Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Die Villa ist klein aber fein. Wir lieben die kleineren persönlicheren Hotels. Wir hatten ein wunderschönes Zimmer und es war sehr ruhig im Haus, obwohl wir direkt nähe Rezeption wohnten, aber mit schönen Blick in den Garten. Trotz der hohen Temperaturen war es angenehm kühl im Zimmer. Die Klima funktioniert auch bei fast 40 Grad ausreichend. Ein Kühlschrank war ebenfalls vorhanden. Das Highlight war das Frühstück morgens im Garten und da im Garten auch einige Sitzgruppen vorhanden sind, haben wir uns dort aufgehalten bis zum Nachmittag und sind dann erst los in die Stadt. Die Villa liegt sehr zentral in einem sehr ruhigen tollen Stadtteil.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026We loved our time at La Villa. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was not only delicious and fresh but also very generous. Having access to the terrace with beautiful plants and comfortable sofas felt a real privilege after a day inside the city walls.
There is little soundproofing - we were awoken by other guests coming back late and showering in the middle of the night.

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026The breakfast was good and it was located in a beautiful location in the hotel and opened out onto a garden. The room was good, very clean. A little more room would have been nice, as we had two big suitcases. Paolo, who worked at the reception, was exceptionally helpful when we needed to change our train tickets. He phoned the train company and made all the new arrangements for us (in Italian, naturally). We could never had done that.
The location was a little far out from the center of town which meant we had to do a lot of walking to get to and fro from the room to events, but it was in a beautiful location.

Le petit déjeuner est très garni et avec des produits faits maison et frais. La terrasse est fabuleuse, propice à la détente. La chambre est très confortable et agréable à vivre. Le balcon est le petit plus !

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026We recently stayed at La Villa Di STR, a small, charming Art Nouveau hotel located about a 15-minute walk from Piazza del Campo. The 20th-century building is beautiful and very atmospheric, and our room was clean, comfortable, and featured nice decor. Our only observation was that the air conditioning struggled to cool down the room properly, making it quite warm during our summer stay. The reception staff were very friendly and quickly offered us a fan, which helped, though we then had the added noise of the fan to contend with. One other note... We had to put the kettle on the floor to boil it. On the bright side, the breakfast offered a great choice, and the quality was consistently high. The indoor lounge and outdoor areas were also very welcoming and pleasant. Nice friendly staff. Overall, a lovely base for exploring Siena

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Mooi hotel in een prachtig gebouw. Alles was schoon, we kregen een gratis upgrade naar een superior kamer en het bed was heerlijk groot. Ook de airco werkte uitstekend, wat het verblijf extra comfortabel maakte. Voor de deur gemakkelijk gratis parkeren.
Jammer genoeg waren er ook wat minpunten. Het personeel groette ons bij binnenkomst en vertrek vrijwel nooit, waardoor we ons niet echt welkom voelden. Op de kamer waren slechts twee stopcontacten, wat erg weinig is. Daarnaast was de douche erg klein, waardoor comfortabel douchen eigenlijk niet mogelijk was.

Par les températures caniculaires qui régnaient à Sienne lors de mon séjour, la climatisation, bien que réglée au maximum, était un peu juste.

We had a lovely view of Siena on the walk over. The room was nicely AC’d and the breakfast was also lovely and easy. Perfect place to stay at while visiting Siena.

