CLIPPER SHIPP BEACH MOTEL

Kind and friendly staff. Beautiful views.

Older motel but very cute, cozy and quaint. Beautiful view. Very nice staff. She actually came and helped us with the tv to find the baseball game. Would love to come back.

Fly infestation in my room. Not worth the price

The best part of this motel is the location. Loved the views of the ocean. The room felt dated and in bad need of updating.

Was told I was too late, check in they said was at 3pm

Marvelous stay

Very clean!! Sunset and sunrise are beautiful from this location. Room had everything we needed!! Only thing missing was conditioner and body cream

Very dated with some mold issues

Been coming here for years. Excellent location on the Bay. Ocean and sometimes fog. Prices are climbing though. Great big balconies and full apartment style units. Great viewing from the balcony.

It is very dated and tired looking

Resort was good, but changed a bit since under new management. We were on top floor and people below us kept complaining because sand fell between the cracks or the deck, as if that was our fault.

Excellent

.

The views and outside area are stunning. Having more outside propane fire tables would be amazing The outside seating areas and access to the beach are incredible

Great view, rooms need help

The best place going for a relaxing stay with phenomenal view of the tides

The Clipper Ship is on a beautiful beach. Rooms have balconies overlooking the water. Rooms and decor are outdated but that doesn't matter so much because the beach and The view is fabulous.

after staying at the Clipper Ship a few times in the past we thought the room was in terrible condition, cramped and poorly supplied. And the cost was much too high for what it offered. The view was nice though.

Super location by the sea, we even had a wonderful full moon and sunrise from the patio! Everything was very clean, the bed was really comfy and we appreciated the amenities (fridge, stove, BBQ, microwave, coffee machine, etc.). Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view!

This motel is quaint (eg. my orange washroom) with a beautiful view of the shoreline! Rooms have balconies overlooking the beach. You can explore the beach, rocks, collect shells and wade in the shallow water. Many thoughtful supplies were put in the kitchenette, the washrm included a deeper sink for washing dishes, and the spacious fridge/freezer held all our ice packs. We had 2 rms, but didn't use the stove nor bbq as we were only there 1 night. The attentive staffperson kindly brought me a kettle too. A few electric outlets in the kitchenette didn't work properly, but the outlet on the stove worked (sorry, I didn't have a chance to report it to the staff). We'd stay here again if we are ever in the area.

I loved the view from the room and the sandy beach was a wonderful surprise. Staff was awesome! Loved everything about the place. Will be back.

Beautiful ocean view, complete kitchen with plates, pots and pans, BBQ and comfortable patio furniture. Perfect way to end your travel day!

Nice beach

Highly recommend! Amazing staff. Right on the ocean!

Great property, great room amenities. Would definitely come back here again. Beach is great as well.

Beautiful view of the bay and everything you need for a short stay. Enjoyed having a private deck. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Beach on the property

Great view. The staff responded to all our requests. Beds were very comfortable. The decks are amazing for viewing the Bay of Fundy.

Dislike… Shower had very little water pressure. Water was yellow. Room was very dated. Had to wash dishes in bathroom sink. Like…View was spectacular!!

Perfect place to stay on the water on the way to points North/East

Very small room but with a balcony overlooking Bay of Fundy. Perfect for a cozy couple.

Really nice spot. Room was very comfortable, fridge, oven and microwave. Staff were very helpful. We had gound up our own coffee to bring and noticed there was a machine that took pods. Asked at the desk if there was anyway to get a regular machine with filters and was provided one with lots of filters. Nice fire pit area and sandy Beach in front. Highly recommend the ocean view rooms especially the rooms with balconies. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect place to relax.

Love it there the view is beautiful 😍

We loved that our balcony overlooked the bay, and we had access to the beach. The beds were comfortable and the room was large. Having a full size frig and stove was handy, since there aren't any restaurants within miles. The only things that might be improved are provinding enough dishes for more than 1 person and newer towels.

Great stay! Beautiful ocean view.

We love the Clipper Shipp and stay here whenever passing through. Would definitely recommend!

I love staying at the Clipper Shipp. I always get the smallest room, which still has everything I need. I bring my food with me, and spend the time resting, walking the beach, reading, sitting on my own deck, watching the sun rise over the water. This time there were lots of children enjoying the beach too, and someone had fireworks after my bedtime. But I just opened my drapes, and enjoyed the view. One of my favourite places.

Very quaint. On the oceanfront.

They did a great job. The problem was that my bed wasnt ready. It was quickly fixed and the rest of the weekend went awesome. Thanks so much to the staff for what they do.

No satellite tv entire stay. Hockey play offs on. Promises each day to fix. Each day a new excuse. No propane for outside fire pits. Rooms not serviced every day. Talked to another traveller, who stated has been promised other benefits . Owner denied. We have stayed here before under previous owners. It was amazing. We realize there will be starting issues and hope that there are improvements and back to normal. It is truly a beautiful view and t so much to see and do during the day. At this time, unfortunately we will not return.

Great motel on the water wwith all you meed to enjoy the beautiful area. The staff were awesome and took care of all our needs ❤

convenient for a work trip, good sized suites and all necessary amenities

Amazing spot !

Very well appointed with full kitchen, deck with grill, spacious. And the ocean views from the room…spectacular!

stayed in a suite which had everything I needed for a work week - good idea to plan ahead for provisions as the nearest grocery store is about 20km away. It was winter but I still managed to get a few walks on the beautiful beach. Cozy stay, exceptional grounds clearing after a winter storm event.

