Female dorm room was clean and had its own shower and a toilet. Closer to the city centre and a short bus ride away. Good value for money would stay there again.

Nothing really as I got value to what I paid.

There is a very long hilly walk up from the train station to get to this location. It would have been nice to know that there is a Bus that can drop you at the front door.

Very clean and newly decorated en-suite double room, Very good kitchen facilities for self catering.

The only down side was the shower water wasn't very warm in the evening and cold the next morning.

What a beautiful house – it’s where the main hotel building is located! We stayed in the house at the back of the property; it’s a modern building in a convenient location with a lovely view. The house itself is well connected by public transport; there’s public on-street parking and bus stops nearby.

There were no shower towels or even hand towels in the room. The mattress was just foam, with no springs. We couldn’t open the window properly; we could only crack it open slightly. When we entered the room, it smelled of stale air from the bathroom.

Großartiges altes Herrenhaus oberhalb von Bath. Die Aussicht war grandios, die Mitarbeiter super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt eine Bar, Gesellschaftsspiele und ein gutes Frühstück.

- information über die Anreise mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln war extrem unverständlich - self- Catering Küche hat keinen Herd, nur Microwelle und Air Fryer, was das Kochen etwas kompliziert macht

-Kein Herd, Kein Topf in der Gemeinschaftsküche trotz ausdrücklicher Werbung im Haus, selbst etwas kochen zu können. -Fenster lassen sich trotz Hochsommer (Juli-Hitzewelle > 33°C) nur ganz wenig öffnen und sind echt schmutzig. -Kein Parken im Gelände. (Ausweich auf öffentliche Straße mit mehr oder weniger Weg lösbar.) -laute knarrende Türen (die Küchentür ölte ich selbst, da es nicht erträglich war) brauchen Pflege! -nur eine Schließkarte für 5 Personen

It’s a bit complicated to get there by walk(uphill). But they have busses going there, so it’s okay.

Propre et confortable. Très familial. L'espace partagé est très convivial. Bon espace pour cuisiner. Nombreux jeux à disposition.

Les lits sont sommaires : pas de rideaux pour plus d'intimité et les tablettes de nuit sont absentes sur 4 lits/6.

La posizione per visitare Bath è buona, ma l’auto è altamente consigliata. La colazione non è male, ma si paga a parte. Lo staff è cordiale, il posto è tranquillo ed immerso nel verde. Ci sono molti giovani.

La pulizia delle camere è molto approssimativa, c’è molta polvere soprattutto nelle prese d’aria e nel ventilatore. I letti sono molto scomodi e rumorosi ad ogni movimento, la nostra camera affacciava su un cortile interno con apparecchiature che facevano un rumore continuo durante la notte. La stanza era molto piccola così come il bagno.

La camera tripla familiare molto piccola e con soltanto una finestra con apertura limitata. Materassi foderati di plastica.

Ich habe das Hostel wegen der Lage gebucht - ein wenig außerhalb des Zentrums, aber im grünen und ruhig, das war auch sehr angenehm. Der Essraum mit Küche war recht großräumig und es war viel Platz. Auch das Zimmer war groß, wobei man den vielen Platz in der Mitte nicht wirklich nutzen kann. Das Hostel ist außerdem gleich beim Startpunkt für den Bath Skyline walk.

Es war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, dass es keine Herdplatten zum kochen gab, aber man kommt zurecht. Es wäre praktisch, bei den Betten eine etwas größere Ablagefläche zu haben. Die Anreise von der Zugstation zum Hostel war etwas mühsam, da zu der Zeit, als ich da war, die Busstationen außer Betrieb/aufgelöst waren. In dem Fall ist es am einfachsten, ein Taxi zu nehmen, da man zu Fuß über einen sehr steinigen Weg und Stiegen den Hügel rauf muss.

Die ruhige Lage, die Ausstattung und die Sauberkeit waren super. Die Möglichkeit, sich selbst zu versorgen oder Essen dazu zu buchen bzw. im Hostel Abends warm zu essen ist super, da die Unterkunft etwas außerhalb am Berg liegt. Gerade weil bei unserem Aufenthalt kein Bus fuhr. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Die Aussicht grandios🤩

Staff were welcoming and no-fuss. The common space was open 24/7 for drinks, lunch, or dinner, plus a bar serving beer round the clock. The room was spacious for six, and the English breakfast was tasty and good value, with kids only £1 extra.

We visited in summer during a hot spell and couldn't open the windows (blocked by some device), and the fan provided was low quality, with no up-down setting so it only blew vertically. It's a youth hostel, so no real complaints there, but the bunk beds, mattresses, and pillows were below par. I can sleep anywhere so it was fine for me, though it might not suit everyone's back.

Matthew wouldn't let one our party in as he had no driving licence. He is 76 and wasn't allowed to the bed paid for. I see ID mentioned at the bottom of 1 of 15 emails from booking.com. But why? We are in Britain.

No enough toilets upstairs, one of the toilet no working and the 1 st floor had only one toilet for all costumers, was really not a good experience

Staff were lovely and super helpful. I arrived early and they could keep my bag somewhere safe while the room was readied The place is easy to get to - either a short bus ride which drops you off right on the doorstep, or a beautiful twenty minute walk through fields to the city of bath where you can see the entire city spread out beneath your feet from the panorama spot. Beds were comfy the room clean with a huge beautiful window a fan and two bathrooms which were clean too. A nice full body mirror is also in the room and light and sockets by each bed Even hooks are provided for hanging your clothes. The place has a wonderful wood wall and fun information for kids, and some games out the back in the garden It is also a well maintained old mansion with a great lounge tv indoor games area and bar. I loved staying here!!! Would always recommend YHA places!

