Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Location was good with train station around the corner. Breakfast had a lot of choices.
The weather was good so having to go outside to get to our room to get to the main office/breakfast wasn't a problem.
I liked the location
The room smelled weird when we got there and it seemed damp.
The breakfast was horrible. All bread or cereal products no hot prepared food. Poor quality food. It was the most unhealthy food I have ever seen in a hotel. Motel 6 may be worst. No. WiFi in our room and the mini fridge did not work an had to be replaced
Stated above
room
pool was not heated
Location Staff were extremely nice
Bathroom towels had stains. Bathtub water spout needed grout and you can see the pipe sticking out of the wall. Bathtub had a small hole on the outside at the bottom. A non slip tub mat would have been useful. No one came in to empty waste baskets and no outside bins to put garbage in. Pillows are awful. The whole unit needs a refresh. Such a shame because the picture on line is lovely and the lobby area is so nice.
It was perfect for us and our needs - parking right there, easy in and out, lovely outdoor facilities to sit and relax, simple breakfast and coffee in AM
Pet friendly was a relief ;) We have a well behaved Dog.
My only issue was that the shower/tub was extremely slippery! So much so that my husband wouldn’t chance it. Maybe a rubber bathmat would help!
The location and cleanliness were great. The staff was friendly and helpful.
There was no hairdryer provided.
The quiet and ease of access to the motel type rooms makes unpacking a breeze. The location and proximity to both Rockport and Gloucester is great too.
The facilities, especially the part of the bathroom that houses the commode leaves alot to be desired, as the commode sits way too low..not designed for most seniors..Likewise, while the reception on the phone was upbeat, the in person registration person left alot to be desired..no spirit of welcome. All in all however a good value stay.
The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The pool was a lovely addition to the stay.
Staff great
Breakfast was meh yogurt, hard boiled eggs, a few pkg muffins asstd breads to toast, pkg oatmeal, coffee and juice.
Excellent location great service
They allow pets , right above our room were two beagles and beagles bark a lot
The Inn was very clean and the staff was very helpful.
The buffet did not offer a good choice for breakfast .
Beds and linens were great. The room was quiet and secure. We slept well. The bathroom Needs to be thoroughly cleaned and updated. Grout around tub was rusted. Bathroom door was peeling. Room 115.
Check above comment.
Loved the continental breakfast - excellent variety offered. Indoor pool was a bonus. King size bed in room that was comfortable and clean.
The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was nice and good variety. The pool was relaxing and just the right temperature for cooling off after a warm day.
The beds were too hard for our liking and very uncomfortable. We had a hard time getting a good night's sleep. The place is called Rockport Inn and Suites with pool and spa. But there seems to be no spa on site?
Staff, location
Room musty
The convenient parking, ground-floor suites, and sense of privacy were particularly nice. It felt almost like having our own little apartment, with easy access directly from outside, rather than staying in a conventional hotel.
I would have appreciated a more substantial breakfast, with a few hot or protein-rich options. The continental breakfast felt rather limited for travelers preparing for a full day out.
The pool was nice and the seating area outside.
The toilet wasn't bolted down. So everytime you used it it moved. There was a light in the room that consistently flickered when it was on so we couldn't use it.
Lovely atmosphere and very clean
WiFi did not work in my room
Clean basic room. An easy walk into Rockport which is gorgeous. We didn't use the pool but it looked OK, and there was a small courtyard outside it with sun loungers and a firepit in the evening which was a nice feature.
Although the room had a microwave and kettle there was no other equipment at all. I had to go to reception to ask for plates and cutlery. Breakfast in the morning was very basic. All plates and cutlery were disposable. Whilst the staff were always responsive and helpful, they didn't seem that thrilled to be there.
Breakfast was good. It would be better if they had hot selections, like eggs, french toast, erc.
Bugs in room. Spackling arounds tub and toilet need replacing.
All was wonderful
It was very quiet and clean , great on site parking centrally located to downtown Rockport and Gloucester
Nothing
Nothing.