Amazing sunrises at the clipper ship. We have been visiting this lovely place for 10 yrs

It’s perfect, they’ve thought of everything! Suggestion use ice melt on stairs and parking space, very slippery!

Paradise! Beautiful spot. They have thought of everything you could possibly need or want! Suggestion is to salt the entrances to rooms, very slippery as they get a lot of ice.

Can’t wait to go back in the summer so we can enjoy the scenery more!

Quiet w a great locale

Comfy, cozy, good stay .

Very convenient for my trip, clean, excellent check-in. Definitely works for me

The view is absolutely breath taking.

The facilities are getting a little bit older. The bedding and towels are good. Cleaning is average. Still one of the better places to stay between St John and St Andrews.

Would definitely stay again but earlier in the summer.

Always great to stay at the Clipper Shipp.

The efficiency unit was clean and spacious. The view of the Bay of Fundy was awesome. The staff very helpful.

It is a one night stay but thr room as a terrific view of the Bay of Fundy and a great fresh fish family restaurant nearby

BBQing on deck outside room overlooking inlet

We've been coming here for years. New ownership, but seems to be intact. Love it here. Rooms and view are fantastic

The view was amazing. They took full advantage of the view with the placement of lawn furniture and the deck with the gas table

Beautiful scenery

Set in a beautiful location on the Bay of Fundy and near New River Beach, this was an ideal stopping point on the way to PEI from New England. Far enough off the highway for solitude but still not far. Perhaps the towels and bedding could be updated (it was obviously clean and care had been taken throughout the room), but this would be my only complaint - showing its a age just a bit. But overall, no complaints and I would return.

Incredible views of the bay and when speaking with the staff they are cat friendly as well as dog friendly so when we come back we can bring our cats.

Location was great. Beach, deck with gas fireplace. Full kitchen, clean and staff very friendly.

Beautiful view but way overpriced for what you get. Very dated (but clean) no AC, no pressure in the shower, and paper thin walls so you hear everything. Didnt get any sleep at all as the neighbors were very noisy. Went to front desk and came up against a locked door...no assistsnce, only a note on the door

Nice view

Every room had a great view, large decks/balconies, beautiful sand beach that was even larger at low tide, extremely clean and all amenities provided. Planning on going back!

Stay was good and comfortable. Only thing I didn’t like was no kitchen sink. Really needs updating

The view pf Bay of Fundy is great. Near by dinnng is great. Staff friendly and helpful,

The views of the ocean from the room were amazing even in the fog. Each room had a balcony and a BBQ which was great if staying a few days. Full size fridge and stove in room as well. Thee space was small but well kept and very functional.

The property is absolutely gorgeous!! The front desk is very unorganized and not friendly. I hope the new changes and staff doesn’t ruin this piece of paradise!!!

Beautiful spot and would stay again

While some rooms could use a facelift, it was clean, quiet and just what we were looking for. Great beach for walking and exploring. Would stay here again.

Beautiful ocean view!

My gosh, the setting on the bay of fundy is outstanding. Could not be any better minutes to new river beach, from your own balcony steps to stairs to a beautiful beach. Staff could be more welcoming. Did get the feelng that we were a nuisance checking in. Room was clean and adequate, could use an update. This really is a hisden gem. Will come back to have first morning coffee on the beach.

Room was small but clean. Could use blackout curtains on the patio doors. But the view was amazing. It was lovely sitting on the patio, watching the waves on the ocean. I would go back again.

Beautiful area, room was comfortable

Its location was perfect, the view awesome. No air conditioning, but it had a fan. The lady that checked us in was less then friendly, it seemed like we were bothering her to tprocess our payment. In the morning when we were checking out, she was on the phone and couldn't be bothered to acknowledge us. Left our key on a table. But I still would recommend this motel for its price, location and closeness to the Bay Breeze Restaurant. We had a fresh fish burger there that was perfect and the service was awesome even though waitress had already worked a 8hr shift elsewhere before servicing a very busy crowd of customers.

Wry well keep place

Excellent place. Being stopping there for years Love it

Loved the location being right on the bay. The interior and exterior of the property is a bit outdated and the balcony could use a bit of repair but otherwise it was a great stay.

The view is fantastic. Well equiped .Restaurant nearby. 5 kms to a magnificent beach.

Ocean View. The property is in need of repair.

Beautiful views must stay :)

Fantastic location. Well maintained

If you are a non-smoker and are allergic to smoke, do not choose this motel for your vacation. This motel is for smokers. Although the rooms themselves are non-smoking, guests are allowed to smoke on the balconies and /or porches. Smoke drifts into nearby windows, which means non-smokers cannot open their balcony doors or bedroom windows --- so, no fresh sea air. Cigarette butts littered the pavement by my porch. Several people smoked right under my bedroom window on Saturday.

This motel is a really nice place to stay!! We took sea view and it was breathtaking. The place was really clean and even the sheets smelled good so we knew it was well washed. You’ve got way more for the price. Full size fridge, big dinning table, bbq outside and access to a griddle. Website pictures doesn’t do justice. It’s also like 2 minutes from New River Beach provincial park!! We were room 39: shower curtains not waterproof and water going trough. Shower head should be change since it’s spraying in all directions. We also asked for more towels and never received them. But desk lady was nice, she might have just forgotten. Good experience overall and we will be back for sure but longer next time.

A charming maritime stay in every respect.

Great spot for the kids. I sincerely hope the new owners keep up the maintenance as there's a lot of wooden decking

low tide good walking out on ocean floor
