Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Big Rapids, MI

For the price we are paying- I would have thought the room would have been better. When we first walked in- the room had a strong musty smell. The shower curtain looked clean but had a very strong moldy smell. There was hair and dirt on the floor and on one of the beds. There was also hair in the sink and on a wash cloth. There was food or something on the wall in a few spots. The window had mold around it. And it wasn't just a little bit. It was extremely noticeable. The kleenex box only had 1 tissue in it and there wasn't another box. The toilet paper roll had very little toilet paper on it. There was thick dust around the TV and the lamp shades. We were located on the 2nd floor and the ice machine was not working. So i had to go to the first floor to get it. When i took my service dog out side so he could go to the bathroom- the dog station was out of bags. The are was filthy and littered with garbage.

Very clean excellent staff. Reasonably proces .large spacious room. My dogs loved it too

The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure I'm happy with my room and my stay!

I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Big Rapids. Friendly staff, clean rooms, convenient location, and overall quality experience.

Staff was friendly. Place was clean and convenient. Breakfast was good.

Everything was great.

Great breakfast and location is about 25 miles from grand sons . I drive 155 miles once a month to visit them and it works out Thanks

Made reservations a week in advance and asked for 3rd floor , was told everything was ok ,, When arrived was told only had second floor available ,, I like top floor because wife is light sleeper and we always have people arriving and walking above us after midnight . Not serious but please tell me when I make a reservation

Nice breakfast.

Barking dog across the hall.

Location is fantastic. Near restaurants and shopping.

The tvs are too small and old. Not even smart tvs.

Hot foods were barely warm. Poor selection of breads to toast and bagels were stale.

Beds are much too high for safety or ease of climbing in.

Comfortable, clean, quiet, and directly off the freeway. Lots of food choices nearby and provided breakfast was good. Friendly staff. Good WIFI.

All good

It was great as well as the pool and location is peaceful

The hot tub was removed unfortunately

Staff was friendly. Bed was comfortable.

Very loud and noisey. I was up most of the night from people running down the halls and yelling right in front of my door. Early in the morning it sounded like kids launching furniture into the hallway. Just a bunch of loud bangs. The shower had hair in it and made a squealing sound and the fan/air/heat made an awful sound as well.

Continental breakfast needs to be better. Need more breakfast items. Everything was empty and not a good selection. We had to leave to get breakfast elsewhere.

Very convenient location. Friendly breakfast staff.

Comfortable, clean, good breakfast, very helpful & friendly staff. Kristian at the front desk was the best!

Great location!

My key card had to be reloaded each day.

Very clean. We loved the suite room. Room enough to play games without having to sit on the beds

No hand soap in the bathroom. We had to get body wash from the shower to wash our hands.

Breakfast Customer service

The room was extremely hot...hard to sleep.

Staff very friendly, convenient

Desperately needs new carpet

Staff was great , good breakfast

This hotel was perfect except for the lack of seating in the breakfast bar. It was half the size it should be for the amount of rooms. Everything else was excellent.

Please for dog to use bathroom

The side door not working with key

Staff was friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. There were some wear issues: hand rests on red chair were worn and dirty; bed was squeaky; shower faucet was stained.

Comfort and breakfast and employees

We really enjoyed the room set up. It was very comfortable. Staff was great!! Breakfast was good and free cookies was a benefit.

Manager at the front desk was very friendly. The room was spacious. And the breakfast in the morning had a decent selection.

Clean room - why do they serve the same breakfast every day?

The room is clean with a good bathroom. Bed and pillows are also very good. Amenities in the bathroom were nice A lot of silence around the room so perfect for sleeping. “The breakfast had a wonderfully delicious selection. The beds were warm and comfy. Enjoyed the hotel's proximity to the shopping and restaurants.” Free parking, enjoy the pool; and the staff were very nice. I will be back next year.

We were greeted by a friendly staff member after ringing the bell. The room was clean but only 67 degrees. The deadbolt was hard to engage and the shower head was loose and sprayed all over. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was adequate but only one waffle maker that everyone wanted to use.

Staff is friendly & competent. Very quiet except for the ice machine across from our room. Breakfast could have been a little better - hot meat option or better bakery. Too cold in the breakfast room. Beds were too hard for my liking, but that is a personal preference.

Good location. Clean. Friendly staff. Good communication.

Receptions are nice, location is good, and Lobby feels clean.

Room feels outdated and we kept having issue with the key cards

The afternoon desk lady is wonderful!!! Same breakfast daily sadly, not much change up- sausage, eggs and potatoes ..

Very Good breakfast

Very good job by all

This hotel is awesome! The staff, the cleanliness, the room was fabuloous, good breakfast. We loved our 3 night stay!

Good

Only 1 suggestion, I'd put hand soap next to sink to wash your hands. There was a dispenser for lotion but no hand wash. Other than that, I loved the stay and will definitely return.

Great location near Ferris State. Beds were very comfortable. No carpet in the room is great and the room was clean except for the fabric chair in the corner with stains on it. Shower was nice and large counter in bathroom was very helpful. Check out at noon is nice!

The entrance to the hotel has very stained carpet going up the stairs and worn out rugs. The lady who initially greeted us was not the most professional or helpful. If you can get past this part the stay was nice.

