Vainilla B&B Mexico

A very well run B and B with a very nice and kind owner. Lovely breakfast, a little pool to cool off, comfortable beds, everything worked - all good. The wi-fi was a little spotty though.

la anfitriona es encantadora

Uma boa estada. Atendimento excelente pela anfitriã. O quarto é bem grande e a cama sensacional!

Super Hotel! Very very great Host.

Vainilla is a true gem! The staff is top-notch, friendly, and treated us like family. Roberta, the owner, tracked our arrival which was greatly appreciated. Her breakfasts were incredibly delicious; each was homemade and served warm daily. Our favorite was jamaica jam and freshly-made prickly pear juice. As for the living quarters: stunning! They were huge rooms with bathrooms and plenty of closet space. Ana, the housekeeper, was wonderful and incredibly meticulous. Our room was kept spotless. Playa's beaches are a short walk away. We had no problem getting lounge chairs through an arrangement with Mamitas Beach Club, and we got to enjoy the clean sparkling pool after a long hot day. We really can't say enough about this bed and breakfast. We were sad to be unable to cancel our reservation at a separate hotel, for we would have enjoyed extending our stay here. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, if you are coming to Playa Del Carmen. Thank you, Vainilla, for an unforgettable stay!

It is a special place, small, very confortable and familiar.Roberta, the owner, is really kind. the breakfast for vegeratian people is really nice. we came back during the same tryp.

The place was very colorful inside and out. Roberta was great! She contacted me to see about my arrival plans and she made sure my husband and I had what we needed. She gave great suggestions for where to eat, what to do and she made sure we had a taxi when we needed it. She made a fabulous fresh breakfast with fresh juice, fruit, eggs, toast and danishes along with a scrumptious marmalade. I would definitely return if I'm back in the area.

This B&B is quite basic, but definitely worth considering and a good value for the price. The style and decoration of the rooms and the patio eating area are very charming, with bright colors and local art. My room was incredibly clean, in contention for the cleanest room I have ever stayed in.

Overall excellent! Great value for your money! Roberta, the hostess is extraordinary, super friendly and kind, she made us feel like at home. Her recommendations were always great. Vainilla B&B exceeded our expectations! Breakfast was excellent, home made bread and jams and fresh fruit and juices, phenomenal! We loved it and we would stay there again without a doubt! We took the two front rooms, and stayed there with 3 little kids. Bedrooms were spacious and clean, it was quiet at night, and we felt safe all the time.

This place was super cute with lots of bright furniture and art everywhere. The host Roberta being the outstanding part......so helpful with everything, including booking us Taxis and telling us about local hot spots.

My Fiancé and I loved Vainilla B&B. We recommend to everyone. Roberta is amazing and very friendly. We loved getting to know her! She really takes the time to make sure her guests are happy and comfortable. The rooms and decor are beautiful! She also recommended great attractions and restaurants!

Don’t miss this wonderful b&b. Superb hospitality, great rooms & good breakfast. Only 10min walk from the beach. Will make sure to stay here again.

We loved our stay at Vainilla Bed & Breakfast! The best part of our stay was the host, Roberta. She was very helpful and took the time to chat with us and gave us a lot of good information. The bathroom was a bit small, but the main room was very spacious. Our room had a/c, but we didn't use it...we found the fan was enough. We really enjoyed breakfast in the morning as well, especially the homemade cakes each day. It's away from the main tourist area which we liked as it felt more authentic but we could still walk there. For us, the personal touch was what made it most enjoyable.

