Excellent location. Will book again
Location is very convenient and close to Victoria harbor. Room is clean and staff are friendly!
Tv didnt work. Showerhead was busted. Roaches galore around property.
Strategic location. Reasonable price, but toilet sliding door totally broken, no repair and respond to my complaints
No cleaning Not changing towels every day ! Family room is far away from reception.
Staff was nice and friendly. The building itself smells like a jail. It is very dirty with garbage all around the place.
Very central to everything. Near Tsim Tsa Tsui MTR station. Across I Square Shopping Center. Adjacent to Cafe de Coral. Lots of money changers on the ground floor and some food shops.
Small rooms. Centrally located in Nathan and very near Tsim Tsa Tsui MTR and opposite I Square Shopping Centre. Adquate bed with futon. Hot shower and good AC. Common hallway with Ref. Located on the 10/F of Chungking Mansion Block C. Lots of shops, eateries and money changers on the ground floor.
Note that it is a hostel remodeled from single apartments scattered in different buildings. The residents in the building are diverse, seems most are from South Asia. Safety is a big concern.
Except check in every thing was perfect
I showed up in front of the front desk with a receipt of the reservation. The lady told me she could not find my name on her list, and let me call Expedia I bought with, after talking with Expedia, Expedia let me pass my phone to her, she refused to answer, a few hours later, finally I was arranged to their stuff's dom.......What a nightmare!
Place was strategically located very near the MTR and A21/N21 stop is just in front of the bldg. Place getting cleaned everyday. No hidden charges. Check in is very fast, the Instruction provided by the host is clear and easy. Super recommended place to stay in TST
Very good location with a MTR station only a few steps away and plenty of food options around the area. Walking distance to the shopping area of Nathan road and the Harbourfront to get the ferry to Hong Kong Island
Staff was very friendly. The cleaners did a fabulous job and i loved how clean our room was everyday. Would recommend to friends.

Good guest house.
I like the area because it is located in the center of the city.
Excelente opción a buen precio
Don't stay at this house as a single female traveller. Lots of foreigners who are watching you.
This is a very are scare plThe very scary place to stay. I have a very bad feeling. The manager, whose name is Malak or Malik, seem belonged to a terrorist organization, (He is not Chinese, he is from South Asia, most probably from Bangladesh or Pakistan. When he saw U.S. passport, he said I hate American. I booked the hotel via hotel.com I was in transit in Hong Kong for 10 hours and when I arrived there, “the manager said to me, I will not give any room, you go and find the room somewhere else. When I got upset he said, he resold the room to a different customer”he used lots of F… words. At that time it was 10:45 PM and Hotel.com booking documents say, you can check in until 4:00 AM. I am now trying to contact Hong Kong Police about this place.ace
we were transfered to room8,9th flr instead my reservation since it was full. the location was nice, close to mtr and find it easy to go to places we want. however going up & down took quite some time because the elevator is always full. the location is also near food stalls even downstairs so no one will get hungry😄 the room is really small and will fit asian travellers😄 but it was cute and very comfy!
Chose this hostel mainly due to its price and location. Harrassed by people trying to recommend hotel rooms to us when we were trying to find the correct block and correct lift. Turns out there are Blocks A to E. every block has one lift stopping on even floors and one lift stopping on odd floors. Room was comfortable but toilet was small. Clean and hygienic overall though.
Perfect, very good location and very nice staff. For the price is very good.
Lying on the floor stretch your arms out to the sides. Your hands, feet and head are touching all 4 walls. That is the size of the room. There is always a huge line for the lifts Dodgy hawkers in the lobby selling fake watches and SIM cards. Lobby is more of an alley full of vendors than a lobby. No windows. But for $360HKD a night can't really complain, stayed for a week no problems just don't expect much, great location too across the road from TST station, 30mins walk to Mong Kok or 5mins to the ferry terminal, plus the FX money exchangers in the building give the best rates I've seen
The room itself was clean and tidy, however the room was unbelievably small, there wasnt room for 2 people to be able to move around at once. Beware the photos advertised for the rooms are wildly inaccurate. It is more like a pod than a room. Downstairs you need to walk through a flea market and wait a long time in crowded lifts to get up to the room.
