Riad 22 - L'Etoile d'Orient

We had a really lovely stay here. The riad is beautiful, charming and very well looked after. It has a very special atmosphere and really lets you experience the traditional side of Marrakech. The location is also perfect - right in the heart of the city, with most of the main sights within walking distance. At the same time, it is a peaceful and comfortable place to come back to after a day in the city. The breakfasts were also absolutely delicious. Our host deserves a special mention - he was incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming, and we really felt taken care of throughout our stay. Whenever we had a question or needed help with anything, he was always there for us. He also told us a lot about local customs and gave us useful tips and recommendations, which made our stay even better. We were two girls travelling together and felt very safe throughout our stay, which I think is especially worth mentioning for other female travellers. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this riad.

Nos explicó todo perfectamente y se preocupó por cada detalle para que nuestra estancia fuera lo más cómoda, agradable y segura posible. Las instalaciones son excelentes, el alojamiento está muy bien ubicado y todo lo que le hemos pedido nos lo ha facilitado siempre con una sonrisa. También nos recogieron y llevaron al aeropuerto, y Badr nos orientó y aconsejó para que pudiéramos disfrutar de Marrakech de la mejor manera posible. Se nota que realmente se preocupa por sus huéspedes. Un detalle que nos encantó fue que, el día que nos fuimos de tour y tuvimos que salir antes de la hora del desayuno, nos prepararon el desayuno para llevar. Son esos pequeños detalles los que marcan la diferencia. Gracias a su amabilidad, atención y cercanía nos hemos sentido como en casa. Ha estado fantástico, no le doy más estrellas porque no hay. Pedro el anfitrión" Asi es la traducción de su nombre en castellano", dicho por él, es una persona muy amable, atento, servicial, lo que necesites se lo dices y te lo resuelve. He estado en varios hoteles por diferentes lugares, pero la amabilidad de Pedro no lo había sentido, estuvo pendiente de nosotros en todo momento, se preocupaba si quizás tardabamos, por si acaso nos perdíamos o algo asi. Si tienes dudas en cuanto a ir alguna parte él te explica y te aconseja. El hotel es un poco escondido, pero no sé dejen llevar por la primera impresión, realmente es muy segura esa zona, nosotros luego la recorriamos todo como unos más de ahí. Realmente me quedo corta describiendo como fué nuestra experiencia en el hotel. Sin duda alguna REPETIREMOS. LO RECOMIENDO 100%

El Riad es super bonito, limpio y con una buena ubicación para ir caminando a todas partes. La gente que lo lleva es muy amable, te ayuda en cada duda que tengas y te hace sentir como en casa :) volveremos

Un riad très joli, bien décoré, bien placé. Chambre confortable et spacieuse, pareil pour la salle de bain. Une belle piscine pour se détendre, un accueil au top… nous avons regretté de n’y passer qu’une nuit et de partir tôt pour prendre notre avion, à refaire !

Realmente nos encantó todo, la amabilidad del anfitrión siempre pendiente de que no nos faltase de nada, la limpieza y la piscina que nos vino genial para los días de calor. La verdad es que el Riad es muy bonito y siempre fueron todo facilidades necesitábamos un lugar para cenar por qué llegamos tarde al Riad tras la excursión al desierto y nos acompañaron hasta la misma puerta de un restaurante de confianza. Experiencia de 10 sin duda un lugar para disfrutar y repetir Recomendable 100%

A bit difficult to locate the property at first however easy to navigate narrow pedestrian alleys once familiar with the place.

Sin duda, lo mejor de nuestra estancia fue el anfitrión. La atención de Badr fue excepcional: estuvo pendiente de nosotros antes de llegar al riad, durante toda la estancia y, incluso después de marcharnos, se aseguró de que llegáramos bien a nuestro siguiente destino. Viajábamos con coche y él mismo se ocupó de buscarnos un aparcamiento seguro y vigilado, a solo cinco minutos caminando del riad, lo cual nos dio muchísima tranquilidad. El riad es precioso, súper tranquilo y con una ubicación inmejorable en plena medina. Nos sentimos como en casa desde el primer momento. El desayuno es delicioso y las camas, comodísimas. Con el calor que hacía en Marrakech, poder darse un baño en la pequeña piscina fue un auténtico plus. Viajamos a menudo a Marrakech y, sin duda, esta ha sido la mejor relación calidad‑precio que hemos encontrado. Cuando volvamos, no dudaremos en alojarnos de nuevo en este riad.

A riad in the Old Town. It features atmospheric décor, a refreshing pool, and delicious breakfasts. What makes this place truly special is the staff—specifically Badr, who is incredibly helpful and always smiling. Thanks to him, you feel well looked after. I highly recommend this place!

