Bay Vista Waterfront Motel Picton

We had an amazing 2 night stay. The location was peaceful, unit was beautifully presented and the friendly welcome made us feel right at home. We would definitely stay there again!

Travelling in winter, do not get there late in the day. Despite being a port, nothing was open for groceries or dinner when we arrived.

Secluded property in a residential area but just 5 mins from Picton town center. Fantastic views of the Bay from living room. Staff is very welcoming and courteous.

Great spot

Just a short drive into town, this place is really quiet and pretty. There is a pub on the waterfront within a 20min walk that is open all day. A lovely peaceful location.

The property setting is incredible! Really hard to beat. Individual patios lead to waterfront where boats are moored. Hills beyond with easily reachable moderate hike of Snout's Track. Park at the Snout's Track Carpark and walk 40 mins to Queen Charlotte View. Modern rooms. Laundry very convenient. Owner Rachel is very helpful and upbeat! Town less than 5 mins drive.

Fabulous view over the bay and to the mountains beyond. Quiet location a 5 min drive from Picton centre. Our room (no.3) was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. Rachel and her staff are great - we were given a warm welcome on arrival and they were helpful throughout our stay.

Wonderful location,beautiful private spot. Clean,quiet, good laundry facilities. 10 minutes to downtown. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place! Super clean & comfy with all the amenities you could want. Gorgeous view & extremely helpful staff. Did laundry on site & got takeout food from nearby so we could eat on the outdoor porch with great views. Even better than the pics online. Highly recommend!!

The views were gorgeous and the rooms were nice, but we could have done without the cockroach in the bed.

Stunning wee motel, clean tidy and beautiful view. We were greeting by a lovely bubbly host and advised on where a good local spot was for dinner. Room was warm with a heater already turned on for our arrival.

Stunningly beautiful veiw from the room. If you love sailboats in the harbor and ducks on your lawn you will love this place. Amazing value for a little piece of Paradise. We will stay a week next time.

Easy access and heaps of room

The room was excellent, nice size. Views are excellent and bathroom had hot shower with good pressure. The host Rachel was lovely and went above and beyond to be helpful. Really recommend this spot!

Beautifully situated overlooking the marina. Spotlessly clean and well-equipped with easy parking. Short drive to Picton centre or a walk to the local restaurant/pub to eat.

The property was easy to fine , beautiful waterfront setting , very friendly and helpful staff , needed a place that was wheelchair accessible andvit was , inside was clean and fresh would give it a ten out of ten highly recommended well done bayvista you done a outstanding job

This is a great location and away from the main part of town yet very accessible. Self contained so option to self cater or eat out - or do both. Great walks short and long from this location and the views are forever changing.

Fabulous quiet location. Clean and nicely presented. I’d stay here again. Loved watching the birds on the lawn while looking at the view of the boats, mountains and water. Staff extremely helpful.

Idyllic setting exactly as photographed in brochure. Rachel is a superb host and Mani an exceptional housekeeper. Poured with rain whole time we were there but reading inside with such an exquisite view was the perfect place to spend a wet week. A real little gem! Highly recommend! We’ll be back!

Amazing place to stay...been on the bay access to the water was great and private with park like grounds were amazing. Had great time paddleboarding in the bay and staff were friendly.

Great location 10 min out of town, clean with a stunning view of the bay.

It was simply beautiful. Gorgeous setting calm and peaceful. The unit was excellently set out and oh it was just a fantastic restful couple days at this wonderful wonderful motel. The people who run this them and their staff so so friendly and chatty and made us feel totally like home away from home. Will stay again for sure.

The view from our room was phenomenal. We had a party of three. There was a bedroom with a queen size bed and a single in the front where my adult son slept with the incredible view. The front desk lady was wonderful, helpful and friendly. The room has everything you need with dishes, stove top and oven. I totally recommend this place.

Right on the waterfront and only 8 minutes to the inter islander ferry terminal. Exactly as pictured on line.

Checking in was fantastic and so easy with Meana (Spelling ?). She was so friendly and welcoming, we felt right at home immediately. She showed us around the room with all the amenities and then was kind enough to recommend a place close by for dinner.

Lovely view and lovely Manager who was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The beds were way to hard for us and my back has taken a couple of days to recover. The water pressure in the shower was very weak. The units are well equipped and in a good location.

Stayed one night receptionist amazing at the office. Well what a we gemstone Picton we will be back. The setting just wonderful all native birds and even got to see a white Herron paddling in the tranquil bay Beautiful bay and views and of course the accommodation was very clean and everything you would need . The room was spacious and comfortable. There was also a kitchenette and a reasonably priced guest laundry room. The patio has great views of Waikawa Bay and beyond. Overall, this is a great place to stay when in the Picton area.

Had a very pleasant one night stay. Found the rooms very clean with a lovely view from the grassed area to the shore. Will stay there again.

The motel is 5 mins drive from town, so instead of arriving ferries all night, it's set in lovely gardens with all large rooms having a private terrace and views over the lawns down to the water front and the sound and mountains beyond.

Lovely outlook and comfortable, clean accommodation. Hotel manageress helpful and friendly. Ideal location for quick transfer to inter island ferry.

Really enjoyed the short stay in the hotel. Excellent service, clean, modern and spacious rooms with beautiful scenery. We plan to visit again the next time we are in Picton.

Great experience with booking in, hotel a bit old but comfortable. Need to drive to town. Overall good.

My wife a I stayed for 4 nights and were very impressed with our host Lillian , she was very polite and helpful .

The owner/manager Jillian was wonderful to work with. She was accommodating, and incredibly kind. Definitely worth a look if you are visiting the area.
