Provider-sourced guest reviews.
room was ok it was located in the basement so it had a musty smell. Door was very hard to open, bathroom door did not close. felt uncomfortable do to the dampness. entrance way to the room was located next the storage and tools room. Grounds could use some TLC. Very close to downtown Brockville and water front. large parking area. Sadly this business is up for sale. kitchen area was ok. Only 1 coffee mug.
Dated property with some things not working: lamp didn't turn on, sink didn't drain, noisy AC, dirty windows...Needs a refresh.
I recommend
Location was amazing and walkable to all restaurants, waterfront, train station tunnel, etc. Staying in this heritage hotel was such a delight and we even got to chat with the owner who was a fountain of information.
This was a unique stay in a quaint hotel. Close to waterfront and main street. Really enjoyed.
This place comes recommended, especially for an extended stay since it has a kitchen. The garden patio was lovely in spite of some carpentry in progress. I would suggest a few more comfortable deck chairs. The carpet in the bedroom needs replacement, but otherwise, the kitchen and washroom were clean, which is more important. The air con was noisy but when I turned off the bedroom unit, the sitting room unit kept the whole place comfortable during warm June days. Communication for self check-in was clear, and there is somewhere to store luggage at the end of a visit (I took the train to Brockville). This place is centrally located in a town with good clothing shops, an interesting museum and lovely views of the St Lawrence. It is walkable to restaurants and the train station.
Unique property. It gives you a glimpse of history.
The bed was comfortable and the room had all we could need. But the windows couldn't open, which made the room very stuffy. Plus the air-conditioner was not put through a window, so when we use it, the room become much hotter until we realized the problem and shut it. But the room was even stuffier because the windows couldn't open.
Extremely old! Very unique! Needs renovations. No elevator which is difficult for older individuals to carry luggage. Beautiful location.
Stayed here recently for 1 night when in town going to the Brockville Arts Center. We’ve stayed here probably 4 or more times before. We were in the Caesar & Cleopatra room which was on the top floor. We’ve stayed in this room twice before I think. Suite is big, comfortable and has everything we needed. The only downside is that the bed was a queen size (which is what they have in all suites) and we’re used to a king size at home. If we’re in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate staying here.
The room was very charming and we loved the fire place the room comes with. We highly recommend this place.
historic property
Beautiful property. Room was very clean andwell stocked. Enjoyed our stay.
The Noble Suites is super beautiful! All the rooms are unique and they have lots of character. We will definitely be back. This was our third time staying at this place. Perfect location and very clean. We stayed in "The parlour this" :)
Spacious and historic place at a great price. Really an interesting space. Kitchen and apartment well stocked with lots of coffee, tea and all the stuff you might need for an extended stay. Well located downtown to walk or short drive anywhere you need.
It was for a hockey tournament.
We liked the historical building. It is unique and our suite has a beautiful view of the river. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.
Loved the historic building, lots of room, great location!
Several housekeeping deficiencies. Landlord was aware of TV not functioning because of provider issue but no message left in unit. Would no stay again.
What an absolutely beautiful find! Built in 1840, the decor is true to those Victorian times and is lovely. We booked the Garden Suite, so that we would have our own entrance, making it easier to take our dog out for walks, and it was perfect for us. The bed was very comfortable, with plenty of bedding and pillows. Having a little kitchenette was great, because we were able to make our own snacks and breakfast. However, it was very tiny and could use to have a large cutting board to place over the sink to increase the workspace. The added amenities of tea and coffee (see the website for more details) made our stay just that much better. Housekeeping in the corners, nooks and crannies could have been better, and there was a need for some maintenance in the unit, so that did take away from the WOW factor for us. Hence the 4 stars for the room. We only had one night at the Suites but would stay again if these things are addressed. If you love heritage buildings and period design, don't miss this place. It's with walking distance of all of the historic downtown and many restauran
Very private, clean, seemed secure, lovely touch with history context of the building included. Perfectly located to do all of the touristy things.
This is a great spot, close to most attractions and restaurants. We stayed 3 nights in the Romeo and Juliet suite. The kitchen is very functional, the amenities are numerous and fully and clearly documented, but every room is special in a way: some uneven floor, some upside down light switches, running cables everywhere, tight drawers and doors, etc. All is fully functional and welcoming ! We had a great stay, yet be warned: bring your sense of humour !
