Unfriendly unhelpful staff. We asked politely if they could book us a reservation in a restaurant as we don’t speak French. They refused. Rude owners who later shouted and harangued us in the street in public for simply opening the wrong door to the street in error as it was dark and we couldn’t see the instructions on the back of the door. Deeply upsetting. We would never stay there again. Shame as it’s a pretty hotel in a lovely location.

Beautiful property, great location, lovely, comfortable room. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful.

Wir hatten einen sehr sehr schönen Aufenthalt in diesem kleinen, zentral gelegenen zauberhaften Hotel. Dicht am Schloss und direkt in der Fußgängerzone ist das Hotel ruhig und mit dem kleinen Innenhof eine wirkliche Oase. Die Zimmer sind ganz neu und auch die übrige Ausstattung des Hotels ist sehr sehr geschmackvoll, liebevoll ungemütlich. Zusätzlich war das Personal unglaublich freundlich. Wir können diese Unterkunft wirklich uneingeschränkt empfehlen und werden mit Sicherheit noch einmal wiederkommen.

Tout était parfait. C'est la 2ème fois que je viens et je reviendrai sans hésitation si besoin.

Personnel très sympathique et flexible. Très bon accueil. Hôtel à deux pas du château et des restaurants. Nous sommes venus en vélo et avons pu facilement les stocker dans le local prévu à cet effet. Très bon petit déjeuner.

Nous n’avons pas réussi à faire fonctionner la ventilation dans la chambre (celle au RDC), il faisait donc chaud la nuit.

The history of the hotel being a boys school and the first girls school, the history of the building was intact despite modernizing as a hotel. Superb location, gorgeous courtyard garden, and excellent recommendations from the host for restaurants depending on your budget.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel situé à 100m du château d'azay ! Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Thomas. La chambre était au calme dans une petite ruelle menant tout droit au château ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir ! A bientôt

We loved the warm welcome from our hosts. Taking the excellent breakfast in the beautiful courtyard was amazing. It was a tranquil spot with a great location just next to the château. The bed was very comfortable and the entire building is charming.

Nous avons adoré notre chambre N°8, l'intérieur et la terrasse privative sur laquelle nous avons pris le petit déjeuner. Des premiers échanges à l'arrivée, tout était parfait et dans la simplicité.

Le garage pour mettre la voiture à l'ombre, à 100m de l'hôtel. Nous reviendrons certainement, pour plusieurs nuits cette fois ci. La chambre spacieuse et très agréable.

Pouvoir prendre un café dans la chambre serait un plus, mais l'ensemble reste exceptionnel.

The location and general standard of the hotel. Well maintained and tastefully designed / decorated . Staff very helpful indeed.

I think breakfast could be rethought. It's quite inaccessible when the majority of guests arrive. I think more extensive fruit options could be provided . I think guests should be told on check in that there is a bistro service from 4-7. We were only aware of this on check out

Wir waren für eine Übernachtung im Städtchen Azay-le-Rideau im Hôtel de Biencourt. Fußläufig erreichten wir in wenigen Minuten das schöne Schloss. Das zauberhafte Hôtel de Biencourt - eine ehemalige Schule - hat Charme und wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Wir wurden freundlich vom Personal empfangen. Die sauberen und ordentlichen Zimmer verfügen über eine Klimaanlage, sodass uns wir uns von der Hitze von beinahe 40 Grad erholen konnten. Außerdem gehören zum Hotel ein gemütlicher Innenhof sowie ein Salon, die zum Verweilen einladen.

Es gab nichts zu beanstanden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

El parking no está en el mismo edificio, sino a unos 100 metros en una plaza, pero se llega muy bien y rápido

Nous avons tout aimé!

Hôtel situé à 2 pas du château dans une rue animée. Notre chambre était petite mais confortable. Elle donnait sur un petit balcon sur cour. Nous avons dormi la fenêtre ouverte sans un bruit. Petit dej super !!!

Petit bémol sur la Clim pas très puissante : la chambre était à 26 au moment du coucher malgré le fonctionnement de celle-ci pendant plusieurs heures.

Everything. Our room, though a modest "comfort double", had everything we could wish for: spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and pillows, pristine bathroom and tranquility beyond compare. There was an attractive lounge available to us and breakfast was excellent in quality and variety. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, polite or friendly. I can't recommend this wonderful hotel too highly.

Der Kontakt zum Hotel war bereits beim Buchungszeitpunkt super sympathisch und freundlich. Wir haben uns schon im Voraus sehr auf den Aufenthalt in dieser alten Schule gefreut und viel Liebe zum Detail vorgefunden. Die Unterkunft ist außerordentlich sauber und die Zimmer sehr gemütlich und modern gestaltet. Das Frühstück haben wir mit den lokalen Produkten "im grünen Schulhof" sehr genossen. Die ruhige Lage mitten in der Fußgängerzone kurz vor den Toren des Schlosses ist einfach toll. Für die E-Bikes ist mit Stellplatz und Ladenmöglichkeit umfassend gesorgt. Wir sagen nochmals ganz herzlich MERCI für diese schönen Urlaubstage in Azay-le-Rideau!

L'hôtel est situé tout près du château. La chambre était jolie et climatisée. Très calme.

