Hotel Cetus

Hotel Cetus is very private, away from the crowds of amalfi, which was a wonderful break. The place felt quiet and relaxing, with a very friendly staff.

It was a bit difficult to get to. We took public transportation and the bus was a bit chaotic.

The hotel is phenomenal and the room was amazingly comfortable with an amazing view of the water. There is are plenty of places on site for snacks and meals and the food was amazing across the board and the staff too. The hotel has its own beach with a staffed beach club which really was a highlight of our trip.

Getting to Cetara could be complicated since the hotel is not located right in town. They offer a morning and evening shuttle which needs to be reserved and that was helpful. Although if you got dinner in town you would need to find your own way back. It’s only like a 5 minute drive to the Cetara marina or a 10 minute walk along a very narrow road with no sidewalk and often a lot of traffic during the day.

Struttura in posizione panoramica bellissima, con spiaggia privata anche se la posizione causava nel primo pomeriggio scomparsa precoce del sole intorno alle 16:30 già in ombra. Staff davvero gentile ed attento alle esigenze del cliente.

Per un hotel che accetta e si pagare il soggiorno per gli animali domestici, dovrebbe prevedere un piccolo spazio esterno a loro riservato non potendo rischiare la vita per passeggiare lungo la strada e prevedere almeno un cestino dove poter riporre le eiezioni, raccolte, del proprio animale.

Accoglienza e supporto in ogni necessità, location incantevole.

Unico suggerimento, nella nostra stanza nel bagno sarebbero utili dei ripiani d'appoggio e una luce da specchio poi potente.

The beach club is absolutely divine as are the staff down there. If we were rating them alone this would be a 10/10 review. The staff in the mini spa/gym were also great.

The food was very expensive but not very good. The staff elsewhere in the hotel were unhelpful and borderline rude. It very much felt like they didn't want us there. Very unwilling to help or offer much support for requests. The room was great but warm, even with AC on blast.

Beautiful hotel on the Amalfi coast, just 300 meters from Cetara, from where you can get to any place on the Amalfi coast by boat. The hotel is nice, clean, with its own beach and great breakfast. I recommend the hotel for its position and the satisfaction we received here. Many thanks to the entire staff.

One whole day with no electricity! No wifi, no ligght, no elevators, it was pretty fangerous to move around in the dark hallways. We’ve got no apology or a price reduction offer! Breakfast - which when I booked I was told I paid for but the hotel claimed otherwise & charged me again!

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The room was spacious, very comfortable, and had one of the most incredible views I've ever had from a hotel. The hotel itself is beautifully built into the cliff, with the original rock incorporated into the architecture, making the common areas and corridors really unique. The walkway to the private beach is stunning, and the beach itself is amazing. Breakfast was excellent, with great quality food served on a terrace overlooking the sea. The staff were outstanding, always friendly, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. Our room didn't have a kettle or coffee machine when we arrived, but they brought both immediately after we asked. Having on site parking is also a huge bonus on the Amalfi Coast.

Only a few minor details. A safe in the room would have been useful, and the bathroom was a little small and could benefit from a few extra hooks for towels. The gym doesn't open until 8:30, which is quite late if you like to work out before breakfast. The private beach is in the shade from around 4 pm onward, although it's wonderful before then. You'll also want a car to get around, though it's possible to walk to nearby Cetara to catch ferries along the coast.

В кінці травня пляж не був підготовлений для відвідувачів. Нам самим довелось шукати шезлоги, їх збирати та встановлювати. Парасольки відсутні.

Der Private Strand, der mit dem Lift erreichbar ist. Das Personal an der Rezeption und im Frühstückssaal war sehr freundlich Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und der Blick aufs Meer traumhaft!

Das Preisverhältnis für alles weitere. Die Getränke an der Bar waren voll mit Eiswürfel, der Aperol kostet zb trotzdem 10€ Am Strand gab es ein Restaurant, dort hat der Caprese Salat 18€ gekostet (4 Scheiben Tomaten, eine Kugel Mozzarella). Generell haben wir für zwei Salate und zwei alkoholfreie Getränke 55€ bezahlt, das finde ich schon sehr teuer (siehe Foto). Wenn man am Abreisetag noch an den Strand will, muss man 45€ PRO PERSON bezahlen Das Frühstück darf für den Preis pro Nacht auch gerne noch etwas ausgeschmückt werden. Auch hier muss man ein weiches Ei etc noch nach extra bezahlen.

