We stayed here as a couple from Japan, and it was a wonderful experience. As soon as we stepped out of our room, we were faced with the endless desert, and the desert was beautiful with large and small sand dunes. I'm sure it was a view that you wouldn't see at a desert hotel close to Dubai city. The hotel tour was also wonderful, and on the heritage tour, the guide gave us detailed information about the homes, food, and lifestyles of people in the Middle East in the past, and we were able to experience some of that. The camel ride and safari were also very satisfying. One thing about the food was that it wasn't to our liking, but we were happy to be able to eat traditional cuisine. This time, we stayed at five hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and this hotel was the one we would most recommend.
Everything was perfect. Clean room, nice facilities, kind staffs and quiet and safe staying. But it would make you more outstanding if you enhance a speed of serving in the restaurant. Coffee and egg-fries were late. Anyway, overall, very goo.
There were not much visitors in the July weekdays which allowed us to dominate the pool. I could also enjoy walking up to hills in deserts which was memorable experience for me.
Property over all ok, food was limited option, rooms are ok not highly maintained
It was an amazing experience at the resort wich we could immersed to the nature and wild life. A little adventure with our kids with barefoot on the sand dunes during sunset was very nice.
Great customer service, amazing place. Will definitely come back
The whole property was gorgeous despite our stay being in the middle of the largest rainfall in recent memory. The roads were rough around the hotel and villas, but the staff adapted to make sure we got to where we wanted to go in minimum time. Our view from the villa was magnificent and the dunes walkable. The villa was clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was also outstanding--a great selection and an appropriate price. The staff was first-rate. We highly recommend Tell Resort!
Nice retreat in the Desert, loved the indoor/outdoor pool downstairs. Buffet breakfast was excellent, our Attendant Naazdeep was very good in serving us with breakfast.
Fantastic Stay , extraordinary Hotel , amazing staff , we really enjoyed our time here .
This is definitely a different experience for those seeking quiet comfort and a little adventure.
luxury and quiet, beautiful scenery
It was a relaxing and exciting stay. The two-bedroom suite was very confortable, although there is a need of a more dedicated maintenance (for instance, the door of the fridge was broken)
I had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Telal Resort Al Ain, and I must say that it was a complete disaster. Despite a few positives like the good cuisine with a varied menu, original rooms with a nice view, and animals roaming freely, the negatives overshadowed everything else. Firstly, the location of the hotel is a nightmare. It took us an excruciating 2 hours to reach the hotel from Dubai and the least after such a long drive would have been to welcome us with a cold drink or a fresh towel. To make matters worse, the pool had a noisy water jet that was situated right next to the restaurant, making it impossible to have a conversation during lunch. The reception was so far away from the rooms that we had to call a driver to take us there, and the rooms were poorly soundproofed, which meant that we could hear everything our neighbors did. To top it all off, a baby in the tent next to ours cried all night, making it impossible to sleep. But what made the experience truly unbearable was the attitude of the manager, Mr. Elie Farhat. He was not only arrogant and rude, but he also made us feel bad and guilty instead of apologizing for the situation. The least he could have done was to inform us that our neighbors had a newborn and offer us a solution like changing rooms or staying in a smaller one. This is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point, and it's even more surprising given that hotels in the UAE usually prioritize their customers.
Excellent quality property with ease of access for those with a regular 2WD/sedan vehicle. Wish we could've stayed more than one night to enjoy the desert environment.
Traumhaftes Resort in der Wüste mit allem Komfort
Amazing
Site exceptionnel, chambre spacieuse et confortable, service impeccable, personnel toujours disponible : tous les ingrédients pour un séjour mémorable
A beautiful resort an amazing experience
Excellent all the way
Very dissapointing. The place is clearly not designed for families with little kids. You can't go with a stroller to the reception/restaurant/pool area without struggling through steps, obstacles, etc. You can't drive yourself, you need to call them and they pick you up. They don't have child seats on the cars, so it's dangerous. Also at some point we needed to wait 30+ min for them to pick us up. Food is very average for the hotel price per night. The water in the pool is a little cold and we used only the one that was heated... So the other pool must have been super cold... I guess that's why it was always empty. There's no kids pool also. The furniture in the room is also horrible. They have a table made of a tree trunk, including the typical holes and the like you would find in a tree, so very pretty but very impractical and also a pain if you have kids as the toys kept going to the holes and it was hard to remove them. Also the table and other furniture was full of dangerous branches like shapes again not child friendly. Our kids kept getting hurt with the table and bed shapes while playing around the room. Overall, a very overpriced hotel. It's nothing special. For the price you could go to a way better luxurious resort.
Vacation and birthday celebration was ruined because of the bad experience with the villa we upgraded upon arrival. Villa 2006 have maintanence issues that was not check prior to our stay. Water supply disruption, electricity blackout at midnight, phone not working and door key was not working. Most of time wasted calling for maintenance and not having enjoyable time during vacation. Packed our bags and cut short our stay. Customer service only responded the next day when we requested to check out. Too late for any damage control procedure to kick in. Did not expect such bad experience knowing the room we stayed go for over dh2000/night
I would like to thank all the staff of the Telal Resort, Al.Ain for an amazing stay. My room in the Heritage Village was fantastic and I loved the local, authentic decor. The desert setting was so peaceful and relaxing. The pool area was superb. The infinity pool over the desert was delightful, and so lovely to see such a vast variety of bird life and free- roaming antelopes. The decor in the main reception area and dining room is like something from the filmset of Out of Africa...stunning! Finally, the food is some of the most delicious I have tasted in the UAE during nearly 5 years of being a resident! Thank you to all 😃
This property was gorgeous. From check-in to check-out, we felt so taken care of by the staff. Everything we ordered from the room service came quickly and was delicious. We definitely cannot wait to come back here again!
