Napili Sunset Beach Front Resort

Location is the strength of the property as it is literally overlooking the beach - within 30 feet.

AC is limited to the bedroom but there are ceiling fans in both the bedroom and living room and one can open the windows (with screens) to allow for a breeze.

Absolutely beautiful spot !

The only complaint wound be the pull out sofa was uncomfortable.

Here is a clear, strong English version of your review: --- My experience at this hotel was absolutely terrible. When I arrived, there was extremely loud construction noise. Right across from my door—literally directly in front of it—workers were cutting, drilling, and hammering. It was unbearable. After a difficult 5.5-hour flight, which was also delayed, I was completely exhausted and just wanted to rest. But it was impossible to sleep. I went out and politely asked if they could move the work elsewhere. Surely, they could drill and hammer in another area. Instead, they pointed at a sign saying they were allowed to carry out construction work. I then called the front desk and explained that I was not staying there for free—I paid $5,300 to stay at this hotel and expected a quiet environment. If they are unable to accommodate guests properly due to renovations, they should stop accepting bookings. They are creating unacceptable living conditions. No one listened. Instead, I was rudely told that I could leave the hotel if I wanted—but they would not refund my money. Naturally, I was very upset, and they ended up calling the police. When the police arrived, they sided with the hotel, saying the hotel has the right to conduct renovations. But again—if such major construction is taking place, they should not be hosting guests. People come to hotels to rest, especially after long and exhausting travel, not to listen to constant drilling and hammering. This situation went on for a long time. In the end, I did not stay even two hours. Thankfully, they eventually refunded my money. The attitude of the staff was horrible. I travel frequently, and I have never experienced such treatment in my life. It felt as if I had arrived for free and was bothering them by being there—as if I was living in their kitchen uninvited. As for the rooms: when I booked on Booking, they appeared spacious and beautiful.

Here is the English version for that section: --- What I didn’t like was the attitude of the staff. The main manager spoke to me very poorly. It felt as if they were treating me like a criminal, as if I had stolen something from them. They were trying to force me out of the hotel and even called the police. In reality, it seemed they simply did not want to refund my money. They called the police in an attempt to intimidate me and have me removed. Thankfully, I was not arrested, and I was able to insist on getting my money back. The staff was extremely rude. Overall, a terrible hotel experience. ---

The location is excellent, right on Napili Bay.

The unit and facilities are showing wear and tear.

This is our fifth time staying at Napili Sunset. We won’t stay anywhere else in Maui. We love the relaxed, “homey” vibe, easy access to restaurants, shops, hiking, the beach.

Concerned that ocean erosion will damage the property. Please reinforce the shoreline.

Perfect location

Direkte Strandlage. Kleines Paradies!

Location, location, location

great sunset view and beach right out the door

Cleanliness, location and well stocked with everything you’d need.

The screen did not seal all the way and saw some geckos coming in and out of windows and under door. A bit dated and surprised to see carpet there.

Ocean front perfect. Updated shower facilities. Kitchen well equipped for cooking.

Wish had beach boards. Water turned off for 7- 8 hours. They could have warned us to prepare.

View of the beach.

Pas de toilette hors de la chambre donc une fois le check out fait, vous n’aurez que la mer à disposition.

It was close to some of the best beaches in Maui like Kapalua Bay Beach. The beach it is on Napili i is nice also but not as nice at Kapalua. It was however not right on the beach for our second stay. We stayed twice. The non oceanfront. you had to walk across small street. They have two buildings. If you book ocean front then that is very nice with great sunset views. However, to get to the beach from even ocean front you have to walk down stairs. Which it does not look like on website. So something for people with some mobility issues to consider.

That the beach access required going down step off the cliff setting

The hotel is ideally located with immediate access to the beach. Staff was friendly and the studio was clean and the kitchen fully equipped.

Staff gentilissimo, posizione ottima, disposizione e arredo alloggio

Aria condizionata non efficiente e rumorosa

I liked the staff. I liked that it was clean and was a condo. We stayed two times. The best is the rooms ocean front with lounge chairs and nice view. You still have to go down long ramp to beach as it’s on a small cliff. The second time we stayed in cheaper room by pool. Studio. The room was fine for two people. It is across the side street to get to the beach ramp. You’d need your own beach chairs if you wanted to sit on the beach. The view is just the pool but nothing else. But the location of the hotel is great to go to a better beach anyway. We never did sit on the property beach . We drove 5-10 minutes to a fabulous beach called Kapalua Bay Beach. That was the best beach we saw in all of Maui and Big Island! So no need to pay high price for beach front unless you can afford. But Yes it was nice though to sit there and see morning and sunset. But if you choose to stay in lesser expensive rooms you can spend days at this great beach or drive to other beaches to try out.