The staff was AMAZING!

The queen size beds are not true to size. They are smaller than a true queen.

The staff was so nice and very accommodating

Clean, quiet

Very clean, quiet, and friendly staff.

we liked the dog friendly attitude. Dixie enjoyed her welcome treat. She settled right down after a 4 hour ride.

This hotel is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the morning breakfast. We have stayed multiple times and would stay again. We like the updated outside porch area, it is nicely decorated with flowers and very cute.

Stayed 2 nights, staff friendly and helpful, bed comfortable, room clean, close to highway, gas station, Meijer, and Walmart

the nicest Country Inn I've ever stayed in. staff was incredible! a BIG shout out to Tina the front desk manager. BEST ever. Takes real pride in her job. should be the GM

They bumped us to hotel next door. Hilton. We did not get to stay where we booked.

The tv is always a pain to figure out. And the next morning did not work at all said it had no signal

Always clean and comfortable beds.

The outside looks nice. The inside was stuffy, and looked a bit dated. Elevator needs maintenance. Just a mediocre stay

Our stay at this property was great overall. Having a laundry was a feature we used. The hot breakfast was also nicely done. Would recommend this property.

Staff was wonderful and the stay was great

Room was nice ,but it was very cold in the room. Tried to turn up the temperature, but it went back to what it was set at (68)

I was not happy with my stay at all. I had a 1 bedroom suite and the neither of the tv’s worked. I had kids with me. The next morning staff was very unhelpful. Room slept 4 not enough towels for 4 people. I asked for extra towels brought all the towels down to get one hand rag and one drying towel and the front desk clerk brought me bag a one hand towel and said thats all she had. Did not try to find house keeping. I had to go search for a cart to get my own towels. Flies in my room not the cleanest just overall horrible stay i will be contacting corporate because front desk was no help in accommodating anything for the horrible stay i experienced. Wont be staying there again to move my kid into college i know that for sure.

We have stayed at this location twice now and both times the staff was very curious. The pool was a bit underwhelming but it was enough to let the kids play for a bit.

We were going on a mini getaway with our dog for the first time and we had to find somewhere that accepted them and that was one of the few places that did in the area. The front staff that was working the night shift check in came up and loved on our dog and it was cute and appreciated. There is no freezer in the room which was annoying as we had things we had to keep frozen and couldn’t. The morning shift check out front desk was kind of off putting and had in headphones. The breakfast was okay and I would definitely stay here again!

Easy access, friendly staff.

Gets the job done.

The front porch sitting area is fantastic, comfortable and clean.

I was a little upset that the wifi wasn't working. The room above us kept jumping around all night to the point it shook our bed and woke us up. When I asked for someone to call and ask them to relax (mind you it was past 12) nothing changed. Breakfast was good for the most part. I was upset there was a late check out fee, for only 1 hour longer, a bit much. Unfortunatley I don't think we will be staying at this location our next trip.

I am not sure if it’s the hotel itself or just happened to have 2 guests staying in the room above us and whenever they walked we heard them 😣 it was very frustrating trying to sleep (with a sound machine on) and you hear stomping above you at 1:30am-11am. Barely got any sleep. Front desk was nice above it even though we complained twice but they really couldn’t do anything for us because rooms were filled and they wouldn’t move us. Not very Comfortable

The staff was very nice and efficient. We had to wait for our room since we were early and they offered us coffee/tea and cookies and a comfortable sofa while we waited. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was decent and checkout was easy. They were completely full of guests yet it was quiet in our room. The air conditioner in the room was not as cool as we like for sleeping but maybe we didn't know how to adjust it properly. All over a good experience and we would stay there again.

The food options at breakfast were good. The room was comfortable. This is a property I have stayed at before. The staff were nice. The carpeting and upholstery is ready for deep cleaning. I hope that can be accomplished. This is a good location with dining options nearby. Efforts have been made to make the exterior inviting. Slept fine.

Clean . Friendly staff. Great breakfast area and typical food . Close to stores and restaurant. Comfortable and free cookies in the counter area .

The stay was totally fine until I checked out. I had asked for a late check out which was great but the lovely front desk clerk offered if I would like to stay longer for $25 until 4 pm which worked for me as I had a late flight out of Grand Rapids. When I checked out at 3 pm instead of 4 pm I was told I would have a full night charge instead of the $25 that was offered, I did not ask for it. After arguing with the front desk manager for 15 min or so they did finally give me the original price. Just left a sour taste in my mouth as this was offered to me, Ivdid not ask to check out at 4 pm.

The property was really nice and kept clean. A very cozy place to be at. Good walking distance from a few stores that really was nice.

Breakfast was a little underwhelming

Comfy bed. Average breakfast.

The location was perfect. Some of us traveled from the south, others from the north. This hotel was central to all of us.

Very nice room and towels, bedding.

Could use more cable tv channels.

Our hotel room & bathroom were nice and clean. The pool was nice. Breakfast was good!

Our family stayed recently after a trip to Michigan Adventures and had a very nice time. We always love the atmosphere of the Country Inn and Suites. The room was clean, the pool was enjoyable, and the breakfast was very good. We did miss having a hot tub, but it was still a very nice stay.

Great hotel! Breakfast was limited.

Always Great service. clean rooms
