Lovely house in a peaceful setting with pretty views, the breakfast was good and the host was very friendly and helpful.

Perfection in any detail (cannot find anything you don’t like)!

The farm was beautiful and the hosts Lisa and Anthony were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Our room was really comfortable and had a little balcony overlooking the farm, which was perfect for an evening drink or morning coffee! Breakfast included continental options, which was really tasty, and we also had the opportunity to buy one of Lisa's paintings (a gorgeous memento). We'll definitely be back next time we're in Waipu.

Great location if you're driving but if you're wanting to walk to the local beaches or amenities then they're a decent 15-20min with minimal sidewalks.

Beautiful home on 20 acres near the coast. Lovely spacious room. Antony was very kind and welcoming with good tips for ongoing travel.

I messaged the property twice to remind them that my wife was coeliac. The only option for her at breakfast was GF toast. The muesli had oats in it. A bit disappointing.

The house is beautiful and my room was really pretty and comfortable. The location was beautiful with a short drive to get some dinner.

The shower pressure was a little erratic but overall it was very comfortable.

Beautiful house with lovely furnishings. Helpful hosts who were interesting to talk to. Lovely spacious bedroom and a comfortable bed. Everywhere was very clean.

Would have been nice to have had a bar fridge in the room. There was nowhere to keep one's own drinks cool and there was no milk provided in the room for the tea and coffee. There was equally no milk made available throughout the day in the dining room for the complimentary tea and coffee laid out. The breakfast was good but some more cereals perhaps could have been provided and possibly some toast made available. There was no butter on the table for the pastries. It was advertised that a complimentary beer and wine would be available each night between 6pm and 7pm but nothing was laid out and the hosts were not readily available to offer it.

Breakfast was lovely and fresh. Pastries were made on site by the Hosts daily. Delicious.

Maybe attention to a few Rips in curtain and lounge suite. The sink tap next to the bed had a drip.

Everything was amazing

Lisa & Anthony are lovely hosts! Their Waipu Cove home is beautiful and our room & bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Lots of windows so wonderful light & views of their property. Breakfast was delightful and conversation with fellow guests was enjoyable. Love the black sheep, beautiful young cows and walking on their property. Gorgeous beaches & beach walks nearby.

We stayed here for 2 nights late March and loved the place & the entire area so much. I chose Blacksheep Farm as it was high quality in its B&B sector & its reviews were great. We enjoyed our stay & it's super attentive hosts & the breakfasts were great.

Enjoyed our stay here at Country Homestead at Black Sheep Farm. The accommodation is on a working farm in a great location and has everything you need for a nice say. Exceptional views from the balcony of our bedroom across rolling hills and down to the ocean. Breakfast was provided and included some freshly baked pastries which was a nice touch. The hosts Lisa and Anthony are very nice and helpful and have been running this house for many years. They provided helpful tips and some sights to see on our drive back to Auckland. Car parking is also provided. Overall, we had a really nice stay at this place.

Everything was fine! Something to note for other visitors was the water pressure can be a bit hit and miss but I believe the property is on water tanks so that is expected.

Beautiful area. Quiet location but close to beach and town. Hosts are fabulously welcoming and full of ideas on what to do/where to go.

We only had 2 nights. We would have stayed longer!

There is nothing not to like about this place. The owners were awesome, the room really sweet, the nature around it was stunning. A glass of wine or beer in the late afternoon provided by the owners. Fresh baking in the afternoon. A hidden gem!!!!!

Lovely big room in a beautiful home on a gorgeous sheep farm near Waipu Cove. The breakfast was delicious assembly of fruits w/ yogurt, warm croissants, fresh oj and even coffees to order. Super nice hosts- highly recommend this stay.

Nothing not to like, just be mindful that you will need a car as the roads nearby would not appear to safe to walk on.

The house way beautiful. We felt very welcome. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts made so much effort.

The cob webs in our room but understand the ceiling is really high. The walls were very thin so we could hear the people in the room next to us.

Anthony and Lisa are amazing hosts, they take good care of their house and their guests. We didnt want too leave. The breakfast is also fantastic, makes you feel like home.

What an absolutely charming home. Our hosts Anthony and Lisa were tremendous. The views were fabulous, the room very comfortable and the back garden lovely for a relaxing moment under the canopy of some amazing old trees. Breakfast was delicious with some very special home baked touches. Some very good tips from our hosts for dining in the area and driving to Brick Bay for an absolutely wonderful morning of walking through a kauri forest filled with interesting sculptures.

A beautiful home in a great location. The family were warm and welcoming and the breakfast was amazing. Nice large room that was comfortable with a good view. Highly recommend.

Hosts were lovely, and the room was reasonably large. The outlook and location were lovely.

Dead blowflies, live spiders and old spiderwebs were a little too common so a real good clean was needed. The bathrooms are old and the water pressure in the shower fluctuated if another guest used their shower at the same time. The walls were thin so we could hear other guests‘ conversations which makes it uncomfortable to talk in your own room. Lastly, the owners had a collection of shoes in the entrance which may have been because they were doing some painting in their part of the house, but it wasn’t a good look.

Homely and welcoming. We enjoyed a good, quality breakfast with homemade muesli, fresh orange juice, fruits, yoghurt , pastries and toast. Homemade preservatives. Great coffee.

Spacious, comfortable room with a seating area and views out over the countryside to the sea. Hosts were very friendly and hospitable. Excellent continental breakfast included with homemade pastries and great coffee. Short drive to nearby Waipu Cove and a good eatery for dinner. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Be aware there is no TV in the room but a comfortable communal lounge area for guests with streaming services.

The hoses were very accommodating, the room large, well appointed with all you could require. Lisa and Anthony both extremely helpful.

Superb breakfast. Great hosts. Wonderful grand piano playing. Gorgeous black sheep. The view from our room was magnificent.

The bathroom is needs some hand rails in various locations and is a little dangerous for old folks.

The continental breakfast offered many options but the icing on the cake were the beautiful home made croissants out of the oven.