Hard to park there is a close parking but its better to contact the Riad first so they can guide well otherwise is can be tricky

The whole Riad is impeccable, the rooms, the host, the food, the terrace... But the pool is excellent. Me and my friend stayed for 2 nights and the experience was like we were at home. The treatment was above our expectations. We needed to leave early the first morning for a day trip and the host prepared us some breakfast to take away ❤️. And the day we left he let us keep the luggage there and have some rest before leaving to the airport. Nothing bad to say in the comments, Shkram!!! We'll definitely go back there if we travel again to Marrakech!!!!! Felt like home!

El mejor riad de Marrakech!! Muy bien ubicado, súper limpio y cuidado, tal y como las fotos. Badr ha sido súper simpático, atento y servicial en todo momento, dispuesto a ayudar en todo, un trato excepcional. El desayuno variado, riquísimo y todo lo demás perfecto también. An exceptional riad in the heart of the Medina. Beautiful, peaceful and very authentic, with a lovely traditional courtyard pool and a fantastic rooftop terrace. The breakfast was varied, fresh and delicious every morning. The highlight of our stay was Badr, the manager. He contacted us before our arrival to arrange the airport transfer and offer dinner if needed. Throughout our stay, he was always available to help us plan our days, recommend the best places to shop, avoid tourist traps and suggest excellent restaurants. His kindness, professionalism and genuine hospitality were outstanding – better than the concierge service in many five-star hotels. He truly made our stay unforgettable.

There was nothing we didn’t like. Everything was perfect.

Fantastic location and very quiet area. Comfortable beds and AC in room which is needed . Badr is an amazing host fully dedicated to his job. He helps with everything even small thing👌 Every morning we had breakfast with different Moroccan selections which was very tasty! Rooms need a bit of update and refreshment but except that whole stay was absolutely unforgettable! Thank you Badr for your service and hospitality.

Nasz pobyt w tym riadzie był fantastyczny. To piękne, klimatyczne i bardzo czyste miejsce, położone w świetnej lokalizacji. Pokoje są komfortowe, śniadania pyszne, a atmosfera sprawia, że od razu można poczuć marokański klimat. Szczególne podziękowania dla Badra. 😊 Był niezwykle serdeczny, pomocny i zawsze uśmiechnięty. Dbał o każdy szczegół naszego pobytu i sprawił, że czuliśmy się naprawdę mile widziani. Taka gościnność zostaje w pamięci. Z całego serca polecam ten riad każdemu, kto odwiedza Marrakesz. Na pewno tu wrócimy!

TODO, es un sitio espectacular para pasar unos días en Marrakech, el personal es increíble tanto en amabilidad como en atención, no te falta de nada. Los desayunos son abundantes y están deliciosos. Las habitaciones están bastante bien, incluso tienen nevera por si la necesitas. La piscina está fresquita para aliviar el calor de allí :). En el baño hay secador y plancha incluso! No falta detalle

Un tres bon accueil, nous avons avons pu compter sur le responsable du riad pour toutes nos questions et avoir des conseils de lieux a visiter, de restaurant, etc. Le petit déjeuner etait chaque jour un peu différent c'était super et vraiment tres tres bon. La chambre était tres bien aussi avec des lits confortables. Et la situation du riad est top a proximité des souk et a 15 minutes de la place Jemaa El Fna.

Manque de luminosité dans la chambre.

La atención de Abdallah y de las señoras de la cocina. La cena espectacular. La piscina deliciosa y refrescante para el calor de Marrakech. La habitación cómoda. El personal nos hizo sentir como en casa. Instalaciones siempre limpias, la terraza hermosa.

Impressive traditional accommodation. Ideal location within the Medina. On foot you can see all the sights of the old town. Clean facilities. Rich breakfast. Very polite and helpful staff.

Somewhat old and not well maintained, at least my room in the ground floor. The shower did not drain properly and the toilet flush leaked often.

V ubytování byl malý bazének, koupání v něm bylo velmi osvěžující po velmi parném dni. Personál byl velmi milý, dokonce nám dali ochutnat z jejich večeře a to bylo velmi milé gesto, byli velmi pohostinní. Zařídili nám odvoz na letiště a hostitel s námi šel až na místo srazu s taxikářem.

V pokoji by snad mohlo být více úložných prostor a nebo polic.

