A lovely place full of character. Very well furnished rooms, comfortable bed, huge bathroom with slipper bath.
The integration of the pub and the hotel is a bit confusing. Staff could be more attentive to guests when they arrive.
Lovely old public housel with great charm. Historic rooms with comfortable but dated beds. Pub is refurbishing so these comments cannot reflect the upgrades. Good british and continental breakfast choices.
Parking across a busy road not easy for a disabled person on crutches.
picturesque, nice bar and eating area, great location in a very pleasant small town, plenty of free parking
expensive (because of nearby event pushing up the price, we were told), room was very small, room was very hot
A lovely busy Inn with plenty of character , good food and great staff

Pokoje czyste, jedzenie przepyszne.
We had a lovely stay at the Crown Inn, we met up with friends for an overnight catch up,it was faultless the rooms are spacious and comfortable with attention to detail in the decor, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was superb. Would definitely go there again
Lovely charming room in a historic building very central to the event we were attending. Breakfast was great and overall service was very welcoming.
Zeer goed ontbijt, vriendelijk personeel en lekker gegeten in de avond
Outstanding customer service, the team could not be more helpful. Room was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. Fabulous breakfast too.
Nothing!
Staff molto gentile ottimo cibo e bella camera
Very comfortable stay at this historic inn. Staff very accommodating especially Ed who went above and beyond to make everything just right. Excellent breakfast and extra touches in the room enhanced the stay.
There was a little noise later in the evening but nothing too intrusive - it's a pub after all.
Location to venue of party we were attending. Poached eggs were nice. Bed and pillows comfy.
Not worth the £270 for BnB for 1 night. Room was small and cluttered and very tired. No proper air conditioning. I didn't think lamps worked till I discovered light switches! The member of staff should've made us aware. No full length mirror. Poor lighting at dressing table. Paper peeling off wall. Shower waste was blocked and water overflowed. Shower tray wooden surround water damaged. No hot water in basin in morning. Toilet handle operated upside down. Radiator was ON! It was 34° outside!! Breakfast- no staff to welcome and advice. Toaster not switched on so I switched it on but still didn't work. Was ages before we were asked about tea and coffee then took ages to come. Then had to wait again for breakfast order, abd waited ages for it to arrive. Poor slow service.
Lovely quirky old coaching inn. Friendly staff, great breakfast. Loved our room as nothing was straight which made it fun, very comfortable, private parking a bonus. Stayed here for Goodwood FOP, approx 40-60 mins away. Would book again
Every aspect of of stay superb

It has a lovely old pub.
At a traffic roundabout. Rooms are okay but if you like firm beds you will be disappointed.
Comfortable room. Good food.

All staff were lovely. Really nice room and the whole pub has so much atmosphere. Excellent food and drink well priced. Good parking too.

Superb country hotel. Loved everything about our visit and would recommend it very highly. In addition to great facilities, loved the history and the fab ambience of tje place.
There was parking for 3 vehicles only and I was luckey to get the last place.

Very hospitable staff, we arrived between the church wedding service and reception slightly earlier than check-in time and were allowed to park the car and leave our luggage in the room. It’s was very hot and a fan was available in the room to use. Breakfast was very good.
Quite a small room, but to be fair everything was available. No complaints really.
everything was excellent. from arrival to departure

Old timber framed building with lots of character, and low ceilings. Our room was very clean, but in character with the property, slightly small, and with low headroom, and rather darkly illuminated. The private bathroom was very well presented, and in contrast nice and bright, with a more than adequate shower. We only stayed one night but had a very reasonable evening meal, choosing dishes from the set menu. Breakfast was exceptional, with plenty of choice for a hot breakfast , and help yourself to cereals, fresh fruit, juices, toast, & pastries. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
As someone 6'2" I struggled with the low ceiling, and would have been better to ask for a room with as much headroom as possible. For one night it was ok, but only for that reason was pleased it was not a longer stay.
The historic character with details.
Staff very friendly .. Breakfast good choice ..
Bed very high ...
Outstanding venue. Terrific food and beautiful accommodation.
The wait for food orders could be improved, but the food was most definitely worth waiting for.
We've stayed at the Crown before, so we know what to expect (although I've always wanted to stay in the room we were allocated this time, so I was especially happy). It's a beautiful building with a slice of history, but high modern standards. The staff are excellent: courteous and helpful. The food is really good.
A minor thing – a discrepancy between breakfast times in the room's information folder and the reality downstairs. But hopefully that's been cleared up now. (Oh, and my tall husband says the protective padding on the low door lintel to the bathroom is upside down…)
The hotel is very old but looks great, it is in a very good location & the staff are very friendly. Parking is just across the road.

Food, location, staff.
Wonderful rooms with lots of history and nice touches. Food in the restaurant was lovely and the breakfast was first taste.

