Misty Meadows B and B

Eine der gemütlichsten Unterkünfte, in der wir jemals waren. Für unsere ersten 3 Nächte in Kanada war es die perfekte Unterkunft und wir würden jederzeit wieder dorthin gehen.

Cathy war super freundlich und wir hatten eine absolut fantastische Zeit in Misty Meadows. Alles war super sauber, die Betten waren bequem und wir haben die Ruhe sehr genossen! Das Frühstück war Stier abwechslungsreich!

Absolut nichts, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

We loved the spacious room, the food, the two friendly cats, and two adorable little donkeys! It’s more or less midway between Buchart Gardens and Victoria. There are lots of beautiful parks and hiking trails nearby.

It’s a little bit of a hike to get anywhere and the roads are very dark at night! Highly recommend for anyone who loves nature and wants a quiet getaway.

Great location, close to Victoria but so peaceful. Cathy was really helpful and provided an early breakfast for us. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious!The room was spacious with a large balcony. We had access to the kitchen, lounge and dining room

Uns hat die Lage der Unterkunft in einem ruhigen Wald sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet und man kann sämtliche Räumlichkeiten ( Küche für Tee und Kaffee, Essbereich und Wohnzimmer) nutzen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und haben sich sehr bemüht. Die Zimmer sind alle mit sehr viel Liebe ausgestattet. Auch die Mitbewohner, zwei kleine süße Katzen, die nicht in die Zimmer durften, fanden wir sehr, sehr süß. Zu unserem Zimmer gehörte auch eine große Balkonterrasse, von der wir in den Wald gucken und chillen konnten. Wir würden immer wieder kommen und empfehlen diese Unterkunft - viel besser als die Hotels.

Rustige locatie maar vlakbij Victoria en alle andere attracties. Zeer gastvrije host met heerlijk ontbijt. Zeer comfortabele luxe kamer met ruim balkon, waar het heerlijk zitten was tijdens warme dagen. Geweldige uitvalsbasis voor Victoria en omgeving.

We had an absolutely amazing experience. We loved everything about this place. It was so peaceful and beautiful, and surrounding area was stunning. Cathy was very welcoming and friendly, and breakfast was absolutely delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Would definitely recommend!

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmern. Es fehlt an gar nichts. Wir verbrachten zwei Nächte dort und wären gern noch länger geblieben. Cathy hat uns ein tolles Frühstück zubereitet. Die Unterkunft nehmen wir bei unserem nächsten Besuch wieder.

Wir haben Victoria besucht und konnten trotzdem im Grünen wohnen. Es war sehr komfortabel und aus dem Zimmerfenster konnte ich morgens Rehe und andere Tiere im Garten beobachten. Das Zimmer und Bad war mit Allem ausgestattet. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und man hat sich sofort wohl gefühlt.

FÜr uns war es perfekt, aber man benötigt ein Auto. DIes nur als Hinweis.

The breakfast was amazing. Our host made a different breakfast every morning and each one was a work of art served on a beautiful table setting. The hosts were always gracious in meeting our needs.

We had absolutely no complaints. Only sad we had to leave so soon.

It was secluded away from the hustle and bustle of downtown very quiet. Room was large and reasonably comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfasts were satisfactory and provided a good start to the day .

Bit of a curvy drive on a narrow road which took a little getting use to, however, not enough to prevent me from booking here again. It was nice to be away from the noise of the city!

This was a beautiful forest oasis. So quite. The hosts were amazing and made us feel like we were at home.

De eigenaars waren super aardig. Het ligt in prachtige groene omgeving en het was overall een heel fijn verblijf!

L'environnement en pleine nature boisée à seulement 15 minutes des commerces. Nous avons eu une très grande chambre et avons profité du grand balcon. Les équipements étaient adéquats. Tout était très propre. Les déjeûners étaient santé et très généreux.

Loved the friendly host and the friendly cats, it was so sweet to get to visit the lambs and donkeys as well. The breakfasts were creative and quite good. And the room was large, extremely clean and well appointed.

The area is very quiet, there are lots of birds. Easy parking, nice, clean rooms. Good water pressure and very pleasant hosts. We liked the friendly cats and dog.

We had a wonderful time at Misty Meadows. The room is cosy and clean, the breakfast was delicious. Cathy made us feel very welcome, so did the cats and dog :-). We could even spot hummingbirds and raccoons from our room. We would definitly stay here again!

The hosts are exceptional people, very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Food was wonderful and rooms were spacious, clean and very well decorated. The dog and cats were wonderful too!

Had het fijn gevonden als er een nachtlampje naast het grote bed zou staan. Nu stond er een grote lamp,die het niet deed.

Misty Meadows is located in a quiet neighbourhood surrounded by nature and yet only 15 mins from shops and restaurants.

