The location and view of the ocean were great. Bed was very comfortable. Furnishings in sitting area were very comfortable.

Molding in bathroom was dirty. Base of the toilet leaked water on floor constantly. Jacuzzi faucet was very loose and there was inadequate screening on the water return. Fire sprinkler above the bed was loose.

The Adobe is an older property located in a beautiful coastal area, with the ocean crashing onto rocks just yards from the rooms. The view really is its saving grace. It's simply a gorgeous place to spend some time, and that makes guests willing to overlook the obvious need for upkeep and a complete refresh. The hotel is just a short drive from beautiful Cape Perpetua and the iconic Heceta Head lighthouse. Bonus points for proximity, and having a restaurant onsite is a huge plus! The staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful.

This hotel has seen better days. The decor is so dated that it's beginning to feel a bit depressing. It seriously feels like the setting for a suspense novel in which things do not go well. With no AC, it would have been nice to have had working screens on the windows.

Bed was very hard. Trash found in room and things were not cleaned in the room. Fan had a good layer of dirt on it and there was old coffee under the coffee machine. Things in the room needed some repair.

The upkeep at this hotel is seriously lacking, it smells inside, is very shabby with broken tiles in the ceiling and rust and peeling pain everywhere.

The property is looking a little dated but is wonderful. Our room faced the ocean and we listened to the waves all night. The ocean front rooms are terrific with a view. The only thing I would ask is a screen over the window to keep the bugs out at night - they are just looking for a bit of light. Maybe the screen could open and close too.

They were overrun and understaffed for breakfast. I would suggest either a buffet or trying to find some more help.

The room didn’t have air conditioning and was way too hot. Their solution of open the windows and door then use the fan to cool the room was not a comfortable answer and didn’t work.

The food was excellent and the access to the outside for my 2 dogs was good. The view from the room was excellent, the waves during the rainstorm was exciting at least to me. The access to Trail 804 was excellent for the dogs & I as we like to walk and see the sights.

Because the room was dated, the noise from the upstairs room was noisy.

Our door couldn’t fully close. There was a time I thought I had closed it only to realize the door was completely opened. You pretty much have to slam on the door for it to close properly. Did not realize there was no ac in the room. Did not like how there was a room right behind where the door opens to in the hallway. Accidently slammed into the next door door when bringing luggage in a and out

The location of the Adobe is so stellar, it was magical, and it was beyond perfect! I’ve stayed at many places along the coast line of of Oregon and this is my new number 1 Favorite Pl.… Watching those gorgeous waves crashed into the rocks and splash up in the air… Phenomenal! Everything was perfect, I never wanted to leave!! thank you!

The only thing I can think of is no screen door on the sliding glass door to let some fresh air in and to hear the ocean, as bugs did get into the room. If I were staying there longer, I would’ve just purchased one and installed it myself.

Lack of furniture.. small TV for the size of the room... Bed sheets were clean but old. The bed was new and comfortable. It looks like they are working on it and putting money into it. Just a old funky place on the coast.

The coast is very beautiful there with a breathtaking walk for about 3/4 of a mile next to the waves crashing in the rocks. The unit was roomy. The hotel’s hot tub was hot like it should be. The pool was enjoyed by the child that was with us. The unit was stocked with pans and saucepans, dishes and utensils. The unit has a working oven and stove. Working dishwasher, full sized fridge with freezer.

It’s somewhat dated. We stayed in a 2 bdrm suite that was roomy with a kitchenette and a living room. No view from the room but a very short walk to the ocean. The unit was somewhat dark. The beds gave us backaches. The table’s finish is sticky, but not from neglect- cleaning it with sanitizing products has left the table with a sticky finish. No pans for use in the oven was provided. I brought my own because they are rarely provided at any of the hotels with kitchens.

