The rooms were so quiet, even though the resort was full, you didn't know it. The views were stunning and watching the fire pits on the beach at night was amazing! I could have sat on the deck all day!

It would have been perfect if the chairs on the deck had foot rests and also blankets for the patio would be awesome too. The TVs were a little hard to figure out, better instructions would be helpful. Also, I loved the dog bowls and treats, however asking what size of dog someone is bringing so that they toys were usable would be a great touch as we had small dogs.

All the staff are very friendly, especially the manager, who accommodated our last-minute requests to make my family more comfortable. The hotel is small but very comfortable and clean. The location is wonderful—right across from the beach and just steps from the town center. The pool area is lovely; my children spent almost their entire stay there. Beach walks are my favorite, as the view is always beautiful, no matter the time of day. We always travel with our dog, and the accommodation is pet-friendly; the best feature is the pet washing station, which is incredibly helpful after a walk on the beach.

Brak suszarki, żelazka, brudne okna i lustro - rozmazane. Suszarka została przyniesiona po telefonie na recepcję.

La camera era splendida. Balconcino che si affaccia sulla spiaggia con vista fantastica sull’Haystack Rock. Bagno con ampia doccia, vasca doppia e tv! La struttura offre molti servizi come biscotti e gelati gratuiti, falò sulla spiaggia e biciclette per girare il paese, che dista comunque quattro minuti a piedi. La piscina e la palestra sono pulite e aperte fino a tardi.

This hotel is wonderful so many reasons! Location is ideal (right on the beach in Cannon Beach) - great views. The rooms are clean & well maintained — and really thoughtfully set up with useful amenities: microwave, refrigerator, sink, great stall showers, motion-activated nightlights, and plenty of outlets for charging. And the front desk people are helpful & friendly. We’ve stayed here winter & summer - both great experiences.

Just a lovely hotel. The nightly campfire was so much fun. We appreciated the activities and the amenities. Love the cookies and coffee and tea in the lobby. Very convenient for beach, restaurants and downtown shopping.

Amazing location, especially if you have an ocean facing room in the building that is closest to the beach. Room and amenities were too notch and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, especially Zack from the front desk. Would absolutely recommend and come back.

It is not cheap, especially in the high season but worth it if you want to treat yourself. We have been billed weirdly for too many things but the staff has been helpful in sorting it out. We are still waiting to get that sorted.

Wonderful hotel in an incredible location. Staff were great and the hotel itself was amazing. We had an amazing couple of days to start our trip down the Pacific Highway.

The perfect spot! Loved everything about my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, my room was spacious, clean, and even had an ocean view that I was not expecting. I would definitely stay here again!

We traveled out to the West Coast to visit our son in Seattle, and then drive down the coast to San Fran. Our first stop was in Cannon Beach and we stayed at this Resort. What an absolutely gem of a choice. The Resort was top notch, and we were treated very well by the staff. They upgraded our room to an ocean view, which, from our balcony, looked exactly like the picture for the site. They offered a community bonfire, which we did not attend, but walked along the beach and noticed numerous private bonfires with people having fun. The attached restaurant The Wayfarer was booked (should have made reservations), but they suggested the Pelican Restaurant which was only a few blocks away. It was booked as well because of the upcoming holiday, but we only had to wait 10 minutes or so. Food was excellent and staff was very attentive. Walk back to the Resort for sleep. The bed was plush and comfortable. No outside noise to bother us. We both said that we would come back to Cannon Beach just to stay at this Resort. And, oh, by the way, the town has walkable cute shops where we spent a little too much on local goods.

This resort was great. We had a basic oceanfront room with king bed. The room was so well appointed with plenty of storage (rare in a hotel!), really nice bathroom, comfortable bed. Gas fireplace. Very clean. It exceeded my expectations. The only thing to be aware of is that I didn’t realize the view would be obstructed by a building. We were technically oceanfront and could see the ocean out in one direction, but were right behind another row of rooms and could not see haystack rock (or anything in that direction). It was still nice but not what I expected for a $650/night oceanfront room and it wasn’t mentioned in the room description.

This location was exceptional. Easy access to the beach, and the view was incredible. The staff were all fabulous. Front desk was helpful and always smiling. Snacks were provided. Parking was great. Rooms were comfortable.

Halls and stairway were very smelly. Not sure why. They seemed much older than the rooms. Perhaps the rooms had been modernized and updated, and the halls haven’t caught up yet? They just kind of aged the place needlessly, because everything else is fabulous.

- make sure you request a beachfront room or a room on a higher level for a view/balcony. A beachfront standard king room with a balcony and a standard king room with a porch overlooking the parking lot are priced the same but the value is wildly different.

