Mondi Lodge

De accommodatie (flamingo) was mooi opgedeeld in twee ruime slaapkamer met airco, waaier en muskietennet. De bedden lagen lekker, de kamer was mooi ingericht en schoon. De aansluitende badkamer (ieder slaapkamer had zijn eigen badkamer) was ruim met open kasten, een toilet en wastafel. De buitendouche was netjes, met beplanting en ommuurd. Het middendeel was netjes en compleet ingericht met zitbank, salontafel, keukendoeken met koel/vrieskast en een eettafel. Het parkje zelf zag er geweldig uit. Veel kleur, veel planten en netjes. Het zwembad was verfrissend en heerlijk om in en aan te liggen. Ook de centrale voorzieningen zoals koelkast, uitgebreidere keuken, eet tafels e.d waren gezellig en slim ingericht. Er lopen ook ezels achter een omheining en een gezellig hond en rode kater, hier hebben mijn kinderen van genoten. En dan de eigenaresse, wat een vriendelijkheid, niets was haar teveel. Alleen daarom maar ook om al het andere zullen wij zeker weer terug gaan een volgende keer op Curacao.

What a unique and wonderful place! Staying in a real tree house was definitely one of the coolest and most unusual experiences we have ever had. The house was so cozy, fun and full of character — it really felt a little like Tarzan’s home in the jungle! At the same time, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the biggest highlights for us was the shower. It was such an amazing experience — it genuinely felt like showering in the middle of a tropical jungle! The whole property is surrounded by lush greenery, and there is also a beautiful large swimming pool where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. From the very beginning, Danita, Ben, the staff and even the pets made us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was so warm, kind and caring. Danita and Ben were wonderful hosts and did everything they could to make our stay at Mondi Lodge comfortable and special. We loved our time here and will remember this place for a long time. Such a charming, unusual and unforgettable stay!

Wir hatten hier eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft in einem exotischen Garten mit vielen Vögeln und Leguanen im Baumhaus. Danita ist eine großartige Gastgeberin und sucht den Kontakt mit den Menschen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.

Un posto curato nei particolari, pulitissimo in posizione centrale per visitare tutta l'isola e vicino ad un supermercato fornitissimo. La proprietaria e lo staff gentili, disponibili e sempre sorridenti. La cucina ben fornita.Un'esperienza unica!

Een groene oase, perfect centraal gelegen op het eiland, ruim opgezet maar kleinschalig. Een gastvrij en persoonlijk ontvangst, vriendelijk personeel. Een goede balans tussen gemoedelijk / persoonlijk en privacy. Mooi en schoon zwembad.

De kwaliteit van de bedden kan beter, ouderwetse springveren. Veel muggen. Het niet (meer) aanbieden van een ontbijt is jammer.

This is one of the top 3 best places we've ever stayed at, and we stayed in LOTS all over the world. If you're thinking about booking a few days here and they have availability, just do it. Staying here feels like staying in a nature reserve. Unlike the rest of the island, everything here is green with loads and loads of vegetation. Even the lodge we had was built around a tree and the shower was outside - truly a spectacular experience. There are lots of animals here - cats, dogs, donkeys, lizards, iguanas, you name it. If you love nature and animals, you will love it here. The lodge itself was superb and was fitted with everything you could need. If you want to cook, you can use their kitchen by the pool which is stocked better than my kitchen back home! We were welcome to using eggs from their hens and anything we found around the kitchen (as long as it didn't belong to other guests - clearly marked). There is a pool as well and this is when I found out that magnesium pools exist. Every day is a school day, and it was great to not have to deal with chlorine. There are sun loungers by the pool and you have massive trees for shade. You can also get drinks from a nearby fridge for fair prices using an honesty policy. Danita and all the rest of the staff were super friendly and helpful, making the whole experience perfect. Staying here was an extraordinary experience and if we're ever back in Curacao, we're absolutely staying here for the whole period. Thank you Danita and congratulations on creating something truly spectacular!

