We stayed for 6 nights for our daughter's wedding in Brookings, Oregon. We had been on an Alaskan cruise and traveled from Seattle down the Oregon coast for the week in-between the cruise and the weding. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. After being on the road in two prior hotels, we apprecated a nice bed. The hot water and water pressure in the updated bathroom was excellent. The staff was very friendly each time we visited the front desk. You could tell they were locals who were proud of their community and hotel. Breakfast was a great option each morning for fresh coffee and hot food if needed. We used the laundry services once because we had been on the road for 2 weeks prior to our arrival and second because we had gotten our jeans dirty and wet hiking in the redwoods and on the beach. The laundry option for $1.50 a load seemed reasonable to us. We would have liked for the room to have a safe for our laptops while away on adventures. The carpet in our room had some stains. It might be nice to turn the whole room into vinyl plank flooring. The access to the beach and the harbor with restaurants was phenomenal! Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel while staying in Brookings, Oregon. It is actually a Best Western although you might never know it until logging into the wifi. I think that helped bring up the standards of the hotel compared to some of the other Mom and Pop motels in the area.

The view oceanfront

Poor communication they don't answer the phone. Very strict with checkin at 4 no earlier even if rooms are available. Said they would call when available but didn't. This place was nice 20 years ago, I decided to give it one more try do to the fact our go to place was booked. Paying an extra $150. to stay in a rundown hotel is not worth it. Mold in the bathroom. The whole place needs to be refurbished. I guess they justify the high prices because they are the only hotel oceanfront in Brookings. Don't waste your money.

This lovely hotel sits on a stunningly, rugged beach. Our room was very large and had a breathtaking view of the ocean. The room was especially nice. Stocked with every amenity needed for a relaxing stay. If you’re traveling though Brookings, Oregon, this is the best place in town. Stop looking. You won’t find anything nicer.

The trail to the beach, you have to find the path through all the Driftwood, and it's hard to get back on the property because of it. No North side path either, just doesn't make sense!

Always a good time! I travel from Arizona every few years to spend time here with friends and their dog. Close to some great restaurants. You'll love it.

Parking near the rooms can be limited at night. The beach access area has a lot of driftwood, and a clearer, safer walking path would be helpful. The complimentary breakfast was convenient, but the quality was fairly average.

The balcony is not much of a balcony. It’s wide enough for a chair to be sideways. We did not spend any time of it.

Wonderful room with a separate toilet closet, delicious breakfast that is included with stay, beverage bar that is always available is a wonderful touch, professional personnel, lovely beach view with crashing waves.

The location was nice with the beach close. Watching the pelicans and walking the beach were highlights. Several dog friendly restaurants are near the motel and we enjoyed both RH Pub & Grill and the Fat Irish Kitchen & Pub.

The breakfast at the motel was mediocre with powdered eggs and the sausage wasn't browned. The location was nice with an ocean view but the amount of driftwood made it difficult to maneuver to the beach and to see the beach from the 1st floor room. The outdoor space of the room consisted of a very narrow railed patio that didn't allow for convient access to walk the dog. Because we had a dog we were required to have a first floor room which was especially noisy with the upstairs guests overhead. The motel is supposed to be dog friendly but the restaurant doesn't have any dog friendly outdoor areas. Overall, the room was no where near worth the more than $400 a night cost.

Location in a perfect stop before going to the Redwood national Forest. We asked for a extra bed for one of our grandchildren and one was rolled in before we even walked in the door. Coastal access and views all day long. Quiet and lovely. We all give it a thumbs up.

The ocean view was great! Breakfast was really good and service was excellent.

We've been drawn to this hotel for decades because of its location on the beach and near the docks. Many families and dog owners enjoy the hotel beach and other amenities; any noises are drowned out by the waves or muffled by the thick walls. On our last visit when we had some troubles at check-in, the staff and manager went out of their way to accommodate us.

Nice hotel, rooms are a little dated but not bad. The view and ocean make up for it. Wish we would have stayed longer than one night. Hearing the ocean with the doors shut was amazing!

This has been a favorite for many years. We wanted to share it with our kids and grandkids. We started coming when it was a Best Western in 2007. But not being able to get into the rooms until after 4:30 for one of the rooms and after 5:30 for the other although we reserved well in advance was a huge disappointment. These were the most expensive rooms of our entire trip . Then not be allowed a late check out until noon mid week was ridiculous. Missed valuable time just waiting.