Surfsand is a perfect place to stay to experience the best of Cannon Beach. The staff are wonderful and professional and friendly. They go above and beyond to make your stay special. There are so many extra touches like the beach bonfire, ice cream social, and chocolate chip cookies - these are done so tastefully so you can join in or not, depending on your choice. Equally perfect for couples and families, with the most stunning view from many rooms, beautifully appointed rooms with local artwork, and direct access to the beach, Surfsand is Oregon coast paradise. Haystack Rock makes the view even more stunning and is a short stroll away. You will want to come back again and again.

The front desk staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating from the moment we arrived. When I mentioned that it was my wife’s birthday, they surprised us with a bottle of wine, which was such a thoughtful touch. This was her first stay here, and she absolutely loved every minute of it. Our room had everything we needed and more. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean each night was the perfect natural sound machine. The morning staff was also kind enough to offer us a late checkout, which we appreciated so much and allowed us to enjoy our stay a little longer. One of the highlights was being able to bring our two dogs with us. Watching them enjoy the beach was incredibly special, and having them comfortably stay with us in the room made the trip even more memorable. We also spoke with our housekeeper, Elfaga, to make sure she knew we had arranged a late checkout, and she was so warm and friendly. We truly appreciate all of the hard work that goes into making the rooms so clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Thank you to the entire staff for such a wonderful experience. We would absolutely love to come back again!

No privacy, you can hear your neighbors. Door closing from other rooms were very loud.

I had occasion to stay with my family at this property for 5 nights while recently attending a medical conference. It adjoins Cannon Beach with excellent beach access and views of the rock formations. Some rooms with stunning views of the beach and rocks, some with virtually no view at all. Staff was generally gracious and helpful. My room was not very impressive to say the least. Very small and sparsely furnished, no dedicated work area or desk. Price of the room greatly exceeded the value. Based on price alone I would not return to this property. I certainly do not mind paying for expensive lodging and frequently stay in such properties. However the value of the accommodation must be consistent with the price and this property certainly was not.

The view was phenomenal. I could take a bath and look at the ocean, watch the sunset. Quick walk to Haystack Rock for tide pooling. The bed was comfortable and our stay was relaxing. Aveda products in the bathroom. Welcome beverage for all guests, I got a local beer.

The tablet to order room service wasn't working and neither was our phone.

Front desk staff was more than amazing and accommodating, welcoming us with free drinks, cookies, and local recommendations for food and activities. We chose an ocean front suite, and it exceeded our expectations. Plenty of space out on the balcony to comfortably sit 4-5 people with a magnificent view of Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach, and of course the North Pacific. Room was very clean and had tons of space. I feel like we could have entertained 6-8 people in the room due to the large fridge/kitchenette, the dining table for 6, the couch and the balcony. The bedroom and bathroom were very, very nice and comfortable and felt like a 4-star hotel for sure. 2-minute walk to Wayfarer restaurant where you have to get the crab bake! About a 5 min walk to Pelican Brewing down the street. Haystack Rock is about a 5-10 min walk on the beach to the tide pools. We also saw Elk at sunset along the beach! 1000% will be staying here again when we visit Cannon Beach.

0.5 mile walk to downtown Cannon Beach but if you drive a car there is more than plenty of parking downtown and it's about a 3-minute drive to get there.

We had a wonderful stay at Surfsand Resort. We were there with family and not only was the room very comfortable but the beach in front of the resort was lovely. We saw many birds and sea life….. and dinner at Wayfarer was also an excellent experience.

This is the most expensive hotel we have ever stayed in. I thought/was hoping it would feel more like the splurge it was, but a lot of things felt kind of cheap. And our whole family is exhausted from incredibly noisy neighbors. We could hear every propane word through the thin walls. At 12:30 a.m. we finally asked the front desk to ask them to be quiet. I’m not sure if they did, because it was a while after that before they went quiet.

The television didn’t work. The bed was hard and the occupants upstairs were loud until about 1:00 in the morning. It took about 40 minutes to get 2 desserts delivered from the Restraunt. We had to call them and remind them of our order.

Perfect location and wonderful customer service. You can’t beat the location and if you’re traveling with your dog, it’s definitely doggie approved.

Our room had it's own little balcony with a view of Haystack rock. It was warm and cozy with a delightful electric fire. We enjoyed dining in the nearby restaurants, and strolled along the beach into town one day to indulge in a bit of shopping and more wonderful eats. Great location with wonderful staff, and the hot tub was an extra bonus.

It was an amazing experience. We got up early to go check out the HayStack Rock at low tide early this morning. Great access to the beach.

This stay was unbelievable! Zach at the front desk was kind, helpful, and a true joy to interact with. We could only stay one night but wish we could’ve stayed forever. My fiancé and I tried almost every amenity (indoor hot tub, room service, beach access, etc.) and loved every one. The view of the beach is unreal, whether you’re in the Wayfarer Restaurant or in bed. Though it was cold outside we were able to enjoy the view, even from inside by the fireplace. We can’t wait to come back!!

