Kouch Chalets

Park was beautiful and weather perfect. Accomodations were exactly as stated and clean. Owners, Guy and Marilyn were very nice and most helpful. Would highly reccomend this location.

Short stay. Didn't have time for sightseeing

Everything as described, clean, a regular and a thicker pillow, plumbing sound was loud when being used by the next room.

It was the perfect place for us to stay, quite, clean, well organized and we were surprised that it had a little freezer as well as a fridge. I'm hoping to go back next year and stay longer.

Once again a wonderful host made our time as comfortable as possible. We had a few needs and they met them. The cottage was clean and well stocked. Setting is just wonderful. We will return.

We had an absolutely lovely one night stay, and we so wish we had longer! Gorgeous little cabin with a bedroom upstairs, with comfortable bed and linens. Bathroom was downstairs and had a great shower/tub. Kitchen was well stocked and the loving room was comfortable for lounging. Had a magnificent screened porch on front. Easy walking to the park. Highly recommend!

Location

Property was well stocked for cooking, with great phone and internet reception. Close to grocery store and gas station. Despite being booked for the long weekend it was extremely peaceful and quite. I didn't clearly ready my email about the checkin end time and arrived in a panic. They were amazing (responded right away to my email with an email and phone call) and ensured me we would still be ok to check in. The fact that firewood is included is an extra nice bonus! My kids are already asking when we can go back.

Very Convenient if you plan to go to the park. Had a great stay.

It’s beautiful and clean but consider bringing food supplies and things you can cook or bbq. No shops or restaurants nearby and the ones within driving distance are closed early. Otherwise the place is beautiful and lots of nature to see. I will stay there again but with a group.

Staff was accommodating. The room was very spacious and comfy.

I liked the place. Lots of room and kitchen well equipped. Two-story place with just the bedroom upstairs. Would have been nice to have the bathroom also upstairs for those who need to get up in the middle of the night and prefer not to descend then climb stairs at that point. Also, I am always surprised by lodging that does not provide a clock at the bedside. This place does not provide one.

A great spot to discover the national park and have a relaxing stay. The garden is great and the rooms as well. Also very clean. We highly recommend it and would stay there again, no doubt!

Wonderful chalets, exceptionally well maintained and clean. Fully equipped kitchen. Walking out into the forests of a national park or sit in screened porch and enjoy the evening. A very peaceful, beautiful place to stop. Easy access to nearby grocery store. Very welcoming staff. Great place to stop with a dog.

We loved that it felt like a community with safe spaces for our kids to play with lots of communal spaces for ya to hang out after a day on the trails. The kitchenette was perfect for making meals for our family. We would definitely come back to this area and to the chalets.

Convenient to bike trails

Wonderful stay in Kouchibouguac, right beside the National Park. Very convenient for wandering around the park. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice grounds with hammocks, fire pits and children’s play area.

Great place, very friendly. The owners thought of everything you may need. Only issues is the upstairs bedrooms are very hot. I do see it looks like they are working on installing mini splits. Main level is nice and cool with the A/C. Bring food not many spots to purchase things you may need. They have 2 mini I fridges and 2 small freezers. Full size Bbq with propane and fire pits with wood included. Very handy to the national park. I loved our stay would stay again.

The property is very close to the national park and is in great condition. I enjoyed the two nights stay with my mother and my son. It is a lovely summer cottage experience. Definately i will come back again next time Guy, the property manager, is also very helpful. He offered us a ride to Rexton so we can catch the maritime bus to Moncton. Thank you very much.

Great location

We found this place to be overpriced by about $60. This was just a cheaper motel room that was not what we expected for the price. Also, we didn't realize that the price was in US Dollars and we could not receive a refund (noted in the motel listing). Was very disappointing. Just the night before we had much better for $120 CAD.

Great location, the cabin was lovely and equiped with most everything you would need. There is only one small mirror in the bathroom and the bathroom is small. I would have liked to see a stand up mirror in the loft bedroom or general area. Lots of tables. The front burner on the stove didn't work correctly...had to use the back one. Staff was excellent. Would stay again. :)

Stayed right after the hurricane, everything was as it should be. Never saw the host, he was busy dealing with the clean up. He was available by phone to answer any questions.

The structure has four chalets and one motel, where I stayed.It needs to be thoroughly renovated. In the room there was not even a little table and ony one chair. Cleanliness average. Acceptable for one night, not for a confortable stay.

Good location

These cabins are a great base for exploring Kouchibouguac National Park. There is a trail leading directly from the property that is the same as the paths winding through the park and it's an easy 1.5 km walk/run/cycle to the visitor centre or connecting paths. It's around 12kms to the beachs on the paths, an easy drive though.

Loved everything above this place. Rented a cabin which was extremely clean, well equipped, comfy bed, good free wifi and loads of free fire wood. Beautiful beach and cycling path close by.

