Omstead's On Erie

Great bed and breakfast, hosted by the Omsteads. The vintage decor is supported by great modern touches (lights in the right places), and an amazing location on the shores of Lake Erie. The breakfast is a highlight - great coffee, amazing, freshly made food and a great combination of fresh flavours. Margo and Keith are great local hosts, who treat you like family. You arrive as strangers and leave like great friends.

Margot and Keith were the perfect hosts. The breakfasts were unique and very tasty (you can ask for "normal" breakfasts (English, Continental, etc), if you wish.

The house was in an excellent location on the shore of Lake Erie. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

Omstead's B&B is located at a beautiful waterfront cottage with a scenic view of Lake Erie. Private beach and large backyard garden are yours to enjoy during your stay. The backyard is facing east so it is also a perfect location to experience sunrise. With warm-hearted hosts serving gourmet breakfast, you will enjoy a pleasant and unforgettable stay of your trip. There is nothing to complain. We'd like to thank Margo and Keith for their wonderful hospitality and hope to stay in their lovely cottage again during our next trip.

We had a fabulous time. Hosts were amazing and generous. Although weather did not permit us to follow our plan exactly, our hosts helped us make the best of our stay!

This was the greatest chance find I’ve ever made. Had been looking for a place to stay in the region, but nothing was available at a reasonable price. This BnB has a mystical feel to it, very serene and peaceful. You are dotted on from the moment you arrive, but not smothered. It feels like going to visit your favourite aunt and uncle for a night, or for however long you stay.

This is a lovely and quiet property with incredibly gracious hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed getting to sit lakeside on a cool summer evening, being treated to local food delights, and feeling welcomed like friends. We'd recommend to anyone!

The location was perfect, on the shore of Lake Erie. There’s several areas outside to rest and visit by the lake. The hot breakfasted were out of this world! And the hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Margot and Keith are the quintessential hosts. They have a wonderful home and they have an amazing backyard and patio that hugs Lake Erie's shoreline. The breakfast would win a prize in a gourmet cooking magazine. My wife and I have travelled around the world and this is, by far, without a doubt, the VERY BEST BNB we have ever stayed at. Thank you Margot and Keith for making our stay so relaxing, so welcoming and so easy. We will stay with you again, that's for sure!

Nicely put together

A fantastic and unique experience! The property is located right by the water with incredible view of Lake Erie, stunning night sky, the milky way and gorgeous sunrise. Margo has a world of knowledge on everything and was the friendliest host I ever have at a B&B. We were treated with such attentiveness, from bringing us quilts while we sat outside to leaving flashlight & bug spray knowing that we planned to stargaze in the middle of the night. The breakfast, oh the breakfast! Five star food with five star service! Just the food she served at breakfast is enough reason to stay there!! Love to go back!

This was the best b&b experience we have ever had. Margo and Keith were very welcoming hosts, and their home was so lovely and comfortable, with a beautiful view right on the lake (the pictures on here do not do it justice!). And oh my gosh - the food! Margo is an excellent cook, her breakfasts were unbelievable. Everything was just so lovely, we did not want to leave. We will definitely stay at the Omstead’s on Erie B&B if ever we are back in the area.

Amazing host!! The breakfast is simply divine. This property is conveniently access to restaurants, wineries and Point Pelee National Park. The BnB is located on the shoreline with a superb view, where can you get a more beautiful sunrise! Both Margo and Keith is wonderful, thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! Need a break - this is the place to be, leaving relax and unwind.

It was a wonderful first time Bed and Breakfast experience. The hosts Keith and Margo were welcoming , pleasant and informative. The veiw of the sun coming up on the lake in the morning was breath taking and the moon in the evening was also beautiful. The breakfast were out standing Margo is a fabulous cook. They made us feel like family. Margo packed us a nice sweet treat that we enjoyed later in the day. We were truly spoiled and definitely will be back.

The property is on the shore of Lake Erie, the view is incredible. The owner, Margo Omstead is amazing. She takes pride in her home, and she makes you feel at home. The breakfasts are awesome, with home made bread and fresh ingredients. My husband and I will definitely go back to stay with the Omsteads.

Our hosts, Margo and Keith, were thoughtful and informative providing an evening of delightful conversation including a history of the area and home. We felt quite welcome in the home which was clean, warm and decorated in a way that ensured curiosity and conversation. The location on the shores of Lake Erie is peaceful and beautiful and is a perfect place to "get away". Breakfast was delicious and exceptional. We would return when in the area.

This was my second stay. Gorgeous inside and outside of home. Hosts Keith and Margo are a great team that give great service and make a wonderful homemade breakfast. Impeccable attention to requests and details. They treat you like friends that are visiting. Love this vintage place. The view and sounds of the waves are added bonus. Will definitely visit again.

This was our first stay at a b&b. Beautiful property decorated with antiques. Hosts were very friendly and attentive. Margo is an excellent cook. We had a three course breakfast each morning. You wont leave the table hungry. My daughter and I enjoyed sitting in the living room in the evening after going out exploring by their fireplace with a glass of wine. This was our first trip to Canada. Will be returning again. I want to try Margo famous pizza.

This is simply the best place to stay in the Pelee Point area. Located right on the Lake Erie shore, you sleep to the soft sound of the water. Excellent service, and a delicious breakfast. Absolutely superb. located only a shirt drive from everything. Whether you're here for pleasure or business, this is the right place to stay.

We felt completely pampered at this wonderful place! Not one thing was overlooked.. beautiful property, delicious breakfasts, friendly owners, stunning gardens, and private but central location in the county. Everything from towel warmers in the bath to wine at the water's edge has been anticipated and provided.

Beautiful setting backing on to Lake Erie. House was a typical early 20th century cottage with an addition. Cute and charming. Our hosts were very gracious and pleasant. Very tasty breakfast and would prepared to rival any 5 star restaurant.

The B &B was excellent. I enjoyed the hospitality and the talks with the owner. Went for birding at Point Pelee. Saw some rare birds. Had an excelkent time. Very relaxing!

Charming cottage by the lake, delicious food, wonderful hosts

Travelling back from Detroit to Niagara. Great centre for Point Pelee National Park. Great hosts and a really first class breakfast. We had a wonderful time at this B & B.

First, you are hit with the gorgeous setting of the inn overlooking Lake Erie (yes, it is right on the lake). The sunsets and sunrises were spectacular! Second, from the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty! The hosts were gracious and welcoming. Their attention to detail is amazing. And they are the perfect pair for innkeepers. In fact, once you feel you are getting to know them, you don't want to leave. Thirdly, the inn is beautifully decorated in period furnishings consistent with the age of the inn. You can spend lots of time pursuing their very tasteful collections. And the beds? Extremely comfortable and inviting. And last, but certainly not least, the food. I have never had a better breakfast! From the fresh perch and fresh vegetables to the homemade bread and jellies, every bite was delicious. We will definitely be heading back at our next opportunity and sending every person we know to Omstead's on Erie!

Super nice hosts, best signature breakfast ever.

To stay at this place is a superise of our trip. The house has very beautiful decorations, paintings and the room is clean and cute. The hosts are so nice, told us about the history of their house, the advice of our visiting plan. The breakfast prepared by the hostess was very very delicious. It is so impressive to stay here.

We highly recommend the Omsteads on Erie B&B. The property is right on the lake and is absolutely beautiful. Margo is a perfect hostess, who made us us feel right at home. She’s also a wonderful cook and the breakfast was superb. She took care to accommodate my wife who is vegan. We will return.
