Da Vienna Boutique Hotel

I booked a Junior Suite and paid a premium price, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. The room was located on the 3rd floor, and right from the start, the ceiling lights weren’t working. While I chose to overlook that, the real issue was the air-conditioning—it wasn’t cooling at all, even after running for over three hours. Since I checked in late at night, I didn’t bother requesting a room change, but it was definitely inconvenient. The next morning, I discovered that the fridge in the room wasn’t working either—everything I had stored inside was warm. On top of that, I went to use the fitness center only to find that all the treadmills were out of order and unusable. When I headed down to the café for breakfast around 8:30 AM, most of the food was already gone and not replenished, which was another disappointment. For a hotel that charges a premium, I expected much better. To be fair, the staff were friendly and polite, and after I reported the fridge issue, it was promptly replaced. Still, the condition of the facilities and overall experience do not justify the price I paid. Sadly, I won’t be returning. This hotel needs serious updates and maintenance before it can be considered good value.

Good breakfast, helpful staff, good location. Only lacking was the hotel itself which is a bit outdated and needs some refurbishing. Need cleaner towels and bed sheets but otherwise okay for a short stay and maybe if you just need a place to rest after your golf game.

Booked 2 rooms. rooms 624 and 626 Cons - one of the room door latch was broken when we checked in. I suspect this was either highlighted or not by the previous guests or even housekeeping when they made up the room. No safety. - on the 1st night, our room was not made up. Our key card cannot access the room door. Housekeeping Master card also cannot access our room. no one left a note or even inform us that our room could not be made up and just left the bed untidy. - AC not strong - the walls were doodled in both rooms by previous guests(kids maybe) no effort to touch up painting. - the corridor ventilation is bad, AC not strong. - Cafe breakfast area AC was weak as well. Ventilation quite poor. Pros - Good customer service at the reception - Good location

Its a good places,,,,easy to access a street food..their a bed so comfortable,,,i like their smells hotel very fragrant..the hotel also good to having deep sleep very quiet… their staff also friendly and very helpful,,,their food for breakfast veryy nice and delicious

I paid a high price for a Junior Suite located at the 3rd floor. The ceiling lights not lighted up but I am not bothered. However, the air-con was not cold even after 3hrs! I checked in quite late at night so I didn't bother to request to change room. The next morning, I realize the fridge was also broken, all my drinks are warm. The fitness center, all the treadmills are also broken and cannot be used. I went down to café for my breakfast around 8.30am. Most of the food are already emptied and not refilled. I am very disappointed and this is not what I have expected. The staff working here are nice and polite, the fridge was also changed after my request. However, I will never return again. It's not worth the price I paid, for this kind of rundown facilities.

Good hotel, good food, good staff & good location.

Very old hotel. Has a permanent musky smell. They really need to do extensive maintenance because there are way better hotels for the same price range. Its honestly was very dirty everywhere and I’m surprised people are still booking to stay here. It really needs a whole lot of care and hopefully it gets it soon. Stain in cup, pubic hair at toilet bowl, stain around the shower area, rotting door frame, broken parts on the floor, i mean, it really was disgusting for me. I really would not recommend. I’m sorry.

Cons: Confirmation email from Expedia says Check-in time starts at 2pm while check-in time at hotel says 3pm. Despite waiting till 3pm, room is still not ready and had to wait again. We had reached hotel at about 1.40pm but only managed to go to room after 3.20pm. Plus: Room generally clean.

Staff was helpful and overall pleasant stay. This is not the first time we’re staying here. However this round, although we’re placed on non-smoking floor, can still smell cigarette stench coming from guest room and along doorway.

Spa was great! totally recommended. Check in process could have been better, our queue was cut and the staff did not tell the guy to queue but instead processed his check in first. after check in, was trying to get our child to nap but kept getting disturbed by housekeeping who kept calling our room phone over a half hour period as the system did not update records that we had already checked in.

Smells of old carpet and old furniture. Toilet smell of drain sewer. And there’s mosquitoes?!?!?! View of houses roof?

Staying for 2 nights, hardly have time to explore the hotel

The hotel is great. The bedroom is spacious. It is a walking distance to Nagoya Mall. The breakfast was limited. Serving the same food daily. Was looking forward for the hotel Live Band and sadly there is no Live Band. Other than that the staff is good, helpful & friendly.