It was very difficult to find that exact location of the hotel. This area is super busy with Mideastern and Indian expats that will bombard you with getting a room or a taxi. After finally finding the hotel (which is on Section C all the way back of the building 8th or 10th floor), the room is super tiny and the shower is in the same room as the toilet. This room is only suitable for one person only with a little amount luggage. Our room smelled like Mideastern food everyday from the main lobby. Very uncomfortable during our stay, but we manage to bare with it. Probably the worst hotel I stayed at. It was more like a hostel. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Good for backpackers needing somewhere to crash for a night. Very clean. My experience here WAS NOT A GOOD ONE. I checked in a day late due to my flight being cancelled. I messaged the guest house and informed them of the issues with my flight. On arrival I realised they had obviously given my room away even though I had paid in full for the room for 4 nights. The owner finally took me to a room which was a single and not what I paid for. I booked a double. He then went on to be extremely rude to me shouting at me, lying about my booking and changing is story every 2 minutes. In the end he began to demand more money from me. Luckily one of his employees sorted everything out for me the following day. I wouldn't bother staying here. Small, inconvenient and rude owner.
It's not really a hotel, it's a bunch of small guesthouses scattered around a massive building made up of half a dozen blocks of 16 floors each. The room itself is very small, (double bed spans the width of the room) and the shower and toilet combined are the size of a regular toilet cubicle. The place itself is clean and the staff is helpful when they're around, but it takes 10 minutes at best to get to the reception desk as they are in another block. Location is great, in the middle of the city and the prices we got were cheap, but you do get what you pay for that's for sure. The entrance to the big building complex is littered with people offering to sell you fake watches, handbags, rooms in the hotels or drugs (same people, different time of day). Once you're past the entrance the market sellers want to sell you stuff and can be annoying. Then the lifts are very old and busy, so you might have to wait up to 15 mins to get the lift. Generally speaking, it's a good bargain in a good location but they obviously don't mention all the bad stuff on the brochures, so be aware of what to expect as the pictures are not at all descriptive of what you will actually get.
A little bit difficult to find, since it's inside the Chungking Mansion. Elevator services can be tricky. Great location, close to everything. Room is tiny but clean, well ventilated, hot shower, basically all you need for a weekend stay.
The building is abit scary downstair, but no worries, lots of tourists therr.
Tiny, had to walk through a gamet of stuff that was not enjoyable to walk through.
The room very small. I booked a double room, but the size of the bed was so small that it is comparable to a single bed. We weren't provided with towels on the last day of our stay. The environment downstairs of the guesthouse did not give us a comfortable feeling and it was chaotic. There was a long queue to use the lift up to the guesthouse. Location wise, its very strategic and close to the MTR, its also near Victoria Harbour.
The bed is too small for 2 person
Comfort Guest House is in a building with 100s of other "hotels" whose landlords stand outside on and try to coerce shoppers to come in. It is very clear these hotels are used primarily for prostitution and not sleeping. There is no check in counter. So you will have to track down the landlord who will be out selling rooms on the street. I was unable to find this guy, so I had to rent another room! As far as the rooms, the pictures are Internet stock pictures. These are not the rooms you get. You get a 5x7 room with two small beds crammed in and a toilet with no toilet paper. These rooms are so cheap for a reason.
These guys are running a rip-off. These rooms are used primarily for prostitution. They're not properly ventilated. And the pictures are far better than the real deal, as in not even in the same league.
The rooms are tiny but if you read the description you'll know what you signed up for. Then again, the rooms of even larger brand hotels ate equally small. The hotel is right in the center and super close to the metro and ferry, a great place to start you HK excursions. The hawkers right in front of the hotel are annoying, so just ignore them!
The room is extremely small.