We were very happy with our stay here! The treehouse was fantastic; it was beautifully decorated, secluded and had everything we needed. We also had a lot of fun in the pool and with Charlie, the cat. The staff were also very friendly, and were so kind to put flowers in our room for our honeymoon :)

Mondi Lodge ist eine kleine versteckte Oase auf Curaçao. Wir waren 8 Nächte dort und haben den Aufenthalt geliebt. Wenn man Natur, Ruhe, Gemütlichkeit und Herzlichkeit schätzt, ist man in Mondi Lodge genau richtig. Nach Erkundungstouren auf der Insel haben wir uns immer gefreut am Abend in die Unterkunft zurück zu kommen und die Ruhe zu geniessen. Vor allem der Pool und die Outdoorküche sind genial. Und die Gastgeberin Danita ist unschlagbar. Sie erfüllt einem jeden Wunsch und ist immer zur Stelle. Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wij hebben het prima naar ons zin gehad bij Mondi Lodge voor onze vakantie op Curaçao. Hele fijne omgeving om tot rust te komen en een goede uitvalsbasis voor de rest van het eiland. Ontzettend behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel en veel faciliteiten en voorzieningen, ook voor het erop uitgaan. Wij zouden de volgende keer op Curaçao graag nog een keer hier verblijven!

Eigenlijk vrij weinig, omgevingsgeluid van verkeer kan het verblijf niet heel veel aan doen. Wel moet je af en toe rekening houden met wat letterlijke vroege voegels.

Świetne miejsce, chętnie wybrałabym się ponownie. Komfort prywatności, egzotyki miejsca i ciszy współgrającej z naturą. Bardzo spokojny i regenerujący pobyt. Domki i cały obszar bardzo dobrze wyposażony, można korzystać z lodówek plażowych i termosów, dostępna kawa, można też kupić napoje. Bardzo bardzo mili właściciele, można się poczuć zaopiekowanym. Obiekt posiada też swoją aplikację, gdzie można znaleźć mnóstwo ciekawostek i wskazówek na zwiedzanie. Blisko jest też siedlisko flamingów. Szczerze polecam.

Vaak in luxe hotels verbleven maar dit heeft elk lux hotel overtroffen. Fijne plek, rustig, gemoedelijk, met respect voor de natuur en toch van alle gemakken voorzien. Heerlijk!

The location

The place literally has everything you need and more, from kitchen appliances to snorkelling gear. Our palapa was clean, quiet and yes hot, but for this you have A/C and a fan. The communication was perfect. Danita and her colleagues are super friendly and accommodating hosts.

Def mosquitoes. There was a net on top of the bad which I highly recommend to use but even with it I ended up bitten multiple times.

Mondi Lodge is een fijne, kleinschalige plek die centraal op Curaçao ligt. Een soort groene oase waar je echt even tot rust komt. Overal zie je dieren: grote leguanen die rustig rondlopen en kleine kolibries die voorbij schieten. Het zwembad is ook top, zeker na een warme dag. De palapa’s (huisjes met palmdak) zijn gewoon goed: netjes, met airco en prima sanitair. Alles wat je nodig hebt is er. In de buurt liggen zoutpannen waar je regelmatig flamingo’s kunt spotten, wat het extra bijzonder maakt. Wat vooral opvalt is het team. Ze zijn vriendelijk, makkelijk benaderbaar en denken met je mee. Je krijgt ook goede tips om het eiland te ontdekken. Al met al een aanrader voor wie Curaçao actief wil verkennen en liever niet in de drukte van grote resorts en volle stranden zit.

Eigenlijk niets.

Ecolodge met heel veel groen, vlinders en vogels. Kookfaciliteiten deel je, heel sympathiek. Je kunt drankjes pakken, duikspullen lenen, boekjes pennen, koffie, thee, fris en bier/wijn (wel turven en na afloop betalen!), etc. Heel bijzonder prettig en vriendelijk personeel.

De kleinschaligheid van het resort en het feit dat de locatie volledig in de natuur is opgenomen. En natuurlijk de fantastische crew voor wie niets te veel was en zeer lief en belangstellend overkwam. Top.