Room, breakfast was good..but service from reception was terrible...toilet got choke.inform them 3 times until check out, nothing was done...not considering coming back again..bye bye

No No , don't waste extra money to book Grand deluxe Room. We reached the hotel at 10Pm after dinner, was given room 729. After a good 30min, aircon only blow wind and is not cold at all, technician was send after our call to front desk, after check still not cold, was told by technician that will inform front desk. After a good 30min, nothing . So we went down to front desk to request change of room, was given another grand deluxe on 1023. Same issue that aircon are not cold, worst that this room have a strong foul smell, went down again and was told that there is no more grand deluxe room avail, in normal situation, most hotel will upgrade our room but I was told that either I take 729 or 1023 , if not I would have to pay additional $26 each night for other upgrade room , which this is so ridiculous. after more than 20min of talking as we cant speak Bahasa , and he cant speak proper English, we are not willing to take room729 or 1023 and also not willing to pay addition for upgrade , we were DOWN GRADED to deluxe room with No refund. We took the room 613 and settle in for the night and was told that the management will look into it the next day , no answer from anyone till the 3rd day when we check out, No apologize , No update from hotel . And also we have 2 suits , 2 deluxe 1 grand deluxe booked for this trip , all our 5 room have the same problem, Smelly bed sheet / pillow case . We will strongly avoid this hotel in future .

Do not pay extra to book the Grand Deluxe room , is the worst room type comparing all room type. We book 2 night in Grand Deluxe on 19/20 July 2019 . We were given room 729 at first, air con are totally not cold, we requested to change room after technician checked and was given 1023 , again the aircon are not cold but was told there is no more grand deluxe room for us to change, staff did not upgrade us to other room type but demand us to pay extra walk in price of $26 sgd more each night if we wanted to change to a higher grade room, eventually we are being down grade to lower class deluxe room to settle our night as it was already 1am after all the hassle. Low grade with no refund but were ask to pay if up grade, what a joke. Most hotel would have upgrade their guest to a higher grade room foc but front desk manager did not. Disappointment with bad experience and hope management would look into this.

Hotel was generally okay, and staff courteous. Room amenities can be better- there was no hand towels in our room. Though we requested for non-smoking, we could still smell smoke when in the room and along the corridors.

Pleasant environment, staff polite and can speak English. Bed is comfortable and shower is good. Air-con is cold. Buffet is acceptable except no fruit juice, only coffee. Avoid taking the cab arranged by hotel. Charges RP30,000 just to go Nagoya Hill Mall.

I had a wonderful stay here for my 3D2N trip. All the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, the room was clean and i am very impressed with the selection of TV channels available. Breakfast was great and location of the hotel was very convenient, 10 mins walk to Nagoya shopping mall. Also, theres amazing street food right beside the hotel at night. Only flaw is that the gym appears to not be well equipped and poorly maintained. For its price, this hotel is definitely value for money.

Was surprised the room was so spacious! Distance to the popular Nagoya Hill Mall was quite close, about 7min walk. Crossing the main road to reach the mall will take a bit of good timing and reflexes as traffic at times can be very heavy. Breakfast was not fantastic but is definitely not as bad as some comments made. A decent spread of local and international items are available. Overall satisfied with the stay.

Nice big clean room. Good air-con and shower, great bed and pillows. Breakfast not really catering towards western food, but more than adequate. Walking distance to shops and money changers. The local 'call to prayer' at the nearby mosque proved to be a disturbance to my sleep. At check in, staff would only issue one door card, additional was at a fee. This meant going out,the air-con would be off. I used a card from my wallet which worked.!

Cozy room, variety of foods on breakfast, nice and hospitable staff, very near to shopping malls and other eating places.

The room we boom was amazing! It was spacious and clean and the staff was friendly and attentive! Breakfast buffet was excellent with wide range of food to choose from western to local dish. The only thing that we dislike about the hotel was the wifi connection. It could have been.

Really had a pleasant and enjoyable 2 nights stay at Da Vienna. Staff at the hotel are very approachable and always had a smile on their face. Room is very comfortable and clean. Had two nights of excellent rest. GF had an issue with her comb and got her hair tangled up. Managed to cut off little parts of her hair but it is too tiring to remove the hair from the comb so we threw it away. After we came back from shopping, we found out that the comb has been cleaned and back to its original state when bought. The staff at the hotel really went above and beyond by providing such excellent service. Thank you very much Da Vienna Hotel.

I wish they will improve the in-room dining menu to have more varieties and it will inviting people to order. The rest all satisfying. Friendliness of staff is excellent.