Fantastic Desert Experience at Telal Resort. Beautiful scenery, elegant and comfortable rooms and great food. The private pool and outside area was great for a family and the kids loved playing outside and looking for wildlife - there were lots of gazelles wandering amongst the trees and shrubs. The activities could have been better organised but the staff there more than made up for that. The food and the staff were both excellent and went out of their way to make the experience special. Would definitely go back!
They hotel and service was absolutely incredible.
We spent 2 nights here. Very relaxing, quiet place and great scenery. The only thing we didn't like was that the Aircon in the room didn't work properly. It was freezing cold right under it, so our heads were freezing off at night but everywhere else in the room it was hot, so our lower bodies were hot. Unfortunately we didn't sleep well because of this. Other than that it's the perfect place for a long weekend!
The location is great other than that terrible, staff are really not friendly when we came at first we had friends visiting as normal procedures they would take their ID's which i totally understand but having to book an extra room if we have more than 3 visitors does not make sense. Ok so visiting hours are up to 10 pm (sounds like a hospital) as soon as they left a friend of mine wanted to stay in the next room guess what 😂 they didn't allow it so the room stayed empty and i ended up spending the night by myself... wow i thought that was a 5 star .. talk to staff they talk at the same time where is customer first here? I guess its lost in the desert somewhere . Im a traveler, stay at hotels alot wow the rules here 0 stars i was traumatized not only shocked.. i asked them if its okay i book a third room to let my friend in they said yes YIKES i was being sarcastic. Basically never again... Oh yeah forgot this part when u leave a hotel they ur credit card info.. I basically leave they shut the exit door and ordered me to come to the reception wow That was a season of prison break. Anyone who wants to feel threatened try telal alain 😂 that was one of the worst experiences in my life. Even a 2 star does a better job.
Bad
We had a great time here. A first class establishment with plenty to do if that is what you want to do? If not a great place to chill with great food and attentive staff. Highly recommended we will be back as great value for money!
It was good hotel and good services
t was my husband’s birthday and I wanted to surprise him with something special and nice, the whole experience was extraordinarily
Quiet place very peaceful and location into the desert very pretty! I loved the camel ride.
One of the best hotels i ever stayed in, staff, location, privacy, everything was on point!
a dream to be in the desert, perfect resort, Alessandro
The resort is very nice. The view is amazing. The staffs are very friendly and extremely helpful.
i need a good property and lots of things to di and wud viait again and wud tell my friends to visit
A brilliant resort to spend some days in. The staff were brilliant the room was awesome with a fire or outside and a desert view to go with it. Food was very good with a good selection for the evening buffet also have ala Carte on offer. Can’t recommend enough
Very nice
Fantastic resort
The hotel is good. You could choose two free activities and each of them take around 20 minutes. We select camel and horse riding and start the activities from our accommodation entrance. The staff will take photos for you while camel and horse riding in the desert. The price compare with other desert hotel is reasonable.
This hotel is a scam. My friend and I were very excited about traveling to the UAE and wanted to spend a night in the desert, so we found this resort which looked beautiful in pictures and is listed as a 5 star resort. We paid $350 to stay there on the night of 3/9/2017. We were shocked to find on arriving that the place looks nothing like the pictures. We were given a room away from the main "resort" that equivalent to a 3 star hotel on a good day (the Holiday Inn has nicer rooms and cleaner too). The desert was pretty and we tried to make the best of the situation. Overnight the staff entered our room without our permission, which as 2 women, was terrifying. The next day there was no breakfast and no horseback ridding. We asked to speak with the manager about our negative experience. He was very rude and refused to offer any sort of solution. We left immediately thereafter. Hotels.com refused to refund the sum saying that the money was already cashed by the hotel who was unwilling to provide any refund. Worst hotel experience of my life and I frequently travel. BEWARE. This place 1.5hrs away from Abu Dhabi and when you get there and realize you've been ripped off its not easy to leave especially at night. Awful experience.
Great for relaxation
Amazing experience, its unlike anything I have tried. The hotel is like your own private hideaway and a perfect escape from the city, it is so quiet and peaceful. Amazing staff, that make you feel at home from the moment you enter to the final goodbye. The views and setting are breathtaking and unique. The rooms are in lovely little houses sitting on the edge of the sand dunes, fitted and finished to a 5 star standard. Highly recommended and will certainly be back.
relaxing
no way to get help locating the hotel; we lost three hours trying after speaking with 6 staff members that could not tell how to get the hotel from route 30 and 40. tried to checkout on the start of a sand storm, and it took other two hours. it seems that they are not yet prepared to service their number of rooms. property is nice. rooms are correct
Amazing resort with the sand dunes all around it. We were in 2 bedroom Heritage village and it was lovely.
This is a new resort, going through a soft opening. Hence all activities are not available, and we could not go on the desert drive where one could see the animals on the reserve. Accommodation is away from the restaurant and pool and one needs to call reception to send a golf cart to transport one there as the cars are kept in a car park at a distance from the accommodation. Beautiful location set in colorful dunes
First: the route shown on Expedia does not work: call Hotel to give the exact way! Rooms are very nice in front of the desert. Hot, but dry. Resort has nice pool area, sitting in the desert. Good breakfast, dinner is good, but too expensive. Camelriding is free, do it in the morning, then it is too hot. Great stay.
