Location was amazing. Near everything. Clean and good value. The thrift store nearby was fun and it was just down from the daily market. Parking was easy.

Décoration quasi inexistante dans la chambre, salle de bain un peu vieillotte. Les chambres donnent directement sur la cage d’escalier avec le hall d’entrée donc on entend les allées et venues des autres clients.

Very friendly staff. The hotel is right in the middle of the city so the location is excellent for exploring the city, but once in, everything is very quiet, so you can get a good night’s sleep.

The hotel is ideally situated for visiting La Rochelle. Its very central. The staff are fabulous - very informative about places to see and things to do. The room is small but the bed was very comfortable. Hotel de Paris is in an ideal position, its very central but also very quiet at night.

I would have liked a kettle in the room, but that is only my own preference. There was tea available in the lobby. There is also no AC but we were advised of this before arrival.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in der Nähe der tollen Markthalle und verfügt über einen sehr schönen Innenhof. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und der Balkon sehr angenehm. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, zumal La Rochelle eine sehr schöne Stadt ist.

Le "partage de balcon" avec la chambre voisine… Nuisance quand les gens rentre dans leur chambre et fume au balcon alors que les fenêtres sont ouvertes.

Le personnel hôtelier était particulièrement aimable et à l'écoute de nos besoins. L'emplacement est parfait et nous a permis de découvrir la ville aisément malgré le handicap de l'un de nous.

Le lit double était un peu petit pour deux personnes.

Très bon accueil avec plein d’informations et de conseils pour les visites et centres d’interêt. Chambre propre, avec ventilateurs pour la canicule. Il est possible d’y « garer » les vélos loués le soir

C’est un détail, mais un deuxième porte serviettes au dessus de celui déjà existant serait appréciable quand on est 4, et qu’on a 4 serviettes à faire sécher

Excellent staff, very accommodating. And so clean! The building is imposing and it is close to the city centre. We have dinner by the old port (mules frites) which was delicious! La Rochelle sets a very positive example of effective tourism!

No suggestions really, the hotel serves exactly the purpose of the place it is in!

Fantastic location with super friendly and helpful staff. The actual room was very basic, but so comfortable that we overslept! Luckily the team were very patient as we packed-up. Recommend for a quick visit.

Excellent location making exploring the old town and markets very easy. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Nice quiet courtyard to enjoy. Room was adequate for a family of 2 adults and 2 young children for one night. Value for money.

The room was a bit tired, particularly the bathroom. It would also benefit from some sort of air conditioning option in the hotter months.

Creo que es caro para lo que ofrece. Cuando lo compras te esperas algo mejor a lo que recibes cuando llegas. Las almohadas eran enormes y duras, muy difícil dormir así.

We liked the unbeatable location - in the downtown walking area next to restaurants and cafes and main attractions, the breakfast was nice, the receptionist was really kind and friendly and welcoming. We also liked the nearby public (parking souterrain Verdun) which even in high season had a place for us and was also cheap for a one overnight stay.

We arrived in July on 40 degrees C weather which also during the night stayed close to 35 degrees. The family room we booked had no AC, but only 2 fans which felt like blowing the burning hot air during the night on our bodies. We both & our 2 kids took multiple showers that evening as we felt like dying in that room. On top, the balcony door was blocked by the neighbours who had their exit on the same balcony, so we could only open a tiny (bathroom like window 40 x 60 cm) which did not help at all to cool the room. We could not wait for our overnight stay to end faster in this accommodation. I would definitely recommend the hotel to do something about the rooms located on the last floor as the conditions during our 1 night stay felt inhumane.

Hotel con mucho encanto y muy bien ubicado en zona tranquila. Personal muy atento en todo momento. Nos guardaron el equipaje el último día.

La única pega fue el calor que hacía en la habitación. No tiene aire acondicionado pero ya lo advertían. Tiene ventilador pero igual podíamos haber pedido otro. La verdad que nos tocó un día muy caluroso en la Rochelle. Por lo demás estupendo.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and my room had the best view! The delicious breakfast gave me a great way to start my day's adventures, and the location allowed for easy walking to various restaurants, the metro, and the grocery store across the street. The vendors along the street were a delight. I felt safe as a solo traveler and more than comfortable.

j'espère que pour l'été 2027 l'hotel installera la climatisation, car en pleine canicule il est quasiment impossible de dormir, ma chambre donnait sur la cour avec aucun courant d'air.

L'hôtel est idéalement situé, à deux pas du marché et à une distance parfaite du port : suffisamment proche pour s'y rendre à pied, tout en étant assez éloigné pour profiter du calme. Le personnel est vraiment très sympathique, attentionné et toujours prêt à donner de bons conseils pour les visites, les restaurants ou les activités. On sent qu'ils font tout leur possible pour que le séjour se déroule dans les meilleures conditions. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et recommandons cet hôtel sans hésiter.

