Location was good for where we needed to be, quiet. Relaxing, and the birds were awesome

The electric blanket on the left side didn't work. No pressure in the shower. Hard to regulate between hot and cold temperatures in the shower... In the restaurant, dinner was fine, service was great. Portion size was awesome...however the steak was not cooked medium rare. Was rare on one part of steak. There was no consistency...

Room was very clean and comfortable. Our welcome to the property was great, no rush, nice and relaxed check in. Lovely staff on arrival and exit.

Probably just the drive way coming in and by our room, needs some maintenance but otherwise everything else was great.

I really appreciated the rooms it was very accommodating for our short stay. Despite their being a little hiccup the staff were absolutely amazing and fantastic to deal with the issues. I appreciated the communication with the Manager as she was very helpful in every way. The bed was comfortable after a very big afternoon as we traveled from Taranaki for a funeral. The shower was warm and the room heaters kept us cosy and warm. I appreciated the stay and recommended it to anyone travelling. Remember, if you have a small issue or a major issue, to respect staff with these concerns and communication with them as they deserve the aroha. They mean so well and are lovely to deal with! I definitely would stay here again. Thank yous again kindly for your amazing hospitality xx

The TUI suite was spacious and clean and well designed with everything needed for a nice day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I loved the bathtub. Also the location can't be beat can walk everywhere very quickly.

Mostly the bed was extremely uncomfortable, very soft and can feel the springs. The room cleaning was disappointing, the first day they didn't even come and when I asked them to clean on the second day, it was very minimal - for example they didn't make the bed or sweeps the floors. Also I was disappointed that the spa pool is out of service and looks like it has been for some time but still advertised as an amenity.

Very comfortable bed, pleasant outlook towards the hills. The room caught the afternoon sun which made it cosy until sunset. The heat pump, bathroom heat light and electric blanket all worked well to make the room comfortable even when the outside temperature was 0c. All the staff were friendly and having an on-site restaurant was a bonus during mid-winter.

Some people may find it a bit dated but in our view it adds to the charm of the place. The staff were amazing especially the lady at the front desk also if you like a decent meal I can highly recommend the on-site restaurant. A added bonus is the fantastic views will definitely return.

Showers - water not draining properly out of shower wet floor area, at times it reached the door to the main part of the room. Noise - could be heard from the generators No lounge seat or sofa to sit on

The reason why I booked Panorama is because I was attending a 60th birthday held there on the Saturday evening. I had also attended previous birthdays of Earl's and chose to stay at Panorama. Usually there is always a group of friends that choose to stay there in support of Earle's knowledge of local business. On the morning of Sunday, we decided to stay an extra night. I informed staff early Sunday morning that we would keep the room for another night. The first two days were already paid. I was speaking to Lynn?? and we agreed to meet around 4pm on Sunday afternoon. We went out for a drive and returned to the Motel before the agreed time to meet. She didn't show up so my mate and I went for dinner about 6pm. My mate Peter received a call from her about approx. 1900hrs. He checked us in on Friday night as I was arriving late after having flown into Auckland from Dunedin and then driving to Te Kuiti. When Peter had finished his conversation with her, he was very upset. He told me that she was absolutely rude towards him and stated to him that if we did a runner, she has ways of hunting us down. She also told him that she had entered our room. This was done without our consent. (An opportunity for staff to steal personal items?). There was no reason for her to act and threaten us in that manner. I had paid for the first two nights, and all our personal items were still in the room. On Monday morning, when I went to check out, I told the owner how disappointed I was with the way we were treated, but he neither apologized nor offered a discount. It felt like my concern was brushed off, leaving me feeling dismissed.

Price and location. Out of town and expensive. Shower flooded floor of bathroom.

Great place to stay at

This is a cost-effective, centrally located motel with a small kitchenette. The room has a lovely view over the rural landscape. Parking is very private and the room is clean. Nice to have a TV for relaxing.