The rocky shore and black sands. The history of people who truly owned the land is punctuated by the crashing waves that can be heard anywhere on the property. The proximity to Yachats. Walkable for some, or a very short drive. Beds are comfy, rooms are clean and varied depending on what kind of experience you want: solo, family, couples, dogs! Some of the front desk staff have been here longer than I have been visiting.

The food is overpriced, even for a small town, as is much of the dining experience in yachats. That being said, the menu is varied enough so that anyone can find something to like or keep coming back for.

The location is absolutely amazing and impressive at any time of day. The whole place has a very cinematic atmosphere – a bit like The Shining ;) The exhibition about the history of the resort was also really interesting. We had a huge, comfortable room with a separate bedroom and living area. The bathroom was freshly renovated and everything was very clean. For the price we paid, it was honestly excellent value.

Unfortunately, the sauna was out of order during our stay. Also, all the other facilities, even the ping-pong room, closed at 10 pm. Since there is basically nothing happening in the surrounding area, there was not much to do in the evening after that, which was a bit disappointing, especially as we stayed there in the middle of the summer season.

Positive: every staff member was kind and helpful, very friendly. We were invited to check in two hours early, which was very convenient. The property is perfectly located with a long trail in the back along the coastline. Cable tv. The pool and Hot tub were both clean.

Negatives: The room was not very clean. There was dust and dirt and a dead bug smashed into the curtain. The window was missing a screen so bugs could get in if you wanted to listen to the ocean. Keeping the coffee maker and drinking glasses in the bathroom is not a sanitary choice. The skee ball machine in the game room is busted up. Myself and another person dined at the on site restaurant, ordered different dishes and we both got diarrhea. Some of the doors were difficult to open.

The hotel is outdated and appears to need significant upgrades, particularly in the guest rooms. I booked two rooms specifically because they advertised fireplaces, but neither fireplace was functioning properly. In addition to the fireplaces, we experienced several other problems with the rooms: The TVs were not hooked up and could not be used. The Keurig coffee makers were not working. The telephones were not working. In one of the rooms, the heater did not have a cover. The drapes were hanging off the hooks. There were no window screens. The windows were dirty. We reported these problems to the front desk and were told that someone would be sent to our rooms to inspect and address the issues. Unfortunately, the problems were not properly resolved. In one room, no one came to repair the fireplace or telephone. In the other room, maintenance came to inspect the fireplace and told us that he would return to replace it, but he never came back, and the fireplace remained unusable. The following day, we again reported the unresolved issues to the front desk and suggested that I contact Booking.com to report the situation and request compensation. We paid for accommodations that included certain amenities and expected the rooms to be in proper working condition. Unfortunately, several basic amenities and advertised features were unavailable, and the hotel was unable to resolve the issues during our stay. I am therefore requesting that Booking.com review this matter and provide appropriate compensation for the significant inconvenience and the services and amenities that were not provided as expected. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Look forward to hearing from Booking.com soon.

The room was big and clean, the service at restaurant was great, the Bartender Harrison was very friendly despite him being under preassure. Food was delicious, clean walls, and table setting. Check in was quick. Check out was easy. The tv was fixed straight away

Couldnt work the coffee maker, no milk in fridge, there was no sign saying do not drink tap water (felt sick from drinking tap water). Another cozy blanket could make the bed feel warmer when sleeping and possibly a small mat beside the bed.

Spent over 100$ for dinner for 2 and the food was terrible. They use 1 sauce for all the dishes and its too spicy.

Die Zimmer sind sehr dunkel. Trotz strahlendem Sonnenschein vor der Tür. Es riecht nicht frisch in den Zimmern. Und es war sehr kalt in den Räumen. Das Fitnessstudio ist mit Teppich ausgelegt und wirklich in die Jahre gekommen, das Schwimmbad ist lieblos.

We always love the Adobe my wife and I have celebrated several anniversaries there. We just live the relaxing atmosphere and everyone we ever run into there is having a great time.

The view was amazing!

