The couple who ran the establishment were absolutely delightful!

Clean, quiet and convenient

First impression noticed was well maintained lawns and garden so you knew owners cared about it. The owners were extremely friendly and rooms were clean, fresh and felt welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

only stayed a night, it was great. The owner added benches and a samll bbq outside which was a bonus.

Excellent owners very friendly, the room was ready on time. The Property is neat and tidy outside, there are Picnic tables and BBQs customers can use. The room I was given was very clean, beds are new. Unfortunately due to cleaning products or fabric softener used I was unable to stay in that room. I'm allergic to some of those scents. After explaining the situation to the owners they were kind enough to let me stay in a bachelor apartment that is a weekly rental but empty at the time. There was not such an overpowering scent and I was able to open 3 windows and allow the breeze to blow through. It was a nice stay and I'm very happy with this whole experience. Note to me or anyone with scent sensitivity,, ask about a scent free room.

The location was perfect! Close to Walkerton. We had planned on taking a ride on the rail trail to Paisley the next day. Very clean and quiet rooms. The owners were both very friendly. We enjoyed the picnic tables in the yard for us guests to use. Honestly, we had the best sleep here 😊

Neat clean no fuss motel.

This is an older motel. It is very basic. The electrical system needs to be updated. The advantages are the location. It is in the country so it is quiet.

One of the electrical plugs didn’t work. The next closest plug had so many other things that needed it that a plug in electrical surge protector bar was provided. The microwave, TV, and refrigerator were using the plug. To operate the microwave, the TV and the refrigerator had to be disconnected. The microwave would operate for about 10 seconds and then trip if anything else was operating.

I found the owner's very friendly and accommodating to my early check in I also liked the location it was close to my daughter's reception and I found the room large enough to have my family in the room after the party I also found the bed comfortable and had zero problems at all it was a great value even though it felt dated it didn't matter at all to any of us it was clean warm and cozy .

The previous reviews & price convinced me to book here. Previous reviews were correct, friendly people, comfortable beds, clean and very dated. The room smelled of air freshener & was actually a sickening smell. No coffee maker but could go get coffee at the office - not very convenient. For people with mobility concerns, toilet is very low & bathtub is very slippery. No tub mat or grab bars. We did appreciate having the refrigerator & microwave.

I loved that it was within walking distance of the Saugeen river. We went for a swim there and had an absolute blast. Great motel, with excellent service.

It’s located in a town where all the grocery stores are located nearby. Room is specious and clean. Location is nice as it’s on the main road.

When you think of Motel's the expectations are usually low. I highly reccomend staying at the Lighthouse Motel, upon check-in greated with a smile and ease, walking into our room a pleasant smell of cleanliness made us feel welcome and made our one night stay enjoyable after a long drive. If I'm ever in Walkerton area again, I will stay at the Lighthouse Motel. *****

The Motel was quiet, convenient to find, and clean. The only thing was that there were no safety grab bars in the bathroom which made it a little dangerous. The Television only had 4 channels as well. Thank you

It was an amazing stay for the long weekend. Fishing close by. The owners are super friendly and the rooms are super clean. Our only complaint was the wifi lol it’s terrible. They need a wifi extender. We had rain….so we wanted to watch movies. They kept freezing like no tomorrow. Other than that….we highly recommend it 😃

Well kept and clean and welcoming

Everything was as it should be. Very clean and staff was very friendly. Only problem we had was toilet was too low for a senior. So was the chesterfield. Getting up challenging. Biggest issue was the noise from the heater. We did not say anything about it so hotel didn’t get a chance to fix anything

Room was good. Didn't have any smell to it. Bed was comfortable. Found a bug in the bathroom. Looked like a you know what. Other than that it was fine

Super nice little Motel owned by a super nice little couple. Old school Motel, clean. Best of all the Motel has three charging stations for electric vehicles! Great place to get a charge while getting a good night's sleep!

This is outside of Walkerton, but just a short drive. It is family owned and they are very helpful and friendly. They have EV chargers available for those with electric vehicles. The room was clean and if you need, it has a microwave and small fridge. We had a room with two queen beds that were comfortable.

The value for the price was unbeatable. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and it felt welcoming. There are BBQs and picnic tables outside, as well as stackable chairs you can move around. We enjoyed sitting at the picnic tables at night and looking at the stars. The location is quiet and feels private. The check-in office had great hours as well, they were open until 11 or 12 for check-in or assistance.

The fridge and microwave were tricky to plug in. Truly a tiny complaint with how great the place was. The outlets for the appliances were hidden behind a heavy dresser, but the staff were so kind, I am sure they would plug it in for anyone who doesn't have the strength to do it themselves.
