Montis Resort

The resort is at a quiet location, yet a straight walk to the night walking street. It's huge space requires someone to drive you to and from your rented room. The room is big too, airy and very nice view of greenery. Great to walk around the resort to enjoy their gym, breakfast (7 - 10 am only) and we requested ground floor. Tips: should spend a few days here, very relaxing and it's cool 24 degrees even during summer.

Big resort, pool near reception area. Sort of African themed! Rooms were huge, well styled and very clean. It was low season and very quiet so breakfast was cooked to order on request. Short walk into Pai town. Lovely staff. Outside smoking allowed.

Property is worn and need an update. Rooms are good , clean.

Great service! Very nice people, clean facilities. 2 points of attention: not everybody at the reception speaks English and no furniture on the room terrace.

We made the mistake of booking a suite here via Agoda. When we arrived, which was a busy Loy Kratong weekend holiday, the Montis was deserted! We were to be the only guests and the only staff we saw was a receptionist and the porter all through checkin and all the way to our room which was quite far into the grounds. The terrace of our suite was dark with no lights and next to a swamp like pond! The room itself did not appear fresh. We decided it was not okay and also not safe. We were able to arrange a cancellation through Agoda and book another hotel.

가족여행으로 적극 추천할 만한 장소이다. 하지만 청소상태나 침구류의 쾌적함이 조금 부족했다. 청소상태가 완전 엉망이었다고 할 수는 없지만 반드시 개선되어야 할 부분이라고 생각한다. 수건이나 침구류의 쾌적함 역시 우기가 아님을 감안할 때 좀 더 개선되어야 할 것 같다. 그러나 크지 않은 리조트였지만 리조트 풍경이나 직원들의 친절함은 전혀 부족함이 없었다. 다음에도 다시 이용할 예정있다.

직원 분들이 매우 친절했고 조용한 리조트에 넓은 경치가 장관이더군요. 뷰가 정말 좋아요. 벌레가 좀 있지만 숙소 안에는 괜찮아서 크게 불편은 없었어요. 무료 셔틀도 있어서 교통에도 불편함이 전혀 없었습니다. 추천!

Excellent service from everyone. Great location. Clean room. A lot of bugs around. The hotel needs some maintenance.

This place could be magnificent .............but it simply is not. The grounds, the location, the staff, the potential facilities are all amazing. The safari lodges are extremely well appointed. The pool area is lovely but the pool is not cleaned and bits are falling apart. There is a gym where the equipment is failing, and a building which we think is a spa, bar and entertainment centre however......The spa is not open , the pool table and fuseball table have fallen in to disrepair and the bar is no longer open. There are buildings dotted around the grounds which seem to be unused. This place seems to be failing which is a shame for the wonderful staff. Ignoring all that our room was very nice and cleaned every day, the grounds are lovely, breakfast was pleasant also. This place needs an overhaul, it needs investment and it needs marketing properly. Would I recommend a stay here ? all things taken in to account probably not which is a real shame as it has such huge potential.

Great hotel space, calm and peaceful. Huge rooms and property with nice landscape. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and efficient at all times. The shuttle to the city center is great and very practical. You can take DVDs to whatch at the room which is very nice also. Amazing pool facilities, we love it, so peaceful. The only thing it’s a shame that the food quality is very very low and basic, with a hotel of this category I would expect a decent food and restaurant quality but the food is beneath that, below avarage.. disappointed with that part unfortunately.

My partner and I stayed here for 1 night, We read the reviews which is why we stayed. The staff are very friendly and breakfast is good, other wise the resort itself is strange, it has a African theme with fake animals everywhere, the room smelt damp and not that clean, beds are very hard. We stayed somewhere else the next night for only $35 AUD which was better, we think this resort is to expensive for what it is. We are confused about the rating of this place being so highly recommended, the resort is to big and not maintained. We wish we could of loved this place, just wasn’t for us.

