Reviewed Aug 18, 2026Mooie locatie met een prachtig uitzicht over de (droge (IJssel). Fijne kamer met 'n goed bed en airco hetgeen geen overbodige luxe was ivm de warme dagen tijdens ons verblijf. Genoten van een uitgebreid ontbijt hetgeen op het terras door Esther werd geserveerd! Goede parkeergelegenheid voor de villa of dichtbij op een parkeerterrein. Prachtige omgeving om te wandelen of fietsen!
Ik heb geen opmerkingen.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2025Hotel localizado em uma construção do século XIX, com localização próxima ao Rio ijssel em um dos vilarejos mais simpáticos (senão o mais) da Holanda, a pacata Dieren. Peguei um quarto com a varanda com vista para o Ijssel, que embora um pouco mais caro, valeu muito a pena. A equipe do Hotel é super simpática e solícita, e as acomodações excelentes. Experiência incrível.
Os únicos pontos que poderiam ser melhores é o preço e a qualidade do sinal de Wi-Fi, que poderiam ser melhores. O preço, embora seja compreensível pela beleza do lugar e conforto do Hotel, poderia ser um pouco menor, especialmente por não estar localizado em grandes ce ntros turísticos. O sinal do Wifi de um modo geral era bom, mas perdia a qualidade dentro do quarto. Mas nada que desabone as qualidades do hotel, que superam em muito esses pequenos problemas.

Het onthaal was prima en toen we rond middernacht terugkeerden van een concert van Iron Maiden in Arnhem waren de gastheer en gastvrouw nog wakker en hebben we samen gezellig nog wat gedronken en gekeuveld in het salon. Ook het ontbijt was top!

Der Koch, der ein geniales Menü gekocht hat (das allerbeste Essen in ganz Holland!!!), war so flexibel, dass er auch am nächsten Tag auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen ist. Hier hat alles gestimmt- es war ein richtiges Vergnügen und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

The property itself is beautifully maintained, with stunning views from the deck where I enjoyed my breakfast each morning. The sunshine filtering through without being too harsh added a perfect touch of warmth, making it an idyllic start to the day. The villa’s location is steeped in history, situated right by the river with its charming tobacco room—a nod to its trading past. Watching the barges pass by was a delightful experience, adding a touch of nostalgia and vibrancy to the mornings. Another highlight was the ‘pony’, a little ferry that shuttles cyclists and cars back and forth across the river to Dieren, right in front of the villa—absolutely charming to watch. The gardens are beautifully kept, and the whole atmosphere of the place is peaceful and inspiring.
If parking is important to you, I recommend arranging it in advance if possible, as parking in that part of Dieren can be quite limited. If the villa isn’t fully booked, you may be able to secure a spot nearby. Otherwise, be prepared for a bit of a walk—which, to be fair, is quite scenic

The facilities are of the highest quality, with every detail seems to have been carefully considered, creating a truly enjoyable experience. My room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed was super comfortable. It was immaculately clean and quiet. The team at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The views from Villa Veertien offer stunning panoramas of the IJssel River and the serene countryside. Watching the shipping traffic glide along the river from the comfort of my room was unique. The wide windows framed the picturesque scenes of the river, with fields stretching peacefully into the distance.

Not the usual breakfast buffet. The bedroom was great with all kinds of interesting angles, and a top window. We also loved sitting in the relaxing room with an internal balcony. We have been reading there a book and drinking some tea.
They don't have an own restaurant. So we went somewhere in the neighborhood for diner.
