Da hat alles gepasst. Die Lage, die Ausstattung und das Personal. Besser kann es nicht sein. Gerne wären wir noch länger geblieben.

Es gibt nichts auszusetzen. In allen Teilen hervorragend.

Diese Unterkunft ist für uns persönlich das Highlight unseres Roadtrips gewesen. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Golden Lake und ist wunderschön, mit viel Liebe zum Detail, eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich freundlich und herzlich. Das Frühstück wird täglich frisch zubereitet und war absolut hervorragend! Es gibt eine kleine Hütte am See, an der man sich kostenlos Kayaks, Stand Up Paddel und Kanus ausleihen kann. Fahrräder sind auch kostenlos zum Ausleihen verfügbar. Eine Radtour um den angrenzenden River lohnt sich in jedem Fall. Danke für eine fantastische Auszeit, wir kommen wieder!

Excellent staff, beautiful room with an amazing view, and such a thoughtful room arrangement. The homemade breakfast, fresh cookies, coffee maker, and beautiful classic cups were such special touches.

The Greystone is a wonderful and charming place that exceeded all our expectations. We really enjoyed the comfortable room with the view on the lake, the garden, and breakfast. We had a great experience kayaking using the free equipment provided by the hotel. The staff is also extremely welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend staying here.

The top floor temperature was not comfortable and hot even at night time

Ein wunderbares Haus mit traumhafter Lage direkt am See. Das gesamte Haus ist sauber, gepflegt und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer war gemütlich und geräumig. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter, die den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht haben. Das Frühstück war frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Our stay at Greystone was perhaps the best part of our three week trip to Ontario. Desmond and Cindy took such great care of us and we will forever be grateful for how they went out of their way to make our trip so seamless. What they have established at Greystone is something so beautiful and we cannot wait to visit again.

Diese Unterkunft ist ein wahres Kleinod, außergewöhnlich schön und ruhig am See gelegen. Man wird herzlich empfangen und fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Frühstück ist, wie das Haus und das Ambiente, ein Traum. Man wird auch gut über Aktivitäten in der Umgebung beraten.

Es war win toller Aufenthalt! Wir haben ein Cottage direkt am See bekommen und haben es sehr genossen. Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich und man merkt, dass alles mit einer großen Liebe zum Detail gestaltet ist. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Alles. Außergewöhnlich freundliche Gastgeber und ein täglich wechselnden Frühstück, das wirklich besonders war und von einer immer gut gelaunten jungen Frau serviert wurde. Wenn man dann noch die schönen Feuerstellen am See genutzt hat und mit den (kostenfreien) Kanus über den See gepaddelt ist, hat das alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Außerdem viele gute Freizeittipps, auch außerhalb des Algonquin-Parks. Und nun, da wir unseren Handgepäckkoffer in der Unterkunft vergessen haben, alle notwendige Hilfe, um ihn wieder nach Deutschland zu bekommen. Besser geht's nicht.

This is a wonderful and unique place to stay. We travelled two weeks in East Canada and this was our favourite place by far. Don’t expect a slick modern hotel experience but enjoy instead a step back in time which is wonderful, relaxing and peaceful.

Bathroom lights were limited and windows had a section that wanted to covered by the blinds at the top.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt. Das Zimmer war in einem top Zustand und in einer wunderbaren Lage mit Seeblick. Das Frühstück war das Beste was wir in unserem Urlaub erhalten haben. Leider müssen wir abreisen und können die Gastlichkeit nicht weiter genießen.

Gyönyörű,meseszép tóparti ház. Sosem volt ennyire kedves ,szeretetteli vendéglátásban részünk. A háziakkal együtt laktunk egy hatalmas házban. Az ételek saját termesztésből származtak a ház mögötti kiskertből. Reggelink frissen készült és pazar tálalásban hozták a gyönyörűen megterített asztalhoz. mindenben segítségünkre voltak. A beautiful house which felt like a very welcoming home. The owners Mike and Cindy were delightful and together with their family and staff couldn’t do enough for us. We had a magnificent bedroom with a lake view. Plenty of towels including beach towels. Constant supply of tea and coffee with home baking. Breakfasts were delicious and also homemade. Free use of bikes and kayaks which we made good use of.