The room and facilities were very good and the breakfast was outstanding.
Cold rap water pressure at the bathroom sink was pretty weak.
Location very good. Breakfast excellent
Didn't like room 2. Too small
Good location, very comfortable bed, clean cosy room, excellent food, parking.
Our room was above the kitchen so there was a constant droning noise from the filter vent at certain times. If you’re the type of person who goes to bed 10-30/11pm it’ll likely be off by then but we go to bed 8/9pm. It didn’t bother my husband as much as me, as he was listening to podcasts on noise cancelling headphones! It wouldn’t put me off staying there again but I would phone next time to request a room away from that area.
Lovely quirky rooms, well appointed

This was - sadly - just a one-night stopover but this did not lessen the warm welcome and fabulous service given by Hayden, Storm and Ed. We were all - including our Labrador - very comfortable indeed: a great room with quirky layout, super bathroom and toiletries; delicious dinner and breakfast and helpful staff to boot. What’s not to like?
Quaint and old fashioned (historical)
Due to age of property the bed room floor was very uneven and the room was poorly lit
Lovely room well decorated, great breakfast
Walk in shower. Good full English breakfast.
Room was a bit small. Lots of dogs. Busy traffic.
Lovely people , who really looked after me

Quirky old Inn with great food and friendly staff
The room was lovely, with the extra coffee pods too! I was luckily to be in the quiet side of the pub, (I shall request this next time). Amaizing breakfast and the choices! Lovely food 😋. Great nights sleep. I loved the fresh milk.
There was some noise, but to be expected and was quieter than I thought which was good. Do not turn the shower on too fast as it will over flow to the floor! Maybe a verbal Tip from staff when shown to room and written warning in the welcome book. Sometimes it seemed like there was not quiet enough staff for both bar, restaurant and the hotel side. Felt like one person doing it all. However they done it well!
Everything was excellent better than expected, we had dinner the food delicious and the breakfast excellent as well and the staff so helpful all great. room food, staff all excellent.
That we only stayed one night. Would have loved to stat longer.
Great choice available.
Great staff, very friendly. Clean rooms, good location. Good breakfast. Great value.
Our room was probably the smallest of the rooms available. Whilst everything we needed was there, the w did feel rather cramped.
Our room was stunning, the bathroom alone had me, old fashioned deep bath with powerful water shower head. Huge shower in bathroom as well. The bed was the most comfortable and huge bed with the best pillows. We were allowed to take our dogs for just 10 pounds each and they were allowed down to breakfast with us which came with the price of our room. There was plenty of bathroom freebies, shampoo, soap, bubble bath, bath salts etc which was a nice touch. The radiator was on full blast which we could not turn off but staff were very happy to rush to our room and turn them off for us. There was a good quality dressing gown and slippers each in the wardrobe which just topped off the luxury and included a delicious coffee machine, biscuits, a beer, hit chocolate, coffee, tea etc and both still and fizzy water all for free. We will definitely be back as i do a lot of training at refine across the road and this is 100% perfect. Would definitely recommend.
The room hadn't seen a good cleaner in a long while, the dust was thick, both on all surfaces and under cupboards. There wasn't a lot of toilet paper, less than quarter of a roll to last us 2 girls 3 days and the cooked full english breakfast i found tasteless but there was plenty else to eat and a huge hot breakfast menu to choose. These are the only faults.
Everything, the staff were 1st class, the food was really good and room was clean and comfortable.
Perfect!

The pub/inn is a traditional old building serving a good range of pub food and a variety of beers. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean. Sufficient parking on site and nearby. Late overnight traffic so was very quiet.
I loved the old building and the decor was so lovely!
The rooms were very dusty and dirty! Black mould in the shower, carpet couldn’t have been hoovered for a while and clumps of dust were around the bedside tables and headboard. No pillow protectors and the only plug under the dressing table was a round pin plug….which didn’t fit my hair straighteners! Totally impractical.
Lovely decor, fab breakfast, comfy bed and super powerful shower
There wasn’t a mirror I could get close enough too to do my makeup. The bathroom could have done with a magnifying pull out mirror or something. This is just a personal thing though and a girl thing 😂
Absolutely beautiful little pub in a lovely little town. Beautiful quirky little rooms, spotlessly clean, lovely condiments and toiletries, amazing breakfast with great variety and really good attentive staff. Bed was super comfy. Our room was above the bar so was noisy when we first went to bed, but I phoned down to reception and the gentlemen moved a party of people that were directly underneath us to a different area of the bar. Couldn’t ask for more than that. Loved our stay and would recommend this place to anyone.
Nothing. I couldn’t find a single fault.
Helpful staff Good cooked breakfasts Beautiful beamed interior
Room felt a little cramped Mould on ceiling of bathroom Very dim lighting
Beautiful room and very comfy beds.
Could do with a night light in the bathroom. You had to turn the main light on in the middle of the night which also made the fan come on. A little noisy in the morning as close to a main road
nice room good breakfast
The beerss are expensive
Lovely old pub in excellent condition. Nice room with great shower& toilet en-suite. Great food in the evening & breakfast. The staff were very friendly , I would stay at the Crown again.
