My original bill for the room that was provided on line had me paying the tax twice. The staff pointed out the error which was pleasing to me.

Coffee maker was disgusting! It looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks.it had green moss in it! I couldn't get the TV to work,but that could have been me. I am not Very techie.

We were disappointed that there was no wifi and tv was not working Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Gray location in downtown Minden. Pleasant and efficient housekeeping worker and restaurant servers.

It was not as promised: not a “suite “, not a “kitchenette”, not a “sitting area”, not a “shower and bath”, no drinks or snacks. If you have nowhere to stay in Minden, and you don’t want to sleep in your car, Dominion Hotel is good for one night, but, you don’t get what you pay for.

Location in the downtown is great. Restaurant pub on main floor is really good and has a happy hour : ) Room was large with two beds and a window that opens for fresh air! Staff were helpful and friendly.

Too many stairs to get to our room. Nowhere did we see anything that there was no elevator. I have two knee replacements and it was very difficult for me to climb 18 stairs. Walked in the front door and no direction of where to sign in. Went into restaurant to ask and we signed in at the bar!! While people were sitting there drinking!!!! Very old, floors are not leveled. Would not recommend.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is clean and quaint. The room suits my young family of 4. My only small complaint was that the hot water in the shower ran out in the morning. Otherwise this spot is perfect.

The Pub was closed at 9 o clock.

The positive is the staff are friendly and it is a convenient downtown location. Rooms are quaint with spacious bathrooms and aircon. However, the rooms and bedding are outdated with a faint "stuffy" smell due to age. The entrance door had a large gap. Not very private. There is no breakfast available as the pub/restaurant below doesn't open until 11:30 a.m. (A half hour after check out) The T.V. is complicated to turn on. We couldn't get it to work despite the instructions. And there are no staff on site after 8pm to assist if you have any issues like this. The air conditioner is on the wall and preset at a temperature by the hotel. There was no converter to control the temperature and the aircon was pointed directly to my bed. I had to put on a hoodie as it was so cold on my head. If the converter for the air was in the room, I could have locked the air conditioning fan upwards so it wasn't blowing directly on me. Also overpriced for the age of the room.

Very nice staff

2nd time at this hotel. We stay here because of location to the kids camp. Also the staff are absolutely amazing 👏 we will definitely be back again. Thanks for another great visit to beautiful minden.

Way over priced. Had two rooms and not even close to being similar. Would t recommend.

Place was clean and cozy

The exterior of the building does not look like a hotel at all but we were pleasantly surprised when we checked into our room. The room was spacious, although the position of the second bed was awkward. It was clean and has everything we wanted. Because it was an old building, the room was not level as we could see the uneven gap between the bathroom door and the floor. The bathroom door could not close properly as a result. Bed was comfortable, fridge worked well. Bathroom was spacious. Keurig coffee machine. Microwave and fridge.

The service was very friendly and my questions were answered promptly and professionally. The location is awesome and the pub downstairs is great!

I wish there was a bathtub/shower instead of simply a shower. Small thing.

Price for meal was high, but what place isn't these days? Everything else was fine. Would have been even better if the restaurant was also open for breakfast (we brought our own simple food for this).

The place was clean, and the staff ( who were the inn personnel) were very nice.

Very basic, the bed was too short, no closet or hangers for clothes. The room rate higher than a Montreal business district hotel.

We left a few things in the room, and the hotel staff managed to save it for us and return it. We also liked that it is a hotel with a long history of existence, which gives this conveniently located place a patina of the past and some special aura.

Very clean. Great atmosphere

I stayed at the Dominion when my friends were celebrating their 40th Anniversary. The staff at the hotel are wonderful. They treat you like you're a guest in their home. The room that I stayed in was beautifully decorated and had a very comfy bed. Their pub serves great food and the music was good when I stayed there. A tip of my hat to Sean and Ellie the innkeepers. Don't change a thing, I'm definitely coming back!

This is a nice place to stay right in the centre of Minden. We arrived late and the pub was closed, but the instructions were clear and we found our way without any problem. Super clean and very comfy bed. No complaints whatsoever. We would stay there again.

Stopped here on a trip from Ottawa to Collingwood, with many stops in between. Check in was simple at the bar. When we got into the room it was chilly but warmed up sufficiently once we went for a walk in town. Had dinner in the restaurant downstairs which was more than sufficient. The waitress was great. Back to the room, it was large, well appointed and very clean. Thanks for a great stay.

The TV was not working. Stuck on Zoom and remote did not work. For the price we have a much nicer room during our last stay for less.

Staff were super helpful, when I called to confirm location, when I booked in at the busy bar, and when I locked myself out the following morning. Also give a good recommendation for breakfast Clean room. Second sink made it easy to fill my kettle

Hanging space for clothing taken up by fridge and microwave. No drawer space. No desk, nor table. The only place to place my gear was on the second bed. Laptop and phone connected to the wifi, but that did not extend to the Internet. Some machine was creating a loud rumbling sound, until around midnight. Best to use the front door for taking your items from the vehicle to the room.

The Dominion was the only place available last minute on a long weekend. There was a very good reason for this - it's atrocious. The rooms are tiny, the walls are paper thin (you can hear guests talk in other rooms as though they were in yours), bathroom was filthy (tub had several areas of what looked like black mold), rooms are not refreshed for multi-night stays, etc. Totally not worth the money - it should be compared to a very low grade motel. We have no issues paying $250/night, but that price point comes with certain expectations that go beyond what's delivered here. We've been home from this vacation for a week and still irritated by this part of our vacation. We were desperate due to a last minute change in plans and we paid for it. Moral of the story: Book early, but book elsewhere.

Don’t know. Restaurant was closed for Civic Holiday

Advertised 2 bottles of water to be included in the room. Nothing in the fridge. Keri’s coffee maker had no container or site level therefore water spilled out when full.

Historic property with well kept rooms above a popular local restaurant. Located right in the heart of town within easy walking distance of shops and river. Check in is at the bar, and there may not be hotel staff after hours. Very clean and well located with ample parking.

The location was good .

The internet and Wi-Fi was not working. I paid for two kitchenette rooms but I got one with a sink, microwave, small fridge and the other one no sink, but had a fridge and microwave. It was expensive.

WiFi didn't work at all. Not great to have to hotspot.

Booked two nights at the hotel, after reading reviews. But had to leave after one night the room had a bad smell that wouldn't go away with the window open all night and the ceiling fan running. Very disappointing, asked to be moved but there was no other rooms available so we left.

We had booked a 9 night stay. I don’t expect someone to check our room everyday but the housekeeper came after two nights and then not again until night 9, by then our garbage was overflowing. She did put clean sheets on the bed at that time which made no sense since we were leaving in the morning. Our room needed sweeping which I kept trying to do with paper towel. If nobody is going to check in on things that often then an extra garbage bag left and maybe a broom to sweep up the sand would have been nice. The restaurant below the rooms had excellent food and awesome staff.