Le Riad est très bien placé et très bien indiqué ! Un taxi pour l’aéroport est à votre disposition sous réservation ce qui est vraiment pratique ! Le personnel a fait preuve d’une grande gentillesse et de bons conseils : thé offert à notre arrivée et préparation du petit déjeuner très tôt le matin pour partir à l’aéroport. La chambre est très propre et très calme, vraiment spacieuse avec une très belle décoration ! Nous aurions pu rester ici pendant des semaines ! La piscine est un vrai plus et donne beaucoup de charme à cet endroit. De plus le rooftop et la terrasse sont incroyables pour se détendre et s’évader un peu du bruit de Marrakech ! Merci beaucoup !

Pequeño y tranquilo Riad sin grandes lujos, pero con todo lo que necesitas para tu estancia. Destacar la parte fundamental de este sitio que es Badr, la persona responsable del Riad la cual ha hecho que nuestra experiencia estos días haya sido elevada a un nivel excepcional. Badr ha estado pendiente de nosotros en todo momento, incluso antes de que llegáramos. Nos recibió con una sabrosa cena de bienvenida, pese a que llegamos muy tarde y con retraso, en la que pudimos disfrutar del mejor tajine que hemos probado durante nuestra estancia en Marrakesh; nos dio recomendaciones de sitios y lugares para visitar, así como de restaurantes y zonas para ver; los sabrosos y variados desayunos que nos ofreció cada mañana hicieron que comenzáramos el día de la mejor forma posible y estuvo pendiente en cada momento de todo lo que pudiéramos necesitar durante nuestros días allí. Especial agrademiento por decorarle y comprar un pastel a mi marido el día de su cumpleaños. Es difícil encontrar un trato así de cercano y exquisito hoy en día; por lo que podemos decir que nuestra estancia en Marrakesh ha sido muy especial y una gran parte ha sido gracias a él. Espero que nos podamos volver a ver pronto!!!

Muy buen sitio para quedarte en Marrakesh, no solo por la ubicación sino también por el servicio, Badr es muy amable y está muy pendiente en todo momento, es todo lo que puedes esperar cuando vas a otro país y buscas un sitio en el que sentirte cómodo, el Riad es tranquilo y perfecto para desconectar, el desayuno es rico y variado, se puede llegar caminando a los sitios turísticos, en general el personal muy amable y dispuesto a ayudarte con cualquier cosa.

The Riad is nice and the host, Badr, very responsive. I could be in touch and discuss about our plans during the stay in advance. Badr was also very helpful in arranging local excursions for us. They prepared a good Moroccon breakfast every morning and we were also pleased to be able to use the Riad's kitchen and cutlery for personal meals, when needed.

Would have liked the rooms to be able to have more natural lighting. Currently, as the windows open towards the courtyard, it's difficult to leave them open to let the lights in. However, that's just how Riads are built to keep them cool, given the Moroccon hot conditions.

Badr is a great host. He is very kind and helps you with everything. The swimming pool is nice to cool down. The breakfast is every morning different. Our room was clean and we got every day clean towels.

Pequeño riad muy tranquilo y bonito su relación calidad-precio es de 10 Bard es un encanto servicial y su té y desayuno de los mejores su ubicación es muy buena para excursiones y taxi ya que a sólo un par de minutos hay paradas de recogida y taxi y a sólo unos 15 minutos andando de la plaza principal atravesando la medina y disfrutando de sus tiendas y el típico bullicio de marrakech sin duda volveré sin duda

Amazing location and even better service! The Riad is perfectly situated—close enough to the souks and Jemaa el-Fnaa for easy access, but far enough from the main road to be peaceful. The transition from the narrow alleys to the stunning, open interior of the Riad is a "wow" moment you won't forget. ​Rooms are clean and the breakfast is fresh and delicious. The true heart of this Riad, however, is Badr. From the moment we arrived in our taxi and were trying to find our way, he was there to guide us in. He went above and beyond, recommending the best local eateries and honest shops for rugs. He checked in on us every night and even messaged to ensure we made it home safely after our trip. I’ve traveled the world, but Badr is easily the best host I’ve ever met. His kindness is the reason we will be coming back!

The bathroom could do a little work with regards to sealing the corners of the shower glass wall and sink corners. That caused the water to come out to the floor a bit. The staff hoever cleaned it daily. A little fix can make the experience even more better and less work on the staff too.

Riad 22 is a charming, sunlit Riad located within a short walking distance from most key attractions. It was very easy to navigate to and from the main square. Badr was an amazing host - He arranged our transportation from the train station, gave wonderful recommendations for dinner and different experiences and even checked on us while we were out for all day excursions. Very kind person who goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. While we visited, the temperature in Marrakech went up to 40C/104F but the riad became our refuge when we couldn’t stay out any longer. Even with our room on the top floor, our room was cool and comfortable in the hot days. The breakfast was delicious and the staff that works with Badr clearly put as much care into their work as he does. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. It was a great first experience in Marrakech. We will be back!

