水戸のホテルサン、泊まれませんでした… 入り口が閉まってて、電話も通じませんでした。 他のホテルに行きましたが，これで料金取るなんて、納得いきません！

Lovely staff. Nice room. Use of hotel bikes of benefit.

The hotel was great, but we needed to use bikes for accessing markets / more restaurants.

Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig und alles gepflegt. Jeden Tag Wäschewechsel, was eigentlich nicht notwendig war.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 3.Stock, leider ohne Fahrstuhl, nichts für fusskranke und mit schweren Taschen.

I had booked a room facing the mountain which was huge, well-equipped with almost no nois from the highway. For me the location was perfect, close to the lift to Phra Nakhon Khiri, close to a minibus station and to some nice eating places, however some would probably prefer a more central place.

Spacious and airy at the reception and dining area. Tasty breakfast, good coffee

No lift. We had to drag our bags up the 2nd floor and we are seniors. No fresh milk or evaporated milk to accompany coffee. Reception needs to be more organised - they couldn't find my 2nd room booking upon checking in.

Confort. Eau disponible et rafraîchissante. Chambres faites tous les jours. Vélo à disposition gratuitement !

J'ai réservé pour 6 personnes et je n'ai obtenu que deux lits doubles où nous avons dû dormir à 3. Prenez garde aux techniques assez frauduleuses des réservations par booking qui ne sont pas réglos..

Hôtel sympathique ! L'emplacement, pratique, pour une étape et à 100 mètres du funiculaire menant au Phra Nakhon Khiri.

Nous comprenons et encourageons les établissements hôteliers à bien gérer leur budget et à éviter le gaspillage, cependant, nous avons la désagréable impression que TOUT est calculé au bath près ; l'éclairage insuffisant, l'eau tiède, le petit-déjeuner, ce qui fait un rapport qualité / prix faible. Pas de prise électrique en tête de lit, douche fixe d'un autre temps, pas de beurre avec la confiture, pas de jus de fruits. Dommage ! Nous reviendrons quand-même en fin d'année et espérons quelques améliorations.

No hot water. Zero. Showering was uncomfortable. Wifi was very unreliable - maybe because I stayed at the room at the end of the passage

Hotel is older with some wear and tear, but it is kept quite clean and staff are friendly and accommodating. Not sure how it compares to other places in town, would possibly stay again. Location is convenient, a restaurant with decent options is located next door.

The only "western" thing available was eggs and toast - which was fine. The congee and the noodles and rice available were all too cold for our taste. We chose the Sun Hotel as it was just across the road from the Palace which is the central area for the annual festival. There were lots of tuk tuks to take us to the festival stalls in the other side of the hill. There was a nice little bar in the shops across the street with live music and karaoke if that’s your thing 🙂 We watched the 9pm fireworks from the balcony of one of our rooms.

None of our TV's worked - not a big deal but you would think that would be an easy thing for the hotel to get right. Difficult to mix the water for a shower - mine went boiling hot then freezing cold if you just added a little cold water, got some exercise jumping about 😂 One of our group had no hot water at all.

You get what you pay for. The rooms are basic but clean. Ideally situated for the cable car and park. There is no elevator, so if you struggle with stairs request a lower floor.

Very nice place if your priority is birdwatching, they have free bicycle, nice staffs trying to help you, limited english, but we enjoy a lot.

The maid can be rude. She sprayed copious amounts of disinfectant spray in my room, but not other rooms. It made me feel discrimination and seemed to imply that foreign people stink. I was having plumbing trouble at home so I rented a room for a week so I would have a place to shower. So it's not like I had stinky dirty clothes or durian in the room. I would come in the morning and shower then leave again. That particular day I had additional appointment so I returned to the room to take an extra shower. The room was so full of disinfectant spray that a window had to be opened. I had only been gone 3 hours. That was incredibly rude, childish, and very racist.

Great value for money if you are not looking for anything fancy. It's simple but very clean and has everything so close nearby. The town centre is about 20 mins walk but we really enjoyed the town! The funicular to the old city is right across the road, as well as some of its stunning temples one minute walk from the hotel.

WiFi didn't function well.

A consistent delight over the decades - antique yet incredibly durable and well loved - not everything shiny is modern gold.

The room was large and the view towards the hill is beautiful. The location is nice and it is easy to get from Sun Hotel to the different places to visit. It is the third time I have been there. Be careful, you have to book a room that overlooks the hill. Those facing the back are close to a noisy highway.

There was no tea in breakfast, no yoghurt or fruit juice.

Excellent location for exploring the Petchaburi area for birding. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds.

Somewhat pricey for amenities.

The location is excellent for visiting the town and its surroundings. The hotel is pleasent and clean, very well aired too. The room I got was very large, the bathroom was big enough, both were clean and there was warm water at any time. The staff went the extra mile to help me organize several local visits and also my trip to Huan Hin. There is a convenient restaurant next door.

The room is quite dark, painted in somber, depressing colors. There is little electrical light in the room, even less in the bathroom. Breakfast has many choices, but none for vegetarians - I guess for vegans it will be even harder to get some consistent breakfast.

It was ok, a bit noisy because of the motorway just behind, it's a bit far from the railway station and the center but near the cablecar and anyway there is not really an other hotel better located. Breakfast is basic and charcuterie is really bad so better choose omelette than bacon, sausage.

Chambre spacieuse et propre. Un seul espace commun pour toute la famille. Chambre initialement prévue pour 3. Possibilité d'ajout d'un lit d'appoint pour 200 bahts/nuit L'hôtel est bien situé, à deux pas du funiculaire pour la visite du parc historique de Phra Nakhon Khiri. Petit restaurant tout proche, où l'on a très bien mangé pour pas cher du tout. Proche également, moins de 1 minutes à pied, de la station de bus (minivan). Pas d'isolation phonique, on entend tout ce qui se passe à l'extérieur, nous avons cependant très bien dormi, la circulation s'estompant le soir.

I stayed here for two nights to visit the historical sites in Petchaburi. I enjoyed the visit because the palace on the hill is lively and worth seeing. The hotel is just adequate but I couldn’t find better. I don’t regret the stay but no need to come again. They were unable to arrange a tour of the Kaeng Krachan National park for me so I’ll save that for another visit and probably do it from Hua Hin. Calls itself a boutique hotel but must be because of this light 😂. Breakfast was adequate. Rooms clean. Shower water rather hot and couldn’t adjust it. Perfect location for the cable car to the palace which I could see from my balcony.

we stay here everytime we drive to Bangkok, hadnt done so for a while so was a bit disappointed with our last stay. The hotel now caters for busses and the service has dropped, breakfast used to be pretty good but now they are very bad, couldnt even eat it. Seems money has become more important so they are bulking out crap food for the chinese tourists, last time we will stay there
