Beersheba Estate

The situation in a woodland property was nice. The interior was nice , although probably more rustic than luxury. It was good to have an open fire, because the living area was cold without it : perhaps a heat pump as well would be a good idea. We had to get lots more firewood from the woodpile especially kindling as we lit the fire each morning and evening. The living area was quite dark. The ducks outside were very noisy all night which was a bit disturbing. Overall however a different experience from amotel and rather like a rustic mountain cabin, so I would happily return.

We had been travelling in NZ for a couple of weeks and were feeling a bit tired. Our stay at Barsheeba totally relaxed us. It is a perfect place in every way. Beautiful gardens, wonderful room and sitting area and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Anne is the perfect hostess!

Great location outside town. The apartment is immaculately finished and has great amenities. Probably the best shower of our three week trip through New Zealand. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Their recommendation for dinner took us to the best restaurant we experienced on our trip!

Amazing little gem in Invercargill. Was visiting family for my birthday celebration and was looking around for a treat instead of a usual hotel/motel. It's such a lovely little place tucked away just outside of the city. You won't even remember you're in Invers. P.S: Watch the steps in the cottage bedroom. We all tripped on them..

Located in a quiet neighborhood on the rural edge of town, this is a beautiful property. The room and facilities are exceptionally well maintained and comfortable. We arrived on an evening without other guests and were upgraded. The hosts gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The breakfast was the best we have ever had at any bed and breakfast and the conversation was interesting and very pleasant. This would rank as one of the best B and Bs in our experience

We had a satisfying experience in all aspects - accomodation, setting, host attention and especiaaly the breakfast - set me up for the day.

One of the best B and B we have stayed in. Very private room with sitting room and ensuite bathroom. Room looked out over manicured garden. Breakfast was amazing! Host and hostess so helpful and friendly.

Owners Anne and Mike made us very welcome in their home and grounds. So nice to have a spacious room and garden to sit in. Breakfast healthy and superb. Would return if we can !

Had a wonderful time in Invercargill, we got lucky with the weather & it helps to have a friend take you around the "sights". Beersheba was a highlight for us. The owners were absolutely lovely & made us feel at home. Thank you for everything. Lovely room & outlook.

Albeit only a one nightstay, we were welcomed warmly and made to feel very comfortable. The property is set within a beautiful, expansive and mature garden, lovingly maintained by the Owners. In a semi-rural setting, it is only a 5 minute drive from the centre of town, hence there is easy access to everything that Invercargill has to offer. The room was large and facilities were ample. A fabulous breakfast marked the end of our stay. The Owners take pride in their home - they clearly love the diversity of guests that their B and B attracts, enjoy 'meeting and greeting', but at the same time respecting guests varying wishes for privacy. If you are after a quiet and relaxing environment, we are sure you will enjoy your stay here, brief or otherwise.

We had a wonderful stay. Owners were very welcoming, helped us plan our days in South Island (where to go, where to eat etc). We were served with a three course Breakfast that was absolutely divine! Definitely recommend!

Anne and Michael were so very welcoming from the moment of arrival. The room suite was very restful and spacious with our own lounge, it was like we had our own house. Breakfast was incredible and it was lovely to be in such peaceful and beautiful surroundings with lovely people as well as two gorgeous chocolate Labs. We would recommend this hotel t anyone who is looking for homely comfort in peaceful countryside surroundings.

We spent just a couple of days in this place for our 5 year anniversary and I cannot recommend it enough. The owners were so friendly and welcoming and looked after us on every detail. The breakfast is delicious and filling, the room was super comfortable and warm (it was -5 outside one night and we didn't feel it a bit). I would definitely go back another time.

Our hosts really made us feel at home. We had a very clean, comfortable room with everything we could want plus the use of our own lounge/TV area. Everything was presented to a very professional standard. The breakfasts were very tasty and suited our needs perfectly. Our hosts really went the extra mile for us providing not only "farmers socks" but also gloves. They gave us maps, information and brochures about the local area and things to do as well as great tips on where to eat locally and in the Southland area. Beautiful flowers in our room really was a special treat.

After surgery we had to stay overnight and the hosts took special care to heat the room and prepared a breakfast that I could manage to eat. It was like a home awy from home. Thank you!

First time for a B & B in NZ. Loved the friendly warm reception, lovely room and lounge, nice facilities and excellent breakfasts each morning. Charming place, lovely setting, friendly and delightful couple running it. After staying in hotels for the previous 3 days this was a breath of fresh air.

Anne and Michael provided a warm and welcoming stay at Beersheba. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. The gardens around the property were beautiful and a relaxing place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The bedroom and sitting room were spacious and enabled us to be in our own home away from home. Thoroughly recommended

Wonderful spa bath!

Beersheba provided a spacious luxurious stopover for us in Invercargill and the owners were delightful company and very helpful.

Beersheba Estate is a beautiful home with gorgeous gardens. Our 2 room suite was spacious, spotlessly clean and well appointed. There was a pleasant private outdoor seating area where we could sit and admire the grounds. The hosts were kind and thoughtful. They gave us many helpful tips for enjoying Invercargill. The breakfast was fantastic. We also enjoyed the sampling of NZ specialty treats that the hosts provided for tea time.

Great place to stay away from town or city Self catering allowed you the opportunity to enjoy the extensive gardens. Our hosts were relaxed and used to right level of contact with guests.