I felt completely at home at Mondi Lodge! Danita and her team are amazing hosts – incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. This was my first solo trip, and from the very first day I felt safe, seen, and truly at home. Danita is not only a wonderful host but also a very warm and supportive person. Her kindness and openness made this stay something truly special. Ben, Danita’s parents, and the entire team also contributed so much to making this visit unforgettable – you can truly feel the heart and love they put into this place. I could come to Danita with any concern at any time, and she always helped with great insider tips. The app is very well organized, authentic, and thoughtfully designed. The beautiful garden with its many plants, Charlie the cat, Mijko, and the two donkeys made the place feel magical 🐾🌿 The pool was always very clean and had a pleasant temperature. I also loved the open kitchen, the drinks fridge, and the coffee machine that were available at any time. The accommodation itself is a dream: rustic, cozy, and equipped with everything you could need. I was lucky to meet wonderful people there and can wholeheartedly recommend Mondi Lodge. If I ever return to this beautiful island, this will definitely be my first choice. I will miss this place, the animals, and especially the amazing people very much. My solo trip was wonderful, and it was exactly here that I found the courage for many more adventures to come ✨

Mooi groen en beschut, ruim, eigen terras en keukentje, goede douche. Prima koffie- en theefaciliteiten, gedeelde keuken, mooi zwembad. Vriendelijke mensen. Perfecte plek!

De matrassen.

The garden is fabulous. So many birds and other flora/ fauna. Lodge has a lot of privacy. Swimming pool is perfect. And the personal is very friendly.

In the morning and afternoon very small mosquitos. But is you use anti mosquito spray it’s much better.

Everything was absolutely fantastic. Eating under the palm trees, cooking dinner under the open sky, and showering under the stars—it was pure magic. The pool and garden are beautiful and perfectly maintained. And the hosts… we truly felt like part of the family. Danita was incredibly caring and friendly, and her team was the best we could wish for. Special hello to Tito! Please send him our biggest hugs—he truly has a heart of gold.

Les lodges sont top, très bien décorés et équipés. L’environnement incroyable, la nature est magnifique. La piscine est parfaite!

Fijne huisjes in een mooie tropische tuin. Het mineralen zwembad maakt het af. Hele prettige ontvangst en aardige eigenaresse.

Soms wat last van verkeersgeluid. Iets meer voorzieningen in de pantry bij het huisje zou de ervaring nog beter maken.

Heartwarming stay at Mondi Lodge – a little oasis I didn’t want to leave I had a truly wonderful stay at Mondi Lodge – from the first moment it already felt like a little home away from home. The lodge has a warm, relaxed atmosphere and you can feel the love and care that went into creating the place. Check-in was easy and personal, and communication with the host was always quick, clear and genuinely friendly. Nothing felt “standard” or rushed – they really take the time for you and are happy to help with tips for beaches, restaurants and things to do on the island. The bungalow was cozy, spotless and very comfortable. The bed slept great, the air conditioning worked well and the Wi-Fi was reliable. I also really liked the small kitchen setup, which made it easy to prepare something simple when I didn’t feel like going out. The bathroom was clean, with a good shower and enough towels. The location is perfect: nicely tucked away in nature so it feels peaceful and private, but still only a short drive to Willemstad, supermarkets and some of the most beautiful beaches. Having a rental car is definitely useful, and there was always safe parking available on the property. What I loved most about Mondi Lodge were all the small details: • The lush garden and the feeling of being surrounded by nature • The quiet, relaxed vibe – ideal to unwind after a day of exploring • The kindness and warmth of the people running the place Overall, my stay at Mondi Lodge was more than just “accommodation” – it was an experience. I left with a full heart and would happily come back. I highly recommend Mondi Lodge to anyone visiting the island and looking for a peaceful, authentic and welcoming place to stay.

Ein ganz besonderer Ort. Eine Oase mit toller Pflanzenwelt und vielen Tieren - Haustiere und frei lebende der lokalen Fauna. Danita hat alles mit viel Liebe gestaltet. Wir hätten es nicht besser haben können!

Very rarely do you find a place that changes your entire trip. Mondi Lodge is one such place and the true highlight of Curaçao. The people, the grounds, the animals. So much special in one place.

Due to the natural design, there are a few more mosquitoes.

Wie ein kleines Paradies! Herrlich gelegen, mit sehr viel Natur vor der Haustür. Familiäre Atmosphäre!

Falls man Lärmempfindlich ist, sollte man Oropax einpacken. War für uns aber kein Problem. Allgemein gibt es auf Curacao viele Mücken.