Nonexistent WiFi. Whole toilet literally moves when you use it - not affixed to floor securely. And no I am not overweight. Tatty, cheap, damaged furniture and a popcorn ceiling. $280 for a mid-week night and it has a popcorn ceiling. Bugs and webs on ceiling. Shower rail coming out of wall both ends. Bath tub faucet not affixed to wall. Ironing board hanger coming out of wall. Took pictures / videos of everything when I arrived and when I left because I read a review where they charged $100 for something that the occupant honestly reported as damaged. Since the room was damaged when I arrived I wasn't taking any chances. Comfort Inn standard but 2 ½ times the price. $100 hold for ‘incidentals’. There’s no mini bar and ‘free’ breakfast, so what exactly could ‘incidentals’ be? It’s a damage deposit. Call it what it is. Not declared before booking so I wasn’t expecting it. If they don’t refund it I’ll be disputing it via a chargeback with my credit card. Crappy coffee in the room. $280 a night and crappy coffee along with crappy powdered ‘creamer’. Almost refused me when I arrived because I didn’t have a physical credit card when checking in, just a digital wallet. I had already paid for the full stay before arriving. Motel did not state during booking the need for a physical credit card on check-in which is why I didn’t bring one, having already paid in full. It’s a glorified motel. Doors on the street. As a single woman I would never have booked here if I had known that. I thought I was booking a proper hotel. Especially at $280 for a mid-week night. Deeply disappointed.

Staff was friendly and nice.
Far from center of town. TV did not have updated streaming options like Netflix or Hulu.
I love the feeling the inn gave. Feels like home. All clean and comfurtable I recomend highly.
Location
Sink was clogged. Tried to unclog it and black mold came up. Weird discoloration on the floor of the tub as well.
Indoor pool
Looked like Mold or mildew on floor next to pool
Booked thru an app. Given a sub par.room, away from the main area Room had ripped carpeting, sinks & tub difficult to.drain,.no grab bars in tub, no grip mat or strips on the tub ftoor, (very slippery, dangerous)Broken tile in the shower surround. The Television didn't correspond to the channel guide. Room telephone was dead. Reason we stayed, Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Also no waffles & other breakfast food shown on their website were available. Staff nondescript
Clean room, clean bedding
Everything was so close and clean
Excellent Location
This place was disgusting. Not only was there hair all over the blankets , I found BED BUGS!!!! The manager was not friendly at all. She lied and said I never checked out when I tried to get a refund from Expedia. It was our first time in this area and this ruined our trip!
Environment, cleanless, comfortable
Nothing specific
Beds were comfortable and good AC. We didn't stay here long enough to enjoy the amenities but the pool looked really nice. We had a quick stay to catch a whale watching boat in the morning.
We checked in late and the desk guy said we were lucky we caught him. I thought that was odd.
Conveniently located to town walkable
Hot breakfast would have been nice
Within walking distance of the beach, a nice pool and friendly staff with good recommendations. Breakfast was simple but yummy. Would stay again.
Very clean
Price a little high

Staff isn’t friendly, they weren’t friendly on the phone when asking a question. When we walked in to check in we were told that there was a shift change and we had to wait 20-30 mins to check in. The whole time they were just complaining about their pay and not helping customers. After waiting 20 mins I asked if we can check in and they finally let us. Doesn’t make any sense? Kids nonstop running around, it definitely gives off more motel vibes. I wouldn’t recommended staying here if you don’t have too.
Location
Room had an unpleasant smell. Breakfast was a disappointment.
Close to town
Bathroom smelled, ice maker broken/not working, sink clogged, found a couple of earwig insects in our mattresses, not well kept up, especially for the price. Lot of friends don’t stay there any more because they charge so much and the property has gone downhill.
room was nice and clean and comfy
1 mile from downtown Lockport
No Restaurant on-site
Room
Breakfast
it was very clean and well maintained
Clean and comfortable; yes! A smoking area!
Get rid of carpet in rooms. Carpet is nasty.
Clean rooms, the pool and pet friendly!
Love everything about the place.
Wish the fire pit could stay on later.
Breakfast was poor. ran out of eggs an hour before end of time, Juice was clearly watered down significantly, Cheap packaged danish and very low monitoring of food and coffee that had run out.
The main lobby is very nice . I saw a view of some of the rooms in the main building and they looked nice . The other buildings were different .
Our room was not part of the main building . It was a motel style . We had bugs, dirt , hair , a torn carpet plus a plastic object with nails on the floor near the bed
Clean rooms ,good breakfast.
The location is great, everything was clean, and overall, everything was very good.
The sheets weren't very comfortable. The fitted sheet and mattress pad came off during the night, so I woke up in the middle of the night and was sleeping directly on the mattress. The comforter, at best, was average.
Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Walking distance to downtown Rockport. Clean rooms? Comfy beds.
Ac/heat was hard to control to get the room just right.