The views are spectacular. Boat transportation to other parts of the Amalfi Coast is very convenient. The restaurant has a very limited menu, mostly seafood. The chef accommodated and prepared pasta dishes.

Great location and the Cetus beach club was our favorite place to spend the day at the beach. The food was great there too (as were the rest of the Cetara restaurants we tried). Also, I really enjoyed my time spent at their spa with their great massage therapists!

We found a mosquito in our room almost every night. I know it is difficult to control but it would be great if there was a way to minimize mosquitoes in the building

Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel, was entlang der Felsen gebaut ist. Es gibt einen natürlichen Privatstrand mit komfortablen Liegen und einem schönen Tagesrestaurant. Die Lage ist aussergewöhnlich. Das Frühstück ist wirklich sehr, sehr gut und absolut zu empfehlen.

Wenn man ein standard Zimmer bucht, muss man schon damit rechnen, dass das Badezimmer recht beengt und auch nicht auf dem modernsten Standard ist, was bei dem Preis etwas enttäuscht.

Die Lage ist unbeschreiblich. Alle Zimmer haben einen großen Balkon und Blick aufs Meer. Tolle Küche im Restaurant und ein abwechslungsreiches Frühstück 🤩

Ganz kurze Stresssituation bei der Ankunft, weil es kaum Parkplätze gibt. Bedenken lösten sich in Luft auf, als der Herr vom Parkservice des Hotels, nach dem Ausladen der Koffer, den Wagen um parkte

The location of the hotel is amazing, it has a beautiful private beach, and the views from the balcony are extraordinary, room was very clean and the whole design of the hotel is unique, the breakfast is rich and fresh, and the staff are super polite and friendly, we are more then recommending Cetus hotel, we had a wonderful stay there, thank you very much!

Vue. Le carrelage magnifique. La restauration et le petit déjeuner formidables !!! La propreté. Le confort. La beauté de l'hôtel. L'accès à la plage. L'amabilité du personnel. Bravo ! Nous avons été enchantés !

Une 2ème porte entre la chambre et la salle de bain aurait permis de limiter les bruits venant du couloir. C'est le seul "défaut" de cet hôtel merveilleux, bien compensé par tout le reste !

This hotel is stunning! It is embedded in the side of a cliff above the sea. The room was spacious and bright, but the best part was the terrace with some cover from the sun and lots of space to take in the sun and the sea, with loungers, a table and chairs. The private beach was perfect, breakfast plentiful and fresh, the restaurant delicious, the bar convenient. The best part however was the staff! The reception staff who assist with EVERY need, the breakfast staff, the bartenders, the restaurant staff, every one of them professional and friendly and helpful with any issue or question. Perfect place.

Walking to any other location than on property is only possible by walking on the road, which is narrow with no sidewalk with lots of traffic. To mitigate this, the hotel works with a shuttle service that is professional, quick to respond and reasonable cost.

The pictures don’t even do it justice. We had a beautiful, very spacious balcony right on the sea. The views and ambience couldn’t be beat. We had room service delivered from Falalella for our anniversary and couldn’t have been happier. It sneaks up on you from the road and seems very unassuming, but it’s all luxury once you’re inside.

We never did get the phone in the room working, which made for a series of awkward trips to the restaurant for our “room service”. But the staff couldn’t have been sweeter and we still had an amazing evening. Also should note: the balconies are MOSTLY private. You are shielded from your neighbors by shrubbery, but you can still hear and see one another. Was not a major issue, even for a pair of introverts.

The rooms were beautiful, spacious, clean and all with a sea facing view. Breakfast was a highlight to begin each day of our stay, with a huge range of options and impeccable quality of produce. Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, particularly when we found ourselves with a last minute transfer request due to unexpected ferry cancellations- hugely grateful, thank you.

Pecca in tante cose essendo un 4 stelle , 40€ al giorno x la colazione con un buffet misero, in stanza non c erano pantofole monouso o almeno un bollitore, per potersi fare una tisana o una camomilla la sera

Beautiful hotel. We were a family of 4. Children 13yo and 11yo. Not a typical family hotel but the children lived the luxury! Staff could not have been more helpful. Lovely breakfast. Short walk into village of Cetara.