Rooms are very dated, although clean.

It’s a wonderful location and so many amenities nearby.

The pillows in the bedroom were terrible. No support at all and no options. It would be amazing if there were a couple of beach chairs and an umbrella.

Everything was good. It just in front of the sea. Big, bright, clean apartment with a very good equipped kitchen.

Private owned and rented through company. Nice pool. Right beside a coffee and sandwich place. A little farther from other food locations we went to. Fairly long drive to Road to Hanna and airport. Beach right across the street with snorkeling and turtles and not as rocky as other islands. Easy to get supplies from front desk. Full kitchen. Small a/c unit- a little louder when running but cooled it down for us. Nice shower. Parking is a little limited.

Nice on beach location. Smaller resort with friendly staff. Kitchenettes well appointed and shared grill worked well. Excellent snorkeling directly off resort.

Perfect location. Actually on the water. Wonderful restaurants near by. Very quite.

I loved all of it.

What’s not to like?! The property is beautiful! We will definitely be back!

The beach front views, comfortable apartment, and friendly and helpful staff, from the front desk to the cleaners, were super nice and helpful.

It's a matter of taste but the old-school furniture, which grow on us eventually :). we stayed in 2 other properties during our 2 weeks vacation in Maui, and we wish we stayed here the others days too.

Amazing location right on the beach and walkable to some restaurants/coffee.

AC Unit took a while to cool the room when we got there but overall a clean, nice room.

Beautiful oceanfront and very easy access to the beach

Really love this location. I definitely recommend. Plenty of space for activities in the room. Only problem I had was the air conditioning which was a basic window mounted unit. It got pretty hot in the day time. Night was fine. The one thing I really loved was how close to the beach it is. Less then a 5 minute walk and plenty of places to clean off. Staff was super friendly and informative on nearby locations. 10/10 would recommend again and again.

Comfortable condo with an amazing view! Beautiful landscaping, very peaceful, and the lounge chairs on the grassy area are clutch--the tide gets very high at that beach so having the grass so close to the ocean was awesome! Super close to walk to the Sea House restaurant and Honokeana Cove for some snorkeling with the turtles! Love love love!

Beautiful, clean, spacious, and quiet. Nice views of the ocean and safe.

Location was excellent

Extremely clean, quiet and well maintained property. Would stay again.

Beautiful location, Peaceful with a wonderful view of the bay!

Location was great. The view was awesome. Everyone we encountered in the office was friendly. The room was very clean.

I can't think of anything.

Amazing location

Clean and close to home.

If I'm only staying one night bc I live on maui check in should not b 4 pm then you check out at 11 am. Dose not feel right should have more time. Just my opinion.

The location and cleanliness although it had tiny ants on counter surfaces.

Needs central A/C and fumigation for tiny ants.

Ongoing renovation, terible noise coming from contractors working on the units (hammering, concrete cutting, heavy grinding). Recommended not to rent the units until renovations will be completed.

The unit we were in was well designed for comfort and privacy and was also very well equipped with kitchen utensils. There were plenty of outlets and light sources. We loved sitting on the balcony over looking the beach.

Location of beautiful beach

I’ve never been happier with a stay.

this is a nice property. very clean and the staff is very accommodating for early check in. the beach is literally walking distance. just keep in mind the airport is an hour away. I enjoyed my stay as a solo traveler. i felt safe

A well maintained and clean property in which everything was working. The parking area is close to the rooms. It is a small property on the beach with a beautiful view of the ocean and Molokai. Nicely maintained landscaping. Friendly and helpful staff. In the off season, it was quiet and peaceful. It is located in a northern area of Maui away from the larger hotels and the crowds. A bit of a drive to reach other parts of Maui, but that was not too troublesome.

Nice staff great location.

No frills but that’s what we wanted!

Good location close to beach . Good parking and large bedroom.

The suites were dated with the old folding bed to wall cupboard fixed leaving large gap between bed and wall with no headboard. Dated room and position off the beach front did not offer great value for money . Car is essential and important to book the restaurants in advance as they book up quickly.

Clean, easy parking, easy check in and out. Spacious , full kitchen fully loaded, full fridge,

A great location and beautiful beach location. Easy access to everything. Grounds well maintained.

Great view from lanai.