The hotel was in a beautiful spot on the coast. The rooms were clean and the view from the room was incredible! We chose this hotel from the pictures which did not disappoint. Being dog friendly made the final decision!

People were very nice, but the motel and room was disappointing. They had no elevator so be prepared to haul your things possibly up 3 floors and no air conditioning only a box fan. Had patio door open during the evening but got up to 77 inside at night. The front door was very dirty and the bathroom door appeared to be stripping. Neither of the patio doors would lock - broken. We were excited for a beach front room but very disappointed in the beach. It was so dirty with fireworks cans, dog poop, and tons of wood you have to step over to even get to the water. Disappointing especially for the price tag and it’s the motels private beach. Not maintained

Lovely hotel minus non-functioning hot tub and restaurant that closed super early (8pm). Staff oddly very indifferent to our disappointment about the hot tub....no sympathy, no offers of anything to help situation.

Overpriced, made my reservation in advance yet still had a handicap room that required stairs to get to. (Elevator was packed with kids so busy.) as I said, we were shoved into the “other” building where driftwood was so high you couldn’t see the beach. I feel for $300 plus per night, could have been better . paid $50 a night for two small breed dogs as well. So far $350 a night I had an oceanfront room where I couldn’t even see the beach.

We have loved this hotel for over 25 years. However, it is now rundown and sad. When we were checking in, we requested a corner room with no pets. The room we got was not corner, and there was a gross brown (I'm assuming pet) stain in the middle of the room on the carpet. The frames around the doors were badly nicked (understandable, with suitcases coming in and out) but there was no evidence of touching them up to improve the appearance. We decided to drive back to Ashland and endure the wildfire smoke. Won't be coming back.

Close to the beach!

This is the perfect spot for a night on a trip through the coast. The view is awesome and the beach access is easy, after you step over a bit of driftwood, lol. The room is more than adequate and the bed was perfect. They offer a free "hot" breakfast which was surprisingly good. If you are a biscuits and gravy fan, don't miss this one. Good coffee and eggs and sausage made for an excellent start to the day. Also the coffee in the room was okay, we do like it strong so not that excited about it. The staff is friendly and check in/ check out was simple and efficient. Highly recommend.

A máquina de venda de água não estava funcionando (não tinha água, apenas outras bebidas), e como já estava de noite, acabamos matando a sede com refrigerantes. Acho que poderia haver um filtro ou alguma coisa disponível para enchermos as nossa garrafas.

it was overall a great experience we will be back!! Short walk to the beach with a clean room comfortable beds / pillow. Pet owners please actually throw your dog crap bags in the trash and not on the beach or grass its super rude as a guest in a place that is dog friendly!!

Clean would best describe the hotel area. Reception was spot on with no wait. Lobby smelled fresh like it was just cleaned. Room was almost spotless. Bathroom sparkled. It was small though with only one sink. Entire room was overall very clean. Headboard had some dust on top but nothing major. TV drawer stand had a bad nick in the corner. Furniture complimented the carpet or vice versa. Bed was just the right firmness. Pillow a little too soft for my liking but usable. Tub faucet would not allow entire transfer of water to shower head. Water pressure was still good though. Towels were nice and fluffy and even had a face cloth for removal of make up. Maintenance of room doors, Stairwell hand rail area and steps could use a little more attention to detail as it looks neglected. Beach has a lot of driftwood and some areas could use some clean up.

We had a great time at the Beachfront Inn. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony, listening to the waves crash. The room was spacious, and comfortable.

Beautiful view. Bit of an older hotel, but still has charm and was clean and accessible for our son in a wheelchair- even on the second level! Breakfast was a good assortment and filling! Loved walking on the beach and tidepooling. Would stay here again!

My husband and I drove from Florida for my son's wedding. Chose this hotel for it's beach front location on the Oregon Coast. We couldn't be more pleased with this property, Lots to look at right from our balcony - people on the beach, boats in the ocean, pelicans diving to catch fish. Housekeeping was great! Nice bedding and room decor. Very Happy!

