Chester Oaks B&B

Our stay at Chester oaks was just what we needed. After a late flight in which the hosts accommodated a late check in, the fire was roaring and the bedroom was very cozy. Jasmine was so welcoming and warm and had a huge delicious breakfast ready for us at 7 am so we could go off skiing to Mount hutt. The grounds were also stunning. Definitely recommend if you enjoy a classic B&B.

良くないわけではなく、宿泊者用のドライヤーがあると良かったかなと思いました。

Sehr ruhige Lage auf einem parkähnlichen Grundstück. Zimmer mit Terasse und Blick in den sehr gepflegten Garten. Zur Ankunft wurden wir mit Smooties und Muffins verwöhnt, sehr lecker Sehr sauber, Bad sehr großzüzig. Allerdings getrennt vom Zimmer über den Flur wunderbares Frühstück mit viel Liebe vorbereitet sehr nette Gastgeber

Jasmine was a delight, she and Michael made me feel like I was home. The breakfast is absolutely delicious! Thank you again for everything!

Our host Jasmine was super attentive and communication was excellent! Everything we needed and then some was provided. The service level was truly above expectation. Breakfast was tailored perfectly to our wishes, with fresh and tasty ingredients. Rooms were spotlessly clean, fresh and very comfortable. Surrounding gardens are beautiful! Area and house so quiet and relaxing.

Jasmine was extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. She was very welcoming and let us treat her home as our own. Set in amazing gardens. Very comfortable room. Good breakfast.

Location was a little remote - but we were using it as a transit location rather than a base from which to visit Christchurch, so that was OK. We would have preferred an ensuite bathroom, albeit we were allocated our own bathroom to use across the hallway.

We liked how friendly and welcoming Jasmine and Michael were at this B&B home stay. The breakfast offerings were exceptional and by the time that we were due to leave we felt very comfortable sharing their beautiful home. Lovely grounds and gardens, cosy, warm and homely. A different but enjoyable experience on our trip of NZ.

Jasmine and Michael could not have been more accommodating, friendly or helpful. Jasmine especially did everything in her power to make us feel comfortable and at home. Felt like I was at my mum’s house.

Would have liked our own en suite but they only have one other single room and that was vacant so it wasn’t a problem.

Jasmine and Michael are supremely nice hosts that I've met, I decide to spend my birthday in their lovely house while I'm traveling, and this is a very unique birthday I've ever had, they made a lot surprise for me and treat me like an old friend of them, I ordered dinner at the night and Jasmine's cooking skill is so good, I love it, I ordered steaks and salads and pavlova cake, all of them are pretty good for me, especially the salad which I highly recommend u try it, it's the not the ordinary salad u have ever met. And I was about go the the splash&dash to wash my rental car at the night, but Michael bring out water pipe, and help me clean the car very carefully while I'm chatting with Jasmine, I don't know how to appreciate him, I just wanna say thank u to Michael again, and more about it is when I started clean the inside of the car, he think I might use the vacuum cleaner, and brought it to me, and help me plug in, take out the light ask me if I can see clearly and if I need more help, I thought most of the kiwis are kindness and friendly to the others, and now he prove it that it is true And the last, their house is very comfortable to stay, warm stove, soft bed and sofa, cleaning rooms, lovely garden, very close to the airport, everything is perfect, if u are looking for a "bag end" to stay, I bet u will love staying here I'll still stay here for one more night, if I come back to New Zealand again. I wish;)

Jasmine went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. They are wonderful hosts. Breakfast was excellent and Jasmine catered for all dietry requirements.

Gorgeous property nestled in beautiful quiet gardens. So close to Chch airport and city. Warm fire. Beautiful room with comfortable bed. We had both dinner and breakfast here and both were very plentiful and delicious. Planning our next stay already.

