The bed was just to my liking and the shower was decent. The art throughout the hotel is a nice touch giving the building character.
The room was, how shall I say it, snug. I think the place could do with a lick of paint on the outside where it is looking a little tired.
Sfeer , ambiance , kwaliteit en persoonlijke benadering.
Had lots of character and staff very friendly
Bathroom was very tired and in need of attention
Alles
Etwas renovierungsbedürftig.
Beautiful old mansion with a lot of art and decorations. Big garden, lots of places to sit for breakfast or drinks in the afternoon evening. The rooms are large, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood. The breakfast is delicious with lots of choices like yogurt, fruits, nuts, different fresh breads and croissants, cheeses, meats, boiled eggs, and a good espeesso machine if you like your coffee strong.
Shower is a bit simple, but still fine.
purtroppo la manutenzione dell’immobile, specialmente all’esterno era molto carente. Mancava l’aria condizionata
Besonderes Ambiente, geschmackvoll eingerichtete, mit viel Kunst dekorierte Villa.
Zi. 210 Teppich hatte Flecken.
Unfortunately we were expecting a restaurant in the hotel & not just breakfast and so were very disappointed that we had to go out to eat in the evening. But that could have just been us not reading the blurb properly beforehand.
Aussenräume, Atmosphäre
Zimmer war klein, alter Teppichboden, darunter starke Unebenheiten, fast schon gefährlich. Dusche sehr eng.
Sehr empfehlenswert.
Great place for a stopover near Vosges mountains in the South Alsace Wine famous road. To recommend.
tres bien
Quirky and fun!
No lift so don’t bring any heavy suitcases!
Charmantes Herrenhaus
Free parking in hotel. Some restaurants at walking distance. Nice maintained vintage toilet in bedroom. Mattress was comfortable
My impression was to be staying at an antique shop. Don't expect a vintage style hotel. Everything is too old and at a point not really functional. Bedroom in November when we arrived around 4pm was extremely cold and old heating and lack of isolation in windows was not compensating the cold temperature. On top of that I found a strong home perfume in the bedroom that made my breath uncomfortable. I was staying there for 1 night and I hardly could sleep. Old door, no isolation. You can hear everything from the corridor. Bedroom floors are squeaking. Closet's was opening and squeaking all the time. For breakfast, croissants were not refilled and we had any, also for bread, they ran out of baguettes and they had no more. Only filter coffee available. Cappuccino from the coffee machine is to be paid additionally. All in all expensive for a bad quality sleep
Beautiful building with extraordinary interior and art collection. I wish I had more time to explore it. Comfortable beds and nice breakfast.
Nothing
Great ambience, decor and breakfast
Everything was perfect
I stayed at this hotel for three nights, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the lack of a warm welcome set the tone for our stay. The breakfast was of very poor quality. Overall, the lack of hospitality and attention to basic standards made my stay far from enjoyable. I would not recommend this hotel to others.
Location is good.Breakfast could be better.Room was old and needs to be renewed.there is no elevator in hotel so i had to carry all my luggages, baby stroller and out kid myself.there was no any slipper in the room when we arrived.they gave after we requested.
Excellent hotel. Quirky and interesting inside. EV charger on site. We recommend the Hotel highly.
The house was beautiful and the staff very friendly
The breakfast was good but very different from what we expected after reading the online reviews. Our room was a nice size and heavily scented from a baby powder fragrance. The cobwebs in every corner added a nice touch for October decor. The bathroom is what you'd expect from a very old house with little ventilation.
Sängarna var mindre bra.
A warm welcome to an outstanding and beautiful chateau
The old villa has its own character: each room is individually furnished and the whole house is decorated with contemporary art. - We really enjoyed our stay!
The style of the hotel
Reception and bar closed in the evening, cold and unfriendly personnel, old stuffy rooms. WAY OVERPRICED!!!
The rooms were pretty. The hotel is gorgeous. The breakfast was great.
We loved this hotel. Would certainly recommend it.