WHEN WE BOOKED THE PHOTO OF THE ROOM SHOWN AND WHEN ACTUALLY WHEN WENT FOR CHECK IN,THE STAFFS BEHAVIOR WAS VERY RUDE, ON MY REQUEST TO GIVE BETTER ROOM , HIS REPLY WAS TO GO TO HOTEL HOLIDAY INN, I EXPLAINED HIM IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SLEEP ON SUCH BED, I WAS ASKED TO LEAVE. NOT ONLY THAT THERE IS NO ATTENDANT IN THE PLACE. ON 28 TH NIGHT WHEN I RETURNED AT 10.30 PM, I FOUND THE AC NOT COOLING, SO I CAME OUT OF ROOM TO SEEK ASSISTANCE, BUT NO ONE WAS THERE, WHEN I CAME BACK TO THE ROOM, TO MY WORST EXPERIENCE, ROOM WAS NOT OPENING,SUDDENLY THE DOOR LOCK NOT FUNCTIONING AND IT WAS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AS NO BODY OF GUEST HOUSE AROUND.I THEN WENT TO THE E-BLOCK WHERE THE RECEPTION WAS THERE BUT FOUND THE GATE LOCKED AND NO BODY OPENED AFTER TRYING WITH THE BELL AND KNOCKING THE DOOR.LASTLY I CAME BACK TO THE FLAT AND WAS IN A STAGE THAT HOW DO I PASS THE WHOLE NIGHT AFTER STANDING IN THE VERY THIN CORRIDOR FOR NEARLY MORE THAN AN HOUR.PERHAPS THE RECEPTION FELLOW MIGHT HAVE SEEN ON THE CCTV AND PHONED AT AROUND 12.30 AM .WHEN I EXPLAINED HIM HE TOLD ME THAT HE WILL SEND SOMEBODY WITHIN 5 MINUTES BUT AN ATTENDANT LADY CAME AFTER NEARLY 45 MINUTES WITH A KEY OF THE DOOR LOCK AND OPENED THE ROOM AND SHE ALSO RECTIFIED THE PROBLEM WITH THE AC OF MY ROOM-22 OF BLOCK-E
The room is small, overall are satisfaction as this is guest house. Value for the money and strategic location in HK, couple of minutes can reach the MTR station.
This place really came through for me after the Cue Hotel in HK Central cancelled my booking. I had never heard of Chung King Mansions in Kowloon but I'm glad I came across them. Because, lol, you haven't really experienced Hong Kong until you've stayed here. There must be 200 guesthouses in this set of blocks. And thank you Hotels.com for making the choice somewhat easy. I'm glad I had a booking already so I didn't have to deal with the touts outside. To prepare for Comfort Guesthouse (also Joyous guesthouse?) accept that fact that in Hong Kong to get a big private room might cost over $90 a night. For $45 a night here, you can get a single room that's almost the same size as a Cathay Pacific first class seat. The toilet is in the shower. The window looks at a wall 2 feet away and it's really hard to tell if it's day or night. But at least it's your private tiny space and the bed/comforter is surprisingly comfortable. The MTR stop is also extremely close. I wish I could have stayed another night to explore HK more. I can't rate the place 5 stars thought because Chung King Mansions has some major issues. The Lifts can take forever to get to you, and the stairs look like they haven't been clean in 20 years, even with red stains on the walls. What the stains are I really don't want to know.
This is a tiny room, so if your bringing a suitcase I'd strongly advise you don't stay here as you won't have anywhere to put it. However as my husband and I only had a small backpack it was fine, and we actually loved the novelty of such a small room... True Hong Kong experience! Very clean and comfortable room and well equipped considering the size.
Ate Marissa was indeed very helpful. Pls buy your tour tickets from her. We got our RT Macau from her and also cheaper.Next time we get a family room for bigger space.Highly recommended near bus and MTR station.
The rooms are very small but the location is very good. Considering the location and price, it was a good deal. Security is also very good.
Hotel is very convenient and is near to mtr
Very nice stuff, friendly. It was small but very clean room, comfortable one. Nice place, close to everyone like shopping malls, restaurants and some beautiful places.
