Sabai@Kan Resort

We had an absolutely great 3 day stay here. Would highly recommend to anyone. We had a downstairs poolside room and loved it overlooking the lovely gardens. It was extremely clean and well appointed. The gardens and pool area are amazing and so relaxing. Breakfast was included and very nice. Location is excellent within walking distance to all Kanchanaburi offers including the bridge, museums, and train station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would have liked to stay longer but they were sold out not surprisingly.

Family operated small scale resort, nice spacious rooms, tranquil garden with nice swimmingpool and beds. Nice breakfast and centrally located at a quiet location. Great scooter rentals next door .

We stayed for 3 nights in a triple room on the ground floor, so we had a lovely little terrace area. The hotel is wonderful with a garden oasis, including a swimming pool to enjoy and relax after a day sightseeing. The location is perfect to walk to the Bridge and the hotel can call a tuk tuk/taxi if you want to go and explore further afield. There are bars and restaurants nearby, easy to walk to. Breakfast is included on a buffet style and lovely to eat out in the garden. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is extremely clean, lovely and quiet for a good nights sleep and the rooms are well equipped for your stay. Definately recommend. We contacted the hotel directly via their own website, which saves you money and obviously helps the hotel not having to pay booking fees.

Quiet ideal location close to everything we required. Staff were excellent and able to organise a takeout breakfast as we had an early start. Plus PJ s dining across the road was excellent. Would happily recommend.

A beautifully laid out tranquil hotel just outside of Kanchanaburi perfect for families, good food, great pool, fantastic prices and lovely helpful staff.

I liked it here I got room 204 and it was a beautiful view from the window, it was bright green and have the pool in the background. Me and my family went into the pool and it was the best. We also got the breakfast and it was delicious they gave you a piece of paper to fill out of all the foods you can get. I enjoyed my stay thank you!

We had nice relaxing stay in the heart of the river Kwai district. Great breakfast, clean spacious room. Friendly staff, very quite and private. The restaurant serves breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast was free, We had many different options to choose from. Our daughter took advantage of this.

This is a wonderful spot. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is tasty and the garden is beautiful. We loved having a room by the pool, which is well maintained and perfect for cooling off in. The pool deck is a great spot for watching the sunset.

We had a wonderful five days at Sabai@kan. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. The pool and grounds are immaculate and the breakfast is superb It's only a short walk to the bridge and short tuk tuk rides to most other places.

Ideal place for our stay in Kanchaburi, well located for Bridge on Kwai. Would recommend room with pool view. Accomodation comfortable and clean and good value, staff were very friendly and helpful. Very close to restaurants and bars.

A little paradise, tranquil and calming setting in a busy resort town. A good choice of breakfast buffet. Towels for pool use provided as well as the room towels.

Old property, not modernized. Terrible lighting in bathroom. No hot water in sink. No closet for hanging clothes. No chest 0f drawers for keeping things. Property is clean and staff very friendly and courteous

Loved this small friendly hotel. 700m from the bridge but there are great bars and restaurants very close by. Staff very friendly and helpful. Price very reasonable. I will definitely go back.

We stayed at Sabai@Kan Resort 10yrs ago. The Hotel is still as good if not better. Staff very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere at hotel is very quiet and relaxing. We did 3 excursions while at hotel. They arranged car and driver. For these trips. Thankyou for making our stay so special.

The staff always had time for you answering questions with a smile and always attentive to your needs. Room is spacious. I would stay again.

The hotel room is very clean and presentable and accommodating. The staff was pleasant but not very enthusiastic with tourists. However, this is the only hotel (out of 9 hotels) in Thailand that did not provide essentials such as cotton buds, toothbrush/toothpaste, Kleenex tissues, hand towels and unlimited bottled water.

This is the second time I have stayed here and if anything it has improved even further from what I recall from my last visit 5 years ago. Very well presented, lovely rooms, beautifully clean, wonderful staff and extremely well priced.

We stayed at the Sabai at Kan in late May. Kanchanaburi was very quiet, especially after staying in hectic Bangkok. We stayed on the main floor (upstairs). We had a view of lovely trees and the mountains. The room was large and wonderful. We ordered breakfast and it too was very good. The restaurant across the street (JP's) was so good that we went there twice. We would stay again.

Sabai@Kan is a lovely hotel. The front desk staff speak English, and are very friendly and helpful. They provided us with great information to make the most of our one day in the area. The room was comfortable and clean, and overlooked a pretty pool. The price was also reasonable. The location was close to the Bridge and shopping, and not far from the Thai-Burmese Railway Center. Breakfast was nice with some hot and cold choices.

