Location is perfect. You're within walking distance to a great coffee shop. The rooftop patio is lovely. And the staff are fantastic. Everyone from the front desk, all the way up to the rooftop patio bar, were absolutely stellar.

There is a lot I did not like about this hotel, and it really surprised me. First the room. Although it was nice and the bed was comfortable, the window looking out was filthy. The air conditioning worked well, except it did very little to combat the humidity, and so it just felt damp in the room. The rooftop, which is spectacular, is not available to guests during the day. It's only open after 3 or 4 p.m., and there just isn't another place to sit or spend time that's very nice anywhere. The parking garage filled up with conference attendees, so we had to park down the street, which was inconvenient. The parking spots are so tiny that if you have a truck or a larger vehicle, you’ll use more than your space. There was supposed to be a $15 per day food and drink credit included with my reservation, which no one seemed to know anything about. Then lastly, there is a resort fee, which they call a destination fee. This was never disclosed up until I arrived at the property. Problem is, this is not a resort. It does not have resort amenities. It just seemed like a way to nickel and dime your guets, and I found it to be obnoxious. All in all, this was not a good value, and I would not stay here again.

The location and surrounding venues were conveniently located within walking distance. Additionally walking around you felt safe and it was great to not have to use a car to go to a great restaurant or an art gallery. There are great places to eat morning and evening. Comfort was great! The air conditioning in the room and in the halls were working 100%. The bed and linens were great that I actually got a good night's sleep.

Staff could have been friendlier. The only staffer that was energetic and friendly was the overnight desk manager when we were checking out at 5am. I could have given a single staff member a pass for not being friendly, I understand we have our bad days and not be 100%. But for a four night stay from morning to evening and walking through the lobby and halls, more staffers could have been friendlier. It gave me the impression that everyone working there received bad news. The shades on the lighting above the nightstand were "water stained". Wondering what type of moisture happened to make them look like that. Attention to detail would be helpful to catch these things. If most of the staff was friendly and catching easy things to fix in the room, I would have given high scores across the board to include being a great value.

The only negative was the shower. The pitch on the curb to the shower was in the wrong direction which flooded with the bathroom.

They don't clean your rooms unless you request it. I wasn't aware of that so for the duration of my stay my room didn't get cleaned.

I wanted to be between Dripping Springs and Austin, and Bee Cave is about halfway between both. Additionally, the Sonesta is right next to the Galleria, offering proximity to shops and restaurants.

The light bulbs in the room were not the best and consequently the room ended up seeming slightly dim and dingy (it wasn't, the room was clean). The bathroom tub/shower

Timothy at the desk was extremely rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional during check in. It was extremely obvious that he hates his job and being customer facing.

I loved the Location and it was very friendly.

The Service at The Meridian 98 was despicable. The Poor waitress on Friday night was overwhelmed and very upset. We asked for Sprite 3 different times over 45 minutes. My husband asked for a drink 3 times the last time he went up to the bar and the bartender said she didn’t even have order.

My daughter is a competitive tennis player and there are high level tournaments in the vicinity of the Sonesta. It's a perfect hotel for these events, comfortable, quiet and clean. Situated in a mall with a Whole Foods and restaurants, so everything I need is close by. The Sonesta also has a great rooftop restaurant with healthy food options.

I have no complaints, as long as I come back to the Austin area for junior tennis tournaments with my daughter, I'll be choosing the Bee Cave Sonesta.

Checkin staff wasn’t very friendly or welcoming but did provide waters. Room was nice, pool was great, restaurant was excellent. Restaurant staff were super friendly.

The hotel is nice, and the location for the purpose of our trip was great

Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The bathroom floor had hair on it, shower too. Unacceptable. One morning we asked the front desk to send somebody to clean and they said they would, when we came back in the afternoon the room was not clean. We had to call housekeeping, they came later. Next morning, we noticed they didn’t even leave coffee, really? Not very happy about those things. The price is too high for what the hotel offers.

We had a great time here. First the front desk staff upgraded our room with a pool view. We like their pool with nice view. And lastly they gave us some grace period check out. Overall I'll give them a 5 star!

We stayed here for an entire week while visiting family in Bee Cave. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet. We were thankful to be able to walk easily to the mall and especially to Whole Foods. We will definitely be staying again.

It was clean in a central location with a lot of amenities around it. The bar upstairs has a great view, there is a small gym and there is a really nice pool.

I would be nice to have the option of having coffee service in the room.

I liked that you needed your room key to access any of the floors with rooms. Especially since the garage is indoors and uses the elevator. What I didn't like... Automatically adding a "Destination Fee" and "Other Fee" to the bill. For what? To use the pool, bottled water at check-in, transportation to the Galleria which is 2 blocks away...give me a break.

Booked a room with two queen beds directly, but upon arrival, we were told there were none available due to “water damage.” Instead, we were given a king room and told a rollaway would be brought up. It didn’t arrive until 11 p.m., and it felt like lying on bare springs. Our son ended up sleeping on the couch. To make things worse, our alarm was set for 6 a.m., presumably by a previous guest, and woke us up far too early. We couldn’t get back to sleep after that. When we spoke to the front desk the next morning, we were told the reason for the room issue was that the hotel had been overbooked. We insisted on being moved to the correct room type for the following night, as our son had barely slept. In their defense, they did comp us for one night, but only after we had to ask for it. The night staff who initially checked us in was rude and unhelpful, brushing us off by repeatedly saying how “busy” they were. Meanwhile, we watched a single housekeeping staff member struggle to deliver huge rollaway beds to multiple floors, while the front desk worker stood idly on the first floor, not assisting despite another staff member already covering the desk. The room itself was not very clean, dusty and poorly maintained. The entire hotel felt run-down. The rooftop bar furniture was especially disappointing: all the leather seating was peeling badly and looked dirty and tacky. It gives off the impression of a hotel that’s overpriced and poorly managed. It’s really unfortunate, because the location is excellent. If there were more hotel options in this area, I would have chosen differently. Sadly, I would not stay here again.

We loved the vibe at Sonesta! It has a resort type of feeling from the time you walk in, to the smell of the lobby and the crispness of the bed sheets!

We enjoyed our stay overall. The room was clean and comfortable. Service at the front desk was fast and nice. The only downside is that the parking was too narrow either in space or height. There was a section where car height clearance was low (something like 5’ 8”) and it seemed a bit dangerous.