Sehr schönes Ausflugsziel direkt am See und 1 Stunde Fahrzeit vom Nationalpark entfernt. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Das Greystone hat die Anmutung eines alten Herrenhauses und ist mit antikem Inventar bis in die letzte Ecke vollgepackt, ohne angestaubt zu wirken. Wir waren von dem alten Backofen/Herd mit seiner chromglänzenden Verkleidung beeindruckt. Noch beeindruckender waren aber der freundliche Empfang und die wertschätzende Betreuung durch das gesamte Personal. Wir haben von dort den Algonquin Provincial Park besucht und vom Hotel kostenlos einen Tagespass dafür bekommen. Außerdem haben wir die Restaurantempfehlung und-reservierung in Wilno’s Tavern genutzt. Das in der riesigen offenen Küche frisch zubereitete Frühstück war unfassbar gut. Und die Lage mit der Möglichkeit, abends an einem Lagerfeuer am See zu sitzen, ist ebenfalls die Bestnote wert. Die einzelnen negativen Bewertungen der Lage („laut, direkt am Highway“) können wir nicht nachvollziehen. Der nächtliche Strassenlärm war wirklich überschaubar.

Bellissima struttura fronte lago, tenuta molto bene, con arredamento curato e ogni tipo di comfort. La camera era veramente spaziosa, con letto comodissimo e romantica vista sul lago. Wonderful house with a great view on Golden Lake. Our hosts offered us so many activities like swimming in the pool or in the lake at the beach, where you also can make campfire in the evening, take canoes, sup-boards and kayaks free to use. We also got some awesome recommendations for hiking-tours and restaurants. The breakfast, the cookies, the beaverages and the fruits were really tasty and we didn't miss anything. Thank you for the great time we had at Greystone, we felt very welcome!

Staff were wonderful, the place is so beautiful and there were a lot of free activities available like paddle boards, canoes, pool. We were greeted with a glass of wine upon arriving which was lovely to drink outside on their beautiful patio. The rooms were comfortable and homemade cookies and tea were available throughout the house. We only stayed one night but I would definitely come back

if this place had a hot tub, that would have made it even better!

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am wunderschönen Golden Lake. Es gibt einen traumhaften Gemüsegarten, sämtliche Wassersportgeräte (Kanus, SUPs, Tretboot etc.) sowie Fahrräder und Helme kostenfrei zum Ausleihen. Das Zimmer ist sehr gemütlich, sauber, mit allem ausgestattet und das Bett sehr bequem. Das Frühstück ist ein Traum! Jeden Morgen frisch zubereitet mit Zutaten aus dem Garten. Es gab frisch gebackene Muffins, Waffeln, Omelette, Kürbis, lila Kartoffeln und vieles mehr. Das Beste war die Gastfreundschaft von Cindy, Mike und ihrem Team. Sie waren so herzlich, haben Restaurant-Reservierungen für uns gemacht und uns sogar eine kleine Reisetasche für den Algonquin Nationalpark gepackt mit Mückenspray, Picknickdecke und mehr.

Einfach alles!! Die Gastgeber und ihr hervorragendes Personal haben unsere Erwartungen zu hundert Prozent erfüllt. Die Herzlichkeit, Fürsorge, Aufmerksamkeit sorgten bei uns für das Gefühl bei Freunden zu sein. Wir werden, immer wenn wir an Kanada und den Algonquin Park denken, mit den tollen Tagen im Greystone Manor verbinden. Das an Klasse nicht zu überbietende Frühstück, das wundervolle Ambiente und die Gelegenheit "Neues" zu lernen, die wundervollen Augenblicke vor dem Haus (oder vor der Feuerschale am Strand) sitzend mit dem Blick auf den Golden Lake. Es ist nicht nur die Schönheit Kanadas, es sind eben auch und insbesondere die tollen Menschen von Greystone die wir nicht vergessen. Vielen Dank dass wir euch kennenlernen durften.

Het is duidelijk dat Cindy en Mike liefde voor de zaak hebben. Uiterst gastvrij. Goede faciliteiten, fietsen en kayaks kan je gebruiken en het ontbijt was uitstekend.