Horrible
the room is very2 small, but the staff is good
I will never ever set my foot on this bedsitter! This is not a hotel. I am not sure why it got itself in the hotels.com, this is a bedsitter with a tiny cubicle which has a toilet and a tiny washing basin. It is very much like a jail cell. But jails are spacious! I had no place to place my suitcase. It is definitely not a 2 * establishment ,neither is it 1* establishment. It is simply a bedsitter
Great value for money, but only if you're a certain type of traveller. The building it's located in is old and infamous for being a one-time drug haven. Lifts are tiny and slow - definitely not worth the hassle if you've got more than one suitcase. Rooms are actually subdivided from a single flat unit, so you can imagine how small they are. All that said, great if you are a fuss free traveller. Clean, cheap and expect to get what you pay for in this price range
Stayed here for 4 nights in December, although there was no one there to meet me to check me in, but Jacky turned up very soon. I had a room on the 6th floor in block C. This block seems best as there is less using the lift. The room was small but was so clean and the house maid Marissa was amazing. The bed was so comfortable and everything in the room that I needed, numerous charging points. The shower was lovely and hot. If you require anything, just ask Marissa, she's the best The location was super, right near Tsim Sha Sui. Getting there is easy, take the A21 bus from the airport to stop 14 and walk 50 meters to Chungking mansions, stop 5 when returning to the airport. Thanks all for a great stay.
The room is clean. The service is good. Is small n the entrance of the place is very uncomfortable. The south Asians(Indians) is everywhere asking u to buy their stuffs. Is the price we paid, we get what we paid. Not staying there again for sure...
This is a gem of a guesthouse with an unbeatable location in Kowloon. Right in the middle of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, within walking distance of the star ferry terminal and other attractions. Excellent bus and subway access. Rooms are exceptionally clean, quiet and comfortable and although typically for Hong Kong small, the rooms have everything you could wish for. I was able to sleep perfectly here. Wifi is also very good. The staff are very friendly and accommodating
Friendly staff, better than we expected for the price
Headed to HK with hubby & mum. Marissa kept the rooms really clean and tidy! If you just want a place to stay, this is perfectly fine. However, note the size of the room is naturally small. Don't expect a big walkway in the room. ChungKing Mansions has a few blocks. The buildings are occupied by Indians. It is pretty safe though it might not look like it. Location was awesome! A21 from airport stops directly outside which is less than 100m away. Tsim Sha Tsui MTR is just across the road at Exit E. Very convenient. Just note the lift is odd and even. So look out for it. The hospitality of the guest house is great. Would recommend if you've a budget and just looking for a place to sleep. The location is awesome but nothing fanciful with a great price! Value for money!
Good but lots of foreigners near there.
I had a 4 nights stay in this guesthouse with my wife. Seen the review is not bad, so decided to give it a try. It is situated along Nathan Road, inside Chung King Mansions. When you walk into this plaza, it feels like walking into lucky plaza. Filled with people, sales person, clubs and money changers. The area is not suitable for a single woman to be there. When i check into our room, pretty shock when we open the door, a mini mouse room. My wife can touch both sides of the wall, when she open up her arms, we have to take turn to open up our luggage bag. Although the room is small, it's packed with air conditioned room with TV, toilet, shower w heater, make up desk, safe box. The staff is friendly and helpful too. Location is very near to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. Very central located and accessible to any part of HK from here. Price for my room is about SGD100 per night here. If you have the more budget, you can stay at holiday inn, just beside this building.
This place gives half the size of a single room and charge money for a double room. No space to keep the suite case even. I think this is the only guest house in the world where you have to take a shower while sitting on the toilet pan. So you can imagine the size of the bathroom. It always pays to pay a little more and go to the correct place.
Clean, safe, friendly & comfortable. Very very small rooms. Quite dodgy building/multi-culti mix of mainly men. No issues but abit annoying.
This is definitely a no-frills mini-hotel, but for the price (around $30-$40 USD per night), it's very good, clean, with responsive and friendly staff. Marisa and the the Southeast Asian front desk guy made my stay comfortable because they were attentive and friendly. My room was upgraded, but still small. It was cleaned daily and I didn't find anything untoward/gross in it---which I basically expected. There was a working air conditioner and a window---both of which I consider musts considering that the room is so claustrophobically small. Literally, you walk in, there's the bed, the window, and the shower and toilet are in the same "room." Everything you NEED, but nothing more. They do provide shampoo, a towel, clean bed sheets, and toilet paper though.