CHECK-IN took about 3-4mins, receptionist couldn't find my booking until I mentioned that I booked through hotels.com CHECK-OUT took about 2mins, filled a survey form and I rated neutral for check-in/check-out process, they looked puzzled. But I thought check-in could be better. Stayed 4D3N in room 601, Executive suite. Room looks exactly as advertised, spacious and there were little stains on the comforter/blanket. Pillows and bed were soft/cushy type. Hotel location is strategic, about 10-15mins walk to BCS or Nagoya hill through the back alleys. Breakfast was nice and generous with lots of variety. My room card key was deactivated daily, I went up to my room with all my shopping bags just to find out that my card was deactivated, so had to go down again with all my bags to reception to re-activate my card. Happened twice in 2 days. I'm not sure if this is the hotel's policy or I got a bad card? Hopefully they will look into this matter. This was a major hassle and disappointment. Since I've already paid for the stay, I shouldn't be locked out of my room right? The staffs were nice and polite, I'd come back to see if there are improvements

Location is great. 7 mins walk to nagoya hill and 13mins to BCS. But do not recommend u to walk under the hot sun. Evening still can walk back to hotel. But have to close busy road. Not suitable for elderly. Taxi that is available from hotel to nagoya about 30k. From hotel to harbour bay hotel about 50k. Should be able to get cheaper taxi if you flagged outside. But no point for the savings. Don bother using apps of any kind to get your taxi. Drivers are very fearful of local taxi companies drivers. Will not pick you up if they see any local taxi drivers. Exterior of the hotel is excellent but interior is a let down. In need of renovation. Hot water may be used up. So take your shower fast. Buffet breakfast decent. A hotel to sleep and nothing more. But for the price, it is decent stay.

Amazing hotel with great service.

Never to book the junior suite room. Condition of the room was horrible. Reception check us into a room that have no bed lights, shower area floor dirty and stain and safe have no batteries and not mount to the wall. Had to call and change room.. and same issue on the safe. Room service were 24 hours but only hand 6 menu each day and there only 3 soft drinks. Never even answer the phone.. compare to evital and hotel 89... a cheaper hotel but with better maintenance of the room.. very disappointing... the spa was perfect.. decent room, clean and service was excellent...should go there for spa

it was a good and pleasant stay at the hotel,breakfast was good,staff was very good,room was also comfortable.the only problem thatbi encounter was while I was sleeping in room 919 at around 3am in the morning,i heard someone showering in the bathroom.as I was very aware of what was happening,i just ignore the sound coming out of the toilet.i knew that there was something in the toilet,all I could do is sleep and pretend that it never happened.please do look into this matter as some customers are very afraid of such things which may happen. appreciated George heng

Location no good , room air con no good , using high fan to blow also not cold , didn’t want to complain because I am staying a night only . Staff friendly and good breakfast cover back the value , overall can take it ..

To my personal comments only. 1) Water shower too small not powerful enough when taking shower. 2) The space for Luggage space is too small, only 1 luggage size. 3) Bedsheet is not very clean and there is a smell on it, stain on it but I never feedback to housekeeping since I stay 2 nights only. 4) Not enough hangers. 5) I don't understand why grab car is not allowed to come to the lobby? I have stayed other XXXX hotels and no problem with the grab car. 6) Good points : the staffs are friendly and helpful. 7) Buffet spread is good if you have a local taste but if you are looking for international buffet style, hotel management may need to consider some improvement with the dishes. 8) Chew services is good. This a first time stay with this hotel satisfy if your standard is not too high. Annie

Nothing great about the hotel except the bed & pillows are soft & comfortable. Room service is expensive as price is exorbitant for a plate of nasi goreng(fried rice) & English tea costed more than IDR 110,000. Only thing available after 10pm. Even hot Milo is also not available.So make sure you have a full stomach before you go back to the hotel in the evening. Will not come back again. Breakfast mediocrea ie average.

Room was very comfortable. Aircon was good throughout unlike some hotel where aircon gets adjusted at night. Lobby nice and comfortable. Staff friendly. Breakfast was good and they replenish and change food items even at 9.30am even though breakfast finish at 10am

We stayed for 1 night. Managed to check in early at 11.45am. Good rest. Nice local food (cheap and delicious) just at the back of the lane besides the hotel on Alfamart side.

Staffs cannot understand English. We ask for non smoking room. But staff not understand English. She was given smoking room. Really disappointed. We told cleaner to change towels and brush. Not even respond for our request. After we came back room afternoon guys changed everything. Breakfast was best.

Not my first time staying at this hotel. Always my first choice for hotel in Batam. Reasonable price, convenient location and friendly service!

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staffs from the bell boy to the staffs at the counter. The rooms interior are a little disappointing, not what we have expected from the photos. Nonetheless, it has everything you will need - especially the bed! It is really comfortable. The breakfast spread was fantastic with eggs and miso noodle section. Da Vienna is only 10 mins walk away from Nagoya Hill mall and 3 mins walk away from the famous Sumatra Satay (Guan Guan coffeeshop). Just right beside the hotel, there is a convenient store. My family really enjoy our stay here.

