Quite outdated decor. Stained curtains. Carpets need a deep cleaning. Quite pricey for a room looking out into a dark alley. Only a few sea facing, bright rooms. No ramp at hotel entrance, no help with bags up steep staircase. Definitely not 4 star, more 3.5

Reviewed Sep 16, 2026The location of the property was wonderful, making the palace and major sights easily walkable. The hotel staff were exceptionally attentive, knowledgeable, and hard-working. When our bathroom sink clogged, a staff member arrived immediately and replaced the pipe, fixing the issue within 20 minutes. The same gentleman also helped clear breakfast tables and tend to the outdoor flowers, showing an incredible work ethic shared by the entire team. Additionally, the breakfast buffet featured a great variety of fresh food, local delicacies, and excellent coffee, which we thoroughly enjoyed throughout our stay.
We enjoyed the spacious room, but the shower setup could use improvement. Due to the room's design, the shower curtain didn't reach edge-to-edge, and minimal floor slope led to water pooling around the toilet. Having to wipe up the floor and use a squeegee to clear water after every shower wasn't ideal, even though I recognize the unique layout limits full coverage options. It was a shame that the pillows had a persistent musty smell. Swapping them for fresh pillowcases didn't help, as the odor was coming from the pillow itself.

Bei offenem Fenster etwas laut, dh Ohropax ist sinnvoll dabei zu haben, wenn man einen leichten Schlaf hat.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026The location was excellent, right in Gamla Stan and within walking distance of many of Stockholm’s main sights.
Unfortunately, the room had a very strong and unpleasant smell of cleaning products, which made it uncomfortable to stay in. The bathroom was also quite noisy. A drain pipe from the neighbouring room apparently runs through our bathroom, so whenever the neighbours used water, we could clearly hear it gurgling through the pipe. The biggest disappointment was breakfast: I found a hair in my omelette. After that, I simply didn’t feel like continuing my breakfast. Taken together, these issues were not what we expected from a 4-star hotel, especially considering the price.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026Toppen läge med gångavstånd till allt! Priset var okej till det läget, till en bra frukost och ett fungerande rum. Det var toppen att de kunde tillgodose mat preferenser på frukosten.
Generell städning var okej men detaljer var inte gjorda. Alla lampknapparna var snuskiga! Dörren på badrummet behövdes städas bättre eftersom det är mot den handdukar hänger. Annars var det enligt vad som kan förväntas. Det saknades ordentliga krokar i badrum för handdukar, det fanns inte en enda permanent utan det var en provisorisk hängare över dörren.

The bathrooms are small with no counter space. Showers have a small glass partition that does nothing to stop water from getting everywhere. There was a unpleasant smell (coming from the pipes I think) on the last night that made it hard for me to fall asleep.

The rooms were small and the bathrooms were minuscule, making for an uncomfortable experience. One of our rooms had a few broken amenities - the hooks in the bathroom, for instance. Also the beds are SMALL.

Råvarorna var medel (danskt rågbröd jättegott, scrambled eggs mindre bra). Jag upplevde personalen som stressade och fick en känsla att det beror på kulturen på hotellet, men jag kan ha fel.

Nous vous eu une chambre de très petite de taille ( le bout du lit à environ 30 cm du mur) et très très bas de plafond, nous pouvions le toucher en levant les bras donc plus de 1m90, s'abstenir en tout cas pour notre chambre ! Nous l'avons dit lorsque nous sommes arrivés mais cela paraissait un peu compliqué de changer donc nous sommes restés. Dommage vu le prix par nuit .

We were offered a corner room with lower ceiling touching the floor almost at one side which made the room even more congested. It has become so difficult for us to even open the suitcase. Although we have informed to give us a better room, it has been postponed everyday.