Hotel was absolutely amazing like chateaux style. A lot of nice paintings on the walls. Breakfast was perfect and the space for taking a breakfast was excellent. Free parking, comfortable bed.
Little space in the bathroom
Charming hotel in a historic building, spacious room and very comfortable beds and linen. The large savory and sweet breakfast is possible in the dining room or in a lovely garden facing the park.
Nothing
Beautiful facility and grounds. Clean room. Great staff and breakfast! Room was spacious even for 4 twin beds.
Our stay was in August and it is a hotter than usual time, so not having air conditioning made for a challenging night to get comfortable. A fan was provided and it worked for 3 of the 4 beds. That’s a risk we took traveling in August. Just something to be aware of.
Beautiful building Parking Staff very helpful Great rooms
Nothing
Absolutely amazing grounds and such a romantic house, a bit shabby chic but so charming and relaxing. Very welcoming for our dog as well. Great beds!! Great breakfast! Highly recommend!
The room smelled a bit ‘old’ and damp but I suppose that’s unavoidable for such an old house. Not a dealbreaker!
We booked the hotel within 30 minutes of arriving at the door, and it was the last room available. It was a little small, but we understood that, and as things turned out, it was a great stay, everything was very clean and well kept. This hotel won't be to everyone's taste, if you like minimalist, it isn't for you, it is a curious collection of art and artifacts and is almost like staying in a gallery masquerading as a hotel. We really liked that. Everywhere, there is something interesting to see. The art is eclectic, and hugely varied, but nowhere in any hotel stay have I ever stopped in a corridor to admire the hotel art, take it in, and appreciate the work, apart from here. The owner clearly sees this hotel as a labour of love, in many eyes, and even in mine at the beginning, it was a little over the top, but the longer we were there the more we appreciated it. It is quirky with a capital Q, but the breakfast was excellent, and we left that morning with a smile on our face and feeling as though we had experienced something a bit different and more interesting and feeling better for it.
Nothing
Original decor, friendly staff. Big bathroom. Quiet location.
Breakfast too expensive. A fridge would be a useful addition.
Lovely place, very pet friendly
Beautiful building, which is also used as an art gallery, which made a very pleasant and interesting setting
The hotel restaurant serves a set dinner (which we knew when we booked it), so we chose to eat out. All recommended restaurants were a long walk or car journey away. Taxis would not do the shorter distances and even a 10 minute trip cost us 80 Euros for the round trip
Nice quaint old converted mansion into a period hotel in a quiet neighborhood of a small Alsacian town. Everything was done well with personal service and attention. An elevator is the only thing that would make it easier for older people and heavy luggage. Highly recommend for a unique experience back in time.
Wonderful hotel offering old-world elegance galore! We loved the beautiful building and furnishings with our own private terrace that overlooked the garden. Very comfortable bed. Superb breakfast. Plenty of convenient parking. Quite a distance to town for restaurants for dinner but all flat easy walking. The host kindly booked us a table at a restaurant on our arrival. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Nothing.
Simply wonderfully created location, lovely breakfast, too. E-charging station on premise
Very nice old building, helpful and friendly staff
The charm and history
No elevator
everythink was excelent . Breakfast , rooms.
The Chateau was very well preserved and located very close to Colmar. Perfect place to stay away from the crowd in the meantime close to the nature. Our room was room was quite big with a nice terrace. We are so glad that we could stay with our cats. The interior design was in a classical style harmonized with dozens of art pieces. Staff were so nice, friendly and professional. Exceptional breakfast with a special tea corner.
It’s a beautiful little castle with art work all over, it’s like stepping in a fairy tale.
The room wasn’t very clean and during our stay of 7 days the maids didn’t clean it at all. They only made the bed.
