Property is beautiful. Well maintained exterior; flowers were nice, no garbage lying around. Clean room and accessories. Good value.

Kitchenette could include utensils. Parking was extremely tight. Little noisy from second floor.

The property was better than I thought it would be. We got off to a rough start because I had asked for a late check out and was advised by your service that it had been approved only to learn that the hotel knew nothing about this and would charge $100 for one hour late checkout. We found the room very comfortable and clean and we enjoyed it. We never had the chance to explore the water side of the hotel where there is a sitting area. We would like to do so in future.

too close to a road way with lots of traffic noise even at night, the doors are facing the road, not soundproof. The bathtub drains too slow, you shower in it and water accumulates. One of the towels have some red stain on it, I'll try not to imagine.

Property was very easy to locate, a pub across the street with a pharmacy also. Pizza places close by, gas station and a Tim Hortons, because no one likes motel coffee, lol. Not too far out from all great shopping areas but far enough to be peaceful. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy

Getting out of the parking lot can be a bit tricky in high traffic times but that’s to be expected.

good value, nice people and 15 min outside of Halifax!

Perfect location for us to visit our daughter. Really liked that it was what seemed newly renovated.

Location was beautiful.

Parking was awful, no water pressure, beds hard. We came back after being gone for the evening to our room smelling very strongly of pot called the front desk and staff struggled to understand me and never offered any assistance or to come investigate

Lovely view of the river. That there was a little kitchen table and a nice sofa in the room.

Silverware and a few dishes in the kitchen would have been handy.

the place was infested with bed bugs and when i brought it up to the front desk staff and owner, THEY ACCUSSED ME OF BRINGING THEM INTO THE ROOM! decent location, unsanitary rooms, horrible owners and guest experience.

This place is a gem. Didn't expect much really but boy were we happy. Large comfortable clean room with excellent beds, shower and wifi. We'll stay longer next time.

Perfectly fine place to hold up for a couple days

Clean room, very quiet and comfortable - good location.

The 2 Double Bed Suite was very spacious and comfortable. We were very pleased to find the toaster in the cupboard, and also having a full sized fridge. We made good use of the kitchenette. The patio was very peaceful with a wonderful view of the fall colours reflecting on the lake.

The TV was too far away from the sitting area and the beds. Would be better mounted to the wall across from the loveseat on a swivel.

Bed could have been more comfortable and it was noisy. Street traffic was loud but expected. View was best I’ve woken to. TV was difficult to navigate and we called for assistance but did not receive any help. We managed with what we had. No stove or elements so can’t use kitchen other than microwave and fridge. We ordered and picked up food or ate while out.

Room was nice size but poorly laid out ( bed in the doorway when trying to get in) laundry expensive, parking lot insanely small. Lake was pretty but minimal access and seating available but what was there was nice.

This is a nice clean motel. Room has full size refrigerator and a kitchenette we cabinets and sink.

Well maintained & clean, friendly staff. Right on the lake, great view from back window of large room with small kitchenette area. Great lakeside area to relax and unwind. Basic motel but had everything I needed and great location. Well worth the money.

Awesome spot, right along a small lake, easy to get into Halifax. Reasonably priced and a Tim Horton's nearby.

Receptionist was AWESOME-- She gave us a message from home (USA)as soon as we got there she did not know it was urgent but went above and beyond to help us sort things out --Also had area recommendations--We asked her for a LOT and she was helpful and pleasant

Beautiful walkway and surrounding landscape on a lake with main windows facing the lake. Extremely accommodating staff. Large rooms with kitchen facilities that were brand new. Great location for travelling to Peggy’s Cove, Seabright, Bayer’s Lake and Halifax!

Average motel with a BEAUTIFUL view in the back!

The room was fairly large with a kitchenette and full size refrigerator. It’s a bit dated but was clean and maintained daily. We were told there was a laundry room within the motel which we didn’t get to use but this is a big plus for long trips. They had seating behind the motel with a nice garden and view of the lake. The one thing that concerned us was the bathtub. It was very slippery. They had a suction bath mat but it wouldn’t stay in place which could also contribute to sliding. My husband informed the receptionist and we really hope they take this seriously.

Awesome stay

This is a typical 50's design motel. The room has been well maintained and the bed was comfortable. I got up early and took my coffee to the seating area behind the motel and was in awe at the view, the water was calm and there was a morning mist over the water. Absolutely beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

There was a beautiful view of the lake. Generally good property. Floors were very dirty, turned socks black. Need to be mopped.

