Five minute walk to the bus stop which takes you to Apollonia, Kastro etc. My room had a balcony which was wonderful to relax on. The room was quiet and comfortable. My room was serviced every day, fresh baking by the owner was left every day. Best Gyros I have ever had in a restaurant 2 mins walk from the property. Would highly recommend this property.
Wasn’t a big issue for me but the shower area was very tiny.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026The property was in the perfect location to access the Main Street, ferry port and beach easily. The woman who owns the property went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay that exceeded expectations.
Just be aware that the bathroom is a wet room and the shower can be quite a tight squeeze, however this didn't diminish our experience at all.

Un bel terrazzino fuori per fare colazione, la gentilezza di Sofia che prepara tutti i giorni l'occorrente per la colazione. La vicinanza alla spiaggia, poi, rende il soggiorno ancora più piacevole!

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026L'emplacement (tout à proximité, commerces ferry plage bus), la propreté (menage quotidien draps et serviettes changés tous les jours) et la gentillesse de notre hôte avec ses petites attentions (panier garni pour petits déjeuners avec des gâteaux maison en plus). Mise à dispo de parasol pour la plage.
Nous avions un logement avec vue mer ce qui était super même s'il manquait peut être un ombrage (impossible de déjeuner sur la terrasse le midi).

Μας άφηνε κουλουράκια για να πίνουμε με τον καφέ σε αυτό το πανέμορφο μπαλκόνι που διαθέτει το κάθε κατάλυμα . Άλλαζε καθημερινά σεντόνια πετσέτες φρόντιζε υπερβολικά για την καθαριότητα του κάθε δωματίου .

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Η κυρία Σοφία ειναι πολυ καλος και ευγενικός άνθρωπος και εξυπηρετική σε ο,τι και αν χρειαστηκαμε. Το πιο σημαντικό, το δωμάτιο ήταν πεντακάθαρο! Κάθε μερα το καθάριζαν και μας έφερναν καθαρές πετσέτες. Τα κρεβάτια και τα μαξιλάρια παρα πολυ άνετα και παρα πολυ βολική και η τοποθεσία καθώς μεσα σε μισό λεπτό βρισκόσουν στον κεντρικό δρόμο του λιμανιού.
Το ντουζ ηταν άβολο γιατι ηταν μικρος ο χώρος και δεν διαχωριζοταν απο την τουαλέτα. Παρόλα αυτα ηταν κατι που ηδη το γνωρίζαμε οταν κάναμε κράτηση. Ηταν πολυ ευχάριστη η διαμονή μας και θα το επιλέγαμε ξανά σίγουρα. Σας ευχαριστούμε πολυ κυρία Σοφία!

Σοφία ήταν καταπληκτική, πάντα πρόθυμη να απαντήσει σε όλες μου τις ερωτήσεις και να βοηθήσει σε οτιδήποτε χρειαζόμουν. Η φιλοξενία της έκανε τη διαμονή μου πραγματικά ξεκούραστη και με έκανε να νιώσω σαν στο σπίτι μου. Θα το επέλεγα ξανά χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη.

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026Unpretentious accomodation perfectly situated in Kamares, seconds away from the beach, bakeries, bars and restaurants. Sofia made us feel instantly welcome and offered the rare mix of attentive, discreet and friendly hospitality. If you’re lucky, you might even get a plate of her delicious, freshly-baked biscuits. The room was spacious, with a nice balcony overlooking the sea. We recommend To Steno very highly!! Thank you so much Sofia for being such an amazing host.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026La proprietaria è gentile, e la struttura è vicina al porticciolo dell'isola. I materassi ed i cuscini sono ottimi, la biancheria morbida e pulita. Frigorifero e condizionatore hanno funzionato bene.
Le indicazioni per trovare la struttura sono scarse, e quindi metto una foto per identificare il piccolo vicolo in salita dal porto. Il balcone è sulla strada ed il panorama non è certo da cartolina; inoltre e' sotto il sole tutto il giorno e manca un ombreggiante. Il bagno è piccolo e la doccia 50x50cm è tutt'uno col wc; l'acqua calda non c'era. Il WiFi era troppo debole e non funzionava. Il prezzo è alto rispetto alla qualità della stanza. In generale l'isola è cara e poco ospitale: perfino Santorini è più economica!

Ιδιαίτερη μνεία θα κάνω στη Σοφία , που όπως πάντα ήταν διαθέσιμη να μας εξυπηρετήσει με χαμόγελο και θετική ενέργεια.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026To steno was close to the port and very close to the beach. All the shops and taverns were close too. Sophia who ran it was delightful and helpful. A bonus was a basket with crispbread, jams, milk, butter etc. so no need to buy breakfast.
My room faced the road at the back and was open for everyone to see you clearly on the terrace.

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026It was very clean and the location was amazing. Maps doesn’t show it but there are stairs down to the beach so it just takes around 30 steps to the beach. Our host was also very nice, kind and responsive. I would definitely stay here again.
The only downside would be the shower. It doesn’t have a shower cabin but has curtains instead. It is not a big problem but of course I would always prefer cabin so the bathroom stays nice and clean after the shower 😊

Notre bateau nous a déposés à 12h30 et nous avons pu disposer immédiatement de nos chambres malgré un Check in à 15h. La vue sur la mer de notre terrasse quoique gênée par les tuyaux de réfrigération du restaurant juste en face. La gentillesse du personnel.
Nos amis avaient une douche extrêmement petite, coincée à côté des WC. Le climatiseur fuyait dans la chambre. Nous avons dû mettre une gamelle dessous. C'était mieux que la valise qui y était précédemment. L'odeur de cuisine du restaurant d'à côté qui est inévitable sur les terrasses.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Our To Steno studio apartment in Kamares by the port reflected so many aspects I was hoping for. This was Greece….. the colour scheme, the hospitality of Yiannis and his staff, the sunsets, the simplicity and location to cafes, restaurants, local beach and public buses. I would start my day sitting on the balcony sipping on coffee before venturing downstairs to my favourite breakfast spot (Pipis Cafe). Whilst we explored other villages / beaches on Sifnos and ventured out on a couple of hikes (Apollonia - Kastro and from Platys Gialos to the Monestry of Chrissopigi), we always returned for our evening meal in one of Kamares numerous eating places. I would definitely stay here again.
The shower area is small and could prove challenging to some.

The buses from kamares aren't the best but it's a convincent location from the ferry and has the beach at your doorstep unlike pollianna.
