Historic building but modern renovated rooms and very affordable

Really nice. Great terrace outside. Food was really good and we ate the communal pilgrim’s menu for dinner. We recommend.

This is such an amazing place. I felt like i was staying in a castle. The room was really clean and comfortable. The facilities were great. Having access to a bar and a restaurant for menu del dia covering lunch and dinner and also a fabulous breakfast was such a treat. There was even a yoga class. Highly recommend this as a stop on the camino before taking on the 12km to San Juan de Ortega.

Nothing really. Some fittings and fixtures are a little tired but for me this added to the charm.

On the Camino route. Great room with a bath. Good pilgrims meal in the evening. Great cafeteria with a bar and supplies for the next day if you don’t want to go to the supermarket across the street.

c’était incroyable, une vraie chambre de palace, le personnel est extraordinaire. J’ai passé une nuit de rêve. Le restaurant est très très bon, le Service est très très bien accueil, chaleureux, agréable et très professionnel.

Une halte très agréable sur le chemin de St Jacques. Nous avons profité de la terrasse, le dîner au restaurant était composé de bons produits et nous avons eu droit à un petit déjeuner excellent

La estructura del edificio.

Laberíntica ubicación de mi habitación. Se echo muchísimo de menos que me acompañasen a la habitación tras el check-in, las señalizaciones de ubicación de las habitaciones son extremadamente confusas y contradictorias. Colchón incomodísimo, no entiendo como es posible que se atrevan a dar alojamiento con colchones como el que me tocó. Atención cortés, pero desganada, con poco interés en satisfacer al cliente. Con la idea de que se ofertan habitaciones "medievales/monacales", se ha descuidado muchísimo el mantenimiento del mobiliario. Sillas incómodas, cama incómoda. No me convenció para nada la habitación, no ya tanto el estilo (que dejaba mucho que desear) sino además el confort de la misma. No volveré.

This hotel is in restored former pilgrim hospital with many artifacts and antiques as decoration. It is beautiful and elegant inside with a very professional and attentive staff. Our room was very large with a large bathroom. There is a restaurant as well as a on site bar for meals and snacks and drinks and a lovely outdoor terrace. There is also an albergue in a separate part of the building. We had lunch in the bar and a lovely dinner in the restaurant. The included breakfast is a bountiful buffet with eggs made to order.

Only improvement would be to replace light bulbs in the room and hallway that are out.

un peu déçue par la chambre car sur le site booking les chambres avaient une décoration plus jolie la salle d'eau gagnerait à être modernisée surtout au niveau de la douche

A treat whilst walking the Camino. Great food at dinner(vegetarian options) and breakfast which was included in the price was the best we have had so far, lots of choice and set us up for our next days walk. Position was right on the Camino path. The garden outside the bar was a lovely place to sit with a drink after our walk. The building and decoration is very flamboyant and interesting. There was a free yoga class at 5.30pm

el olor de toda la estacia, a pesar de ser un hotel con decoracion de antiguedades preciosas y muebles buenos de epoca el olor del hotel es riquisimo a limpieza extrema, destacar la limpieza tambien todo muy limpio

la salida a las 11,30, la moda que esta poniendo de entrar a las 12 y salir antes de las 12 aunque en este caso no es tan abusivo como en otros de la zona que puedes entrar a partir de las 14 y te tienes que dejar la habitacion a las 10h.

Toallas sucias. En el desayuno, revuelto de huevos con un buen trozo de cáscara. ¡Imperdonable!

Wir hatten seit langem keine so aussergewöhnliche Unterkunft! Die Ortschaft, das Hotel und der historische Charme, das zuvorkommende Personal – einfach nur empfehlenswert! Falls wir erneut in der Gegend sind, kommen wir sehr gerne wieder!

Todo en general. La decoración de estilo medieval preciosa. Muy silencioso. Fresco por la noche sin poner aire acondicionado.

La cama y la almohada muy incómodas. Suele pasar en una gran mayoría de alojamientos, cosa que no entiendo, porque todos vamos a descansar y de nada sirve tener unas bonitas, modernas, etc… instalaciones si al final no vas a descansar en condiciones, que es el principal objetivo. Quizás habría que invertir más en un buen colchón y buenas almohadas y su mantenimiento y no en tanta decoración.