The room was a shoebox with no window but the ventilation system and aircon made it sufferable. The office was in another building, not suitable and the lift was always a wait and often full with residents. Read what Wikipedia says about Chungking mansions where it is located. The "ghetto" of HongKong is what it calls it but it was cheap and you get what you pay for. Wouldn't recommend it for the faint hearted!
Stayed here for 3 nights with my family (3ppl). The service was great! Both Jacky and Marissa were very welcoming and ensured that my stay was comfortable. They were very helpful and patient in giving me directions to where I wanted to go. Also, you can buy discounted entrance tickets to many attractions in HK from them. The room was clean, air conditioning was good and there was basic amenities like towels, toothbrush, kettle and bedroom slippers. For the price that was paid, this is value for money. Location of the hotel is perfect, it is just a road across to Tsim Sha Tsui Station and there is a direct bus to the airport.
The room is so small but very clean... Good enough to stay for just to sleep. The elevator is quite inconvenient. Need to que for a long time for you to be able to use it. Crowded, dirty and smelly outside surrounding But good location for everything
A great small guesthouse. We arrived late at night and the building was slightly intimidating. However, in the light of day it was great. It is in a large building where the ground floor offers lots of inexpensive Indian food stalls. The rooms themselves are very small but comfortable and spotlessly clean. We stayed two to the one bed rooms. It was very tight but manageable for the sake of budget. The staff of the guesthouse were friendly, informative and helpful. We were even able to buy tickets to local attractions from them at a discounted price. I would highly recommend this hotel. Very close to a subway station and in a great tourist area.
Comfort Guesthouse is accessible to almost everything.. famous landmarks... and of course shopping areas! Thanks to Ate Marissa for giving us tips as to where to go shopping.. at the least possible cost!
This was our first visit to Hong Kong and we stayed for 7 nights. We are very happy with our stay at Comfort Guest House. Everyone of their staff was extremely good, courteous and made every effort to make our stay comfortable. The next time we are in Hong Kong, we would definitely stay there and would strongly recommend this hotel to others.
The hotel was good. Note that the room is actually pretty small although this may be standard size for accommodation in Hong Kong.
There are a lot of options in the Chung King mansions but this is my second time in Comfort Guest House and I've had a good experience both times. They upgraded our room last time which was nice of them. Don't fool yourself and think you're getting a fancy place to stay but for an inexpensive night in HK, this is a great place.
Excellent staff, clean and comfortable room and the best location.
If you can get over the fact that this hotel is located in a really sketchy strip mall, it offers what it should for the price you are paying. As a budget hotel, you get about 8' by 5' of air conditioned space, and this includes a teeny bathroom. But at least it is private, the water pressure is good, and the water temperature was hot. If you ask, you can get 'upgraded' to a room with a window, which makes a big difference. The 9th floor option of block E seems to offer the best options and there is a lady on call to assist. She seems very nice and helpful. Make no mistake, as a single woman traveling by myself, I was extremely hesitant when I arrived at this hotel. On the main level, upon arrival, I was hounded by middle eastern men trying to sell me everything from a fake watch to a SIM card (which later came in useful). It was slightly terrifying, but once I got up to the hotel, I felt like the security was excellent and I could stay for the 2 nights I booked. So, stay here if you are short on cash, but if you are expecting luxury, this isn't for you.
We had wonderful stay at comfort guest house. Very tidy, clean, and comfortable. Abdul malik & marissa was very helpful and very welcoming. They made our stay even meaningful ! Looking forward to stay there again whenever we go to HK!
This is my second stay at the Comfort guest house. If you are looking for ONLY a very clean place to sleep with a nice bathroom this is the place. The location is excellent. Close to public transportation, nightlife and restaurants. Take the K3 free shuttle bus to the Holiday Inn from the Airport express Kowloon station. It is a short walk and easy to get to. The rooms are tiny just like most Hong Kong hotels. They are spotlessly clean with excellent amenities. It is really hard to find something this nice in this price range in HK. The staff are very helpful. The Chung King Mansion building is divided into many small hotels with many different elevators. If you have a lot of luggage it can be a pain.