We found our stay to be lovely. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The period pieces mixed with modern amenities and added extras ( coffee, tea and milk etc) added to our enjoyment. The location was great as well. Our host Henry was very charming and helpful. We liked it so much we stayed again on our route home!
I totally could have stayed a week. That’s how comfortable I was. The Judge’s Chambers suite was large, private and very comfortable.
Loved everything about it. We'll be back again!!
Good location. Nice property. Good communication. Clean. Quite. Good layout. Value for what you’re getting. Older building. Carpet on stairs in main area had a bit of a musty smell. No problem parking. Secure building. Overall had a good stay.
We stayed in the Judges Chambers. We enjoyed staying in a 19th century period room that had largely been restored in terms of furnishings. There were lots of detailed instructions in the room about the rules and what the area had to offer. The location is excellent, near to downtown and the waterfront. The kitchen was well stocked with coffees, teas, cream, etc as well as a good selection of cutlery, cooking utensils, pots, etc. The modern conveniences and decor installed when first renovated in the early 1990s (kitchen, bathroom) are tired and dated and some of the original and modern reproduction furniture could use some repair. I sense that the property would benefit from new energy. We were a bit disappointed that the host tried to shame us into tipping the cleaning staff ("they are single moms") as we felt that he was expecting us to offset possible exploitative wages. At these prices I expect the staff to be properly compensated by management.
Our stay was horrible. We were put in a dank cellar accessed through some kind of maintenance corridor. The rooms shown prior to booking look fine but if you end up in the cellar you will be horrified. Its underground with one exit so its also a fire trap. False advertising at its worst. The Expedia rating is still 10 despite 2 complaints. They gave me a refund but thats not what I want. I want the false advertising to stop. Ignore my warning at your own risk.
Lots of space for the two of us. Bathroom was very modern. Full kitchen so if we were staying longer than one night it would have been very helpful. Very nice historic place
Very spacious and clean, quiet easy check-in and out
Its not for everyone but the extras...like great tv options, nice couches, lots of coffee, creamer and a great location make up for it.
Absolutely loved staying in the garden suit. Only a few minor things (didnt impact our stay) that could use attention. -Bathroom could use some TLC. -Wish the kitchen would have had more stuff provided, especially cooking oils and scissors. -Wish the living room AC had guidelines, it was a little warm for my comfort. Other wise such a wonderful unique place to stay amd the owner was lovely to speak with.
Given the age of the building it is understandable, that the rooms wouod have an aged moldy smell. But my gf has breathing issues and found it difficult in the "Judges" room we stayed in. Other than that everything inside the hotel was great. The owner has laminated instructions for use of most items. Can't say the surrounding area was all that pleasant. There is what lloks to have been a bustling restaurant right across the roadbwhich has fencing around it. The sign indicates it closed about 2010.
Lovely and quaint space, very well set up with all the amenities needed (kitchen very well stocked and nice additions of lots of coffee, tea, cream etc). The room was very clean. It is a very old historic building so had some parts to it that were ‘tired’ but very typical in a building of its age. Despite this, the kitchen, bathroom and living space were all very clean and functional. We loved it and will come back!
This property needs big renovations. Our suite 300 should be painted and the wallpaper removed. The couch should be replaced. It is dirty. We didn't dare sit on it. The bathroom and the kitchen are new and very clean. There is no emergency exit in case of fire.
The decor was very unique and the kitchen was well stocked. They had a great variety of coffee, tea etc.
Attention to detail, very welcoming & private. An historic building with lots of character & walkable distance to amenities & sites.😌 Highly recommend!
Beautiful room. Could not ask for better
Lovely large airy space, real milk in fridge a godsend, nice and bright, excellent mattress.
The rooms were so much fun with the different themes, plus we are big fans of older buildings and architecture. I especially enjoyed reading about the history of the house and the renovations which was provided in the room.
Loving the Judge's Quarters, great establishment
We have stayed here several times. The rooms are all themed / decorated differently. Henry (the owner) has tailored each room in a tasteful manner that reflects the building’s era. If you have good hearing, I would not recommend booking rooms on the lower levels, the floors are wood and if a child or dog is playing on the floor above, well you are going to hear it.
We were in Brockville just for the weekend to see a concert at the Brockville Arts Centre. Came in by VIA Rail from Montreal. The hotel is an easy 15-minute walk from the train (although it was -23 at the time), and the Arts Centre is an easy 10-minute walk from the hotel. We had The Judge's Chambers room on the ground floor. Huge, delightfully decorated, spotlessly clean. There is zero ambient noise, but we heard noise from the upper room so next time we'll pick a room on a higher floor. We had time to relax in the room, reading in front of the fireplace. Next time we're in Brockville, we're staying here for sure.