Location is great on a sandy bay with sunset views. This small friendly property with an old school vibe. The dated furnishings are comfortable and in excellent shape and give the room a vintage style. The only real negative was the TV. The Spectrum cable was hard to navigate with no ability to stream Netflix or any of my streaming apps. Rooms are immaculate and our unit had a full kitchen well equipped for cooking. The Oceanside rooms all have a lanai and direct access to the beach views great cross-ventilation meant no need for AC. We moved to a poolside unit our last night and found it less comfortable than the Oceanside unit. Poor air flow and no privacy. Staff were terrific.

See above

Location, pool, beach, room, nearby coffee shop

nothing

Great place to be, even though our room didn’t have an ocean view. But we had a great time and had everything we needed.

The location is amazing. Kitchen was well stocked. Everything was clean

The location is superb - directly next to Napili Beach - with excellent sunset views. The units in the 2 beachfront buildings all face the beach. There is a 3rd building which is behind the 2 beachfront buildings. There is a grass lawn in front of the buildings with lawn chairs where one can enjoy the ocean view with the option to walk a few steps to the beach. Napili Beach is a sheltered cove and good for swimming and snorkeling. Kitchen is equipped with all basics for cooking. Although the rooms are not luxurious, they are reasonably comfortable and have adequate closet space. Parking is free.

The pool is a bit small but this is less important since Napili Beach is right next to resort. A/C is only in the bedroom but this would only be a problem during the warmest weather. There are ceiling fans which help cool the living room.

I loved the beachfront location. It was a fantastic sunset. We saw a rainbow in the morning. Great snorkeling location. The staff were terrific, too.

Not all of the rooms were beachfront. Ours was, and it had a fantastic view. Some rooms have garden or pool views. I wouldn’t choose those locations.

Beautiful area.

I would visit again if I go to Maui, but it's expensive. There is not enough parking space.

The staff were amazing, so helpful and professionally friendly. Really liked the beach front and the full kitchen. The bed was comfortable, yet the pillows need to be better!

There was nothing we didn’t like:)

Location, room, kitchen Supplies, new from balcony

Bed, to small not that comfortable

The beach is terrific. The room was excellent. Location is excellent, as is the public transportation, such that a rental car is not really required.

All good. Restaurants were quite busy and required a reservation in general, so had to plan ahead - but not really an issue.

This is an older but very CHARMING hotel. We booked a last minute room for a one night stay and we were very pleased. We would definitely stay here again. Very comfortable, quiet, clean, convenient.

Nice place and beaches

Wonderful beach property

Great spot! Really awesome property with all the amenities.

The price was decent though Maui is super expensive. The staff were very accommodating. I would have preferred an ocean view but glad to have a lower cost option. The coffee shop next door Ocean Vibes is terrific.

Wish the beach chairs on the grassy lawn were more comfortable. I was glad to have the lower cost option and still be able to sit on the grassy lawn and have an ocean view. The parking was hard mostly bc the car we rented turned out to be super big.

It was our first time in the island. I had big expectations that we'd get the room with the beach front view. It was to the point I had changed my original top floor booking to the 1st floor because the booking site stated that 1st floor gets the connecting beach front, so I changed it. I wanted to highlight the hotel that I had brought my video cam to showcase room to beach front. I had also asked if it was possible to switch but the only availability were a 2 night stay. Made me think that it doesn't matter if the customer stayed longer, if you get the back end, you stay at the back end, and someone else who paid for less nights can have a better view than you.

Location on the beach. Sea views. Helpful staff. Snorkeling bay. Well equipped apartment.

Nothing to note.

Everything

Nothing

Great location for being beachy and to have a swim. Pleasant ocean waves to sleep by.

Amazing place. Great information and communication from extremely friendly and courteous staff. Especially for after hours check in. Good view, nice pool. Great room. Excellent quality 👌. Thanks for letting me find it!

I loved this little studio. The porch even had a small ocean view. The staff was excellent. Very clean. Easy beach access and parking

Amazing location. Easy beach access. Close to great snorkeling family friendly area. Had all amenities needed.

The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and spacious, included a kitchenette

The bed was a Murphy bed, the carpet was pretty stained

Good location and access to the beach. Condo had a great kitchen and bathroom facilities. Property had good shared laundry facilities.

Condo needs to be updated. Bed needs to be replaced. Yard work early in the morning and the strong smell of dryer sheets from the laundry vent meant we didn’t use our lanai as much as we’d hoped.

Easy access to beach & pool, good parking facilities, apartment very well equipped, chilled water & ice available, free coffee, tea, & other necessities, helpful friendly staff, nicely maintained gardens, vey clean everywhere!

Noisy apartment behind us - not part of our complex

Room was clean and comfortable. Very close to a good swimming beach. A couple of things not working in the kitchen were fixed promptly.

Kitchen could have used a few spices (did have salt and pepper, but that was all) and a cutting board.