We travelled here together with friends in December 2023 as a base to visit the Bridge on the River Kwai and the Erawan National Park, I wasn't expecting that the hotel itself would be such a highlight. Literally within walking distance of the Bridge and associated museums, the hotel is beatifully and unobtrusively designed, with a layout that extends around a central garden area an pool. The rooms were spacious, with comofrtable beds and with the extremely valuable inclusion of a fridge. Our rooms overlooked the pool and gardens and were a joy to stay in, especially at night when the sounds of wildlife penetrate the air. You are close enough to the main road to walk, but far enough for the area to be quiet, even with the numerous restaurants and bars located close by, catering for local street foods up to higher qulaity international fare. The kids loved playing in the pool, while the ladies luxuriated in massages on a daily basis. This left the men sitting by the pool supervising the kids and even this was a comfortable, pleasant experience. Breakfast has a nice variety of local and international foods and it was very easy to eat your fill every day before starting out on your adventures. On that note, the staff were extremely helpful in facilitating whatever you needed and the drivers etc they called seemed to be very reasonably priced. So yeah. a beautiful place. there aren't many hotels that I leave thinking 'I must come back here', but this one hits the spot in every way.

Lovely and very clean resort, very friendly and warm reception. Good location and good priced close to the river kwai bridge. Rent a scooter just nearby! We just recommend this easy going accomodation! We will come back when in the region!!

We have stayed at Sabai@Kan twice and both times our experience was wonderful. This is a lovely little oasis in the heart of Kanchanaburi. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is good in the little restaurant, the rooms are comfortable and the pool is fabulous to cool off on a hot afternoon! We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable bed, large shower. Large room. Helpful & very pleasant staff. The rooms 100, 101, 102, 103, 104 & 105 looking over the gardens & pool are the pick. Good location, 10min walk to River Kwai Bridge & a reasonable selection of cafe's & restaurants all close by.

Super friendly and helpful staff

Amazing place - the pool and gardens are lovely and the rooms very clean and new - great value for money. The staff were super helpful and even made me a packed lunch when I had to leave early.

Stayed in Nov 2022 in a standard room. Pros: -bed is medium firmness but comfortable -pillow is fine too -2 free glass bottles of water -breakfast not bad with ham, eggs, rice porridge, noodles, rice, salad, bread and toast, sausage, fruits and pancake. the lady here while english not perfect helped me navigate some food intolerances i had, so my thanks to her. -swimming pool looked nice and the gardens were relaxing. -hand soap bar provided. -1 toilet paper roll and shower gel and shampoo is provided. -shower is nice once it gets started. -towels for shower and towels for swimming pool is provided in the room. -room safe, kettle, tea and coffee and a small fridge is provided. -in a good location with some food pretty much across the road and 7-11 further down the road. -staff are friendly and courteous -wifi is good -overall rating 4.25/5 would recommend Cons: -no tissue box provided -bathroom sink is low -the hot water of the shower takes a while to stabilise.

Good value hotel. Very hippie inside which is nice. Simple but adequate breakfast. A little far from main tourist site if you walk. With a car, its like a 5-6min drive.

We stayed here for a night in Dec 2022 and were really pleased with the comfort, cleanliness and location of the hotel. All the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was very good, bed comfy, good aircon and the location was convenient. Great value for money.

My second stay. Nothing has changed in the last few years since my last time here. Everything is well maintained the pictures do not do it justice. The garden is beautiful nice to sit outside your room. The staff is so friendly and can arrange anything you need. Upon return from one of my tours the lady at reception asked how was our day. I will stay again.

Fab little hotel . Breakfast really good . Staff extremely helpful and great location. The only problem was the swimming pool as the water was not very clean and other guests noted the same . Despite this , as I’m not a lover of swimming pools . I would definitely book this Hotel again . Request ground floor swimming pool . Really nice to sit outside your room and chill with a couple of drinks .

I stayed here for around six nights (I forget the exact number ) as part of a 2022 road trip that included 10 days in Kanchanaburi Province. As I mentioned in my other recent Kanchanaburi hotel reviews, I have yet to find any accommodations in this area that suit my taste for less than 800-900 THB. I thought that at a walk-in rate of 900 THB, this property is about as good as it gets. The room was clean, well maintained, comfortably appointed, and suitable for an extended stay. The air conditioning, hot water, wi-fi, and refrigerator worked fine. The linen, towels, and bedding were good enough. The staff was friendly and helpful. The swimming pool looked clean and inviting but I never did use it. There is adequate parking for those of us who self-drive. All and all an excellent stay and I will probably stay here again on my next visit to Kanchanaburi.

Spent a weekend at Sabai@Kham in February 2020. The most impressive feature is the staff: lovely warm, friendly and helpful people. The rooms are basic but comfortable. We had two rooms, one had ok wifi, but the second, at the end of a corridor had little or no wifi service. Could be improved. The hotel has lush, tropical gardens and is only 10 minutes walk to the famous bridge. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was excellent; a good selection of western and Asian items, bread and pastries. One odd feature was that because of the grade of our room, we did not get hand towels- yet this is not a budget hotel.

