ragionevoli. Spiaggia con sassi e seagrass come un po' in tutta L'isola. Posto tranquillo per rilassarsi.

Mangodlong Rock Resort 餐廳便宜又好吃～我們在camotes五天有四天都在這裡用餐，推薦butter chicken and Mangodlong pizza. Resort設施完善，比較偏BnB但房間整潔又大，有free wifi，熱水也很夠力。重點私人沙灘極美！比起Santiago beach這兒的海水更藍，美景無價👍 員工也很和善，我們因颱風被困在島上員工都有提醒我們船班訊息，這樣的價格真的物超所值❤️

Overall it is a great value and good location. A short distance to white beach and a scooter rental just outside the front door. The room was great by comparison to others on the island. Spacious, nice bathroom and shower. Clean, nice TV. Coffee service tray. Restaurant was good, staff was good. Try the halo halo when it’s available. The only disappointment was the water slide looks like It hasn’t functioned in several years. The swimming area is a bit rocky but not too bad and it’s the ocean. With a mask and snorkel it’s all there. Overall very interesting, and unique and comfortable. I would stay there again. Very casual. Nice pool.

Our room is clean, resort staffs are friendly and accomodating 😊 The place is nice, only the dagat was not really nice and is'nt clear. But over-all rating is very good

아주 조용하고 편안하게 쉴 수 있습니다. 통신은 거의 안터진다고 보시면 되겠고 객실이 작은 편이고 냉장고가 없는 게 아쉽습니다.

Good resort on nice beach. Room is basic, but spacious and comfortable. Private beach is good with clear water, grass, corals and some fish. There were enough sunbeds on the beach. Restaurant was OK, with reasonable prices. Cons: there were a lot of people on the beach from outside as beach is available for all people for small fee.

Deceptive advertising and no cancellation allowed even when confronted with deception

에어컨디셔너도 잘되고 직원들도 친절했으나 수영장 물은 깨끗하지않았고 수압이 낮아 물을 받아쓰거나 따뜻한물도 가끔 안나옵니다 그러나 찬물이 아니라 괜찮습니다. 식당은 맛있습니다.

This is my 4th stay here over the years and used to love this place for the location and laid back feeling. It still has its charms but now welcomes bus loads of visitors to swim and hang out for the day. There was also a corporate team building group who took over the beach for 2 days. I don't resent the resort for generating income but it makes it a less attractive option for tourists. On the plus side it is good value with clean rooms, a nice restaurant and the pool is nice when you can get in it. Camotes islands are well worth a visit and still mostly undeveloped but next time will probably try the paradise resort next door.

Inprove internet ,and power supply ,limit the number of day vistor,s

The parking area was dirt. The room only had a sheet for blanket and one tiny pillow each person. Towels are not change to clean ones upon request because we only stayed one night, considering they are a beach resort they would be offering change clean towels. If you request extra towel, you pay 50 pesos per towel. The slides for the octupus whic was the main reason we booked it was closed even when the water was high tide. The food wasnt good at their resto. The pool has a swimming fee. The shore is rocky and full of algae. Front desk staff was not informative and was not helpful.

Unfortunately, there was no internet when we came. Other than that the resort was great and their staff were friendly. Although, I was told by one of the staff that I needed to pay more to have our towels changed the second time.

Prices are very reasonable and very helpful staff.

This Resort has its own white sandy beach seated in a bay surroundet by rocks. The whole area is clean and convinient for couples or families. The friendly staff is always arround and helpful. There is no wifi availible, but it´s perfect to relax without getting disturbed.

A very relaxing place to stay. Good food, and friendly staff. Room could use some updating, and a refrigerator in the room would be nice.

They did not follow with our reservation for 8 but they only prepared rooms for 6 only

It’s a beach front property with 10 rooms only with ocean view. Rooms are decent enough with minimal amenities. Service staff was nice and helpful. The restaurant was sad with very limited menu and below average service. 15 mins away from the Consuelo port the property also works as a resort during daytime with lot of walk in customers

We visited already twice this place, because it's a nice small resort. The rooms are big and clean, yhe pool is small and not really good for small children, but the beach is one of the most beautiful on Camotes. The restaurant offers very good local food, except the Pasta and Pizzas. Try a massage from the "Hilots" working at this place. All in all it's good value for money and you will enjoy the place.

