Karis Hotel

We spent 5 days here, and considering the price, the hotel is really satisfactory. The rooms are clean, tidy, and cleaned daily, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The host was always in a good mood, available for a chat and helpful with advice about trips and food in town. The best thing at breakfast are the croissants – I’ve never had better anywhere. Highly recommended!

Small hotel in good quiet location 10 mins walk to harbour or beach. Clean rooms with ensuite bathrooms and balcony's. Good air conditioning. Good WiFi connection. Fridge in room too, we took our own kettle. Good value too. Family run freindly hotel. We had a night flight and we could keep our room for an extra 10 euro till we left which was great. Throughly reccomend for a budget stay.

Really appreciated by our italian couple for the central position and the kind family that manage it. Very clean! No traffic rumor. You can find all its possible and you can fell like you are in home place

Wonderful place. Most gracious owner and staff. Super clean. Short walk to bakery and fruit stands / groc. Also walked to beach. The route leads right through downtown shops. Nice way to see sites at a slower pace.

Hotel was closed. It was a building site. The owner said the hotel has been closed for two years and Expedia shouldn’t be booking guests. I demand my money back immediately

Hotel is closed for renovations and is unmanned. We arrived and could not access the hotel and had to rebook elsewhere.

Great small hotel a couple of blocks away from the center but close to some of the best restaurants in Kos. Managed by a very nice family!

Struttura nuova , bagno nuovo , pulito , receptionist accogliente

Clean establishment, good and quiet A/C, elevator, good shower, quiet street not more than 500 m from the port. Room was small, but comfortable, good bed. I would definitely stay here again for a short stopover.

We arrived at 4am and check in was easy. Rooms smallish but adequate with balcony, fridge and air-con. Very clean and linen changed daily if required. There was a pleasant sitting area outside hotel and drinks were available from the bar. It was a 5 minute walk to the harbour. The staff were wonderful when we had a problem with our onward accommodation and so having booked for 3 nights we stayed for 7.

Posizione buona, confort essenziale, gestori gentilissimi, molto pulito.

Merci !

It was a wonderful journey in Kos thank to this hôtel who is next to the city center. The personal was very nice. I recommand!!!

Good value hotel..good location..meet all your expectations..nice management..wonderfull spot to explore Kos. Altough two stars Karis is better than most of three stars hotels..definitely recommend it..

We stayed at Karis hotel for one night arriving in quite late. The hotel is walking distance of Kos Town centre and is a small hotel which is a little aged although some of the features are nice to see such as a 70s looking dial phone in our room. Everything was good enough though especially seeing as it was such a low price. The service was good, we were met at the door and checked in without fuss and then the next day we were allowed to store our cases after we checked out.

We visited Kos in a very busy period so most hotels were full. We found rooms in this small, family run hotel, on a quiet street, 5 minutes to the port. It has a very convenient location and is a simple but comfortable and clean hotel. The rooms are small, however the sheets and towels are very clean and the room is cleaned every day. There is A/C, a small fridge, tv, a little balcony with a line for your wet swimsuits and enough cupboards to put your things. No frills, so bring your own shampoo or buy it in Kos. No breakfast is served but there are plenty of places nearby.

nice hotel with friendly reception

arrived late evening all inclusive so had to wait till the morning to try the food breakfast wasn't very good the English choice was no good didn't expect a full English as its a Muslim country but the eggs wasn't cooked properly I didn't eat that morning and all the other meals wasn't much better we went with jet2 and complained about the food they said it was fine but looking at jet2 web page reviews most people complained about it NEXT the only bar was next to the pool so it was either sit next to the pool and listen to screaming kids at the night there was no entertainment at all the few seats at the bar was next to the exit to the BEACH so you couldn't have a quite drink on day 2 of our 11 day holiday we moved hotels at and it was the best thing to do

Good hotel, close to downtown. Clean, tidy and nice. Some old fashioned decor in the room, but good air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Too bad they do not serve breakfast.Nice little balcony. Some traffic noise, but not so bad. Nice staff who contributed as well as they could so that our stay was as good as possible. Small bathroom, but good with hot water.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are updated, taken care of very well. Beds are comfortable, AC works well, plenty of hot water. Good attention to detail. The owners are very nice and helpful. Good location 5-10 min walk to harbor. Quiet street straight up from harbour, easy to find. I would definitely stay here again.