The cabin was exceptionally clean and convenient for my visit to Kouchibouguac NP. It was well laid out and had a full set of dishes, plus two mini fridges, a microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The bathroom was updated and had lots of fluffy towels and amenities usually found in nice hotels. The sleeping area was clean and also updated, though very warm, as it was upstairs and the windows were closed when I arrived on a hot afternoon. There were fans both upstairs and down, as well as a small a/c to cool the lower floor. The common areas around the buildings were inviting and there was a play area for small children. There was only about a 12 minute drive to the campgrounds within the park, where the rest of my family was staying. I’ll return here next visit, for sure!

Cons; The pic on hotels.com is not what we got. We got a cheap motel room. We were made to believe that the standard room was a cabin and it had a pic of the cabin. Very deceiving. The owner stated that this is Expedia's fault. He should be following with them if that's the case. The mattress felt like it was 30 yrs old. I almost rolled off of it trying to get up. The doorway has an outside landing that is sloped to the ground, very dangerous. We were told that the people near us are regulars and non smokers. Wrong. We couldn't open our window because the smoke drifted in the room. The bathroom was fairly clean but on closer look, not so much. Advertised firepit was quite a distance away and for group use. Recycling is non existent. PROS; The owner was helpful in that he brought over a BBQ tor us to use. We couldn't get it close to the room however, he was afraid that others would want to use it. Not our problem. Again the add said BBQ included. So this is a pro and a con.

Super nice staff, the place was nice and clean, and right beside a gorgeous national park!

The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed for a winter visit, including a fire pit and wood. The staff were very friendly and welcoming - our dog even got a treat bag with a cute bandana and dog biscuits and they dropped off a Valentines bag for us. These were nice additional touches that made us feel welcome. The cabins are right beside Kouchibouguac National Park. You can ski, walk, fat bike or snowshoe on the park trail that is adjacent to the property. It’s a great spot.

Not enough water pressure for taking shower but otherwise I will be sure to return

We absolutely loved our stay! The place was so cute and comfy but still lots of space! Definitely have that cottage feel. Brand new bbq, fire pit, chairs and garbages close by. Screened in porch which was amazing! Lots of dishes and supplies. Beds were not super comfy but still didn’t wake up sore! We will definitely be back with our fur baby :)

We really liked how clean the room way.rhe ac was a bit disappointing as we couldn't asjust it. The wifi wasnt working an not able to connect.but this place met our needs a place to sleep for the night. Very quite, im sure the time a year played a part in that

Loved the cabin. Bedroom had skylight which was nice. Kitchen was stocked. Bbq on front porch Only thing wrong was the weather 😕 couldn't have a bonfire. Def come back

Lovely, peaceful, and quiet. We loved the fire pit with free firewood, and the deck out at the back of our cabin. The kitchen was small but efficient. The TV was strangely placed, so one had to lie on the bunk or watch from a "dining room" chair - but we did not come to watch TV. Your place is beautifully situated near Kouchibouguac, and we definitely want to return. The shower in our cabin was rather small, and the floors needed mopping. However, the beds were comfortable and the ceiling fans were much appreciated. Definitely this is a nice place to relax and refresh.

Loved having our own kitchenette

Planned a 3 day stay but did not stay there. Reserved a cottage but got a motel room instead.Canvelled, but hey charged us full amount. Now we have to fight to get our money back. Worse vacation ever!

Cute rustic cabins right at the south entrance to the park -one of the trails is right behind the resort. 2 burner stove, refrigerator, microwave and kettle-all dishes, pots and pans etc are on site. There is a convenience store within walking distance. The staff is super friendly too!

I stayed at the end of a row of modest motel-like rooms (not in a cabin pictured) which was very clean and quiet, and great value for the price. I chose it because this great family-oriented resort is close to Kouchibouguac National Park. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I will stay ther again.

Pleasant trip, clean and roomy cottages. Really enjoyed the resort being so close to the parks.

They just got new beds in the hotel rooms and honestly it was the best sleep I've had in a long time. Due the covid i only got to interact with two members of staff but they were both extremely lovely. 😊

We were suppose to have a BBQ but our loft didnt have one. The beds were very uncomfortable. There was no air conditioner on the second floor and as a result the bedroom was extremely hot. There were dead bugs squished on the walls and everything was just very old and wore. The loft we were in needed some serious renos, very old and dirty.

We stayed in the condo cottage and it was a great size. Loved the loft bedroom! So close to the national park and they were able to direct us to a couple of restaurants nearby for dinner. The cleaning could use an upgrade. The headboard upstairs had a fair amount of dust and what I think were sprinkles from a donut. We didn’t complain however, I just wiped it down myself. Also there were no toiletries except one package of bar soap so make sure to bring shampoo and conditioner.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway. The cottages have everything you need for a short or long term stay, including comfortable beds! The BBQ and screened in porch (for enjoying meals without becoming the meal for those pesky mosquitos) were an added bonus as were the firepit and free wood from the woodpile near the office. The resort even provides the very comfortable chairs for handing out around the fire. The cottages and grounds are well maintained and the owners/staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The resort is quiet and peaceful. And of course the location right next to the Kouchaibaquac National park is perfect. We will definitely be back.