This resort is beautiful. It had a wonderful white sandy beach, in addition to a large private rock island (which I presume is the "Rock" part of their name), on which they are in process of building an Octopus water slide. They had a great open air restaurant, overlooking the beach. Very good food, tasty mango shakes, made from fresh mangos every time. The room was nice, overlooking a beautiful pool. The staff was very hospitable, friendly, and accommodating. There is a little motorbike rental shop right outside the gate. We rented a scooter, which was fairly new, for about 400 pesos ($8USD) per day. We rented it for 3-4 days, and drove all over both islands (Camotes is comprised of 2 islands connected via a bridge like roadway). That way, we were able to visit several other nice resorts, including another resort north of Mangodlong Rock, which is White Beach Resort (we went there 3-4 times, mainly cuz its a beautiful place, and they had the best wifi on the island). By the way, there are 2 fast ferries that go directly from Cebu City to Camotes Island. We didnt know about them, before we went to Camotes, so we rode the slow ferry from Danao City, after taking a Grab car to Danao City from Cebu, which took a full day, and night to stay in Danao. Although, we stayed in another beautiful resort in Danao called El Salvador, which made the long way around worth it. We took the fast ferry back from Camotes to Cebu City (which only about 1.5 hours). The only negatives in this resort were a) no fridge in the room and b) no wifi in the resort, of any kind.. Altho I will add, we also later stayed in Mangodlong Paradise Resort, which is right next door to this resort, and even though they had wifi, it was really unreliable. So it appears to be a condition in this area of Camotes Island (bad internet connectivity reception). btw There is a 3rd resort right next door to Mangodlong Rock, Bano Beach Resort. Do NOT stay there, it's a total dump (literally. See my review about Bano Beach on this web site).

Kein Wifi im Jahr 2018 als einziges Resort in der Umgebung das geht gar nicht. Das Personal bzw der Service war abgesehen von einer jungen Trainee ziemlich leidenschaftslos. Man fühlte sich fast so, als würde man stören. Und dann auch noch Hinweisschilder dass die Benutzung des Pools nur gegen Gebühr erlaubt ist. Das ist Steinzeit. Auch die Therapists waren eher abschreckend.

-It is one of the few resorts near the port. -They have good spacious rooms and facilities. -The place has a nice ambiance. The resort's swimming pool is too small for adults to enjoy. We also thought that it was more of an exclusive resort but was the opposite. (Lots of) People (during our stay) can easily go inside to enjoy the beach and the resort. It was not a bad thing but maybe we just expected it to be more private.

세부에 거주하며 주변 섬들을 여행중인 부부& 아이1 구성의 가족입니다.우선 바닥이 타일이라 미끄러워 아이가 다칠 위험성이 있고 3일간 묵으며 수건을 교체받기 힘들었습니다. 와이파이 절대 안되고...단 하나 칭찬하고 싶은건 음식이 맛있고 저렴했습니다.아이도 좋아하고 잘 먹었습니다.

My wife and I are budge travelers, this is the cheapest hotel we stayed at during a 10-day stay in the PI, and the nicest as well. Beautiful little beach/bay with a rock peninsula equipped with water slides. Sunsets here are outstanding, food is solid, service was great, good TV options (where I like to spend my dawn and dusk if I am at the resort due to being a mosquito magnet), hot water (this was hard to come by at budget hotels in the PI) and a short drive to the main port. Nothing bad to say about this place.

Stayed for 4 nights. Very close to Consuelo port. The food was excellent and very good value. Rooms clean and air-conditioned with satellite tv. Definitely hire a motorbike or taxi tour as there are so many great beaches and villages to visit. The islands are a lot bigger than I thought! The island goes fairly quiet after 9pm so it was good to have tv to watch whilst adjusting to the time zone. Had an excellent hour long foot massage here for 300 pesos. Only criticisms are that the bars only alcohol was beer and my wife isn’t a fan. The waiter did offer to go out and buy a liquor of her choice but we didn’t want to make him do that for one or two drinks only. Also it would have been great if they had played some music in the evenings whilst dining to give a bit of ambience. Aside from that absolutely great!