Loved the picturesque lake behind the property. Felt like staying at a cottage!

Older hotel, good condition

The property was much nicer and better kept than most of the places we stayed during our vacation. Good job Staff

The setting outside by the river is amazing!

During my seven day stay at the Stardust Motel, I was constantly amazed by my experience. I rented the suite — it was spacious and the kitchen was a welcome addition. Great to have a fridge to store the things that spoil. There was also a toaster and microwave. The motel is in walking distance of a restaurant, Tim Hortons, Subway and a small fresh product market. Also a gas station near by to top up for the long rides. The staff were courteous and professional. The motel sits on the edge of a lake and there were chairs to sit, drink morning coffee and enjoy the quiet and view. Oh yea … did I say it was quiet?

We've stayed here a couple of times. Good location for our motorcycle trips starting from Halifax down the south shore. Drive up old school style motel.

Le stationnement n'a pas assez de place pour tous les véhicules, on peut donc se retrouver à plusieurs mètres de notre chambre. Rapport qualité, prix n'est pas justifié car pas de déjeuner inclus et à près de 200$ la nuit, on s'attend à plus.

It was okay. Office staff was great. Kitchenette had no dishes or silverware. Beds were ho-hum. Very clean. Right on busy road but noise wasn't an issue.

Great location to Halifax but located in a bedroom community outside of the greater metropolitan Halifax area. Still good value for the money.

The motel seemed well constructed, well appointed for its type and very well maintained.

The room was spacious and tastefully furnished. It was very clean and the kitchenette window overlooked Governor's Lake. You can sit in a park by the water and enjoy the peace

Everything was excellent

The room was big and very clean, staff was very friendly, and the sunset on the lake behind motel was breathtaking.

This older motel was a surprise! On a lake, clean and very quiet. We enjoyed unwinding at the lakeside seating each night and enjoying the sunset. The kitchen was very convenient with a full size fridge, microwave and a small table with 2 chairs. Parking is included however the spots are very tight. We discovered a local store close by with fresh produce, fruit, baked goods and the best coffee. Fast food chains are also a short drive away. For sight seeing, the location was close to Halifax, and easy to navigate to popular spots like Peggy's Cove and Lunenberg.

Good for short stay

The view from the motel was beautiful and relaxing with a nice sitting area overlooking the water. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were a bit warm but cooled off decently during the night. We did have our windows open which unfortunately meant we could not avoid the smell of occasional cigarette smoke with the odd whiff of weed but it was never overwhelming. The rooms were older but clean and the kitchenette was handy. We would stay again.

Close to freeway. Loud with traffic noise. Clean and large rooms. Kitchen has toaster oven and microwave . Good size fridge but no plates or cutlery. Lake behind property is beautiful and peaceful

Clean, nice outdoor space with great view of the lake. 20 minutes to Downtown Halifax and Dartmouth. Access to nature trails.

Great, clean room. Easy check-in. Close to all amenities.

Only issue is that people with big cars had issues parking since you had the columns next to the parking space. Only place to really park was at the end of the motel.

Overall a fine stay. Kitchen and bathroom could use an update but good enough to stay the night.

Fair price, had the necessities, easy parking included. Also accommodated request for ground floor room, and brought extra pillows when I asked. Kitchen light did not work, overpowering smell of Lysol throughout.

Comfortable furniture, good sized room and good amenities. Service was accommodating. Loved the view out back of the lake with the option of sitting on the patio to enjoy it.

Heard alot of traffic

Overall nice hotel with a beautiful lake and nice owner.Clean, well located for Halifax and the shoreline with Peggy's Cove etc A bit dated with old fashioned room keys but we didn't care. Some oddities. For example showers are mostly handicapped accessible with floor level entrance and bars BUT there's no shelf or other place in the shower to put soap and shampoo except on the floor. Ridiculous if you're handicapped. Parking spaces are narrow with concrete poles that scratch your car if you miscalculate. Outside the room are very bright lights that the curtains don't block completely. But, overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great location in a very nice neighborhood, safe and close to coffee shops and convenience stores. A great place to stay if you’re road tripping as you have access to many roads/highway’s from there. Very welcoming staff ...!!