For more than $400 per night, I expected a better experience. Unfortunately, this hotel fell far short. If this motel were priced like an average motel it is, I would have had much more reasonable expectations and likely left a much more positive review. My biggest issue is that the quality of the property simply does not match the premium price they charge. The property feels dated and poorly maintained, and the staff were neither friendly nor welcoming. Our room had an odd, unpleasant smell as soon as we walked in. The walls were covered with multiple paint touch-ups that didn't even match the original paint, giving the room a neglected appearance. The bathtub drained so slowly that you ended up standing in several inches of water while showering. Even more concerning, the sliding glass door wouldn't lock properly and instead had a makeshift security bar placed in the track. The hotel also doesn't provide room service, claiming it's for "privacy reasons." At over $400 per night, there should be some level of housekeeping or guest service provided. I originally booked a pet-friendly room because I thought I would be traveling with my dog. When my plans changed, I called to switch to a smaller, non-pet room. I was told that because I booked when rates were lower, changing rooms would increase my rate to **more than $500 per night**—for a smaller room. That pricing only reinforced my feeling that this hotel charges far more than the experience it delivers. The only thing this hotel has going for it is its location. There simply aren't many lodging options in Brookings, and it feels like they know it. Instead of providing an experience that matches the price, they seem to take advantage of the lack of competition. I booked this hotel because of the many positive reviews, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I'm honestly confused by the number of glowing reviews because they did not reflect what we experienced. Don't be fooled like I was, and don't let the price set your expectations. If you choose to stay here, lower your expectations accordingly—this property is nowhere near worth what they charge.

Amazing location. We had a room with a beautiful view of the beach, and walking distance to the beach. Very nice spacious room. We enjoyed our stay. A few suggestions: The toilet seat is very low - is that for children, I am not sure. Also the chair in the room was old and sank down a lot. I would also change the light over the sink, It was so bright that it was impossible to see myself in the mirror, blinding, Also, the bathtub drained slowly and I had to down the flush to make sure that the toile worked properly.

Location is good, right on ocean front, but slightly out of main town so was pretty quite. Rooms are roomy and comfortable. Staff was helpful when we had a checkin delay by an hour and half since they didn't have a cleaned room available, but eventually it was resolved. Breakfast isn't anything to write home about, so even though it was included, we still went out to get coffee and picked up something for breakfast. We'd stay here again due to the good location.

We stayed in #332. Best room so far, and we’ve stayed in a lot of their rooms! Sadly, no table to dine at, no couch to sit on…no room for either - but that view!!! There were some cleaning issues. Ceiling vent in bathroom was furry with dust, ceiling had dead bugs caught in spider webs, line of furry dust in door jam, ceiling light above sink had dead bugs, a lot of furry dust at foot of headboards, on cords on floor, and the duvet cover had tears in it! I was sneezing & coughing, thought it was allergies, guess I was right…

Right on the beach. We actually had sliding doors that opened onto a trail to the beach with a view directly to the beach. And everything else was clean, nice, a fair deal! 😄

I left this review on Google Map and I am pasting it here: the front desk staff are friendly but the room is not good. Most importantly, the WiFi signal is very weak and our phones could not conn to the Internet. The balcony door and screen is dirty, the floor screeches, and the fan included in the room is filled with dust. I paid over two hundred dollars and I don’t think this is as branded as the website describes and therefore I do not recommend staying here.

Beds bedding Balcony

We stayed here for 1 night and it was a lovely stay. The team were very helpful and welcoming letting us check in early and giving us some ideas on what to do. The room was nice, a little noisy ( could hear others walking around etc) but the views were just amazing and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore made for a great nights sleep. The pool area and spa were nice sadly not in the sun in the afternoon so plan Your time. Acres to the beach is easy and it’s. A quick walk along to the river. Access to town require a drive

Great location in Brookings, on the beach with my furry companion. Comfortable accommodations and friendly service with great surroundings to walk and play. A great stop when traveling solo with my dog.

We had a beautiful view of the ocean and were able to watch the boats come in and out of the bar. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Listening to the ocean waves was very relaxing.

Needs a LOT of maintenance inside and outside!! Needs breakfast planning as they ran out of items. Needs desk check-in clerks that can be quick.

I would stay here again. Its on the beach, free breakfast, parking and close to Fat Irish resturant and that was really good.

Let me first say that this is a lovely inn with great ocean views and a tasty complimentary breakfast. When I was researching where to book in Brookings, I was specifically looking for lodging with an elevator. I was traveling with my elderly father who cannot climb stairs, so this was of the utmost importance. I was informed at check-in that the room I had reserved was not accessible by elevator. What? Fortunately, the clerk found a different room for us, BUT it was almost $100 more than my original reservation so that was very disappointing. Just be sure if anyone in your party has mobility issues that you make sure the room you are booking has elevator access.
