Delicious meals, i love how you get variety of food and dessert throughout...great location. The staff is always willing to assist, they're all so sweet and friendly.

Struggling to get an uber from the airport to the place...& their shuttle service is quiet costly. But eventually got a ride from a nice Avanza guy, got a discount which was also very nice of him.

We booked the place very early but when we got there, we didn’t get rooms with best views, it was a very disappointing experience

I had a wonderful experience at Blue Merlin. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, and overall professionalism. Needs a serious face lift. Not as advertised on the socials

The rooms were clean actually the resort is extremely clean

Bad service at the restaurant , extremely bad like 2 days we ate in the restaurant with no water for drinks , we had to walk to the bar. I got so iritated the second day and asked for a manager. Resort is for people that want to relax or family wanting to have fun and in extreme comfort , after I spoken to the manager there was a huge difference but I am not impressed at all.

This was truly one for the books! We came here for our honeymoon, and it was the best decision we could have made. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. They made us feel like royalty from the moment we arrived.Who needs Mauritius when you have a place like this in South Africa? The food was absolutely amazing, with so much variety that we never got bored. I loved everything about the Resort ooh what a beautiful birthday I had there, the food 10 0ut of 10 I can't fault anything.

Please the TV in our the room was not clear at all, how I wish at least they had one news channel.

The jacuzzi and spa were exceptional,definitely a 10 out of 10. The experience was relaxing, enjoyable, and exceeded my expectations.

The buffet offered limited options, and most of the dishes contained curry or were quite spicy. It would be great if they could provide a wider variety of meals, including milder options to cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.

The cleanliness in the rooms was excellent. Service rendered at the Bar, Outside Bar and Restaurant during breakfast, lunch, dinner,etc was excellent, all staff are dedicated to serve customers in a very professional way. Even the reception and securities were very good and politely talk to guests. Even the students from reception, Bars and Restaurants were very good and treated us very well.

The staff was the best part about the property. they catered to our needs, always serving with a smile, always willing to help, every single one of them deserves a raise. Amazing people. Love them. The property was clean at all times. But the staff was top tire.

The water was cold at certain instances, then other times it was not even there. They concentrated to renovate the reception and lounges, they look fresh and new, but the rooms and bathroom are really old. The safe was not working we had to call someone to fix it every morning and eventually couldn’t use it.

The entire property is very beautiful with stunning views. Clean rooms, and the food was up to standard.

There was a festival that was sooooo loud and I did not receive a warning about them hosting a festival on the weekend I selected. What was supposed to be a quiet retreat ended up being a loud and chaotic stay.

We spent 3 blissful days at the Blue Marlin Hotel. Spectacular views, delightful staff and good food, all at an affordable price. Their fully inclusive accommodation, food and drinks option offers great value for money.

Views of the beach and pool area. Breakfast box was great and we got massages and used the sauna and jucuzzi facilities which was nice

Food was quite average, very busy on a friday a d saturday night so quite loud music

On our departure date they refused to give us drinks and water saying that we need to pay, and mind you they said it's all inclusive and we don't even take alcohol but they fail to give us soda and water

Amazing stay! The oceanview was stunning, and the food exceeded expectations. The all-inclusive package made everything easy, with great activities included. Loved the heated pool and relaxing evenings at the external bar area. Staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Aircon did not work in the room. Service staff in restaurant area was slow and took forever to get service. Music in all common areas are way to load.

It’s very family friendly. Kids are welcome here and not treated like an inconvenience. The team responsible for looking after kids and their activities are amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The daily activities for the kids and grown ups are a nice touch. The beach is across the road and there is a tuk tuk to take you there as well. We didn’t have a rental car and it there were no Ubers in sight but the resort has a reliable driver who came quickly to take us to the airport at a reasonable price.

The WiFi was non existent in our room. It was fine at the restaurant and other common areas but not in our room. The drinks selection is limited. The bathrooms have windows that open to the corridors so the stink walking past some room is a bit much. The images used for the property are photoshopped for sure. There is a lot of great qualities about the place but not R4,5 pn worth.

Scottburgh has never really recovered. It all looks tatty. The hotel rooms have been revamped and its an attemped at resuccitation. The grounds and facilities are well kept and the food is good. A rose among the thorns. The walkway to the beach looks and feels tatty. The beachfront is tatty and worn .. The coffee station is a disaster in the mornings..you need two of those. The all in is great idea. The hotel is noisy though. The last night was a disaster. The staff is very noisy in the mornings and then at 2am the generators come on. These are located right at the rooms !!! Imagine the noise.. Senior management was not visible ..maybe on leave...not in the style of other dream hotels. Going back? Probably not.

I enjoyed the inclusivity of the resort. Fantastic place for kids of all ages. Great for families.

Some staff members were lazy, it took long for the rooms to be cleaned up. Lack of variety of food, same kinds of food being prepared each day, lack of vegetables. No fruits at the buffet. Very limited time for breakfast, used lots of oil when preparing eggs. Pool staff were not helpful or friendly, didn’t take orders from guests, guests had to leave pool to get drinks. Rooms had no plugs on the bedside only plugs by the table. It is a 3 star resort.

I loved the unlimited drinks, just wish they had more cider options on the sweeter side. Loved the room and the staff were very kind and helpful especially Anele, she was very delightful.

From arrival to checking out, we felt at home every staff member, they service was exceptional top class, shout out to Mr Cele He was always attentive during meals time making our stay extra special, water Aerobics instructor Rita she performed miracles with my partner, she never ever goes inside a swimming pool she made her feel at easy got a crush course of being inside the water, she managed to get her inside the water even participate in the Aerobics with easy, high five to her, Thank you

Walking distance to the beach, they have a decent gym, entertainment was good(the entertainment lady was really fun and friendly), drinks were good with short waiting time.

- 2 times I booked to use the steam room, it wasn’t switched on at the allocated slot, the one time I had to wait 45 min! The other I had to wait 30min - they hand out multiple towels to people and end up running out, how do you give out 4 towels to one person? - all inclusive with an empty fridge in the room, I asked the housekeeping lady for 2 extra bottles of water, she said they are only allowed to out 2 bottles per room! - the jacuzzi was dirty at our slot, we ended up only using the sauna(photo attached) -food felt very repetitive,if you have ulcers and can’t stomach curry, there isn’t exciting options for you, almost all protein sources were fried.

We were in room 132 and the fridge and aircon wasn't working too well but we used the ceiling fan, opened the window when we were in the room and we got cold water at meal times

While some staff members were amazing, treatment from some staff members was unacceptable. All was reported by clients but no action was taken since day 1 till departure after spending 5 nights there Following engagements with others, it seemed like it’s a norm for such treatment from some of the staff members depending on who you are etc.

Struggles with wifi connection

It’s an all in one, all the activities and food were in one location. The staff was mostly friendly and kind, quick to assist- almost treating the guest like a vip.

We requested for housekeeping, they cleaned but not everything, left the dirty cups in the room. I was also told I’d be getting a special called for something as a guest, we never received that call.

Great stay Just hard to get transport to the airport if you didn’t bring your car but all in all the place is amazing

Staff were kind and friendly - making us feel very welcome and cared for. Close approximation to beach, and complimentary tuk-tuk meant I could take my elderly mother to the beach. Exceptional food - wide variety and beautifully presented. Activities meant there was something for everyone to enjoy - loved trying surfing and archery for the first time. Caters for all ages. Rooms clean and fresh. Safe for valuables in room. Will be back!