Petit-déjeuner très copieux! Vue avec le rooftop sur la ville et l'Atlas. La disponibilité du personnel et notamment un grand merci à Badr pour les conseils, recommandations de Marrakech. La proximité avec la Médina et le Souk tout en étant dans une rue calme.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo riad per una sola notte, ma l'esperienza è stata davvero piacevole. La struttura è piccola ma molto carina, intima e accogliente. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Badr, che è stato straordinariamente gentile e si è preso cura di noi in modo estremamente caloroso, facendoci sentire i benvenuti fin dal primo momento.

The property was very close to the main square and it still had its own quietness. It was very peaceful and a very homely feeling. The host Badr is very helpful and even informed us about the attractions nearby. The breakfast is to die for, the flat breads are delicious and the service is very on point

A riad házigazdája, Badr a megérkezésünk pillanatától mindenben segített, igazi guide-unk volt. A riad jó elhelyezkedésű, szép, hangulatos és tiszta. A szoba is ízléses és kényelmes volt. Az ágy és a párnák kiválóak.

It was a friendly Riad and the manager Badr was just amazing, he would check in with me whilst I was out as we were two females alone and would do anything to help make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Whilst the rooms etc were clean I think the sink and taps could do with replacing in some of the bathrooms.

Ενα εξαιρετικό κατάλυμα μέσα στη μεδίνα. Το βρήκαμε πολύ εύκολα με gps και δεν μπερδευτήκαμε καθόλου. Πολύ κοντά σε όλα τα σουκ και στην κεντρική πλατεία σημείο αναφοράς. Το ριάντ είναι πανέμορφο παραδοσιακό αλλά σύγχρονο και έχει και πισίνα. Το δωμάτιο τεράστιο και πολύ άνετο. Το πιο βασικό απ' όλα είναι ο ιδιοκτήτης ο Badr ίσως ο πιο ευγενικός και καλός άνθρωπος που έχω συναντήσει σε ταξίδια και απίστευτα εξυπηρετικός. Μας είδε ως ανθρώπους ως φίλους και όχι τυπικά ως πελάτες. Αν επιστρέψω στο Μαρακές σίγουρα θα έρθω πάλι εδώ!

Un accueil sans faille, Bader a le don de tout de suite faire qu'on se sent chez soi dès le seuil de la porte franchie. Le riad est tel que décrit, parfaitement fonctionnel, très calme, décoré avec soin et goût, piscine, terrasse... 👌🏼

I recently stayed at this beautiful Riad in Marrakech and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect — easy to reach from the airport and just a short walk from the city center. The traditional Moroccan décor immediately immerses you in the local atmosphere, making the stay even more special. The host welcomed us with the traditional Moroccan tea ritual and gave us great recommendations on where to eat and what to visit. We truly felt cared for and warmly looked after throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, abundant, and entirely traditional — something we really appreciated. Despite our very early departure, the host woke up to greet us and even prepared a packed breakfast for us. It was an unexpected and thoughtful gesture that made a big difference. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

What can i say?! This stay was very Special. Badr was probably one of the best hosts I had in my life! He was so caring, always checking on us, always helping us with transportation, giving very helpful recommendations and even made us a breakfast bag on the day we needed to leave early. Thank you Badr and the whole team! You really made us feel like home 🙏🏽

Could have been a tad cleaner. Room wasn’t cleaned every day. I don’t know if that was usual or an oversight

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au Riad 22, notamment avec toute l'attention dévouée de Badr, et sa petite et discrète équipe. Tout d'abord l'emplacement était idéal pour nous, situé à 5 min de l'entrée des Souks  à l'opposé de la place Djemaa El fna, l'endroit était calme et quelques restos sympathiques, au très bon rapport qualité prix. Notre chambre au RDC (bougainvilliers), pour 3 était dans un style traditionnel, sans chichi. Petit bémol pour l'humidité qui restait dans la chambre, probablement en raison de la  petite piscine juste à proximité. Mais nous pouvions faire sécher notre linge et serviettes sur la grande terrasse plein soleil et avec canapés et parasols. Le patio où nous prenions les petits déjeuner toujours copieux, était très intimiste, élégant. Le riad est de taille familial. L'important à retenir est la qualité de l'accueil de Badr qui sait être présent, prévenant et discret.

Petit bemol : La chambre restait humide malgré la chaleur sèche, probablement en raison de la piscine à proximité.