The building is a dump! Not at all like the pictures. The Sliding glass door to the cliff was hard to open and almost impossible to close. Its lock was broken and we had to use a piece of wood to secure the room. The place really needs a fresh coat of paint, since the walls and door were all scratched up. The cables from the TV were also exposed and hanging down. And the electrical outlets were broken and only half there. I really was disappointed in the Adobe resort. I don’t know why it’s a resort. I would not want to ledger there!

We loved the view from our room especially since it was very windy, but we could still enjoy the ocean looking out. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast in the restaurant.

Location was outstanding. Loved having a balcony upon which to sit out and enjoy.

Great location for a very poor hotel. For $400 a night, no AC, vending machines were broken, elevator wasn't working the second day, there was no shampoo or conditioner, all the coffee in the room was decaf and the tools were like sand paper.

I can't recommend this lodging. I've been coming for years. Previous visit was questionable as I had allergic reaction to pets in a no pet building. Front desk said it happens that people sneak pets. OK. Fast forward to this visit. We received a smelly. BO ridden, stale, suffocating room with a nonfunctioning window on a property that had recent renovation. We switched rooms, not without a hassle and went from 2 queen's to 1. The bathroom was nicely renovated, but no amount of paint and carpet covers run down. As for service, the behavior of the bartender Heather towards handicapped people was egregiously offensive. Until I made a scene and refused to purchase a drink at all, she agreed to my request for someone to carry my drink up stairs. I was chastized and reminded that they don't serve upstairs above the bar. And don't tell anyone. So I am. Telling. I tipped. I didn't expect it for free. Many complaints about her in reviews. The level of service from this visit sealed the deal not to return. Pretty much ruined our stay. Views are great. Service terrible. As for the room , meh. Highest ICK factor twice now. So done with this place. I've posted once before about this place with 5 stars. . Things have changed for the worse. Now they get 1. 0 if I could. Air quality is toxic. Run.

Beautiful location with quick access to the 804 shore trail on the Oregon Coast.

It's an overpriced "resort" that still looks like 1945. Rooms smell musty. In our room the curtain was dirty and off its rungs. The teeny balcony offered a 1st floor partially obstructed view of ocean. Coffee cups were for 6 ounce drinks while Keurig machine's lowest setting was for 8 ounces, so that was fun. We were on the first floor so we were awakened by those overhead; every footstep was loud. Restaurant had too few choices so we didn't eat here. If I hadn't paid top dollar for it, I wouldn't have expected better.

The room was extremely outdated. The bed, pillows, and blanket were all very uncomfortable and made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. To make matters worse, there was a horrible smell in our room, like something had died. Because of this awful odor, we had to sleep with the window wide open all night, but even that didn't help much.The hotel looked much better in the photos than it did in reality. We are completely disappointed and would not recommend staying here

Beautiful scenic coastline at the back of the property. The room was large and comfortable. The water pressure for the shower was GREAT! (It never is at a hotel) the bed was comfortable. The facilities were nice. (Gym, pool, lounge). The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. This location was a highlight of my vacation. The value of what we paid for the room was incredible for what we got.

The room was missing just a few items, such as enough towels and blankets for the number of guests. Also, the cleaning was a smidge under done. There was a small kids jersey left behind by a previous guest that the cleaning crew missed and just some general dirty smudges on the walls and such.

When you say resort, a certain level of luxury is implied and expected. Nothing about the hotel is remotely resort like. The bed was hard, the pillows were flat, the microwave sparked and smelled of burnt electrical wires, the shower was tiny, the toilet was tiny, no seating area in the room, the view from my room was billed as an ocean view but was mostly obstructed by all the other balconies. The decor and furnishings were ridiculously outdated and mismatched and building was in disrepair. There was an electric "fireplace" propped up in the corner on the floor. No key card security for the building and the gap in the door to my room let in light from the hallway. My patio door did not lock and there was a plastic rod to place in the slider track for a "lock". The rain downspouts were rusted through so the rain just dumped onto my patio. The building was so loud from people in the hallway all night and someone was playing bagpipes outside our building at about 7pm after a long day of driving we couldn't even relax.