4인실 예약했는데, 침대가 더블하나, 싱글 하나... 그래서 1인매트 요청했더니, 추가요금을 받는다... 기본 서비스해줘야되는거 아닌가?그리고 드라이기,일회용 칫솔 등 없는게 너무 많다... 그래도 리조트 전경이 멋져서 이 모든 불편을 덥었다~ 밤 하늘에 수놓인 별들, 떨어지는 별똥별도 예뻤다

Sicuramente da consigliare....noi siamo arrivati il venerdì pomeriggio e il resort era tranquillo.... essendo aperto al pubblico e frequentato anche da persone locali il fine settimana è più caotico quindi se cercate la tranquillità è ok di sera la mancanza di wifi nel resort vi potrebbe all'inizio mancare ma vi assicuro che non ne sentirete la mancanza...le stanze molto grandi e pulite,,,il bagno ok ,..acqua calda ..,,aria condizionata ok,,,anche se la mancanza alle volte di energia elettrica potrebbe allarmarvi ,,,ma si tratta solo di pochi minuti e viene subito riattivata ,,,il ristorante all'interno del resort è ottimo.... sicuramente d tornare ,,,,

The hotel is in a great location. stunning views and the staff were very helpful. The only thing that let the place down was that the hotel could be updated in places looking very tired and the rooms could do with being updated too furniture very tired and broken. The cleanliness of the room could be a lot better not very clean. There is no wifi at this hotel at all very disappointing as this is on it the reason I booked there. But part of the negative comments the place was very beautiful and I would visit again

In general, the impression from the Resort is positive. Stayed there for three nights in December 2016; beachfront room #2. Pros: clean and comfortable room; clean area - you can see that management invests efforts to make the resort better; OK restaurant - nothing special but good enough to eat; friendly and helpful personnel BIG cons: somehow different insects from outside managed to get into the room. Maybe under the entrance door - there was about 1 cm space there. "Insects" = huge spider (6-7 cm I guess) and equally huge flying beetle... This must be fixed.

It was for the price an OK resort. Friendly and helpful reception. Staff (restaurant) not competent, and not friendly. Breakfast limited choices, and rather expensive. Location and view was great. Very nice beach, and swimming pool.

The Hotel was fair, if you get a fair price, the location is very nice, staff is friendly. Overall a quite ok Hotel.

I visited this idyllic place to go scuba diving. Resort did not have my booking from Hotel.com. Overbooked so first night in "the residence". No hot water and lethal staircase. Moved room next day. Fruit shakes, mango, pineapple or banana. Usually one of the three were available. Kitchen closed 8.30 pm. Alcohol... One brand of beer and that ran out. No service, even at dining room. Had to ask for menu, ask for a drink. Never offered anything. Room was never serviced. Had to ask for more toilet paper....

the room is okay. except for a crappy TV with very poor channel viewing. none cable. aircon is very good. the staffs are friendly. the best thing about the place? its the beach! its what were after so the room is just fine if you're a beach bum.... sad thing about it. expedia charge us extra for the room.. shame on you expedia.

Air con didn't work.. No tv reception.. No internet. No wifi.. Pool was out of order..( what ever that means ).. Old & run down.. Uncomfortable bed.. All for $75/night .. Do not mistake this place for mangodlong beach resort... Aussie Daren

Beach was nice with lovely turquoise water. Along the edges were scenic rock formations which had walkways made for guests. Nice volleyball court, but was rough on bare feet. Room had A/C and was "semi-clean", but had many insects. This was the main issue. Restaurant staff were very nice and made special items for us off of the menu. Reasonable menu prices as well. I liked the spot very much, but would not return to stay in the rooms, as insects are a pet peeve of mine.

We did leave the hotel aboit 30min after we arrived, alsolutely not matching our standards....

I NEED A REFUND , BAD CUSTOMER CONNECTION IN PHILIPPINES .WITH EXPEDIA , went to ferry but the weather made all ferries cancelled so could not get there .Had to go back to my hotel in Cebu was very frustrated not to be able to get contact with hotel or the Philippines EXPEDIA as i need my money back due to force majure of bad weather .