Great staff, we forgot a purse and they called us and bring our purse to chiang mai airport with no charge! Very nice pool and free dvd library. Almost 24 hours shuttle to an from pai. Very recommended! Sure we will chose mintis next time:)

This resort a kilometer outside Pai is located in a beautiful surrounding. A unlimited bring and pick up service daytime and evening we have never experienced before. Whole staff has a passionate desire to please you! To bring you to your room visaversa pick you up. To bring you towels when you want to swim in one of the best swimmingpools we have seen! Spacious rooms and gardens full with flowers. We called Montis resort our Paiadis ( Paradise in Pai). Outstanding service you will not forget.... and just like us forfilled of desire to come back soon

Beautiful resort just out of Pai nestled in amongst the trees. The rooms are small hut styled and very nice inside. Very peaceful and tranquil place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful here.

Lovely resort. The facilities and accommodations are excellent. A bit of a trek from town, but well worth it if you don't mind no being in the venter of the action.

The Montis Resort was a great place to stay! We stayed one night in a beautiful circular room that was very clean and comfortable! The service was excellent! They picked us up from the bus location and had a shuttle to town (20 minute walk away) available any time you needed it! Breakfast was good and the service overall was great! Downside is the hotel is not in town! But is is a unique spot and we are glad we stayed there!

Montis is quite high price compare to other resort but the atmosphere, landscape, room is amazing. I really love this place and will definitely come back if I have time. Unfortunately I think this resort is not make much money. There are few guests compare to resort number of rooms. Wish they didn't close.

We are in vacation in Montis Resort in Pai. The hotel is beautiful with a very big potential but the room is not clean at all, the bathroom is catastrophic. It's very pity because the hotel is big and very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They need to clean more.

The hotel is full of very fake Africa safari animal sculptures. May be good for kids, but do not look natural and I was not impressed at all. Room is very clean and comfortable. But far from reception. Always need to call for pick up. Not convenient at all. Breakfast is very poor consider the price of this hotel is 5 star level. Pool is not heated even when it was mid Dec - winter. Will not recommend.

great service! very comfortable! bit far from the center.. 20-25 min walk.. there are shuttles till 22:00, later it's only walking back or riding a bike.. no taxies. in general if you rather relax away from the center, it's great place, but we took an extra day in the city center in less than half the price and it was awesome! more comfortable location :)

스텝들도 너무 친절했고, 셔틀도 나갈때마다 데려다주고, 데릴러 오는것도 좋았어요~ 안에서도 카트로 방까지 데릴러주고.. 일단 다른 호텔과 다르게 사람들끼리 안마주치니깐 우리만 호텔을 빌린거 같이 좋더라구요~ 굉장히 조용했고, 방도 넓고, DVD를 빌리진 못했지만 다 좋았어요~ 화장실도 정말 넓었어요 다만 와이파이가 좀 잘 끊기고, 화장실에 냄새가 심하더라구요 ㅠ 우리는 욕실없는 방이긴 했지만요

I chose the Montis Resort (MR) after examination of many Internet postings, including TA. I stayed there for 2 nights with two friends, each of us having our own room. I have always judged accommodate by the 3 -C's - Courtesy, Cleanliness, Comfort. My initial experience of MR at the reception indicated that the staff were both courteous and professional. Our arrival and room allocation was managed with the minimum of fuss or delay. The reception staff displayed a friendliness and accommodation that was a precursor for the rest of our stay…excellent. We were driven to our respective rooms by a staff member who carried our bags into the room and fully explained the mechanical/TV/video options available to us. He further advised that all we had to do was ring '0' and the reception area would send a buggy to collect us, should we wish to move. MR is approximately 1-2 kms from the Pai city centre and so the Resort provides for free a delivery and pick up from MR to Pai and return. I think up to 2200. Now to my experience. I found the staff to be excellent, professional, friendly and helpful. My room was absolutely brilliant, and at 1800THB per night including breakfast and free delivery/return from Pai, great value for money. My room was quite (very) large with a King Size bed, writing table, TV, lounge chair and single chairs, aircon and room safe. As with my extra large bathroom/toilet it was neat, clean and tidy. MR is a large complex with many individual rooms, villas etc, an excellent gymnasium, swimming pool and a number of nice internal walks. Breakfast can, and did, consist of a set-menu or a buffet. Either way the food was excellent, hot (when it should be) and fresh. The breakfast staff could not be more friendly or helpful. Overall, for 1800 it is excellent value for money… would I return there, YES!

We were told that we were upgraded but on hindsight, they didn't upgrade us. The room was the one we booked. Free wifi was also quite slow. A bit puzzled why the "king" bed became two Super single beds joined together too. Otherwise, service was great!