La chambre était très petite et comme elle était située sous le toit, une partie se trouvait sous la charpente en pente. Il fallait faire attention de ne pas se cogner pour sortir du lit. Plusieurs étages devaient être gravis par les escaliers avec les bagages.

Lovely old building in the centre of Azay le Rideau very close to the chateau, with lots of restaurants near by. Charming courtyard garden where you can have breakfast. Air conditioning was very welcome in the hot weather. The proprietors were charming and helpful.

Das Personal hat die klare Instruktionen für Gäste kein Taxi zu bestellen und am Morgen keinen Espresso zu machen. Gastfreundschaft sieht anders aus.

Hôtel de charme à taille humaine situé en plein coeur d'Azay le rideau à proximité du château et de restaurants plutôt qualitatifs et avec un très bon accueil. Le grand plus, pendant cette période de canicule, est la climatisation des chambres qui permet ainsi de passer de bonnes nuits réparatrices. Notre chambre en RDC était très agréable suffisamment spacieuse et avec WC séparé. Possibilté de prendre le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse de la cour intérieur.

J'ai l'habitude de prendre du jus d'orange au petit déjeuner, il n'y avait que du jus de pomme ou jus pomme/cassis. En période de fortes chaleurs, une bouteille d'eau fraîche dans la chambre serait très appréciée.

Das Städtchen Azay-le-Ridaud hat eine besondere Ausstrahlung, ebenso dieses Hotel. Unmittelbare Nähe zum Schloss Azay-le-Ridaud. 2 Restaurant Optionen gleich nebenan. Sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr schnelle Reaktion auf Nachrichten, auch in Englisch. Fahrräder können abgesichert in einer Garage untergebracht werden.

Emplazamiento perfecto, en una calle muy céntrica con parking tanto público como privado muy cerca. El parking privado mucho más barato por estar alojados en el hotel. Todo muy limpio. Todo el personal muy amable y eficiente. La habitación muy agradable y espaciosa. Colchón y almohadas muy cómodos. El baño también muy bien. Sin ruidos de otras habitaciones. El desayuno correcto; muy atentos a reponer en todo momento.

Las camas muy estrechas. Poca variedad de fruta en el desayuno. Se oye bastante el ruido exterior aunque en nuestro caso no fue un problema porque el pueblo estaba muy tranquilo.

Chambre trop petite... télévision minuscule, terrasse inexploitable. Bien pour une nuit pas plus. On y dort bien, mais on est pas enclin d'y rester.

Friendly and efficient welcome. The hotel is beautifully presented in a converted nineteenth century school. Comfortable bed, excellent shower. very good breakfast. Right in the centre of the overly village. Plenty of good restaurants. Booked a space in their garage.

Dans la chambre dite cosy, en se levant du lit nous tombons sur l arete du plafond et en revenant aussi Chambre tombant sur un mur et un toit à hauteur d yeux.

Très joli hôtel. Nous étions sous les toits en période de canicule et n’avons pas eu trop chaud. Tous les équipements étaient nickel et très bon petit déjeuner

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans ce petit hôtel tout mignon. Un propriétaire super sympa et là pour ses clients. Notre chambre était bien. l'emplacement incroyable à 2 min à pieds du château. un chouette pied à terre pour 1 ou 2 nuits au coeur de la Loire

dans les toits il fait vraiment chaud mais une climatisation est à disposition pour rendre le séjour agréable.

Very cosy and well-designed hotel in the middle of the town at only 100m of the entrance to the magnificent Chateau de Azay. Friendly staff, comfortable beds and a tasty breakfast on the outside terrace.

Thomas at the guest was a huge help in assisting us with dinner recommendations and reservations and extremely hospitable and friendly. The garden room was bright and airy and the hotel was very quiet overall.

Prachtig kleinschalig hotel in het mooie centrum, ruime kamer en badkamer, heel netjes, super vriendelijk onthaal. Uitstekend ontbijt, een echte aanrader. Direct ernaast heb je een auberge/restaurantje 'Auberge Radieuse', heel lekker gegeten (best reserveren).

It was quaint to have all the rooms in this former boy's school with plaques of famous authors such as Victor Hugo and Baudelaire as well as school artifacts from that time period. The hotel was also just about 200 yards from Azay le Rideau!

One of the female employees was less than courteous when we were genuinely having trouble with the front door of the establishment - fearing we would be locked out when we went out to eat.

Lage und Zustand des Hotels waren sehr gut. Die Zimmer waren anstandslos sauber und die Zimmer wurden jeden Tag geordnet und gesäubert. Der Gesamtzustand des Zimmers war neuwertig. Der Empfang und die Freundlichkeit des Hoteleigentümers sowie der Angestellten wären sehr herzlich. Die Schlösser der Loire sind klasse, Herausragend für Gartenliebhaber sind besonders die Schlösser Villandry sowie Chermont-sur-Loire zu erwähnen. Die Loire ist immer eine Reise wert. Top.

Das Frühstücksbuffet hätte etwas umfangreicher sein können (z.B. etwas Obst). Des Weiteren wäre eine Abwechslung bei Käse und Wurst empfehlenswert. Kleine Hinweise, aber Im Ganzen waren wir sehr sehr zufrieden und können dieses Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.