Beautiful historical building with lots of character and charm!
We had a wonderful stay for my birthday! Everything was perfect and we will return in warmer weather.
Stayed in the "Judge's Chamber", an absolutely lovely studio suite. Excellent location, very close to waterfront and only a couple of blocks to downtown. Amazing historic decor, with all the modern conveniences. Kitchenette was convenient. Really enjoyed my stay!
The uniqueness of each room yet modern kitchen were enjoyable.
The judge’s room is very comfortable and well appointed. we would definitely stay here again.
Loved the location and rooms
Olde worlde a nice surprise
Unique suites in a great location. Close to waterfront and downtown shops.
I loved the spacious room and it's classic design. The kitchenette had everything I needed. I would defiantly stay here again. Easy check in.
It was very relaxing.
Wonderful historic building with beautifully decorated theme suites. Close to the waterfront and good restaurants. Great value for the accommodations. Definitely worth visiting. We will be back!
Very convenient in the downtown
Beautiful old building and loved the decor in the Garden Suite.
Great location and easy to walk everywhere to Brockville downtown and waterfront.
We stayed at The Parlour on our last night at Brockville. The room is quaint. I think the whole property needs a good cleaning like power washing and cleaning the nooks and window corners. Good stay though.
We stayed at The Coach House in our first 3 days. I wasn’t expecting we would have the whole unit/house. It’s like the size of our townhouse. The sleeping quarters are upstairs - one master bedroom and an extra room. The decor inside is like being in a cabin but more luxurious. It has its own wifi router and two large TV’s. It was good value for your money.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Noble Suites. Everything was to our liking. What a magnificent old building tastefully decorated. Highly recommend this accommodation.
The Parlour unit was quant, clean and beautiful… highly recommend
My daughter and I had a very comfortable overnight stay. As many state, the location. Is amazingly central practically on the St Lawrence where Tall Ships are. The full moon on the river was amazing. The kitchen is very well equipped for morning coffee, tea, hot chocolate and oatmeal. This isn’t a 5-star for us because: while the bathroom & kitchen are very clean and modern, the sofa bed is low and tired; it is 3 story walk up - in fairness, you are warned on the website. I would stay here again, but on a lower level. It is very self-service.
the property is very central to down town, good parking, beautiful old house.
The only good point about the accommodation is the location, everything is on the doorstep. Unfortunately everything else is a negative. I appreciate that this is an old historical building but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be clean, it is grubby. Some TLC is needed to bring it up to par. Even the complimentary milk and cream were 4 days past their best before date! I couldn’t recommend this property.
Beautiful heritage home!
Rooms are very clean but the entrance way to rooms is very musty smelling.
Yes, I realize that it is a historical building. And, the original foundation was central to the theme but when we walked into the Canadiana Suite and saw that carpet….we were not thrilled. It is beyond needing to be replaced. Two simple changes and future customers will feel at ease. Remove the rugs and use a simple cover on the couch.
Very unique and comfortable
Very spacious, great location, nice having milk provided for cofffee
Charming atmosphere. Will be staying here again
Very nice
The room was amazing, even though I couldn’t see all of the unique rooms I was very impressed by my choice.
We spent 1 night at the Noble Suites in the Romeo & Juliet Suite & we loved the place. It was so comfy, so clean, & reasonably priced. The full kitchen & deck with BBQ were welcome surprises. Plus we appreciated Henry Noble’s attention to detail eg the history of the area & the story of the hotel, the recommendations of local places to eat & things to do in the area, & small but meaningful touches like milk & cream in the fridge for coffee. I wish we could have stayed longer & definitely plan to be back.
The Noble Suites is an old "mansion" on the waterfront that's been converted to hotel rooms. Ample parking, and just a hop to the downtown main drag. Overall quiet location when I stayed. The "secure" front door to the hotel was wide open when I arrived. The key to my room was sitting in the lock of my door, which is apparently standard practice here. I checked every possible hidey-hole when I went inside. There are no curtains or blinds, so it takes some special coordination to dress/undress away from any windows inside this ground floor unit. The windows over the bed are kinda-sorta distorted glass, but not really. I mean you can still see outside pretty clearly. At first blush it seems like a nice room. Look closer and there are a lot of details screaming "aspiring to budget status." Missing molding, old caulking, millipedes. The place was clean enough, I have to say, but the underlying condition seems ripe for infestations. You better believe I checked the bed and sheets for traces of bedbugs. None found, although they probably stay away because the mattress feels like a thrift store special. The kitchenette was well stocked. Lots of dishes, cutlery, etc. Very clean.A Keurig with lots of pods. No creamer until I looked in the fridge and saw already-open cartons of milk and cream. I'm sure it's fine. Two sofas, one leather(ette?) and one cloth. Leather one was confy, other one was sprung. Nice coffee table. LG TV with fully loaded Bell Fibe - nice touch.
