Reviewed Nov 18, 2025This is a good cozy hotel, nothing to fancy just right at a great price. I am an avid cyclist and stayed there for cycling events when in that area (they let you take your bike in the room). This year I reserved a room and on the day of my reservation had an accident that prevented me from staying. Even though it was against their booking policy, they told me that if they were able to rent the room they would give me a refund to help me with the expenses. Couple of days later I got a call asking how I was doing and told me that they would give me the refund, they did not have to do that but they did and are very grateful. Thank you!

Reviewed Nov 5, 2025Every time I go to Mayagüez I end up staying in Posada Colonial. People there are very friendly and they make you feel welcome. After work I know I’m gonna have a pleasant rest there. That’s why I keep on returning when need to stay in Mayagüez.

Reviewed Sep 22, 2025The unique hotel that all the staff are treating equally. The room are very clean everything at the Posada El Colonial in Mayagüez are equal or better than a 5, 4, 3, 2, star. The Colonial is 10 time much better. I love this small hotel full of positive vibes. Anibal, Heidi, Ash, Danny y Sebastian are the staff of the front Desk. They are 5 star. As well the housekeeping department all of them are a blessings. The owners are awesome.

We did not get that much time to explore the areas nearby but I like the brochures they had. We are definitely coming back with more time to explore more.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2025This Hotel was so peaceful. My Room was for a single person with all the comfort one person needs. The Staff I can’t even start to say are amazing. There was this older gentleman at the front desk when I check in he was so nice he took the time to give me a tour and history of this hotel. I loved it learn a lot about the hotel if you like History and looking for a quiet place this is the hotel. What I loved about the hotel is literally steps away from the Plaza and Alcadia. For those who likes to celebrate Christmas in Mayaquez I would definitely start reserving now. My recommendation for this Hotel perhaps using the side parking for small pool.

La atencion de los empleados desde que llegue hasta que me fui fue super. La programacion de la tele estuvo muy bien con mucha variedad. El precio de la habitacion tambien estaba bien bueno. Tiene cerca muchos lugares para comer que no hay necesidad de ir en carro.