Hotel was around 10 mins walk to nagoya mall.. Hotel cleanliness could have been much better Had some dust on the floor and walls. found a plastic spoon underneath the bed and a very small piece of chicken bone on e floor But besides that bed sheets were clean, towels smelled good and there's hot water for shower. Breakfast spread was decent..

We stayed at Executive suite, it’s spacious though furnishings is a bit dated. TV wasn’t working well. Housekeeping did not clear a bottle of left over drink from previous guest, still sitting in the mini fridge. Anyway, mini fridge wasn’t cold at all to cool some drinks. Breakfast selection is limited and staff at egg section unable to communicate in English, making it difficult to request for the type of eggs we wish for breakfast. Overall, it’s a enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Friendly hotel staff with good service. Nice breakfast spread, the quality of food can be improved though. It will be good if the hotel provide shuttle service to the Nagoya Hill Mall as the walk to the mall is really not as easily due to the chaotic traffic.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Deluxe room is spacious. However the toilet had a minor flooding issue and the water pressure was pretty weak. Located about 15 min walk from Nagoya Hill Shopping mall, it was slightly further than what I preferred. Breakfast selection was not too great but the staff's friendliness made up for it. Overall I would rate this as a good value hotel.

Our booking specifically requested our room to be non-smoking room and king-sized bed however both was not met. We registered 1h before then check-in time so do not understand how they manage their rooms. Mentioned to us that there are no deluxe king room available and only smoking room is available but when we questioned them again they manage to assigned 1 king sized bed (smoking room) for us 10mins later. As a non smoker , the cigarette smell of the rooms and the corridors was unbearable. Water heater is not working, temperature is way too cold.

The stay was average. Condition of the room could be better, such as TV was not functioning appropriately. Toilet basin was also damaged, with no cover at the hole of the basin.

location of hotel is very near to nagoya hill mall which housed lots of shops n hypermarket .. v good food next to the hotel especially BBQ, martaka 818, chicken wings, fried kway teoh etc ..good for dinner and supper!

Gym was very bad condition all the equipment inside the gym is only to see Not to use because the multiple excersie equipment is very hard to operate they must change the equipment and spa is very expensive. We order one pizza and condition of pizza is very bad all the white powder are spread on pizza and cannot eat also then we call the restaurant person about the pizza he simply say that pizza is like this type only I think you eating pizza first time this Make me to fee very bad so I will not stay in this hotel again thanks

I honestly did not expect much from a 3 star hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised as to how lovely the rooms and staff were! The location was fantastic, being next to the Ikan Bakar ACIA eating place (where you could get inexpensive BBQ seafood), and of course Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. The breakfast was acceptable but not fantastic - I cannot complain about the quality much because it was thrown in FOC! The food served to fill my stomach a little before I went out about my day.

Nice, clean cosy hotel. Stayed here for 2 nights. Booked the Junior Suite which came with a bathub. Room is very spacious with 2 televisions. Very near Nagoya hill shopping mall. Food in the hotel was good, ordered room service a few times. Good value for money..

I booked for non smoking room and what I got was smoking room. It was bit smelly.

All the way is okay, but very nearby the temple, morning a little bit noisy..

Very good breakfast where you should expect local delights. If you watch out for continental breakfast you'll be disappointed. The hallways of the floors should be freed from used table ware more frequently but that was the only point that wasn't okay from my point of view.

Bad experience have to wait for AIRCON to be fix while my wife is not feeling well. 2hour later move to another room that is not that clean. Wine cool is dirty inside. All this happen is at midnight. Compare price for hotel Taxi. Hotel 98, hotel taxi to Nagoya hill RP 30000. Davina ,hotel Taxi to Nagoya hill RP 50000.

Awesome experience @ De Vienna. Bed was decorated with Love Swan made by towel and beautiful nice smell flowers. definitely will come back again.

Its a clean and nice hotel buT there ads mislead guest . They put in the add that they have an outdoor pool bUt theres no swimmingpool me a d my husband disappointed aboUt it we want to reLax and chill . We celebrate our anniversary that day . Hope they change the ads . So u wont disapoint ur guest .

It was a good hotel,friendly staff. You feel very welcoming. Location wise, it's within walking distance to Nagoya Mall. Room cleanliness was okay, it could be better.

Had a quick stay for 1 night, everything was well except for one part where i had to wait 10mins just for the staff to look for my booking. Other than that the hotel is really clean and value for money for a boutique hotel. Will come back again in april.