There’s nothing to not like here

The location was lovely.

I wish there wasn’t such a heavy use of air fresheners inside. It caused allergies for me.

We had a wonderful stay in the family suite at Misty Meadows. The room was clean and a lovely space to be in. The location worked well for us, a 30 minute drive to downtown Victoria if not travelling in rush hour, and it was nice to stay somewhere beautiful and quiet. Errol and Cathy were friendly and attentive but gave us plenty of space, and Cathy made us an excellent breakfast, also going to the trouble of preparing a packed breakfast when we had to leave very early on our last morning. Their very affectionate feline co-hosts Jewel and Gem were also much appreciated.

The property is a very quiet getaway from all the buzz of Victoria. Breakfasts were hearty, healthy home cooked and tasted amazing. Cathy and Errol were lovely hosts and offered info on sites to see and places to get some good food, because it was our first time on the island. Definitely a place to be if you planning super busy days in and around Victoria and then need a peaceful rest at the end of the day. Kids are also entertained with the animals they have. My kids enjoyed the cats a lot and the sheep which brought such amusement to them. We have told all our friends about the place.

Don’t have any dislikes! It was fabulous! Lots of trees around and somewhat shady but a delight for the birds!

The property is gorgeous and very welcoming. Cathy and Errol are both very friendly and very accommodating, the rooms were spacious beautiful and very clean and well kept.

The hosts were lovely and welcoming as were their dog and two cats. They also have sheep and donkeys on the property. The loft suite we were in was clean and included local tourism pamphlets. Bathroom is spacious and clean.

The host and hostess are wonderful, lovely people. We enjoyed our chats. The home and grounds are enchanting. The breakfasts were delicious. In addition we enjoyed the sheep, donkeys, kitties and dog! A definite 10!

Location embedded in nature and off the beaten path. The donkeys and the dog. The quiet mornings with the deer. Hosts were excellent and really took care of us and the breakfasts were innovative and super tasty and they accommodated our different breakfast times And the beds were clean and comfy.

The hosts were delightful. Breakfast wonderful. Loved the 2 kitties. Very comfortable. Felt like "home".

Would of been nice to have a clock in room. Also, room was so roomy but the tv was too small for easy viewing. Otherwise nothing negative.

Location in the forest, quiet and very clean

The setting was bucolic in a forest. Quiet, peaceful. Great hostess. Dog and 2 kitties.

The drive in and out is a challenge. Narrow, twisty, hilly for a few miles. Be careful.

We enjoyed our stay at Misty Meadows, the friendly host and nice area, lovely pets. Our room was big enough for the family of 4. Excellent breakfast - a special thank you for that !

The house was beautiful, the hosts lovely. A very tranquil location, within 20 minutes of Butchart Gardens.

Breakfast seemed a bit rushed, with barely enough time to eat cereal/fruit before the cooked breakfast arrived. However, it was all beautifully prepared

The Hostess is really sweet! The cats are so cute and cuddly. We really enjoyed the breakfast she cooked and we even met some other guests during breakfast who were visiting from Denmark. Would definitely recommend!

Everything was comfortable for our stay, no negatives here. Probably the road is a bit windy to get down to the b&b but again, pleasurable stay 🙂

We really enjoyed our stay at the Misty Meadows B&B. Our hosts Errol and Cathy were delightful and they made us feel extremely welcome in their home. We stayed in the Paris room which was nice and spacious with a great size private en-suite. This room also had a private balcony which was relaxing to sit out on. The bed, pillows, sheets and towels were all high quality which added to the comfort of our stay. Finally, the location of this property is really quiet and peaceful. It was easy to find and it is extremely convenient for driving to Butchart Gardens. I would stay here again if we were in the area and I highly recommend it.

This B&B was a nice transition from downtown Victoria. The area was pristine and peaceful after long days in Victoria. The owner gave helpful tips for our stay on Vancouver Island along with a great breakfasts to start the day. We would definitely go back and highly recommend this property if you're in the Victoria area.

Amazing place, a true hidden gem in the woods. The serene and tranquil environment is more than what we expected. The top tier homemade breakfast served is both fresh and nutritious. And the hosts’ hospitality is making the peaceful retreat more memorable. Highly recommended.

Very friendly owners, located in beautiful very green spot, kids loved all the animals, house decorated very pretty.

We can only suggest this location wholeheartedly. This is a beautiful B&B, quiet, of the beaten path in the woods. Very relaxing, the owners made us feel like home. Cathy and her husband are very friendly, knowledgeable hosts. It is a little drive away from Victoria, but for anybody who wants to be away from the hubbub of a big city, but not too far away from it, this is perfect. We loved it and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Breakfast was delicious, rooms are very clean comfortable and nicely decorated. Cathy also had prepared a lot of local information for us. We had a marvelous time.