The hotel itself looks beautiful - very cozy place to stay for a couple of days
Breakfast: closing at 10 am,very limited menue and even if you arrive at 9-15, a number of positions were gone and they do not add them back (waffles, for example, for the kids and some other positions. You ask - they say - no, it's finished))), no services (you need to fry eggs for yourself), etc. We booked breakfast for 2 days, but after 1st breakfast, we canceled the second one. In such a nice and little place and for the money they charge , the breakfast should be very different. There are no services in general in this place. You are coming back to the hotel around 21-00, going to the bar (exists), they see you but they are not coming to you. After 15 minutes of sitting there, you are searching for someone, and this person is saying: "bar is closed since 21"... So, in general, in this place, people do not know what the word "service" means. Or they know but do not want to provide it.
Comfortable and clean with a superb breakfast.
Everything was fine. Amazing old building with good decoration taste especially in the entrance area and magical garden. Located in a silent marvelous place surrounded with greenery and half an hour close to Colmar.
All was OK, except there was a dead bug in the drawer in the bathroom which scared me and one big fly in the room, but the place is located in the green so can be tolerated.
The building
It doesn’t have swimming pool.
The owner was sooo nice, he served wine and did a great job welcoming me. I wasn't so keen on the location but the place was great. I got great service. No fridge in the room but no worries he held my wine for me for when I was ready for it. Bed was comfortable.
Location wasn't the greatest, being over an hour to Strasboug and 35 mins to Comar...traveling around Alsace was not that fun. no outlet in the bathroom, and had to hold open the window with towel stand to keep the room cool. no lift.
Interesting place to stay. Breakfast was really good. Nice garden. The terrace in the room was really useful because of the warm weather. It's well located in Guebwiller.
There's a very little problem with the keyhole and room door. They work well but, damn, it's not very easy to glide the key inside the keyhole correctly.
the bathroom
Very romantic and relaxing stay. So much to see! The host was very friendly and helpful.
Nice garden, breakfast was good on the terrace.
There is no elevator, if you are not young and fit it might be a challenge for you get your bags on the 3 floor by stairs.
Charming place, clean and good breakfast!
We had a rather large, comfortable room with a large balcony overlooking the park, which was a great place to relax in the morning and after returning to the hotel in the evening. This chateaux had an impressive lay-out with some amazing common rooms - parking was just outside. We very much enjoyed the breakfast in the park, an experience completely different to what you will find in a typical (upscale) hotel. There are many things to enjoy in the area and we hope to return another time.
We have stayed in quite a few castles/chateauxs/mansions converted into hotels and most of them share the problem of maintaining a property that was built in a time when labor was cheap. This hotel also had this problem, in particular when it came to the expansive park and to the bathroom, which was not quite up-to-date. Using period art can make an old house feeling heavy, however we wouldn't have minded less "comtempory" art on the walls in and outside our room - bare walls can also be very pleasing!
We loved everything about our stay, and can't wait to come back someday! Such a beautiful and well-maintained chateau, we loved our room, bathroom, walking the grounds, and relaxing and sipping Alsatian wine on the back patio behind it. Breakfast had everything we could want for a stay in France, and we were happy that it was an easy walk to town to grab dinner if we didn't feel like driving. A great place to stay while you explore the lower part of the Alsace Wine Road like we were. Thank you for having us!

Fantastic hotel imaginatively done, full of interesting objet and art. Set in beautiful parkland where the environment is clearly important to the owners. Very comfortable bed and room and super breakfast. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Lovely, classical chateau which has been well maintained and thoughtfully updated. Super location.
Lots of stairs: that’d be an issue for many potential guests.
Located in a beautiful castle, very good breakfast.
10 min walk to the center is along a narrow road with many cars.
The hotel is located in an ancient castle. The room is very spacious with a big bathroom. Bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was really delicious. Especially the croissants were amazing. The breakfast doesn’t have much option but the taste was really good. The hotel was clean and the stuff was polite. There is parking space available in the hotel yard without any payment.
The hotel doens’t have It’s own restaurant. We were really hungry when we arrived at the hotel and we had a hard time finding an open restaurant with available table. You should definitely make a reservation from nearby restaurants.
Guter Service
Loved the old world feel to this hotel and the very friendly staff. The breakfast room was amazing and there was great choice of fresh foods to choose from.
There was no lift and we were on the top floor
amazing place! we will back again