The KARIS was a great place for me to stay as a single woman traveller. The owners are kind, friendly people and the place is spotlessly clean. My very pleasant room was serviced everyday with clean towels and linen, bins emptied and loo rolls replenished. Everything works well: the air con is good, the little fridge and hairdryer are useful and there was even a discreet washing line with pegs on the airy balcony. The wifi is excellent - fast and reliable. It is a very short walk to the port/ town centre and not much further to the main beach. The hotel is on an urban street on which there a several recommended restaurants so it is easy to go out for a meal. This is a safe hotel run by trustworthy people - it 's not glitzy but then you are not paying 5 star prices.

We only stayed at Karis hôtel for one night. We enjoyed the calm and quietness. The hotel is à bit old fashioned but comfortable and clean. Excellent quality/Price rate.

I booked into the Karmis hotel for three nights. Clean and simle, no frills hotel. Strong AC 6 mins from harbour. 1 min to small shop No hot water in the morning. Nice lounge but the bar wasn't open. Enlish spoken buy the manager

I don't like to leave a negative review for any establishment but I feel for the sake of other customers who, just like me, may be fooled by the other reviews on here which I can state categorically are untrue regarding noise and staff friendliness. My main requirements from any hotel are a quiet room. As this is a 2 star hotel I didn't expect anything special regarding decor or frills but having read the excellent reviews here stating that the hotel is Quiet, I booked. My main reason for booking was because the reviews here said it was quiet. I can safely say after having less than 3 hours sleep that it's the noisiest hotel I have stayed in for almost two decades of travel and I have stayed in cities in China! There is a prehistoric elevator which is extremely loud and has no internal door, this elevator was on the go until 4am banging and crashing, after 4 am I slept until 7.30 when the elevator and door slamming stared again, then at about 8.30 the cleaning ladies who violently coughed as she slammed doors was in action until 9.30-10pm. The acoustics with the tiles floors and wafer thin doors are just wrong, even a pin dropping would sound like an iron bar. The staff member a tall slim grey haired man was borderline on rude with no friendliness whatsoever even though we are very pleasant and polite. If you value peace and a nights sleep go elsewhere. I wouldn't stay again for free. The positives are the hotel was spotless clean and the 1970's or 80's decor and furniture was clean.

I stayed 3 nights. Hotel is quite, staffs are excellent. Location is perfect. I walked everywhere. Hotel is little old but so clean. Wi-fi is working very well. Next time i will stay same hotel. Thank you guys

I had a lovely time at karis hotel. what made it such a lovely time is not simply the location of the place which is very central, free wifi, beautiful clean rooms next to the beach. i was travelling as a single woman. sometimes it can be awkward travelling alone. but George, the hotel manager, was majestic. he makes you feel welcome, never crosses the lines, understands everything you need and provides it to you, he's unusually intuitive and sensitive but also respectfully distant, perfect manager, superb treatment. i also want to say that Eliana, the lady that cleans the rooms in the second floor, made it fantastic. she prepared my room every day in a different fashion, put flower petals in my bed with towels arranged differently every night, her care made me feel protected and loved. beautiful place to stay in but mostly fantastic, rare people to meet, George and Eliana.

Very good and central position, quite and basic hotel. George is the real surprise of Karis Hotel. Kindness and preparation. He knows how to do his job, always has a smile, tips and location to raccomend with professionality and hospitality like beeing at home!

I stay in Kos a lot as a stop off to another island and I ended up at the Karis Hotel because all the other hotels were fully booked. It has a charming old world feel about it. I told them to NEVER NEVER "modernise". Hotels often make this mistake which ends up making your surroundings feel cheap and flimsy. The Karis had a lovely solid feeling about it which I love. The staff - every bit as good as the hotel itself. I arrived very late at night with a bit of a crisis on my hands and the guy on duty - George - was incredibly helpful and understanding. Location wise, it's close enough to the port but far enough away it's nice and quiet. I slept really well. I would definitely recommend this hotel either as a one night stop off to another island or for a proper stay. The guests that I saw seemed very happy nice (quite often not the case in Kos hotels - I will say no more!). I feel I've made a very happy discovery and will definitely stay there again!

Great location, clean, simple rooms, very good prices and good wifi. The best thing about this little hotel, however, is the staff, specially Gergiou, had the best tips and recommendations, besides being a very friendly and funny guy. Follow his suggestions and your stay in Kos will definitely be great!