街中からは離れているが、車で送ってくれるので問題ナシ。 部屋でのWIFI利用は途切れ途切れですが、こんな所まで来て ネットをするのは無粋なので全く問題ナシ。 シャワーの水の流れが悪いのが気になりますが… 次回もココに泊まります。

the location was good you can walk to the town around 20 mins but you don"t have to do so because they had provide shuttle bus their service was great they have golf car to transfer us in the resort they also provide DVD to us we watch MR BEAN happily their breakfast was tasty and many kind of choice i think that the price was acceptable in pai

Very good for rest .

We loved our stay at the Montis. For starters, the service is truly amazing. Anything you need they take care of. Shuttles back and forth to town or if you need to go somewhere else. The room itself was nice and huge, however, there were some lizards and bugs in our room. I guess that's expected in the jungle, or is it? The dvd selection instead of watching tv was also great for winding down or relaxing in the room a little. Lastly, the breakfast buffet was really good, lots of options and was overall enjoyable. Great stay.

We stayed here for three nights while in Pai. The rooms are villa-style with pretty grounds. The room itself is spacious. The main ground has a nice pool and a restaurant. They also have movies you can rent. The hotel is a bit far from town, but there is a shuttle that will take you to town and pick you back up. It does not run all night though and we got stuck walking a very shady, scary, 2km back after a long night. For convenience purposes, I'd recommend renting a motor bike for your stay there (this will make navigating Pai and the surrounding area easier in general). The staff is extremely accommodating and helpful. One gripe would be the bathrooms. There is no standing shower- just a bathtub and a hand-held sprayer. This makes showering awkward and getting in and out dangerous. Also I felt the bathrooms could be cleaner. There was some mold in the tub and the glass shower doors needed a good dose of Windex. Our outdoor day bed was also pretty dirty- not that we planned to use it anyway. Despite this, the room and other parts of bathroom (sink, toilet, floor) were clean enough.

We booked in to Montis for 6 nights originally, but enjoyed it and Pai so much we extended our stay to 10 nights. Our skyline view room had a lovely view out to the mountains and was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom is excellent. The pool at Montis is perfect. I would like to comment on how hospitable and friendly staff are who were always able to drive us into town, although it's not far to walk, and pick us up at any time day or night. Or organise bikes for us. Especially want to mention Joy at reception who combined efficiency with a beautiful smile and made us feel very welcome. Breakfasts are excellent and we were happy with our meal the 2 times we dined at the restaurant in the evening. Although we came as a couple, this resort with its extensive grounds would have been wonderful for a family.

Good service qnd clean room

The rooms and overall design of the hotel are quite interesting and every room is large with its own outdoor fireplace. Bathroom is Also large with a soaking pool. The few complaints I have about the hotel are available amenities. When I went the wine list was extremely limited, and food service stops very early. Of course pai is a small town and the city center isn't so far away from the montis but you will need to either rent a motorbike to get around town or hire a private van. Good hotel, needs a few small things to take it to the next category level.

During this period it was great that we stayed at Montis Resort for our first stay and it was rainy season (everything so green). The resort is like you traveling into the safari and amazed by the staffs were very informative and friendly. The resort was located near the walking street if you have your own car but the resort also has the shuttle service daily to the walking street. In room was very large, having much space for you. It was a pity that I didn't use the pool because of the rain. If you find somewhere to stay for relax and comfortable. I will definitely coming back here during winter time with family. Breakfast served as a la carte (good taste). Just one recommend to maintenance some details in the room e.g. toilet, bathroom, wooden walkway to the room. Overall was good and I recommend this place.