The shower has decent pressure, though it could be stronger. The bathroom sink is very small and is shared between the kitchenette and bathroom use, with limited space for toiletries.

Restaurant dinner was perfect, Chef in there knows their stuff. Room and shower were like brand new, Kitchen was small but good, you have to get water from the bathroom for the jug and you need a cup or something to fill it, which was a little yuk for me, but the bathroom was clean, i would of brought water with me if i knew. Its a personal preference for me, Microwave was super clean. in fact everything in my room was clean and i would stay again in a heart beat. Bed was okay i stayed for one night and the TV was good, i could barely hear the next door neighbours so that was nice.

having to get water from the bathroom sink, again i would bring a bottle of water with me next time.

Tolle Lage, wir haben auf Nachfrage ein Zimmer mit Blick ins Tal bekommen. Die Gastgeberin war super freundlich und auch unterhaltsam ! Die Einrichtung ist sehr alt, aber alles sauber ! Im Vergleich zu den anderen Unterkünften in der Nähe der Caves sicherlich eine sehr gute Wahl.

The drive up to the unit was a little tricky. Loose gravel & was steep. If no other cars around you could turn your vehicle around otherwise you’d need to reverse out. Not a complaint but as says could be tricky for a non confident driver.

We were not impressed coming home from a family event at 10.30pm and upon going to unlock the ranch slider finding it not only unlocked but OPEN about 30cm! And all the back windows were wide open. Anyone could have gone in and helped themselves to any of our possessions or done anything in there after the cleaner obviously left everything open in the morning when it was serviced. Parking was an issue too because it’s very limited and if one car parks incorrectly it is very difficult to park.

Room was small. Hard to find the office. Bathroom fan was leaking water. And noisy. WiFi was useless. Meal wasn't cooked to our liking and expensive.

A minor issue with our booking was resolved with ease and grace, and the personnel was very kind and helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant in the evening and the food was absolutely excellent. The whole experience - perfect for our trip. I definitely recommend Panorama Motor Inn.

A magnificent view of the surrounding hills and countryside. The restaurant provided an excellent meal for us. The bed was very comfortable, and it was a quiet and peaceful location.

No air conditioning, but we didn't miss it at all as there was a fan, heater and electric blanket for the vagaries of the temperature.

Owner was exceptional we needed an early check in so we could prepare for the wedding we were in town for. He made it happen with absolutely no fuss. Thanks so much

The room had a recently refurbished feel. It felt fresh and clean.

Had trouble with the shower, the mixer wasn't functioning well so it was a cold shower or give it a miss scenario.

Bardzo miły i pomocny personel, miła pani na recepcji i super pani w restauracji w obiekcie. Restauracja w motelu ma bardzo smaczne dania, brawo dla kucharza.

Obiekt jest mocno oddalony od miasteczka, a pokój jest malutki.

The unit was immaculately clean and fresh, staff were friendly and hospitable.

Our studio was next to a noisy generator room and the heavy transport route close by made for a restless night.

We had somewhere to sleep, it was clean.

Very noisy, on a main highway on a hill, heavy trucks going up and down the hill at all hours.Their driveway and entrance in to the place badly needs tarsealing again. it is named Panarama Motel, you cant see the view for the trees that have grown too tall.

Die Lage war für ein Motel sehr schön und wie der Name schon sagt, ein toller Panoramablick, vorallem, wenn man das Endzimmer im Haupthaus hat. Auch der Service, wenn notwendig, und das angeschlossene Restaurant sind erwähnenswert.

Das Internet ist sehr schlecht und wohl reduziert. Teilweise hatten wir gar keinen Empfang bzw. Konnten uns nicht verbinden oder warf uns während des Surfens einfach raus. Ging gar nicht.

The room we had could use some updating. The decor really needed to be updated. The rug was not so clean as was the upholstery on the chairs. The bed was ok but no headboard. Outside, there was fences needing replacement, they were falling over.