Un citio encantador nos encantó volvería a repetir

Beautiful place to stay after walking the Camino in very hot weather. The hotel has a restaurant and we ate lunch and dinner there. The food was very good. We did not realize that they lock the hotel after a certain time and my husband had gone to watch a World Cup game and got locked out but thankfully I was able to find a door to open and let him back in.

De uitstraling van het oude gebouw met alle snijsterijen.

Het dorpsfeest was in volle gang tot 4.00 met keeeiiharde muziek onder ons raam. Heel gezellig, maar niet om bij te slapen.

Le lieu est exceptionnel cet hôtel est vraiment magnifique , immense , les meubles , les objets , les tableaux sont très beaux .

Le seul point négatif , les horaires de la restauration il est indiqué 19h jusqu a 21h , nous pensions que ces horaires correspondaient au service , en fait le restaurant ferme à 21h . C est dommage car nous avons du dîner vite , le repas était excellent a un prix très compétitif .

Mattress wasn’t comfortable and we got the last room available which wasn’t very pretty, not like the ones in the photos

Fabulous staff, so friendly , helpful and attentive. The furnishings helped create the luxurious atmosphere where a weary traveller can relax and recharge. A lift for weary feet . Restaurant, bar and cafeteria with wonderful staff and generous opening hours. Breakfast included. Good sized rooms with comfortable beds.

Das Hotel hat wirklich Flair, toll eingerichtet. Wie eine alte Ritterburg. Cool fand ich, das es direkt am Campino lag und viele Pilger dort übernachten. Hatte tolle Gespräche.

Die Zimmer und Duschen sind ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Sollte vielleicht mal überarbeitet werde.

Pilger Hotel .. einfach und sauber

Um 21:00 Uhr wurde nicht die Bar geschlossen, sondern das ganze Hotel verriegelt!! Wie in einem Gefängnis !!! Morgens um 7:00 Uhr wurden die Tore wieder geöffnet. Das grenzt an Freiheitsberaubung !!!

Generally excellent but we were disappointed that the cafe bar terrace did not open at the stated time . The village has very few other options so that was very inconvenient as we had to walk back along the busy road to the two cafes at the edge of town and we were tired after walking the Camino.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Camino. Wunderschön mit vielen Plätzen zum verweilen. Danke an Richmond, und den Rest des Personals. Das Abendessen war sehr gut und reichlich. Genauso wie die Auswahl am Frühstücks Buffett. Ich kann es als Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

Wenig Ablage Möglichkeiten in meinem Bad. Aber das ist anstrengend normal in Spanien. Schade fand ich auch das es im hinteren Garten keine Bank unter dem Baum gab.

Hotel antiguo con un estilo señorial. La habitación era muy grande, bien equipada, al igual que el baño. El personal es muy amable. Como tenía el desayuno incluido y quería salir temprano, me lo dejaron preparado en recepción para llevar. Puedes comer y cenar allí mismo a buen precio, menú de primero, segundo, postre, vino, agua y café, raciones abundantes. Hay yoga gratuito todos los días. La ubicación es perfecta si estás haciendo el camino de Santiago.

Facility and staff were amazing. Loved the terrace bar for drinks after the long walk. The dinner and breakfasts were wonderful. Highly recommend!

It is a very beautiful building decorated with old interesting pieces. The room was large with a full bath . There is a restaurant for full Camino meals and a cafe/ bar for lighter fare. The food was good. Our host helped us arrange a taxi to go to Atapuerca and visit the archeology site there. Lots of comfortable chairs scattered around and interesting books about the local history. Rooms were clean.

Breakfast is served from 7 am to 9:30, but most guests are walking the Camino and get off early, so the breakfast crew begins to clean up at 8:45 and some of the food is cleared away. So if eating breakfast, get there early. At 9:30, you will be reminded that breakfast is over and no lingering over that last cup of coffee. Beds were not very comfortable.

Lovely place that combines hotel and albergues, right beside the Camino route. Rooms are great and nicely appointed, though no a/c in the room we had. Good restaurant and bar, good quality food and drink. Good breakfast.

Nothing to criticise with this place.