飯店的庭園又大又漂亮，尤其是那個高手級栽種的美麗玫瑰花園，還有許多奇花異草，讓我們十分喜愛；別墅式的房間寬敞舒適，只是有些用品的維護，還需再費心，例如我們房間的熱水壺和吹風機都有點問題；服務人員十分有禮貌，飯店往返市區的Shuttle car 隨叫隨到，5分鐘即可到達，非常方便；飯店的地理位置很好，但是我們住宿的那幾天，一兩公里外的市集擂臺歌唱聲，竟可大聲傳到飯店房間，有如近在咫尺，並且吵到午夜方休，噪音嚴重干擾到我們飯店原有的寧靜，實在可惜…不知飯店是否有解決之道？不過總體來說，這家是間非常優質的飯店！

非常非常非常棒的旅馆。虽然位置有点偏，可是完全可以到了aya service打电话让酒店人员来接送，最晚不超过夜间10点。酒店区景色宜人，空气新鲜，建筑别具一格，还有种植的有机草莓，玫瑰园，早餐也特别好吃，值得多住几天。房间也很大，淋浴宽敞舒适。美中不足，就是wifi非常不稳定。

酒店内部像别墅区，环境很好，酒店服务员服务热情，有免费接送到镇上的车，很方便，一般打电话后10-15分钟便可以到。酒店到镇上大概不到10分钟。酒店床略软，有个大沙发，非常重，但孩子130内，可以睡上面。晚上有些冷，可以要求加被子。蚊虫多，热水有限（要提前插卡取热，可能是电烧水的）。

The Montis has seen better days...it was very empty, and the cavernous rooms and large but somewhat untended gardens give it a neglected air. Dinner, in the restaurant, was extraordinary; two cheerful but frozen waiters attended us three (the restaurant's only diners) by dim candlelight, and served our meals, selected from a short and frankly unappetizing menu, as if nobody else had eaten there in years. All very surreal. Overall, it looks as if the Montis might be struggling to survive.

Was good. Nothing really special to say. Good ac, WiFi was weak, food was ok, felt a bit like a ghost town and somewhat of place, but the staff made us feel at home always. I think Pai is more hipster and this place attempted to be more high end.

2박 했습니다. 서비스 좋았고 친절했습니다. 조식도 괜찮았고, 리조트내부에서 산책하기 좋았습니다. 휴식을 원하신다면 몬티스리조트 추천합니다. 위치는 여행자거리에서 멀지만, 리조트 무료셔틀을 이용할수 있어서 큰 불편함은 느끼지 못했습니다.

The hotel was perfect for all our needs and the staff was fantastic! The hotel was very clean. The wooden walkways needed to be updated...as some planks were loose. This was such a minor issue to our stay here at Montis. The grounds are large and sprawling with beautiful rose gardens and fresh produce they grow and use in the restaurant. The hotel is close to town and they provide a free shuttle...but no so close so the space is quiet and serene. Lastly the girls at the front desk were wonderful in helping us with our next travel plans. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers and friends.

Hotel is outside of Pie, but they have a free shuttle to the city. The room are nice and big. It's very clean, only the pool was not so clean. The strange thing was that the hotel was nearly empty and it was a bit strange for us.

缺点：酒店除了卫生间略挤，竟然没有淋浴的地方，不管你是泡澡还是淋浴，都得在浴缸里。非常不方便，这是硬伤，没法改进了。 优点：越住越爱，我订的是别墅房型，水边，环境太好。预定时候说了蜜月，酒店竟然在入住时候送了我1把花，开心死了~！~！服务员都很NICE，我们小摩托才进停车场，电瓶车马上就过来问需不需要送到房间。酒店车子到镇上，随叫随到（晚上10点以前）。已经推荐无数朋友入住这家。当然，如果房费能再便宜点就好了。

The service was amazing!!! Couldnt have been any better. The lady at the front desk was amazing and so friendly. Her english is fairly good and just made our visit in Pai so much more pleasent. There are a few things that need fixed like broken tiles on the pool but this is easy to ignore with amazing service and views

酒店蛮不错的，比较符合度假需求，就是晚上千万别自己走出去，感觉蛮吓人的，白天走走还不错。另外酒店的房间非常不错，有特色，舒适，大。

這家酒店員工有禮貌，細心熱心，令我很感動，用餐時， 有一班帶著小朋友的三個太太來到，實在很嘈吵，員工細心地主動幫我們換坐位還向我們致歉；我遺留了ipad在房間，酒店竟然一天內送到清邁機場給我，一分小費都不肯收，真心出於幫助，令我們非常感動。 在這個渡假村，會感到濃濃的人情味，當然，渡假村的南非式設計也給我們驚喜！非常好的酒店！

Nice hotel out of the hustle bustle of oai town. Modern appointments tastefully decorated pretty good buffet with lots of choices traditional western and Thai options. Service was good staff was friendly.