Een tropische verrassing met een ideale ligging onder aan de heuvel die naar st. Michiel voert. Huisjes zijn enorm leuk en bieden ruim voldoende privacy. Het feit dat er een gemeenschappelijke keuken (volledig uitgerust) aanwezig is naast het zwembad biedt echter ook voldoende mogelijkheden de reuring op te zoeken. Zeer vriendelijk personeel die het leuk vindt een helpende hand te bieden. Mijn kinderen en kleinkinderen wonen voor een paar jaar op Curacao en wij zijn niet van plan naar een andere locatie op zoek te gaan. Het ontbrak ons aan niets!

We didn’t dislike anything apart from the mosquitoes (which we knew before we booked)

The staff at Mondi Lodge are an absolute treasure! We were welcomed with warm enthusiasm and left with genuine hugs. This little family is wonderful and we are going to miss them. It was lovely to sit by the pool & chat or have a dip late in the evening. The Yuana treehouse is beautifully incorporated into a giant ficus tree that has a lovely upper deck where you can enjoy the bird song. And there is plenty of bird song! We saw birds in many colours and sizes enjoying the flowers & trees. The landscaping creates a magical pocket of paradise 15 minutes from the city proper. It was a great way to enjoy the culture of Willemstad, local beaches, and the natural beauty of Curacao. For any under the LGBT flag, you have found a welcoming and safe space at Mondi Lodge.

I only wish I could have stayed longer. I made the mistake of splitting my week in Curacao between Mondi Lodge and another resort.

It was so beautiful and unique and relaxing. The whole setting is like being in a magical jungle forest. The animals/birds provide lovely background noises. The owners are so nice and kind and helpful. Both Danita and George were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The breakfasts are amazing!!! Thanks Ben for the delicious food:)

It felt like a perfect little nature oasis of peace, waking up with the mondi sounds isn’t something you automatically get on the island anymore now with the rise of concrete box resorts everywhere.

Amazing place with friendly and amazing staff. Truly incredible setting.

Loved the open kitchen and the garden area where we could bbq and cook outside. Loved to say hello to the donkeys in the morning too. Staff all very very friendly. Breakfasts were delicious! Lots of nature. We saw lots of colourful birds, parrots, lizards, cats and dogs. Pool was lovely and deep (bit of a surprise how deep). But luxurious to soak in after a long day. Bed was very comfortable and spacious.

There is a lot of mosquitoes but that’s not really the properties fault.

Breakfast was every day very tasty. If it would be too spicy you only needed to communicate that and a little change was made in the kitchen. Perfect. Our little lodge fullfilled all our wishes. Very lovely located between beautiful plants and with 2 little housefriends, small lizards, as a bonus! In the morning we loved to wake up with all the variaty of bird singing. A pool next to the lodge, a lovely veranda with a roof van, lounge chairs to relax. Every now and than an big iguana walked passed our lodge. If you pay attention and sit still for a while you could even spot a little hummingbird. It was like living in a small, green, carribic paradise. We enjoyed ever minute!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The bungalows are very comfortable and it's fun to watch the lizards on the patio. There are so many beautiful plants on the whole area as well as a lot of birds and reptiles. We didn't have any problems with mosquitoes. The breakfast was so delicious and it was a pleasure to be greeted every morning by the very friendly Ben. The online guest book was really helpful with all the recommendations.

The traffic noise can be annoying sometimes but that's not the fault of the hosts.

I have been to over 90 countries and have stayed in countless hotels of all kinds. The Mondi Lodge is amongst the most memorable, special places I have ever had the pleasure to stay in, and I can't recommend it highly enough in every way. The people who own and run it are fantastic, the grounds are full of beautiful plants and animals, it has a cool pool area with a kitchen and a trust fridge full of drinks, you can drink the tap water, the breakfast is really tasty, with a different special every morning, its close to town, but beautifully quiet so you can hear birdsong not diesel engines, and all the rooms are wee separate houses, so no noise from other guests either. I chose the tree house room...the clue is in the name....and yes, its a 2 storey wooden house built round a banyan tree, with an outdoor shower, really comfortable big bed, and just the coolest terrace upstairs, with a fridge and kitchen area, where I actually spent so much time swinging in a hammock, I could hardly be bothered going out to see any of Curaçao's beaches. It is really, really special.