We had an absolutely incredible stay! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered excellent value for money. One of the highlights was the amazing breakfast—fresh, delicious, and with a wide variety each morning. The attention to detail and the care from the staff truly set this place apart. Whether you're looking for relaxation or a great location, this is the perfect spot. I can't recommend it enough!

A fabulous guesthouse set right by the lake. Free access to SUPs, kayaks and canoes was a major plus. The breakfasts are fantastic and different each day with everything homemade and organic where possible. The hosts were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The stay included passes to Algonquin provincial park and again the recommendations for where to go were spot on.

Amazing hospitality from Cindy and Mike. The stay was fantastic because of their attention to detail and outgoing personalities. Their property was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and healthy (they grow all their fruits, veggies, herbs and even make their own maple syrup in their backyard!!). My friend and I were planning on going to Algonquin Park for a hiking adventure during our stay. Not only did Cindy and Judy give us trail recommendations, they prepared a tote bag with all the things we might need during our hike - from bug spray to band aids to bear bell to M&Ms in case we took a wrong turn, anything you needed was in the bag. They treated us like friends who were visiting from out of town! We will definitely be coming back for more adventures!

Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich und sehr abwechslungsreich. Die Atmosphäre im Haus war sehr angenehm, ruhig und entspannt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr aufmerksam und warmherzig, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Zusammengefasst: Ein perfekter Aufenthalt zum Entspannen und genießen.

Das wir nach 4 Tagen abreisen mussten.

Une expérience inoubliable. L'accueil est plus que chaleureux, et on se sent vite comme à la maison. L'emplacement est parfait si on souhaite visite et randonner dans le parc Algonquin. Les hôtes fournissent le pass du parc pour y aller en voiture. A faire : caraméliser ses chamallows sur le feux sur la plage du lac (le tout fournit par l'établissement ;-) )

La struttura è situata in una zona incantevole. Puoi girarla in bici o andare sul lago con le canoe fornite o fare una passeggiata nella foresta per godere di viste mozzafiato. Se ti vuoi spostare con la macchina, nelle vicinanze c’è il bellissimo parco naturale di Algonquin. Ma ciò che più ci è rimasto nel cuore sono i meravigliosi padroni di casa ❤️ ci hanno accolto come membri della famiglia, dandoci non solo tutto l’occorrente per le nostre escursioni, ma anche cibo delizioso e un affetto che abbiamo percepito in ogni momento del nostro soggiorno. (PS: abbiamo alloggiato nella suite, un sogno ad occhi aperti ❤️) Grazie ancora di tutto ❤️

Incredible breakfast. Beautiful views. A huge kitchen garden. Friendly and welcoming staff. Amenities beyond expectations. Excellent knowledge about the surrounding area, Algonquin Park, and the restaurants.

La gentilezza e l'accoglienza dei proprietari è stata al top! Appena arrivati si sono preoccupati se avessimo cenato e ci hanno consigliato dei posti. La colazione, preparata da loro stessi con prodotti del loro giardino/orto era buonissima e abbondante. Possibilità anche di opzioni vegane, vegetariane, gluten free. Le stanze pulitissime e molto graziose. La loro casa splendida, ti fanno sentire in famiglia. Possibilità di varie attività (bici, kayak, piscina) che per motivi di tempo noi non abbiamo potuto sfruttare. Posizione strategica tra Eganville e Algonquin Park e completamente in mezzo alla natura. Quando hanno saputo che saremmo andati all'algonquin park ci hanno preparato degli snack.

Wunderbare Lage am Golden Lake! Hausfrau Cindy sorgt für ein perfektes, gesundes und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück mit gaaaaanz viel Liebe und gibt Infos für alles rundherum! Am Abend kann man am See die vorbereiteten Feuerstellen nutzen und ein Glas Wein genießen! Auch Kanus und Fahrräder stehen zur Verfügung! Wundervoll!

Bis zum Algonquin Park sind es doch immerhin 60km! Die Lokale in der Umgebung schließen SEHR FRÜH (spätestens 19:00)