We were extremely pleased with our stay. Roberta was an excellent hostess. She made sure we knew how to get to the property in advance and stayed up late to welcome us. She was very helpful with all questions and responsive for any issues (the shower head was a bit cracked - 5 minutes later she had fixed it :)) The breakfast which Roberta prepares is all homecooked and very enjoyable (changing everyday). The room was large with plenty of space and a good functional kitchen area. We didn't use the pool but it did look clean and the beach was about 15minutes away. Overall a very good stay and we would recommend and happily return.

we stayed for a week for our anniversary in Playa Del Carmen. It was perfect location to go to tulum, cenotes, xplor and close to the 5th ave and the beach. The host, Roberta was awesome! She is very nice and helpful, and her place was great! It was decorated so pretty and always clean. She served breakfast with fresh fruits and smoothies, homemade jam and bread, very delicious! We felt safe staying her place, feels like you are at home. We would love to go back and stay at her place again.

Great service from our host Roberta, would definitely come back.

The perfect place to stay if you are doing any activities with all inclusive

The host, Roberta, is especially good, and very helpful.

the room is comfortable, clean and cute. the breakfast is healthy and delicious. only the shower was not hot water. this was 1 bad thing but others are good

Favourite place that we stayed in Mexico, largely due to Roberta being such an excellent host. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with modern colourful decor. Delicious homemade breakfast - our favourite part was the homemade marmalade.

We loved our stay at Vainilla! You can really feel Roberta's care and professionalism - the place looks fantastic, and her explanations made us utilize our short stay to the finest. Will definitely recommend to stay here.

Nice to get away from the hustle of Playa del Carmen at this charming, peaceful B and B. Roberta, the owner, was so helpful and made us a lovely breakfast every morning with home made jams, juices and cakes.

Beautiful room, delicious healthy homemade breakfasts and a great location with a local feel. Only a ten minute walk to the beach.

this was the first time I stayed at a foreign country bed and breakfast. I was very impressed with the owners friendly hospitality and assistance for all our needs. her place is very clean and comfortable. we walked every day to 5th street ( 10 min ) and never felt insecure with the area. if you wanted to take a taxi back it was $3. my only issue is that it is not a big place that the taxi drivers know so it is a little hard to find the first time. but it is worth the search and we will defiantly stay here again the next time we are down. it is a block and a half off of 34 and 35n 3 story multi colored.

Spent 2 nights at this adorable b&b and loved it. A leisurely 15 min walk to 5th avenue and its neighbouring streets and beaches therefore giving you the access to the social life of Playa whilst also giving you some peace and quiet. Roberta, the owner is absolutely lovely and always up for a chat or some tips on the area. Overall the place has a really homey feel and makes coming home from a big day of adventure that little bit sweeter.

We had a lovely time at Roberta's house. Getting into central Playa and Mamita's beach was easy (15 minutes), and also close to the supermarket and the local restaurant (Nativo was our favourite). The house itself is very cosy and Roberta was a really welcoming and attentive host. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to have a restful break and to wander around the local area or to use it as a base to explore Yucatan.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Roberta, who runs the place, is very lovely and was happy to tell us about places we should check out, things not to bother going to and great places to eat. She gave us a map and explained the entire region to us. She sent us down to Akumal Beach to swim with the turtles and it was one of the highlights of our entire trip. She puts together a great fresh breakfast of fruit and toast for you ever day in the pretty garden courtyard she has. The only downside of the place was that it was probably a little far away from the centre of town. We didn't mind the walk the first couple of days, but when you have had a big day in the sun it can get tiresome. We were on a mega budget and were avoiding taxi's but they are everywhere and you can easily take them home for convenience instead.

I had a truly, amazing experience at vanilla bed and breakfast. Roberta is a very nice woman with many years in the hospitality business. I really loved the room, and was impressed with the service she provided. I arrived at her place at 3 am and she welcomed me with a smile and a hug, making me feel like a family member she had not seen in years. She made a light but delicious breakfast every morning with tasty home made jams, perfect to start the day with. She appropriately answered every question I had and was a great person to spark a conversation with. All her suggestions were helpful and gave me the best advice on how to get around the city. The location is ideal for the type of traveler who wants to be away from the noise, but close enough to embody Playa del Carmen like the locals do. I can go on and on about my experience with Roberta at Vanilla B&B, but that would not leave much to the imagination. I highly recommend Vanilla B&B. You will not regret it.