Nothing to do with the hotel...but Curaçao is crowded with mosquitoes....between 6 and 8 at either end of the day, wear repellent or long sleeves, trousers. especially is you intend to fall asleep in a hammock😅

The design of treehouse was unique and memorable. It felt like we were part of nature and not trying to escape it. For breakfast, the food and service were great. They offered daily specials and a vast menu. The central location on the island is great for exploring north and south. The staff were friendly and accommodating in every way.

Mondi Lodge is a gem for the adventurous and eco-conscious who want to explore all that Curacao has to offer. The gated property is beautiful, offering the opportunity to eat breakfast or take a swim surrounded by colorful landscaping frequented by hummingbirds. The staff are incredibly thoughtful and helpful. We stayed in the treehouse -- an amazing two-story villa with all the amenities needed and a relaxed vibe. The property is centrally located, allowing for access to all parts of the island. I highly recommend Mondi Lodge for your next stay in Curacao!

We stayed in the tree house it was lovely! It is quiet, breakfast is fantastic and Janice is the sweetest! Really loved it! There is an area where you can bbq and cooked of you don't feel like going out! The location is further from Williamsted hustle, closer to Westpunt & al. Perfect for us! If you are looking for a peaceful haven, this is it! Be prepared for mosquitoes... my hubby was fine but they adored me!

We had a wonderful time at Mondi Lodge. Danita and Janine were super welcoming and the place is really nice, quiet and well kept. Breakfast was amazing and really made the difference when starting your day before heading off to the beach. Our kids (5 and 8yo) had a really nice time as well and were always running around the lodge looking for a new animal to discover. Perfect location as well if you want to drive around the island.

I wish i had booked more days…

Our family of 5 had a lovely stay at Mondi Lodge for 4 nights during our recent trip top Curacao. We loved the jungle vibe of the lodge, and the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a great place to base out of if you have a rental car to explore the island, and the breakfast was excellent as well! The kids loved playing in the pool and painting their handprints on the wall, we would definitely recommend Mondi Lodge to other travelers!

A green oasis full of life, delicious breakfast, palapas have everything you need. The pool is fabulous and we loved coming back to sit on the porch at the end of the day.

We loved everything, and people should be aware that the location is not walkable to anything (food, groceries, beaches, etc.) We didn't mind, but good to know.

The place is incredible, it seems that you are in the middle of the jungle. Much peace and tranquility. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing!! And All animals are soooo cute!

The lodge was amazing! The staff were friendly, helpful and offered great advice including helping to sort out a hire car. The accommodation itself is set in a great location not too far from the airport, local supermarket and not far from a couple of nices beaches. The breakfast was awesome, you had a full menu to choose from including a daily special which was delicious. I would 1000% recommend staying here!!!

We loved all the animals at Mondi! The landscaping was also very nice. All the people that work at Mondi were super nice! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet nonresort type of stay.

Overall stay was amazing. The Mondi team were so welcoming and provided everything we needed. Definitely more rustic feeling but that was part of the fun.

Mondi lodge was everything my husband and I expected, and more. We stayed for a weekend for our anniversary celebration. All staff were incredibly welcoming and gave great suggestions for places to visit, eat and explore. The breakfast each morning was fresh and yummy! They are very accommodating if you have any food preferences. (Always try the daily special!) WiFi worked good, plenty of parking. It's a 10-15min drive to the city. We didn't find this inconvenient at all. It was nice to relax outside of the hustle and bustle. Can't wait to spend another weekend here. Thank you again to all of the incredible staff for making our trip so amazing :)

We just returned from an amazing vacation in Curacao. The visit would not have been the same without the stay at the Mondi Lodge. Danita and her staff are so welcoming. The property is completely different then a traditional hotel feel and we loved it. It felt like home. Although, I don’t have an outdoor shower at home. Might have to get one, but not sure that will work for the cold winters in NY. Being a family of animal lovers, we enjoyed the dogs. Atsu was a family favorite and lounged with us later in the evening by the pool. The breakfast was always delicious...wish I had that banana pancake recipe. Yum. They accommodated my daughters food allergy and made gluten free delicious options as well. Which can be a challenge! Barbel was so thoughtful and made our children’s birthdays that they celebrated while on vacation extra special with a card, gift, and a special breakfast dessert.