It is clean & tidy . Well decorated The equipment/ toilets/ facilities are well designed & practical. The food ( both day breakfast) are delicious 👍👍👍 The pets ( dog , cats, sheep, donkey) are very adorable. 🥰

The distance too deep in

It’s beautifully located only a short trip to many attractions. We enjoyed hearing the birds in the mornings and our daughter loved getting to feed Noah the donkey each morning. Cathy’s breakfasts are incredible and she did such an amazing job putting together something fun for our three year old each day. The two-bed suite was perfect for our family.

This was our second stay at Misty Meadows and it was great just as the first one was. Cathy’s breakfasts are incredible and Erroll was so great taking our daughter down to feed the donkey. We had an early flight and Cathy packed us a travel breakfast for the drive to the airport and snacks for once we were through security, it was really appreciated.

Misty Meadows is surrounded by tall trees and nature, making it a perfect spot if you are looking for peace and quiet after a long day. There are walking trails, conservation areas, as well as many other local attractions nearby. Victoria is about a 35 minute drive. Families with young children would enjoy the sheep and the little donkey that are on the premises. Carol is a wonderful host.

We had a great stay at Misty Meadows! Lovely hosts, beautiful surroundings, and the cutest and cuddliest cats. With five people, we needed to use the pullout couch in addition to the two double beds. The breakfast was super nice, and options were offered to young family members who are picky about what they eat :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Misty Meadows B&B with such friendly, engaging hosts. Cathy's breakfasts were so creative, tasty, bountiful and a feast for the eyes as well as our stomachs! The property is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, spacious bedrooms with balconies, lovely landscape of trees. We also thoroughly enjoyed their lovely pets, Kenzie the lab, Jule and Gem, their cats and Noah the adorable donkey! We highly recommend staying at their lovely home.

Small disadvantage in having to negotiate narrow winding road at night if out for a meal. But that is the only hint of a downside, not a criticism, and of course it goes with the peaceful isolation.

Sensational place to stay with super hosts. Excellent breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful property in the country and Cathy and Errol were wonderful. The beds were comfortable, the room was large and clean and our breakfasts were delicious!!

Breakfast was excellent and they were able to accommodate allergies. Being able to sit on the balcony and listen to the birds was lovely.

The donkey is cute and you can pet it, but it is also loud at times.

Comfortable rooms and amazing breakfast is a fantastic location in the woods ideal for quiet time and family time. Animals and a nice house maje ideal vacation for a rest and enjoy being out of the coty but not far from Victoria.

Cathy and Erroll were quite accommodating with my allergies to cat by having the cat in their room and the no cheese in my breakfast.

I wasn’t prepared for the well water as it smelled like sulfur when I used the facilities. It wasn’t a deal breaker though. I’m sure to other people it might be off putting.

Cathy & Errol are excellent hosts, giving us space & privacy balanced with personal interaction to suit. The breakfasts are restaurant quality and the home just charming. We enjoyed the semi rural setting but some may wish to be closer to town.

The room was clean, comfortable, well-equipped and well-maintained. The hosts very kindly waited up for an 11pm check in due to airline changing our flights. The location in the forest was delightful. The breakfasts were delicious. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Our hosts were gracious, patient, thoughtful and kind. The setting is a little remote but very peaceful and beautiful. One of my favourite memories from the end of the trip in Victoria was the delicious breakfast Cathy made for us. Our children loved the animals and were very happy they got to pet and feed them. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay.

Cathy and Errol were incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Air con was very appreciated in the very hot weather. Breakfast quality and service was superb.

Grandfather clock - they kindly switched the noise off on the second night. Unable to lock balcony door or room door when going out. Family were in all day so no outsiders got in.

We enjoyed our stay with the hosts Erroll and Cathy in a familiar atmosphere very much. The freshly prepared breakfast was outstanding! Their two cats and two dogs are lovely. The interiour and decoration of the room was very tastful and of high quality with love for the detail. It is definitely worth to drive a few extra miles to reach this property, if you search for a quiet and peaceful location to relax from an eventful day.

We had a fabulous stay here. It was very homely and the hosts Cathy and Erroll were very warm and friendly. The rooms were very clean with a beautiful garden view. An AC had been installed specially for us, because of the unusual heat. The icing on the cake was the amazing breakfast! I would definitely return here in the future!!

Not experienced B&Bers but after experiencing Misty Meadows we will definitely make it our first option! Wonderful experience

We had a lovely time, great B&B! We enjoyed the visit of the property with the owners, the fact that it was so quiet. Such an experience with the sheep, donkey and poney around at the farm. Our girls really appreciated the dogs and cats. The breakfast is excellent and served with love and attention. There is a big shared leaving room and the host make you feel really comfortable and respect your privacy. Even if it’s a bit of a drive from Victoria, we would definitely go back.