Our second time at Surfsand for spring break was as wonderful as the 1st time we came last April. We really love the location being able to walk down to the beach, and to town for shopping or restaurants. We used the complimentary shuttle too which was great for the times when the weather was a little wetter. It’s a very relaxing and laid back place, but they think of every detail, and the staff provides quality, friendly & attentive service. We enjoyed the daily fresh-baked cookies, the warm pool & spa, & coziness of our room. Our room was cleaned daily and excellent care was taken each time. The fact we can bring our pup is a huge bonus. Our daughters are always sad to leave which means we’ll absolutely be back! Thank you Surfsand for the amazing stay.

I’ve been a loyal guest of the Surf & Sand Hotel for over twenty years, which is why this most recent stay was especially disappointing. To start, while the newly renovated grounds are undeniably beautiful and a welcome update, the overall level of service has noticeably declined. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of what I’ve come to expect over the years. Despite confirming at the time of reservation that we would not be placed in an accessible room, we were assigned one anyway. This was frustrating, particularly because it had been clearly addressed in advance. The front desk attempted to address this issue but communicated information that was not in fact what was issued at time of check out.  We also arrived with our pet and found that no pet kit had been provided in the room. After calling the front desk, we were told it would be sent up—but it never arrived. Eventually, I had to go down and retrieve it myself. There were several additional issues throughout our stay: The TV had poor connectivity and was difficult to use The Wi-Fi password provided in the login instructions was incorrect There was no housekeeping service during our visit The toilet in our room had ongoing flushing issues Individually, these might be minor inconveniences, but collectively they created a frustrating and disappointing experience. Over the years, I have referred many friends and colleagues to this hotel because of the consistently high standard it once delivered. However, based on this visit, it’s likely we’ll be looking for a different place to stay on our next trip to Cannon Beach.

Great access to everything you need, beach, downtown, restaurants,walkable for all! Room was impressive in its offerings-2 TVs, wonderfully comfy bed and pillows and ample USB Ports throughout! Hotel offerings thru week are a plus, beer tastings,,fresh DELICIOUS COOKIES every afternoon! Also had personable accommodations for canine to include dog treats, ball and a washing station. Only complaint was the availability of functional EV Charging stations. There are 5 total - 3 for Tesla and 2 for others. Of these non Tesla stations only 1 worked. There should also be signage reminding users that there are time limits on staying in the spot so others can charge too. We encountered car that spent 10. Hrs at the charger

Small but the cleaning team kept removing the mat into our room and placing it off to the side to access the elevator and didn’t place it back at the end of their cleaning of the building

The location was fantastic. the kids loved the cookies and ice cream theme day. The pool and hot tub were good. The bathtub in the bathroom was great.

We had someone above us that shook the entire ceiling when they walked and vibrated the ceiling vents. The person was up early and up late. We did not have a proper sleep for all three nights. We have a video, it was horrendous.

We spent just one night here during spring break. The location is ideal, on the beach and within walking distance of the restaurants. We booked a Haystack Rock view room and seeing Haystack from the balcony was perfect!! I like that there is no carpet in the room. The bathroom was very nice and love the soaking tub. The bonfire package was a great add-on and had a great time roasting marshmallows under the stars.

The hotel is perfectly located for access to and views of Cannon Beach. We especially enjoyed the fireplace in our room which was spacious and comfortable.

This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. They did not miss a single detail; our room had a great view of Haystack Rock, a covered deck with chairs, fireplace, large soaking tub and seperate shower stall. Aveda shower products and makeup mirror. We loved the quiet hours to use the hot tub at 7 am. The front desk attendant was super professional and friendly. We feel as if he worked hard to find us a perfect room at a good price.

Nice property, pool, facilities. Came during March Madness. Streaming service was bad. For the money you think you could afford cable or something a little more reliable. Overall it was great.

This was a great resort to stay at, you're right on the beach with views of Haystack rock and the coast. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. I had a room with an oceanfront balcony, and even though it was chilly it was still nice to have my coffee watching the ocean in the morning. At night it's really dark on the beach with great views of the stars. The staff makes you feel immediately welcome when you check in. The cookies they bake up every day are really good too. The resort offers a lot of amenities which is what brought me here and it didn't disappoint. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip back to Cannon Beach.

Perfect location with full balcony view of the ocean and Haystack Rock. Walking distance to the beach. Staff were very friendly and offered us a complimentary drink of choice at check in. Our room was very spacious with a large bathroom which included a tub and walk in shower. Loved the fireplace inside the room. We will be coming back in the near future.