Some parts of the resort are getting a little outdated. The pool was a nice bonus, along with the game room, but it but both needed maintenance and cleaned up a little more.

The hotel was a great disappoint. It had come highly recommended. Upon arrival and on the first day (and other days) the staff were stressed and unhelpful. I concluded that the management must be bad, as I've never come across that many stressed staff. They were not friendly at the front desk; a woman from the dining area told us to make a reservation for dinner at the front desk. The front desk questioned the veracity of the request, and did not believe us. We went to the bar for a drink; the hostess was so stress because we had sat at a table she was responsible for, as well as the bar, and she didn't have time to serve us. The coffee machine in the room was broken; we informed another of the rotating cast of characters at the front desk, they said they would tell maintenance, but it was never replace, so no morning coffee in the room. The room was half painted, as were parts of the hallways as if they were testing colors, it looked like it was in the process of being redecorated!

The Adobe is wonderful! We have stayed here twice and we love the rooms, the pool, the restaurant, the location. The staff. We love everything about it!

I love this property. I’ve stayed here multiple times! There are a few very lovely ladies at the front desk who I greatly appreciate. We were unable to check in on time due to our room being unavailable because of the person previous to us checking out late, the wonderful woman I was on the phone with said that we would work something out when I got there. There was a shift change so the woman that greeted me were not accommodating at all.. I told him previously that I had a pet and the lady on the phone told me that she would take notes but they didn’t and I wasn’t in a pet room so they charged me $50. She also told me that she wasn’t sure who Wood told me they would work something out and basically was not willing to extend my stay or anything even though we were weren’t able to check in until 5 PM. We did end up staying late because the lady I previously spoken to was there the day that I checked out and made sure to accommodate us, but I was not fond of the lack of communication and not communicating the pet fee in advance. I love the view. The room was spacious and the price is extremely fair, but the beds were horribly uncomfortable and I could barely sleep and it was so hot and humid in there and of course, none of the hotels on the coast have air-conditioning so I can’t hold them for that.

The window was very very hard to open. There were scrapes and marks on the walls that should be fixed/painted.

Nice view nice staff. Good hot tub. The only thing that was nice was the Jacuzzi next to the window with HALF an ocean view for $550 for 2 nights. A large bed, an Iron, a few coat hangers, and some basic shampoo and a K-cup machine that was not properly set so I used up 3 cups of water and wasted 3 cups just to get a coffee going. Yay. Def not worth over $200 a night even with the nicest room (at least for me) feels old and run down the only thing renovated is the bathroom and even that feels wonky. The air vent was sketchy, the wall outlets I definitely would not trust. The chairs in my room were in front of the heaters. That thing can get really hot and kind of a fire hazard. Classy, little open for some space. Nothing fancy. Not overly strict hotel, but not super fancy either. It is a 6-7.5 on my scale. I loved the stairs option and elevator close by, pool was easy to access. Friendly atmosphere. Very chill. Bad side is there is almost no food places and you gotta drive to next town. Lowkey a 5/10 but we are here for the ocean view and at night it is strong winds with high waves on the cliffs with strong lights. Love that feeling. Def grab a room when it is cheaper not super bad if you just want to stop real quick.

Horrible location. Feels like it should not belong there. On a random side of a cliff with strong winds, the type of place you drive by. Super awkward location, but I love it. Coffee place next door. Pizza restaurant next door but long wait. I just go next town over for food. If you like fresh air and window open then this is for you! If you love noisy wind at night and ocean waves, seagulls and living on the edge definitely check it out! I was skeptical at first, but it was a good experience.

This is one of my favorite stretchs of the Oregon coast. We had an ocean view room and it was wonderful to open the windows and listen to the waves and breathe the fresh air. The restaurant is excellent. The beds were too soft though.