Wunderschönes Ambiente, Fußweg 20min zur Stadt. Essen war Spitze! Ausstattung Jugendherberge halt, voll in Ordnung.

Kein Parken am Haus möglich, aber zum Be-und Entladen wird es akzeptiert.

It was a beautiful building and facilities were clean. We had a modern room with our own bathroom. Gorgeous view. Easy parking. Staff friendly. Breakfast was quite good, although hot food was overcooked. Easy bus trip to city.

The room was sweltering hot. Although a fan was provided the windows don’t open so no air can get in. It would probably bre fine Im cooler weather but makes it hard to sleep on hot nights.

El desayuno le faltaba de todo, faltó café que tardaron en poner, faltó fruta, faltaban huevos. Muy caro para la poca oferta del desayuno. Hacia muchísimo calor en la habitación y no había más que un ventilador que hacía mucho ruido. El baño estaba sucio.

A characterful old house and friendly service

We stayed during a heatwave and the building was obviously not designed for such conditions, but the locks on the windows prevented night airing . Perhaps something could be done about this ? The lack of a hob in the self-catering kitchen also greatly reduced the possibilities of food preparation

Es un edificio antiguo, con amplio jardín.

En la habitación compartida con literas hacia calor y los demás huéspedes no eran cuidadosos cuando regresaban a la habitación a la 4 am. Hacían ruido y encendían las luces de las camas, que a pesar de ser pequeñas, daban mucha luz.

Viel zu kleine Ablagen für persönliche Gegenstände beim Bett. Kein Ort für Gepäck/Koffer im Mehrbettzimmer, wenn man das Bett direkt beim Eingang hat.

The staff refused one of us entry because he had no ID. We paid for 4 beds, but we're only allowed 3. ID? This is Britain and we had a paid contract. Matthew was a complete jobsworth. Also, the room was described as a twin, but it was a double. Two grown men tucked in together.

El edificio en si y el enclave precioso

Elegimos una habitacion con baño y el baño era diminuto, como el de un avión. La habitación muy espartana, la moqueta sucia y los precios de la comida muy elevados tratandose de un hostel. Lo siento pero para ser un hostel con tantas estrellas me decepcionó. Me he alojado en hostels con menos estrellas pero de mayor calidad.

Great space/room for the self catering kitchen area although not able to cook on a hob which was difficult for us (I understand this isn't possible at this yha) Window in room 2 didn't open enough as I would have liked so felt hot and stuffy.

The room wreaked of smoke. It was gross. The breakfast was not good and ya.. I would not go back.

I’m sorry but the bedrooms were not clean - there was dust all around the skirting and rubbish left under the bunk beds.

It was clean and comfortable. Hostels are always basic but everything was well maintained and thought out. The staff were lovely. I really appreciated being provided with a fan in the room - I wasn’t expecting it but helps a lot given the heatwave and travelling with a small child.

Honestly not a lot; it was lovely. Literally the only thing I can think of is the rubber mattress is kinda squeaky and annoying when your partner turns over etc. But even then, it’s nice to know they’re really easy to sanitise and nothing lives in them!

L'emplacement en retrait du centre ville et au vert (très appréciable lors de la canicule), bien qu'il soit difficile d'accès à pied avec un gros sac à dos ou lorsqu'il fait très chaud : l'hôtel est en hauteur et il faut monter pendant une quinzaine de minutes.

L'absence de plaques de cuisson dans la cuisine pour cuisiner, j'aurais aimé le savoir avant pour anticiper, d'autant plus qu'il n'y a pas de supermarché ou de restaurant à proximité :-)

Pessoas cordiais, estabelecimento muito bom, quarto espaçoso e confortável. Cozinha ampla. Banheiros práticos e limpos. Tem uma área externa deliciosa.

Distância do centro ( apesar do caminho ser fantástico pela trilha para descer).

The shared toilet/shower space means everything is wet after a shower.

Great location. We enjoyed the bedroom. Lovely leafy view, cool breezes, plenty of space for two of us in twin beds. Good communal spaces. Outdoor picnic benches in the sun.

Perhaps a warning on booking the bedroom we were in (room 1) that it is up very steep stairs with a very low ceiling on the stairs. Would have been extremely difficult with low mobility or a large suitcase. No hobs in the self catering kitchen. Towels not ready on arrival.

Helpful staff. Nice clean room. Very grateful of the bar after a long walk! Nice breakfast.

Easy check in and facilities with a kitchen. They had a lot of games we could play as well, and a big common room for us to sit in.

The hostel is quite far up a hill, so I recommend taking the bus there. It was also quite cold and damp in our room, and the walls were thin so we could hear the opening and closing of doors from outside and above.

Mukava hostelli hienolla paikalla. Lyhyt jkävelymatka keskustaan ja hienot näkymät matkalla kaupunkiin päin. Erittäin toimiva kokonaisuus ja naisten makuusali toimi täti-ihmisellekin hyvin kävelymatkan levähduspaikkana.

Naisten makuusalin suihkun lattia olisi kaivannut korjausta.
