Die Lage am südlichen Ortsrand von Bad Wiessee verbindet Ruhe und Nähe: Ein idyllischer Rückzugsort, und doch erreicht man das Zentrum bequem in wenigen Gehminuten. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Herzlichkeit des gesamten Teams. Die Gastgeber sind aufmerksam, authentisch und schaffen eine Atmosphäre, die den Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem macht. Ein Hotel, das man nur ungern verlässt – und zu dem man mit Freude zurückkehrt. Ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die Erholung, Qualität und familiären Charme schätzen.

The property was very well furnished which made for an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay. The facilities provided exceeded all expectations, the stay for us was very scenic, enjoyable and as a result we will be coming back soon!

Everything impeccable!

Landhaus am Stein is the perfect, high end, Bavarian relaxation hotel. It is a well run small hotel with a classy spa. The decor, comfort and maintenance are impeccable. The staff is totally professional, knowledgable of the area and super sweet. You really get the feeling you are being taken care of. The breakfasts are wonderful and include local products, and home made treats. The location is in a quiet area, yet close walking distance to the lake. You wake up with roosters crowing and have your afternoon cocktail with cowbells sounding in the distance. There are 2 ferry boat stops a short walk away. The staff knows all the fabulous restaurants in the area and the food is some of the best we have had anywhere. We have gone back to this hotel 4 times and are going back next year we love it so much. The towns around the lake are very upscale yet small and walkable. You can walk or bike everywhere or take the ferry boats to each town around the lake. There are extensive established hiking and biking trails on the beautiful mountains and on the lake. The water is crystal clear on Lake Tagernsee.

The entire staff was fabulous. Upon arrival the owner sat down with us to ask what we wanted to experience around Tegernsee. She identified all the things she thought we might enjoy and she was spot on.

Stellar breakfast really beautifully displayed - very many options, eggs cooked to order, coffee as you wish. Very friendly staff offering tips for how to spend the day. Every single item in the hotel seemed to be curated with care - too many details to list - but I noticed! Really lovely touches everywhere you look. Regional décor in typical Bavarian/Alpine style but not at all outdated or drab. Fabulous pool and infrared and steam saunas. Plenty of parking directly in front of the hotel. Easy and safe walk to the lake.

Das Landhaus am Stein ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, hat einen wunderbaren Garten und total herzliches Personal. Der Umgang mit den Gästen ist sehr persönlich, man fühlt sich von Beginn an sofort wohl.

We booked this b&b expecting something more on the simple and quaint side, and while it was certainly quaint, it exceeded our expectations. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is fabulous. And in the German tradition, it is included. They serve breakfast until you wake up, and when I rushed off to have a massage, no one looked at me strange when I returned for another coffee. The rooms are spacious and I was surprised at the lovely pool and massage/spa facilities. I had a massage with Herr Schaeffer and it was excellent. i also had a facial, which was also very nice. We stayed only 2 nights and did not want to leave. I recommend at least 3 nights, if not more. There is plenty to do here in terms of hiking and relaxing. I highly recommend it for families, as we stayed with our two children.

A beautiful house kept in Tyrol style. My room was great and had a terrace with chairs and a table so you could sit outside and enjoye the evening. The staff was really nice and helpfull. The woman who greated us told us about a music festival in Tegernsee, and that we could take a boat to the festival. We followed the recommandation and it was av night I will never forget! The hotel has a big garden with sunbeds, and it also has an indoors pool. Unfortenately we just stayed for one night. I will absolutely come back!

My husband and I stayed here for four nights. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and had lovely views - though not of the lake. The bathroom floors was heated which was a great luxury as it was a very cold spell in May. The owner and his wife go out of their way to make you feel at home. For Bayern Munich football fans, this house was built in the early 70s by the then president of the club as a centre for training. Lots of memorabilia can be found in the basement bar (honour system for drinks) and there is also a lovely pool and sauna to boot. Not cheap - 180 euros a night - but you get what you pay for!

Warm welcome by the English speaking receptionist who showed us to our room which was decorated in a traditional Bavarian style. Even the doors to the rooms were hand painted. Huge room complete with sofa & 2 armchairs as well as the usual ammenities including a balcony. The hotel has a large indoor pool and sauna area which was a great place to relax by and the pool is long enough to swim laps in. Although the hotel has no restauarnt they will hapilly make reservations & recommendations for you in the nearby towns. The mini bars in the rooms are cheaper than most of the local bars & encourages you to make full use of them during your stay. Breakfast is very extensive with plenty of choice including seasonal fruit & smoked salmon on the buffet served in a very plesantly lit room. I would have liked to have stayed longer as the staff were excellent and made it such a relaxing stay. If we were in the area i would definately use this hotel again.
