We were very please with the cleanliness bed was very comfortable. The grounds were pleasing to walk around. We would have stayed there on our way back home but it wasn't convenient. We would definitely book with this property again.

Excellent room and property. The grounds have a soothing atmosphere with stream, pond, bridge, and trail. It is far enough back from the road to e quiet, and pleasingly landscaped. Interior decor was welcoming and warm, with many pieces of excellent artwork. If passing by, we will find the time to stay longer.

This chalet was absolutely wonderful! So clean and well equipped. Thankyou so much to the owner for allowing us to stay in the chalet. You were so kind and generous! Your accommodations are full of character and are in a beautiful relaxing setting. We fell asleep to the sound of the waterfall. Best place during our two week vacation.

My hubby and I were there for one night coming from Gaspesie. This location is more like a healthy resort: old trees, creek, river, small bridge. We recommend spending here a couple of days as L Islet is a nice place with a nice Maritime Museum (can be other attractions too but we didn t have much time), the waterfront is beautiful for a stroll, nice restaurants e.g. The place is very clean and the hostess is awesome.

We were travelling from NB to ON and found this gem, what a beautiful place to stay, We were greeted by our host Francine who made us feel at home and made sure we had everything we needed. Our suite was spotless and the Inn was very quiet. We will definitely plan on staying at Studio Vacances Marchant de Bonne Heure again.

We loved the whole experience here. The property is very large, with many interesting areas to explore, our room was large, with everything a traveller needs and the hosts were charming. Monsieur is a very good artist. The house (and lands) offers many beautiful pieces. We will come back I am sure. It is conveniently located a few minutes off the main high and is a convenient halfway stop between Toronto and Halifax, a commute many ON parents/students make.

Studios Vacances Marchant de Bonne Heure is a fantastic place. Beautiful buildings and grounds. The studio was comfortable, well equipped and spotless. The hosts are gracious and extremely helpful.

We had an awesome stay here ! The owners are very friendly and made us feel very welcome!! The grounds are so nice and the room was very nice too! We would definitely stay here again!

We were just stopping overnight, but we'd go back for a hiking or cycling weekend. Be prepared to speak French, but that is true of the Bas-St Laurent area generally.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are very nice, the surrounding grounds are beautiful and the staff are amazing. They have a beautiful gazebo where we enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening, and in the morning the breakfast we enjoyed there was excellent. There are some nice restaurants/pubs in the neighbouring town of Saint-Jean-de Port-Joli. I would highly recommend this as a very nice place to stay.

Lovely restful spot that is meticulously maintained.

We booked this auberge for an overnight stay on our way to eastern New Brunswick. Although we were just there one night we would definitely stay there again. Just remember that because this is not a hotel, you do have to check-in before closing.

The cleanliness, thoughtfulness, and attention to details show that the owners were exceptional proud to host her guest. Breakfast at the gazebo was extremely well done! Thank you!

Holiday vacation stop . great christmas felling ....

This is a lovely spot on a small river with trails for hiking and biking and skiing. The hosts are very nice and the studios, named after writers, are spacious, spotlessly clean, and named after writers. Well-stocked kitchens and very good grocery in nearby village. We stopped on our way to Montreal and liked it so much we decided to stop again on our way back home. Not far from the highway, but a feeling of being in the country; very relaxing.

From the moment we drove in to this lovely property. we felt a calm serenity. The grounds were immaculate, the inn cozy and inviting, and Francine, the owner, was there to greet us and share the history of this hidden gem. Our room was clean, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous gazebo with a wood burning fire to add to the ambiance. We stayed at the Studios Vacances at the beginning of our trip and loved it so much we ended our trip with another night at this quaint little inn. We will definitely make plans to return.

Excellent place and owners

We stayed here last year on our way back from PEI to Ontario, and liked it so much we stayed again this year. Everything was great again and they even improved by replacing the pull out couch with a very comfortable Murphy Bed in the suite area. Breakfast was just as good as last year and we'll definitely stay here again.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a one night stay at Studio Vacances Marchant de Bonne Heure in charming L'Islet. Our wonderful hostess was warm and informative taking the time to show us around and provide us with lots of personal details about her Auberge. She helped us tremendously by making reservations for us at a local restaurant where we had one of the best meals of our 8 day tour of southern Quebec. Our 2 room "studio" plus bath was exceptionally well equipped and spotless. The only area of concern for us was the bed and bedding. Such a lovely place would benefit from a brand new bed with softer sheets and a variety of firmnesses in the pillows. With this change, we would not hesitate to provide Studio Vacances Marchant de Bonne Heure with 5 out of 5 stars.

My sister and I were greeted very warmly. Lots of info was offered re things to do, sites to see, where to eat, etc... our studio was impeccable: clean, comfortable, with all the commodities one could hope for. We would definitely come back!

Beautiful place!! We enjoyed listening to the waterfall all night long through our open windows. We decided to get breakfast there, and we were served a wonderful breakfast in the gazebo with music playing and a little fire going to keep us warm. One of my all time favorite places to stay!

I can't say enough about this gem of a place. After a long day of traveling, the comfort, beauty, and hospitality left us not only rested, but totally rejuvenated.

Meticulously clean. Had kitchen facilities which we prefer for breakfast. Breakfast could be purchased and looked yummy. Hostess Francine was very helpful for info on area and great restaurant in the town. Building is set back in the woods with pond and river. Known as a great walking area. Eclectic art works in common are, very interesting.

This was one of the best experiences we've ever had staying somewhere. The room (Felix Leclerc) was perfect for my wife and I along with our 10 month old baby stopping on our way back to Ontario from PEI. Lots of room and really comfortable. The property is really interesting and if we had more time, I could see spending a day just relaxing around the grounds. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. We will definitely stay here again.

We came for 2 nights to visit family in the area. It was not in tourist season, so many attractions in the area were closed but the accommodations were fantastic. If we had planned properly we could have taken advantage of the snowshoes offered to go out onto the nearby trails and take in the beauty that nature has to offer. The owner of the Inn is a wonderfully generous and friendly woman. We had a magical time. We rented a suite with a bedroom and living room area with a pull out couch. Perfect for 4 people. The little kitchenette was all we needed to make our breakfast in the morning. The place was clean and comfortable. I cannot say a negative comment.

One word "outstamding place and marvelous owner !!!!!

Francin & family have created an incredibly soothing haven, on a beautiful lot complete with its own lake to sit by, and running brook to listen to while relaxing. The property has several sanctuaries where you can sit and have a glass or wine, read a book or just take in the sounds & sights of nature: including a large gazebo, completed by an obviously talented craftsman, a patio with charming little café tables and a variety of areas to sit on a bench, muskoka style chair, or swing. Incredibly friendly, our hosts provided us with one of the nicest homemade breakfasts that we've ever been treated to in our years of visits to B&Bs. Charming, quiet and reasonably priced, this was a steal of a find...so good in fact, that we've cancelled our earlier plans, in order to stay here again on our way back to Ontario!

Stayed for one night, would have stayed longer! Very charming room and very nice property.