Wonderful place, with a lot of charm within a short walk to the St Lawrence River and downtown! Plenty of room with full kitchen, LR and dining area. Bed is comfortable. Felt very comfortable, would highly recommend!
Great location in the heart of downtown brockville nestled close to the water walking distance of local restaurants etc only complaint was there where hairs in the shower and in the pull out couch in the ceasar and cleopatra suite other than that definitely will stay again
Great location and charming design. Spent 3 nights exploring the Brockville area - nice to be able to walk to many nearby restaurants. The view of the St. Lawrence River traffic from the Romeo and Juliet suite was fabulous !
I am one happy dancing and prancing puppy!!! The Noble Suites are in the centre of all the action in Brockville and the smells are truly HISTORICAL!!, quite the smorgasbord , but ultimately it is all about LOCATION humans! The Noble Suites is in the middle of doggie central and I met about a 100 of my brethren and there was much nose to nose interaction. I also a had truly relaxing time at The Coach House, the downtime from all that strutting! So will we be back??? ‘Sure Thing’, my humans are putty in my paws…
Excellent stay at Noble Suites. Nice large room. Lots of great amenities. Room was very comfortable.
Location was fantastic. Could used updated a little bit, while still keeping the old charm. Needs a fan in the bathroom. Could turn pilot light off in fireplace for the summer to save energy.
Very unique. Lovely environment.
Great place . While old very clean . Walking distance to restaurants and water . What can you ask for more?
Unique property in the heart of Brockville.
Pretty unique space!
We are really impressed by this historic property. This rental is really well stocked with everything(from dishes to cutlery and K-cups to milk). This price of this rental is great value...you get a lot for the price. We highly recommend staying here if you are planning a road trip in this area.
Excellent amenities. Thoughtful management.
I like the historic settings and the info it provided in the room.
It was wonderful. The building is full of charm and history. Very clean and neat and our suite had everything including cream, yes, cream, for our coffee and milk in the fridge and a full selection of coffees. We had a view of the river on our private deck. Man, I did not want to leave.
The property is nice and the owner is upgrading as we speak, e.g. a door to balcony was being replaced. We had to check in later since the automated check- in made other people enter our Coach House first....having a live person there would prevent such situations.
Comfortable in all the ways that really matter! Loved our stay here, our suite was roomy and well equipped. Good onsite parking, walking distance to waterfront attractions, lots of shops and restaurants. Kitchen was well stocked with coffee, tea, etc. I always bring my own cream and an extra coffee because I hate that powdered creamer and one cup is not enough. This is the first place I have stayed that actually had real cream and lots of coffee for the morning!! Well done!! Would definitely recommend.
Easy check in and out
Very unique hotel. Would definitely stay again.
Historic building restored to appreciate its period without sacrificing comfort and amenities
Interesting stay
The owner was very helpful in accomodating 2 cars parking and an earlier check-in than listed on Expedia. The unit is well equipped (e.g. kitchen, entertainment, wireless, etc.), spacious and in a very central location. Having said that the property is "tired". We experienced a very musty smell in the entryway, peeling wall paper, unsecured light fixtures and stained rugs in our unit.
Love the old style design of the building and the room was amazing took you back in time was a pleasure staying here definitely come back.
Excellent location, steps from marina and shops. We had the Canadian suite, funky, with fine appliances. Nice deck, where we spent most of out time. Henry wrote out a history of the place, including photos and local food and attractions. Check in and out very easy, nice little signs inside with instructions.
Very interesting and historical property located in easy walking distance of the waterfront and all of the main attractions. Comfortable with a great selection of teas and coffees in the room.
It was a great stay! I’ll be back. Sean
Stayed a couple of nights for our anniversary. Really enjoyed the property. Clean and well stocked if you plan on using the kitchen right down to the milk and cream for your coffee or tea. Room was beautiful and quiet. Will definitely be back.