Very warm greeting on arrival from both Jasmin & Michael who offered us refreshments as soon as we arrived. Excellent breakfast & hosts were both very accommodating. Very comfortable bed so a really good nights sleep. The house is spotlessly clean. Lovely gardens & view out from our room. Thank you so much for your hospitality & a memorable stay! Loved the beautiful landscaped garden , the hosts immediately made me feel at home offering me beverages on arrival. We had a nice chat together. The bed was comfy . I slept so well and the bathroom was just across the corridor. Jasmine made me a lovely dinner with a fabulous Tiramisu for desert. There was plenty of supplies for breakfast . It was the perfect place to rest up after travelling and the airport was close by. Thanks so much Jasmine and Paul.

We appreciate everything Jasmine & Michael did for us to make our stay the very best it could be. The room and facilities were amazing, as well as the beautiful garden views and cosy fireplace. It's definitely one of our best Bed&Breakfast experiences.

Jasmine was such a welcoming host. The accommodation was spotless and comfortable and we were made to feel so welcome. It is a very familiar atmosphere. The room was good and the bed was very comfortable with the possiblity to heat it when you feel could. Water and a selection of food was provided. Breakfast was very personal and you could order the food wanted a day before arrival. Hosts are very friendly and cared a lot for me. Perfect location for the last night in NZ as it is a short easy drive to the airport but it is peacefully quite there. Bathroom was across the corridor, but very big and modern!

Beautiful setting! Wonderful and thoughtful hosts. They brought us to and from the airport as well as provided us with the best breakfast I’ve had in NZ! The room and bathroom were sparkling clean. They even left us an anniversary gift of chocolate.

Jasmine made our stay as comfortable as we were home! The house was spotless clean. She was super friendly and such an excellent cook! We ordered dinner and breakfast, she provided us with so much food and it was delicious! Wish we could book a couple more nights but her facility was so popular and we didn’t get in. Jasmine and Michael are exceptionally welcoming, warm and great hosts. They open their entire home, which is spacious and beautiful to their guests. Jasmine delights in providing delicious breakfast, dinner and snacks- she is an accomplished cook. The location is convenient to Christchurch but rural and peaceful.

Jasmine is an excellent host who considers everything from doing her best to keep our room cool before we arrived on a hot day, providing fans and cooler bedding if we wanted it to letting us choose which bathroom we wanted out of two available. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent with choices of cereal, fruit, yogurt, salad and some delicious Chinese pancakes. Nice garden with seating area for guests and a peaceful area

Lovely grounds, comfortable facilities and fantastic food!

Jasmine is a charming host and clearly enjoys having guests share her beautiful home. The garden is exceptional and so is her cooking. We met Michael only briefly due to his work commitments but both of us felt we would have enjoyed his company too had we been able to stay longer than the one night. Location was perfect for us, meaning only a 20 minute drive to the airport next morning.

This accommodation was clearly the best we have had. The hosts are extremely nice and helpful. The room and bathroom are gorgeous and the breakfast was probably the biggest surprise. We were really just expecting some toast and would have been fine with that. However, the host prepared a real feast for us for breakfast and I have to say I couldn't have had a better breakfast.

We booked a dinner and it was delicous. Jasmine is really great at cooking and we got an overwhelming breakfast. They fulfilled everything we have asked for. It was a really great stay and we absolutely recommend it!

The hosts are wonderful and welcomed us warmly in their home. We arrived late from the airport; they even offer a dinner option for little extra money. Jasmine prepared a delicious dinner for us! Everything was very clean and comfortable.

As we needed a place to stay near the airport after a long haul flight, we didn’t expect much. The host was ever so friendly and pleased us with a custom breakfast. Awesome and huge garden to stroll in.

Everything that is offered to entertain you, dates from the eighties. Still works though :-) The coffee was instant and we would’ve preferred fresh made coffee. Nothing to see in West Melton except houses, a small store and some gas stations.

We wanted to explore north and south of Christchurch and this location was perfect for that as we didn't have to go into the city. The garden was huge and a joy to explore with a glass of wine. If you like Asian food then you will love Jasmine's cooking. The chicken curry and homemade dumplings, made from scratch were exceptional. Jasmine and Michael went out of their way to make our stay in their house very comfortable

This is being very picky and would not stop us from staying there again, and that is there was no soap in the bathroom. I'm sure if we didn't have our own, Jasmine would have provided some
