This COULD have been a near perfect hotel. The room was nice, clean, quiet. The toilet had a bum gun. There was a little loft space in the room that provided a nice extra zone which was nice if two or more people were going to spend some time in the room. The balcony had a drying rack, and there was also plenty of space to hang closes inside as well. I would have loved to stay here again if it was not for the one problem the room had.

The room had a fatal flaw which was a light that could not be turned off. This is the first time in my life I had ever been in a room that had lights that could not be turned off. We searched the whole room for the switch, and found nothing and had to essentially sleep with the lights on the first night. The second night we asked the staff and they told us it could not be turned off and they gave us plenty of towels to cover the light. They sounded so used to people complaining about it. The guest needing to DIY a fix for problems caused by sloppy construction CRAZY! If I had wirecutters on me, I would’ve just cut the cable myself and ended it right there. I’m attaching a photo of the offending light. If it was just a dim nightlight, it would’ve been fine, but it was on max brightnes! So bright it lit up the whole room and was literally shining through my eyelids. The fact that someone thought a light you can't turn off was a vibe for a hotel room is WILD. Or did they just forget the switch and everyone was too lazy to fix it? I’m guessing not every room is blessed with this "feature." Why does every hotel in Taiwan have at least one curse? Is it required to get a hotel license? Make it make sense. This is exactly why domestic tourism in Taiwan is flopping.

海景房超讚，在房內發呆就很舒服。到南灣玩水超方便，回到對面就能沖洗。老闆娘準備的早餐超好吃，完全就是一份早午餐的份量，兩天的餐點也有變化，真好。

距離南灣非常近

住二樓樓梯上去第一間 這間房價老舊，鏡子破掉了沒有換 陽台也很髒看出去外面是停車場☹️ 不過地點是真的很好

絕佳位置！二樓以上就能看到南灣沙灘，穿過馬路就能踩在熱熱軟軟的沙灘上。前一位說老闆娘很美麗，確實是對的，老闆也長得不賴啊~ 呵呵。老闆做的早餐，很不錯吃喔！

Tolles haus im hundertwasserstil. Super Lage zum Strand, nur über die Straße. Schirmverleih am Strand. Super Frühstück mit Gemüse, Obst und Fleisch. 7eleven gleich um die Ecke. Ebenso surfschule.

Strasse etwas laut wenn man noch nett auf dem Balkon sitzen möchte.

We enjoyed the overall stay as the bed is comfortable and the room is well equipped with the basic necessities, not to say that the location is very strategic where the beach is right in front just across the road.

The only issue is the water heater as it can be a bit unstable with sudden cold water during showers.

Was für ein tolles Hotel! Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Die Zimmer sind neu, modern und sauber. Es liegt am schönen Strand nur von einer Straße entfernt. SevenElevent um die Ecke, 5 Minuten Fahrt zum Night Market. Das beste am Hotel: das FRÜHSTÜCK!! Der Hotelbesitzer ist Koch und bereitet jeden Tag ein anderes Frühstück auf Sterneniveau vor! DANKE dafür! Absolute Herzensempfehlung!

Nichts zu beanstanden

My favorite part of my vacations to Taiwan with my girlfriend is our visit to South Bay and staying at Sabrina and Hank’s amazing hotel! They treat us incredibly well and the hotel has a cool unique charm to it. The location is perfect with awesome view of the ocean! Hanks breakfast is something not to be missed. Hard to describe the ever changing but first rate culinary trip your tastebuds will have the joy of travelling on. Could not recommend Mini Summer with any more confidence than I do after my three perfect stay with them. Can’t wait for next one already.

Das Frühstück ist wirklich außergewöhnlich und kreativ. Nicht alles ist für jeden Geschmack, wir zum Beispiel mögen keine Meeresfrüchte, aber jeder bekommt das volle Programm. Unglaublich umfangreich und sättigend. Einzigartig, noch nie so erlebt 🥰

Das Zimmer mit Meerblick ist hübsch, aber die Straße schon recht laut. Die Betten sind an sich bequem, aber die Matratze irgendwie schwabbelig. Man spürt jede Bewegung des Partners. Eher ungünstig für Leute mit Schlafproblemen.

Petit hôtel familial avec chambre agréablement décorée. Bon petit déjeuner.

Nous avions choisi une chambre avec vue sur mer et balcon, mais la route était trop bruyante pour pouvoir ouvrir la fenêtre et profiter du balcon.

Das Frühstück wechselt jeden Tag und ist sooo gut. Auch vegetarisch möglich. Es ist so reichlich, dass wir meist kein Mittagessen gebraucht haben. Die Lage am Strand von Nanwan ist super und der Ausblick aufs Meer wahnsinnig schön.

Die Sauberkeit könnte besser sein. Im Bad und auf dem Boden waren leider viele Haare vom Gast davor zu finden. Das Bett ist für zwei Personen recht klein.

Very nice room, nice view and the location is perfect. Nanwan is a great place to stay and unwind. The breakfast was also amazing every morning, she’s a really good cook!!

Les responsables de l'hôtel sont très disponibles pour répondre au maximum à nos besoins. Le petit déjeuner préparé par les responsables, est un vrai délice : frais, varié, généreux. Un vrai plaisir.

Manque une étagère ou deux pour poser nos affaires dans la salle de bain.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Mini Summer. Es liegt direkt an der South Bay, man muss nur die Straße überqueren. Wir haben das köstliche Frühstück jeden Tag genossen. Es wurde uns auch extra ein vegetarisches Frühstück zubereitet. Die Besitzer waren unglaublich freundlich. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig und lecker.