Terrible and I will not recommend to stay again.
My boyfriend and I stayed here on 2 separate occasions during April. We were skeptical at first because we did not hear great things about Chung King Mansion, which is where the hotel is located in. Our minds quickly changed upon meeting Jackie the owner. He is very friendly and welcoming. He quickly checked us in and answered all of our questions. He even let us keep our luggage at the hotel after check out since our flights didn't depart until the evening. The ladies that help run the place are very sweet and kept our room spotless everyday. The location is very convenient. There is a lot of food and shopping nearby and the MTR station is across the street. I would recommend this place if you are just looking for a place to sleep at night and plan to be out for most of the day. The rooms can be cramped if you bring a lot of luggage, but if you don't mind roughing it a bit than this place is perfect. Thank you Jackie for a wonderful stay, Calvin and I hope to see you in the future!
Hi The room cleaninless was very good I should mention Merrisa's name because she does a lot to keep the guest happy ( very friendly and a good lady). The manager Jacky was too a very good person if not for these two I would have changed my hotel .
My gripe is more about the building itself, not the hostel. Chung king mansion is one big fire hazard. You are bombarded each time you enter by men trying to get you to stay in their hostel. You also have to wait forever for the elevator. the hostel itself is clean, staff is friendly, and the location is convenient. We were able to leave our luggage their after check out since our flight was later in the day. Don't expect anything fancy. The rooms are tiny and there aren't any ammenities. It's a good place if you just need a place to stay and plan on being out for most of the day.
This is a 'micro-hotel' of which you'll find many in Hongkong. The rooms are small so you should adjust your expectations accordingly. I would rate my experience at the Comfort Hotel highly compared to other hotels of this type in Kowloon. Although small, it had everything I needed: plenty of hot water, coffeemaker, refrigerator, air-conditioning, flat screen tv, wifi. Both Marissa, who provides housekeeping and customer services, and the gentleman running the front desk, were extremely helpful. They went out of their way to provide me with five star customer service. The room was very clean and fresh smelling. So, if you are looking for a microhotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, this is a good choice. The Chungking Mansion is easy to find. The hotel is in block C, which requires walking all the way through towards the rear of the building.
Excellent location and super friendly staff (Jockey and Melissa). They are able to provide good advise and help to save some time and money on tix to place of interest. The room is clean and the place if tidy n neat. Of cos don't expect big room and shower area for the amount you paid.
We could have everything that we needed there. Near by good restaurants and atractions as well. The room is small but good if you will spend most part of time outside of the guesthouse. If you need something Marisa will help you. She is kind and a great worker.
Stayed dabble bed room for 3 days, it's very narrow but very clean room and hall way. The securities are very good and feel very safe because of workers Jacky and Melissa are extremely kind and taking care of us for 24 hours. Thank you so much about coffee and cookies all the time. I hope I can see you next time.
This hotel is perfect if you fit the following profile - you are single, are an "adventure" type traveler and not too picky, don't have much luggage and just need a clean place to sleep and use the bathroom ONLY. The rooms are very nicely outfitted with refrigerators, safes, hot water pot, toiletries, Samsung flat screen TVs and the free wifi worked great. If you check out all of the hotel booking websites you will notice many inexpensively priced hotel rooms in the various mansions around town. Parts of the floors of these mansions have been bought up by entrepreneurs, the rooms fixed up (some much better than others) and small hotels opened. The elevator service is terrible and each mansion has up to 5 different VERY small elevators. There can be a long wait to get an elevator. The bottom floor is like a maze with small retail stalls. It is very difficult to find where you are going the first time especially after being very tired from a long flight. You get what you pay for! For the price and if you fit the description of the type of traveler I have described above, then I highly recommend the Comfort Inn. The location is great. Short walking distance to all public transportation including the airport express terminal and free shuttle bus, MTR, Star ferry. and China Ferry Terminal. The staff was friendly and helpful. HINT - spend the little extra money and get a larger room.