La dimensione del lavandino nel bagno della matrimoniale standard. La struttura ha segnalato che il bagno era piccolo, ma l' handicap non era la dimensione del bagno (piatto doccia ampio) ma il lavandino davvero piccolo.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Habitaciones amplias (estuvimos en 2), cómodas, pese a dar a la calle principal, muy tranquilas y bien aisladas, con climatización algo anticuada (salida desde debajo de ventana). Acceso fácil con ascensor (no de uso de 24h, tenía horario restringido para confort). Baño adecuado, no muy grande pero cómodo. Buena ubicación. Desayuno lo pagamos a parte pero mereció la pena: muy variado con abundante cantidad, excelente atención, café muy rico, mucha fruta y variedad de la misma, tenían bruschetas de dos tipos. Mucha zona de aparcamiento gratuita en la zona. A 10 minutos andando del centro (con desnivel). Una habitación disponía de balconcillo con vistas muy agradable.
Algo ruidoso el interior. Al no tener recepción 24h, el acceso al hotel lo hacían en condiciones dudosas e incívicas. La primera mañana nos apremiaron a salir de la habitación para hacer la limpieza.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026L'hotel si trova in una posizione molto comoda, immediatamente fuori dalle mura di Siena, con facilità di parcheggio gratuito. Il centro della città (Piazza del Campo) si può raggiungere a piedi in circa dieci minuti. La nostra finestra affacciava sul viale, ma era perfettamente insonorizzata e non abbiamo sentito rumori durante la notte. L'hotel è stato ristrutturato molto recentemente e tutto era in ordine. La pulizia è stata impeccabile. Le zone comuni (interne ed esterne) sono molto belle e ben curate. L'hotel dispone di un bar. I prodotti da bagno sono di ottima qualità. Non possiamo dire nulla sulla colazione, perché non ne abbiamo usufruito.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026La Villa ist ein kleines Boutique-Hotel in toller Lage direkt an der Fortezza Medici. Von dort ist es ein kurzer Spaziergang in die historische Altstadt. Kostenlose öffentliche Parkmöglichkeiten sind gegeben. Sehr gutes Frühstück und netter Garten.
Das Zimmer war etwas klein. Das Hotel gibt noch echte Schlüssel aus, die es nicht einfach machen, die Türen geräuschlos zu schließen. Das Hotel verfügt leider über keinen Pool.

Chambre très propre, soigné et confortable ainsi que la literie. Lieu calme et très proche du centre. Mes enfants et moi même avons passé un excellent séjour et recommandons cet endroit, cet hébergement. Le propriétaire des lieux est également très chaleureux et soucieux de ses clients. Mille mercis pour notre séjour.

Unsere Übernachtung war eine einzige Katastrophe. Ich kann das Hotel überhaupt nicht weiterempfehlen. Wir haben Nachts kaum schlafen können und empfanden unseren Aufenthalt als einzige Tortur: 1. Die Zimmer sind extrem schlecht schallisoliert. Man hört jeden Toilettengang des Nachbarn. Wenn andere Gäste ihr Zimmer verlassen oder betreten gibt es einen extremen Lärm, der einem aus dem Schlaf reisst. 2. Die Klimageräte sind unter dem Fenster direkt neben dem Bett montiert und daher extrem laut. Ein Schlafen mit eingeschaltetem Gerät ist daher nicht möglich. Auch die Kühlleistung der Klimageräte ist ein Witz. 3. In unserem Zimmer herrschten nachts Temperaturen von 28 Grad Celsius. Es war total stickig und gar nicht erholsam. 4. Das Badezimmer ist winzig und beklemmend. Das Waschbecken hat Miniaturgröße. Man stößt ständig irgendwo an und möchte nur noch raus.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and it is lovely to enjoy the garden in the evening after walking the streets all day. This is our second stay in the hotel and we would definitely stay there again. Praise indeed.
It would be great if the rooms could be equipped with a fridge, to keep some of the lovely wine cool. We were pestered by a scammer, asking us to fill in information about the payment etc and to confirm our stay details. Clearly this is NOT the fault of the hotel and Booking.com did have it reported to them. I only mention it in case someone else gets a WhatsApp message from Brazil and talks about the same hotel (but in Sri Lanka). Obviously, don't respond and report it.

Cappuccino was not up to Italian standards, but everything else was great.

Nix, alles war zur besten Zufriedenheit! Auch gab es jederzeit genügend freie gratis Parkplätze in unmittelbarer Umgebung des Hotels.