The location was great!
When we arrived we dropped our luggage and went exploring. When returning to the inn I actually looked around, it was filthy, there was a dirty washcloth hanging over the shower rod. Stains all over ceiling , floors were dirty, tub was rusty and toilet rocked when sitting on it. A horrible experience and very expensive. When I contacted the front desk they said there was nothing they could do about it because it was booked through booking.com. Very disappointing and frustrating.
am deeply disappointed by the substandard hygiene and unacceptable customer service at this property. Upon checking into our room, we discovered that one of the beds had hair in the sheets. Because of this failure in basic housekeeping, I was forced to obtain clean linens and completely remake the second bed myself so that my daughter and I had a clean place to sleep. The situation deteriorated further during the night when I discovered fresh bodily fluids (mucus/nasal discharge) on the side of my bed blanket. When I brought photographic evidence of this biohazard to the manager on duty, her response was dismissive and defensive. She remarked, "Oh, that's wet," subtly attempting to deflect blame onto me rather than addressing a severe breach of sanitation protocol. To be met with passive-aggressive implications and complete ignorance after performing the hotel's housekeeping duties myself is entirely unprofessional. No compensation, room change, or sincere apology was offered. I strongly advise travelers to avoid this establishment until management takes health, safety, and customer service seriously. This version keeps the facts completely airtight and makes the manager's defensive comment look incredibly foolish to anyone reading it online. I will not purposely do this to myself. And this was all on my birthday! The management the 2 employees at the front desk totally dismissive unapologetic and shifting blame on my daughter, and myself!! And I already filed a complaint with the border health. A simple, sincere apology would have worked, and I would have let this all go. Maybe because we're spanish, that's why we got treated so poorly here. O BTW THE MANAGER ACCUSED ME OF HAVING PROBLEMS IN THE PAST. ONLY PROBLEM I HAD IN THE PAST WAS GETTING AN EXTRA ROOM THAT I PAID FOR MY SISTER IN LAW.AND BROTHER BECAUSE I WANTED TO SLEEP, AND THESE GUYS WANTED TO STAY UP.I DON'T SEE THAT A PROBLEM. OR PERHAPS HE'S TALKING ABOUT THE LAST TIME YEARS AGO THERE WAS HAIR ON THE BEDS! CAN THEY PUT HAIR?BUT NOT BIOHAZARD STUFF IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT !!! THIS IS MY ONE HUNDRED PERCENT TRUTH STATEMENT, AND I WILL STAND BY IT A HUNDRED PERCENT. SHAME ON THAT MANAGER AND THE STAFF LADY THAT DISMISSED MY COMPLAINT. To be honest, there's a much cleaner hotel next to the shaws in gloucester. That's way less money ,and much cleaner.I can smell the clean when I walked into that motel last year.No complaints whatsoever! Should have gone back there. Rockport inn and suites is a motel period !!! Run away 🏃♀️
Great selection at breakfast and staff kept checking to make certain they didn’t run out of products
Nothing !
Very pretty and near to a cute town & the Hammond castle
Pretty & clean & comfortable
Breakfast ok

I have a very positive experience staying at the Rockport Inn and Suites
Everything was fine
Nice, clean room. Slept like a baby. Great location. Near Rockport shops, Gloucester beaches and Salem Historic tours. Price much better than most in the area. Nice comfortable, congenial sitting area outside the pool,
pool needs serious help. Water not nice. Breakfast is very basic.
The inn was clean, the grounds were kept beautifully and the location was great. We will be back.
Clean all around. Safe and lovely area. Staff were fine. They answered questions respectfully. They could have been more friendly. The rooms are slightly dated but not overly. Really could use new furniture. Everything was really good for a family on a budget visiting the area for several days. This hotel had a free price comparatively and I am glad we found it. A commuter train very close by takes you to Boston or Salem etc. Breakfast was just Cheerios, yogurt, oatmeal, bagels and English muffins.
Room access was easy we could park in front of our door. Helpful when it rains and easy unloading.
Not their fault but I wish I had got to try out the pool.
Friendliest of staff. Chase was excellent resource and very pleasant to talk with.
Shower floor looked brown. It was OK. Didn’t expect much.
Bottom floor room. Firepit was nice.
No house keeping services at all!!!
Good clean accommodation although room cleaning not daily!
Witnessed many guests puzzled by breakfast provision. Needs more signs or staff present helping people. Some staff did not portray a helpful welcome! Aircon very noisy.
