Great location. Large room with plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 children plus luggage. On site parking available. Bathroom was big and equipped with shower gel etc. Shower cubical was massive!

The room had an odd, musty smell; seemed like it was the carpet. It was very noticeable, but we weren’t in the room for long so didn’t do anything about it. It was also a little noisy with road noise, but not much could be done about that.

Noisy at night, people outside our window until 3am. Kept us awake Woke up by house keeping at 8.30am as they were locating the resident of a particular car that was blocking other in.

Das Zimmer war schön ausgestattet, hatte einen kleinen historischen Kamin als Dekoration und einen schönen Ausblick. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Bett war groß und sehr bequem. Zwar war das Badezimmer eher klein, aber dafür modern. Darüber hinaus war das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für eine Nacht für die Überfahrt mit der Fähre oder dem Tunnel ist es sehr gut geeignet.

Wir haben auf der Straße geparkt auf einer engen, mit Autos überfüllten Straße. Es sind zu wenige und zu enge Parkplätze für die Unterkunft zu Verfügung. Das Frühstück findet in einem Döner Imbiss statt und war etwas lieblos zubereitet.

I booked a room that would be ideal for someone with a mobility problem and ive stayed before in another room which was ideal. The room allocated this visit wasnt ideal for me as the bathroom flooded when you showered so using the bathroom afterwards was a hazzard, Even using the broom to try clear floor it didnt help. The bathroom smelt of drains which i also reported to a member of staff when i reported the bathroom and also that the shower head needed to be looked at as it wasnt staying in its holder when you showered so you had to hold it to shower. There was a covered BBQ outside my room and because it was windy it made a noise all night and sounded like someone was trying the door. The light on the walkway was on all night and the curtains in room wasnt long enough to block out the light,

Lovely staff - very welcoming and helpful. Beautiful large room, excellent shower room and very clean. Exceeded expectations. Very well designed. Breakfast was great in the cafe next door. They’ve thought of everything, in such an historic building. Very impressed.

Parking area is a little small, yet we never had problems parking very close in local roads. Easy! There are electric vehicle chargers - again a lovely thing to have, yet not something we needed.

Outstanding value. A great room with a very modern bathroom. Very comfortable bed Perfect for a solo traveller. I have stayed in rooms that were more than double the price and this room puts them to shame. The staff are super friendly and you get a decent breakfast as well. Win win. I still struggle to believe that this was only £65 per night with a free breakfast that could easily cost £10 to £15. By the way, the shower was absolutely perfect. Nice and hot, with great water pressure and complementary shower gel and shampoo, which came in very handy because I forgot to bring my own. Unfortunately I didn't think to take photos.

The hotel was in a good location with views over the creek. The breakfast which was provided by the cafe a few doors down from the hotel was very good quality. The staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean. The town has plenty of pubs and places to eat. There are some beautiful historic buildings and the ancient church was very interesting.

The room and bed was a little small for our needs. The on suite was fine but a little tight for us.

Could have done with a stool instead of a chair, too big and awkward to walk round one side of the bed, stool would tuck underneath sideboard.

Room had a musky odour (damp) and felt a little dated and was hot but it was during a heatwave and the fan in room helped. Also, it would have been nicer to have breakfast on premises. The quality of breakfast has gone downhill as it’s been outsourced to local cafe so accommodating more than just hotel guests

Greeted with the warmest welcome, By Ben & his Lovely little assistant Receptionist such a cutie pie! Not long after we arrived shown to our lovely rooms, we grabbed a drink from the bar as we got to the garden My dad whose nearly 80 fell over! few cuts & scrapes more his ego that was damaged. Ben was on hand within seconds first aid kit at the ready, couldn't have done more to help especially as Dad didn't want a fuss, luckily i have worked for the NHS for around 30 years so was able to patch him up nicely! Ben i cant thank you enough for help and support last Friday, nothing was too much trouble for Ben he even moved my Mum & Dad to an accessible room, something ill have to remember to do when booking for parents in the future as i forget they getting old!! Thanks Again Ben Nicki, Steve Kath & Brian. xxx

Quiet room. All facilities good and comfortable. Fan provided. Really lovely B&B. Great thought and attention to all the little details that make a real difference. Lighting, power sockets, mirrors, comfort, shower power etc etc. I have never stayed before as I thought it was a pub and these are often noisy. However, it's an old pub but now only operates mainly as a B&B and for functions. The outside of the pub doesn't really reflect the excellent quality of the inside areas and rooms or the lovely outdoor area - so it gives a pleasant surprise when you walk through the door.

Not much free parking. The car park was always full. Luckily there is a car park across the road but you do have to pay for any time outside of 10pm to 7am. I don't eat breakfast so it would be good to have a rate for room only.

We stay here a lot the only thing that disappointed us in the beginning is the breakfast is not on site anymore but when we had the breakfast in the sweet little cafe next door we loved it!

Breakfast was great and cooked to order. Good quality food and accommodating chefs! Room was lovely, solid doors, clean and homely. Fan provided and tea and coffee station.

The added double glazing panes didn't lock so I couldn't block all traffic noise out at night (though it was a relatively quiet area so traffic wasn't an issue)

I didn't like being woken up at 1:25. In the morning because Michelle, who was one of the staff, being drunk and having an argument along with shouting at a couple who was also drunk right outside my window in room 7. After which I could sleep!!! Also, the breakfast needs to be looked at the only part that was cooked fresh was the egg, everything else was pre cooked an left under heat.

The Large Breakfast was a little on the small side. Glad I didn't choose the small breakfast. All though outside the hotels control the local car park is not straight forward for an overnight stay.

Comfy bed, room in good condition and the shower had excellent water pressure. Staff were fantastic and super helpful any time we had a request or a question. Also, the cooked breakfast was of a high caliber!

Room was a little bit of a squeeze and the lights in the bathroom didn’t work but these were minor issues overall and didn’t have a significant impact on our visit.

Only negative would be the small car park being used by non- tenants but this is in the process of being rectified.

Very nice hotel with bar, people where very friendly and willing to talk with you. We had a big room and a nice parkingspot next to our window where we could charge our electrical car.

The village itself is very small, but there's a big commercial center nearby.

We got shown to our room which we’ve never had before that really made us feel welcome. The room was spacious all that you required was in it, the shower was great. We also had breakfast included which was nice, which included cereals, fruit, pastries, yogurt, juices, tea and coffee and a fry up.