My wife and I initially booked a couple of nights here after reading other people's reviews. We arrived to find a small but lovely hotel. The owners employ a surprising number of staff and consequently everything is immaculately maintained; it's probably the cleanest hotel we've stayed at. The owners and staff are also some of the friendliest and most helpful. This became particularly important to us when the Coronavirus outbreak started to grip Thailand and our two day stop in Kanchanaburi turned into nine days. The staff reassured and supported us, helping us to plan our 'escape' back to the UK. With most local restaurants closing, we had little choice but to eat in the hotel restaurant; something we wouldn't normally do. In this instance we found that the hotel restaurant food was excellent and probably better value than most of the local restaurants. It was also lovely to be able to eat in the hotel's beautiful garden. All in all, my wife and I felt we'd been very lucky to find this hotel and hope to return one day.

This is a great little hotel/resort. Peaceful garden area with swimming pool, nice buffet breakfast with pleasant staff. Rooms very clean and bed very comfortable. Mini bar very reasonably priced. Excellent value for many. Can’t ask for much more considering the price. Near all the major attractions as well. Would definitely stay again.

It is a nice small resort where staff provide good service to their guests. Most of the rooms are facing the garden and the pool, make you feel great to start off the day with such view. There are many nice eateries around the area too.

Have been coming to Kanchanaburi for years and at last have found a place that ticks the boxes. Firstly the staff are excellent. Friendly and informative. We had a garden room which gives you outside seating; well worth the slightly higher price. The room was adequately furnished, although a couple of things niggled - no decent bedside lights for reading at night and no actual wardrobe or drawers in room; hanging rail only. Apart from this we really enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfy and bed sheets and towels were changed every day. The air con was quiet and effective. The garden is lovely and there is a small pool with chairs and parasols. We only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was fine. We will definitely stay here on our next trip.

This property is excellent value for money. The gardens beautiful and staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. It is a small hotel and is a short walk to the bridge and in the opposite direction to the main streetstreet. You could take a taxi for 40 - 60 baht. We stayed for five nights. It was quiet and peaceful. We did eat at the hotel once for breakfast and once for dinner but preferred the local flavours of the many reserants nearby. The room was very clean. Also you can arrange to have a massage in your room. There is a place next door to rent scooters.

Everything was fantastic! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. The pool was beautiful. To top it off we even got in room massages!

What a find! The garden is just the most lovely setting for breakfast (and dinner!). The hotel staff can do and get anything for you - affordable laundry service, rides to Erewan and other cool things (cave temple and old tree) almost on-demand, and IN ROOM massages (some of the best we've had and same price as going out).

Very nice room over looking the garden and swimming pool. Pool although small was very clean and warm, very relaxing too. Lots of different places to eat nearby and not too far to walk to the bridge but would still recommend driving if have have car. A very friendly, family feel to this resort.

Sabai@Kan is a small hotel with simple but lovely rooms. The Reception staff are very friendly & helpful, the cleaning staff do an excellent job each day. The ground floor rooms open onto the verandah, the pretty garden & out to the pool. The breakfast was very average but the dinners (served in the garden) were amazing. Penang & Mussaman Curry was awesome & the Spring Rolls are the best. We enjoyed time at the pool - the only negative is the cushions on the sun-lounges are covered in black vinyl which gets burning hot. Really enjoyed our stay here as well as Kanchanaburi itself. Definitely recommend Sabai@Kan. PS: we stayed 4 nights

Loved the staff, the gardens and the pool. The room was quite nice, good linens, bed and shower. Only complaint is All the hot breakfast food is VERY COLD. Our second morning I just had a salad and some fruit. Who wants to eat cold rice, noodles or eggs?

The reception staff was most welcoming & helpful. We stayed 5 nights and ate most of our meals at the resorts. All the meals were very good, reasonably priced, with good service. The pool & garden area provided a wonderful respite after a day of touring. The room was very comfortable with excellent wi fi.

The hotel has a nice, intimate vibe with immaculate rooms and staff that is so helpful and kind! As the town in not very eventful, it is nice to stay at the hotel that you feel comfortable. The garden area is beautiful, breakfast was tasty and the level of hygiene was indeed commendable. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We liked the calm environment of the Sabai @Kan with its rooms set out around a lush garden & pool. Room very comfortable & spacious - would recommend a ground floor room which has an outdoor seating space. Everything is kept spotless. Best of all the staff team are really efficient, knowledgeable and thoughtful.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I liked the layout of the hotel and my room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast wasn't overly large, but they have everything you need. I liked that the hotel is along the main road of restaurants, bars, and shops, but is far enough down that you can get away from it all. The pool area is beautiful and wonderfully quaint. Definitely worth a stay.

My brother and I stayed here for 2 nights after splitting from a tour group to see elephant haven and the erawan waterfalls. Staff was beyond helpful in organizing transportation, spoke great english, and were so friendly and genuine. The room, hotel and pool were spotless! Food (including free breakfast) was great. Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend to everyone. The price cannot be beat for what you're getting! Thank you for a great experience!

This property is quaint and beautiful. Request a pool side room, just a few steps from a refreshing pool. It is small but wasn’t busy during my stay. Chairs outside the room to sit and relax. The room was spotless and very large. Staff super helpful. Breakfast complete with the usual choices. A 10 minutes walk to the bridge and 15 minutes to the Railway museum and cemetery. Easy to walk to bars and restaurants.
