Esplanade Motels

Friendly helpful staff, dog friendly.

Very clean, spacious and warm.

My Family loved the size of the rooms, They stated when they return they are going to book at Esplanade motels. Great space, confortable happy to return.

No dislikes.

We didn't have breakfast but the beverages bar was adequately stocked.

I would have liked to be able to turn the tv up as it was set on a low volume. Could only find the Sky remote. I found the pillows a bit hard.

Everything was perfect for your overnight stay.

Friendly, helpful staff. Big clean two bedroom unit with all the facilities. Comfortable beds.

On the main road don’t was a bit noisy at night and early morning.

Spacious two rooms.

Bathroom could do with an update

The motel is located very close to the centre of town and cafes/restaurants. The family unit has a spacious living area and two good sized bedrooms. Everything was clean. The staff are friendly. This is the second time we’ve stayed. The heat pump worked well and was needed due to the cold weather.

The condensation was really bad on all windows/sliding door very early in the afternoon and running down the glass in the morning.

Staff were very friendly and helpful; they had the curtains pulled and the heater on for our arrival. The Unit was clean and comfortable. Great location, as we travelled with a dog, right across the road from Hamilton Park.

Well laid out with excellent kitchen facilities.

All good

Clean, comfortable and staff very welcoming

Dryer did take several times to use to get clothes dry- but not to much hassle

A very warm, spotlessly clean and spacious unit with very comfortable beds.

Nothing

Didn’t have it.

Facilities for heating food were poor.

Very spacious and clean

The gas heater didn’t throw out much heat.

Excellent facilities, lovely staff who are helpful and thoughtful (room was warmed before i got there)

Wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

Very quiet as requested and roomy.

The place looked a lot more modern than the photos. It has a full kitchen and everything you need for a family stay. The staff at check in and throughout our stay were wonderful.

The bed was very hard

It feels very luxurious inside the rooms. And this is the only motel I’ve ever been to with underfloor heating in the bathroom!! Quiet, very comfortable. Lovely welcome. Good space for parking.

2-ply toilet paper?

Clean and comfortable 2-bedroom apartment. Friendly owner - highly recommend!

Convenient place for a stopover. Easy access.

Good location for the airport

Nothing to dislike

Warm and clean

Love a motel with lounge chairs

Slightly noisy due to being in the closest room to the main road

It was a very nice well equipped unit. I haven't seen such great amenities at a motel in a long time and spotlessly clean. I'd definitely stay there again. Very friendly host that made us feel welcome

Because we were in Unit 1 there was a lot of road noise

always go beyond to meet our demand.

nothing

Great wee unit. They were very accommodating for us. Very clean and tidy. Nothing we didnt like

Convenient location, had 3 bedrooms and everything we needed for a quick 1 night stop The motel host was lovely and helpful, very friendly. Good on site parking

No sink but we knew this before we booked so organised food accordingly. Location on main road was a little noisy and train line is nearby

A perfectly adequate, typical motel unit. Check in was simple and unit was clean.

We stay here every year because of the service. Accomodation is exceptionally clean & comfortable.

We ran out of hot water on first morning- didn't realize that our cylinder must feed other units. Great next day. Pillows were a tad thin but otherwise accomodation as good as always.

Clean & comfortable

Traffic, since it was right next to the motorway

The property was clean, and although a little bit dated, it was a great value for the money.

Daily cleaning service as l stayed there a week.

Very small bathroom sink like a camper trailer would have

During my 9-day trip to the South Island, this residence was the best compared to all my stays in other cities. I would recommend it to anyone moving to this area with their family. It’s a calm and quiet place, and all the necessary amenities were available in the 2-bedroom motel. The staff was very cooperative, and I loved this location.

Excellent facilities and really friendly staff

The rooms were spacious with extra sofa beds. The facility has everything we need and has a nice fireplace for cold days.

The bathroom can be remodeled better as it was too tight.

Very clean quiet and comfortable. Excellent customer service from friendly and welcoming owners.

There are no negatives at this motel.

Clean and tidy. Very comfortable.

No sinking in kitchen part, but dishes were taken care of,

Great location. Easy to find. Nice owners. Clean Facilities.

Betten waren gut. Ansonsten ruhig.

Great room, convenient location, host were super helpful and friendly

Hosts exceptional. Assistance provided to resolve an issue we had was beyond outstanding Facilities very comfortable and clean.

Nothing.

Despite being on the highway and near the rail line the room was quiet with the windows closed. Full 3 bedroom apartment with a lounge room was great value

The kind lady offered us an upgrade, which we gratefully accepted.

Nothing

Location was great, close to Gore but far enough to be quiet. We were located towards the back so not main road traffic. Ideal size for our whanau

The locality of the unit was very handy for us to where we wanted. The unit was comfortable...the bed was very good, and the shower was excellent...great water pressure! Although it wasn't a big unit, it had comfortable seating for us rather than having to sit on the bed in the lounge area.

Because it was a small unit, the kitchen was a bit of a juggle, particularly getting everything organised for breakfast in the morning. The hot plate didn't really have a place and it was a little hard to make an even temperature. I was keen to have a salad twice and couldn't find any bowl that could have been used as a salad bowl, had to use a pot... but that could be useful. I also wanted to whip some cream and ended up not bothering because I didn't have anything to whip it with... But these were personal things that a lot of people staying may not bother with.

Clean. Pet friendly

Door was hard to lock

Very accommodating hosts. Really good for the vaule of money and it was perfect for what we needed.

Nice a d quiet

Shower door is a problem!

Awesome place to stay, quiet and private and perk pets were allowed!

Can’t fault

Friendly staff, good location and room suited us as we were three siblings travelling. Three good size double rooms. Strange there was no sink in the kitchen. Good outside space and seating. Great for the summer.

Not much space in the living area for the family for incliment weather. Great space outside if weather permitted. A bit noisy being on the main road.