Zimmer wurde während des Aufenthaltes nicht gereinigt, keine Handtücher gewechselt und auch kein neues Klopapier gebracht. Preis Leistung war sehr schlecht. Das Zimmer war unsachgemäß eingerichtet. Keine Ablagefläche und auf dem Balkon tropfte die Flüssigkeit der Klimaanlagen.

The place so cool the air-condition I like it the bed, so clean spacious.. tpilett is clean. Shower is good hot and cold. Especially the food was super delicious especially me as I don't eat pork.

We had an AMAZING stay! The room was clean, comfortable and soundproof. Our kids were allowed to use the bodyboards and sand toys every day. The beach is just on the opposite side of the road and the 7-Eleven is next door - so the location is perfect. But the best was the amazing breakfast we got every day. It was by far the best food we had during our Taiwan journey. Really creative and absolutely great in taste. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming, that we were really sad to leave. Our stay was perfect and I can recommend it to anyone.

It was the best Hotel during our 3 weeks in Taiwan so far. Absolutely amazing breakfast, great location and friendly hosts.

Good small hostel with very friendly staff, very good pricing, good breakfast, nice view, good location etc. Everything was very good on this price range and on this room size. There is a somewhat big road right next to the hostel and there can be some noise from it but it did not bother us. The sound proofing was good enough for us. I highly recommend this.

Hands down our favorite place to stay when visiting South Bay / Nanwan area! Sabrina and Hank are amazing hosts that treat us like old friends/family when we stay. They have a fantastic and cool hotel with great views of the beautiful beach and ocean. They always help us with tours or advice on places to eat, etc. The breakfast is an absolute must have!!! Hank was a great chef with a world of experience as such. He prepares new breakfast each day and one breakfast better than the next. Whenever we are set to check out we are hit with a sadness that we are leaving our friends and the amazing attention to making our stay and trip as best as possible. Thank you both so much and can’t wait till next time!

The lady owner was very kind and helpful to recommend us places for dinner and arrange transport for our day trip in Kenting. Breakfast provided for our two-night stays was excellent.

Probably the best breakfast we had in Taiwan. If you’re sleeping there’s no point of not taking it :) It’s way better than all the restaurants in Nanwan for sure. The room was nice, clean and big enough. Owners are helpful.

Perfect location, friendly staff, great sea view

Travelling to my favorite place in all of Taiwan- Nanwan I am always excited find the "right" place to stay. My girlfriend and I have been there three times and always great places but we decided to try a new one with Mini Summer. We were blown away by everything about our stay. Sabrina and Henry are the most gracious and kind hosts and truly care that your stay is top notch. The location is perfect with amazing view of ocean and surrounding area and right next to 7-11 which for those who know how awesome asian 7-11s are you are thrilled it is so close by. Room super clean and well laid out with high ceiling and you can tell it was recently renovated with lovely decor for the area. The final and most vital part of the review is what you will see from many others. The breakfast that Henry (former chef) prepares each morning is beyond words how amazingly delicious and high end it is. The ingredients and seasoning that Henry puts into each part of the dish is truly incredible and each day of three we had a totally different breakfast prepared super fresh. My gf and I would awake every morning excited to see what would be presented to us and each day we were truly blown away. We left there feeling as we found our perfect location in Nanwan and with new friends in Sabrina and Henry and can't wait to return next year on our annual visit. The breakfast has fine dining quality

This is a Bed and Breakfast my family and I visited while we were in South Bay Beach. It is convenient to everything and I really enjoyed watching the waves from our balcony. The hostess is very nice and helped us to locate snorkeling places and where to find the items we needed. She let my son take beach toys (sand castles etc) from the hotel instead of having to purchase them. We will definitely stay here when we come next time. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to relax and enjoy Taiwan ! Just a note: the name is Mini Summer Hostel but it is not a Hostel. It is a very nice Bed and Breakfast with lots of privacy and spacious rooms. Look at the pics and see - it is very nice and better than the other hotels in the area

great staff! good location. comfortable room

I've stayed at this hotel many times in the last five years. It is super convenient for anyone visiting South Bay Beach. Google suggests it is a two-star hotel but it is better than many three-star hotels I've stayed in across Taiwan (including in Kenting).

- Breakfast was different each day. It's a rather odd, eclectic mix, but overall, it's good. It's best to get there when it first begins at 9am, although it didn't appear to be much of a problem getting a seat in the small dinning room. - Front desk staff is nice (the younger woman speaks English) - Location is good. It's close to the beach entrance, and there is a 7/11 just down the way. It's also right next to Rock Pizza. - Wi-Fi seemed decent - Bed was comfortable - For the size of the room, the A/C unit up high on the wall still did a decent job cooling the room.

- The shower hot water was very hot and difficult to get it to balance well with the cold water. It seemed to go back and forth a lot. - Even though my room was on the third floor and faced the rear hill side, I could still hear the loud karaoke at night from some random place set back in the distance, although it didn't last for too long into the night.

the location and room space are great. it’s also close to convenience store where you could get food and snacks. it got parking space in the front and on the side, that is convenient for travellers.

since kenting is more remote, there are chances of having more insects. it would be better if there is mosquito catcher （電蚊拍) in the room

Loved the room setting: very equipped, served all our needs to have a wonderful and relaxing stay. The delicious and freshly prepared brunch was a big bonus to it!

I love the aesthetic of this place--it's beautifully designed. It's not the most foreigner friendly as we couldn't figure out the AC or the television or the internet. But, it does have a perfect location and the staff are very friendly.