Malgré l'absence de climatisation, qui rendait la chambre un peu trop chaude en journée, notre séjour s'est extrêmement bien passé.

Very good location within the old town. Good parking close by, in a safe underground car park. The mother and daughter who run the hotel are super helpful and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. This is a 2 star hotel, so doesn't have the facilities of a large hotel, but is a great base for exploring La Rochelle and beyond. We will definitely stay here again. We were a little apprehensive about the lack of aircon in a heatwave, but even at 34 degrees we found an open window and a fan to be adequate at night

Enjoyable 4 night stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the hotel owners are friendly and helpful and I was able to leave a hire bike overnight in the hotel courtyard. I have stayed at the hotel before and would definitely recommend.

Very friendly and helpful staff.nicely arranged and well appointed rooms. There was no air conditioning but with the fans provided and the building’s warding off the extreme midday heat during a heat wave we managed to sleep quite comfortably. Excellent breakfast and located nicely on a quiet street at the edge of the old town and only a few minutes away from the old port.

Suite à l'annulation de mon déplacement, je n'ai pas séjourné dans l'hôtel. Cependant, le personnel a été très compréhensif et d'une grande gentillesse. Ils ont d'abord fait le maximum pour m'accorder une chambre ne donnant pas sur rue et ensuite, m'ont spontanément proposé de reporter ma réservation à une date ultérieure, ce qu'ils n'étaient pas obligés de faire. Je ne peux que les en remercier et le faire savoir. Un rel sens du service devient rare...

No hay ascensor ni aire acondicionado, por lo que no es ideal con niños ni mucho calor.

Wow what a welcome. Arrived hot and sweaty and the reception wouldn't let me check in until she had served me a cold lemon infusion. Fantastic old historic building. Room bright and airy. lovely courtyard. Right in the old town. Perfect for bikers parked on pavement right outside hotel. (not sure if it could take a group of 10!) Room overlooking bike. newly renovated bathroom was a big plus. Shower fantastic.

Malheureusement pas toujours très aimable à l’accueil : très sympathique mais on a l’impression d’être à l’école avec la maîtresse pour tous nos faits et gestes et c’est dommage car souriant et des qu’on pousse un peu la conversation peut être très agréable.

Central location easy access to the port, restaurants and shops and also car parking is located very nearby.

Cupboards are very old and sliding doors to the cupboard were difficult to use.

Excellent accueil : de bons conseils à l'arrivée, un coup de main avec la valise, toujours quelques mots échangés le matin au petit déjeuner. Celui-ci est très bon, le buffet est varié et fait maison, tant en salé qu'en sucré. La chambre est jolie et le lit confortable. Le fait qu'il y ait des volets est un très bon point pour l'obscurité la nuit et pour éviter l'accumulation de chaleur en journée. La rue est calme en soirée, donc la chambre côté rue n'est pas un problème, avec une jolie vue sur un musée et les toits par ailleurs. L'hôtel est très bien situé dans la ville, tous les lieux d'intérêt sont accessibles à pied.

Il manque un peu d'espace de rangement, ne fût-ce qu'une table de nuit avec un tiroir pour pouvoir ranger quelques vêtements dans un espace fermé au lieu de l'étagère "ouverte" (mais c'est habituel dans les chambres simples, il faut bien optimiser l'espace disponible).

We only spent one night but its a great location. Very central to visit the old town and port area. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. 2 min walk to the bus stop for the airport. Room was OK in size, clean and had a good shower.

We were at the front of the hotel 1st floor looking over the main street. As it was very hot we had to open windows in the evening to cool down the room. Fan was provided but room was still very warm at night. We were told that it is a quiet area...no bars or restaurants near by which is true however unfortunately it was still very noisy. Bin lorries, people walking past and then vans passing in the morning I assume for the market at the end of the road. All added to a difficult night's sleep. Ask for a room at the back if its summer

Le patio même si nous n'avons pas eu le temps d'en profiter

The location was great...near the market and within walking distance to everything, but far enough away from the noise of the waterfront area. The room was perfect for what we needed, and Jessica at the front desk gave us great local recommendations that we went to and helped us fall in love with la Rochelle.

Einfach alles! Sehr süßes kleines Hotel, wir hatten ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss mit einer kleinen Terrasse zum Innenhof, schön kühl und leise. Wir wurden super nett empfangen und hatten ein ganz tolles Frühstück! Wenn wir wieder mal in La Rochelle sind kommen wir sehr gerne wieder
